I disagree with the 11/20 comment. Yes you MUST be there for every class but No you are not guaranteed a B if you go. Seems like half the class got Cs. I do well in math but got a C here. She is hard and grades tests strictly. Good lecture and fun though

This teacher is absolutely HORRIBLE! She uses student name cards which are elementary. Do NOT show up to class unprepared. She likes calling on EVERYBODY in the class for participation. If you are timid or unsure of yourself, this is NOT the teacher to take. She is very loud and arrogant. Boot Camp! The WORST Math teacher at Montgomery College!

Math is very difficult for me. The class was a lot of fun. Yes she is very strict, but she loves her job, and is a very good teacher. I liked the class because she does not put up with Joker's in the class and disruptions. She even gives you extra time on test if needed. I needed extra time, every time. I made a B in the class.

This teacher is excellent if you are the kind of person who wants to learn. She constantly calls on students to answer questions. She loves the subject and is very good at it.

Be prepared to pay attention in class! Great teacher if you want to learn the material. She really cares about teaching.

She was absolutely the hardest teacher I've ever had. Almost impossible to make an "A". She's always calling on people during class, especially if she thinks your not paying attention. Be prepared for her test. They are extremely difficult (honestly). I would definately not recommend her. Especially if your wanting a decent grade like an A or B.

College algebra is hard. If you come to class and do your homework, you probably will pass this class. Prof. Pollock does not like slackers. She will call on you in class and demand that you pay attention. If you do as she wishes though, you will do well and pass.

Fun prof. Try not to miss a lecture! Tests are based off of the worksheets, which are done in class. She gives warnings when tests will be hard and drops hints on questions that will be on tests. Homework is mainly from My Math Lab. She tries to answer all of your questions and slows down when she feels students aren't getting the material.

Awesome teacher. Hard to fail her class unless you don't show up or not paying attention. Goes over work very well and teaches in depth everything you need to take outcomes and to do good on the class. Just show up and pay attention she makes it an easy class especially for me, I did very well and I'm not too good at math.

I love math but pollock completely turned me off from the subject by the 3rd week. I couldnt stand how she would move on without answering questions or even erasing problems before they were copied. Not very sympathetic. Cant stand her, wouldnt recommend her to anyone.

EXTREMELY HARD lady. she does not care if you understand, she goes on. if you dont she will simply tell you to go the ELC and ask for help. she calls on you random times. she is very hard to understand. test are extremely hard..if you do ask something she responds "this is not 0310 i do not teach that." take someone else. does not give notes

She is very interested in the subject matter. She speaks to the students like they are still in high school. Which was quite irritating. Plus she is way too in love with her self and thinks way too much about her self. Tells you you "have" to solve this matrix to be able to leave class and it says "I love my professor" how lame!

The best teacher for Math 1350! Make sure you do the homework BEFORE the test! She knows her stuff & makes it fun to learn. If you never understood math before - you will after this class! Attendance is Mandatory! Scary at first but turned out to be the best class I have taken!

Prof. Pollock is great! I totally HATE math and am awful at it, and she actually teaches so that I "got" it. Made an "A" - never did that in my life!!

Mrs.Pollock was incredible! whenever she taught us geometry (which I hate) it made sense! She has a way of explaining things where everyone can understand it. She is strict about tardiness, absences, and cell phone use though. She is super sweet and funny. I totally recommend her!

Ms. Pollock is an extremely helpful and friendly teacher. She really wants her students to do well. If you are attentive, she is there to help you. If you are not, than it's you fault you are not learning anything because she really explains the subject very, very well. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

When I say this Professor is AWESOME, I do mean AWESOME!!! Before I met Professor Pollock I absolutely dreaded Math and it was my worst subject! She is so hands on with every one in the class and strangely enough she actually makes it fun! As long as you do your homework and participate, it's a breeze! I defiantly recommend her!!

Ms Pollock is an exceptional teacher. I took her online class. The online mymathlab is excellent. Anything that the mymathlab did not explain fully, Ms Pollock explained in her return email (which is the same day). I HIGHLY recommend Ms Pollock and will definitely be watching for Ms Pollock to be teaching other classes that I need.

Professor Pollock is a little scary at first but is a caring instructor. Be warned, she calls on everyone to answer questions aloud and on the board. She gives helpful test reviews and homework is done through My Math Lab. She is fair on grading and communicates expectations very well. You must attend classes. I highly recommend taking her.

It is not a hybrid class, yet all tests are online. Very personable and helpful teacher. Makes you feel like you are in elementary school because she makes you make and use a nametag.

Was very fortunate to have taken Mrs. Pollock this semester for MATH1332. She was absolutely the BEST math teacher I have EVER had, at any level. She actually teaches you the skills that will be needed to succeed. I would highly suggest Mrs. Pollock for anyone who will be taking this course.

She was a great and entertaining. Expect her to bring up her book from time to time, if you ask her to autograph a copy on the first day it will probably make her semester. She will give some bonus assignments that will add to your test scores.

Professor Pollock is great! If you need her to clarify something she will go above and beyond to help you. She listens, and her lectures are engaging. She takes tests seriously, but she will consider your concerns if you've had an issue. The name tags will annoy you, but they serve a legit purpose. She loves her students, and you should take her!

She is amazing. Sometimes she seems like a spaz, but it helps to destress the classroom when learning something difficult. Very helpful and actually ENJOYS teaching. Will definitely be taking her for 1314. Because it's developmental math, tests are taken in lab but she's helpful with homework.

I took Dr. Pollock's 0308 MATH class (it was my first semester ever) and while it was challenging to begin with, she really is a great teacher. Answering questions when asked and wants you to succeed. Expect to be called on sometime in the class room. She wants to make sure students understand what she's saying. Also, has an outgoing personality.

Professor Pollock was very nice and willing to help. She provides plenty of extra credit work to make up your grade. She take the time to explain any questions you might have about the lesson.

In the online class I took, you have to teach yourself everything. If you can do that, then this class is about what you might expect. Ms. Pollock replied quickly to emails. In my opinion, the material covered in this class (college math for liberal arts) was much easier than an algebra class. No extra credit was offered.

She uses MyMath Lab to teach the course and lets you have access to a review test before taking the four major exams, these are identical to the test with the numbers changed, so it was pretty easy to make 100s on the exam.

Either you get it or you don't. Easy if you understand how she teaches it. Extremely difficult if you don't. Overall great professor and it helps a lot if you show up to class

Hands down the best math professor I've ever had. I absolutely hate math, but somehow Professor Pollock made it enjoyable. She really wants you to pass and is more than willing to go out of her way to help you. I would recommend her to anyone who has struggled with math in the past!

I took Math- Liberal Arts as an online class. I struggle w/ math, but this was a good course for me. You need your book & there is a hefty amount of homework, however she unlocks all assignments and gives you unlimited attempts to succeed. You can literally work a problem 100x if you need/want to. The prof. was very kind and easy to get a hold of.

Took online it is extra $100 for the code to access hw and text book and tests. Have to take tests in testing center which would have been worse if I was doing all courses from home. Nice lady, contacted by her weekly through email. Math is not my subject but still got an A

Professor Pollock is an all-around great lady. She's knowledgeable, hilarious, and caring. Math was never really my strong point, but I always looked forward to her class anyway. As long as you keep up with the work flow, and ask for help when you need it, you should do just fine. Also, you should check out her book, The Darkness Before Dawn.

Her online math class was extremely organized. All of your work was located in ONE SPOT so you do not miss anything. She sent tons of emails and always made you feel connected. You do have to take all your exams at the testing though, and they are worth 80% of your grade, so.

I took this class online during the summer so it was very fast pace. She sent out a ton of emails. Responded to questions almost immediately, and went out of her way to help you succeed even if it made more work for her. Clear requirements laid out. No extra credit or bonus points, so do the homework and practice test! You won't regret taking her!

A true gem! I will miss this professor so very much once the semester is over with! She is incredibly caring AND hilarious! You will not regret taking her course. One of a kind professor!

I missed an exam due to a scheduling confusion and she held the test open for me for a full week afterwards after emailing her about what happened. Even used a smiley face in the email! She understands life happens and I am so grateful for that.

She always uses emojis and seems to really care about everyone and their education. For the online class you use MyMathLab exclusively and if you are not a math person I would highly recommend against taking it online. However, the practice tests and homework questions are very similar to the actual tests. You can also work ahead.

This math class was an online course for me, since Im not very good at math I was a little scared at first. Everything was in order from the start, its planned out so well. There are homework assignments that you will have to make at least a 70 to advance to the test, but there are several things to help you and the homework lets you...

Continued from last post, keep trying until you understand the problem. The tests are short and over the current chapters you are working on, until the final comes and thats a little of everything. If you do the homework and understand itfor the most part, you will pass with an A.

Stay on tract and you will get a good grade. Lots of homework and test but if you do the work there should be no problem getting a good grade. Two attempts for each test, takes the highest score.

MS Pollock is the best Math teacher on the Map so far, This Professor cares about your life and career. I really recommend this Professor.... again I can't stress this enough the best Math teacher on the map. If you are going in the summer at Lonestar Montgomery take this class.

Very interesting and unique math professor... :) Instead of power points every class she works through a packet and it's all the same problems that are on the test :) And there are practice exams!! Just beware that you must complete all online homework assignments or you cannot take the exams. However the hw has examples & 99 attempts per question

She is very understanding but the only problem is she doesn'y give extra credit nor let you do re-takes. READ HER FAQ's.. that is all he will say if you have a question about homework, tests, etc. Her homeworks is exactly like her tests.

One of the easiest math classes I have ever taken. Ms. P really makes the class easy to inderstand and if you watch the videos for each of the chapters then you will pass with flying colors. She is an awesome professor who really wants you to do your best. As long as you are willing to bo the work, you wil have no problem passing her class.

had an online class with her. She ended up leaving the last month i believe and we had someone else but while i had her she was great! answered every email and would help me figure stuff out if i ever asked her for help! I would definitely chose her again if i can!

Had her for an online math class and she was not helpful at all. I would ask questions regarding assignments and she would always tell me to go to tutoring at the school. Tutoring is great once i have already been explained and cannot comprehend it. I worked very hard to come up with money to pay for this class to not even have the TEACHER help me.

Hands down best online professor Ive had + the subject being math! Took in a 6 week mini.. Work was basically all done on my math lab, 5 exams at the testing center. Take the optional practice exams and study those because they are almost identical as the exam! That will help you get a good grade in the class! Also do all the homework ��

She also emails the entire class as a whole and idividually! She was so awesome! She kept in touch and made sure we kept in touch as well as making sure we were all caught up! She was awesome!
