I have taken Math my entire life and I never ran across such a great teacher, she just the best Math teacher I've ever encountered...I highly recommend her...you'll have fun....

She teaches very very good, she makes math look easy, she is very clear, I will recomend...

She is a nice lady and means well. Homework, and lots of it, is a requirement and is counted as 10 points of your test. If you learn math at an extremley slow level, she's for you. If you need brief examples and "cutting to the chase," take another teacher. She's not hot. She's a cute Asian though.

She is very clear with the way she explains math, especially if it's your weakpoint. She really does care about your grades and about you. She does give plenty of homework though, but on the bright side if you do it all she will count it as an easy 10 points towards your test and that really does help you go from a C to a B or even an A sometimes.

Great teacher... Math is truly my weakpoint and she explained it to me without hesitation. She loves what she teaches and you can tell she cares about her students. I highly recommend her =)

Althought she is very good at teaching, she does not grade fairly on exams. She will take points off an exam if you work out a problem differently than the the way she taught you, even if you got every question correct! I think she would be better off teaching math to high school students.

this teacher explains every step of each problem but half of my class left after the midterm. i got an A in her class. she gives you extra credit but it has to be perfect i think she is too picky but she did help me pass the class i thought the final was easy

She's a great teacher! The only reason I didn't pass is because I was not trying hard enough. She actually teaches! She doesn't actually check the homework. YOU SHOULD DO THE HOMEWORK! Her notes are great, very clear and is very helpful when you have questions. Althought attendance is not mandatory for her class, if you want to pass go everyday and get there early.

I had her for 12 weeks during the summer, I thought I'd leave that class a C but I passed w/ an A. She taught fast bcuz there's a schedule to keep but she explains VERY well! If u take this class, & make time to STUDY, like for every math class, u will definitely pass! It's hard if u don't understand math very well, but it's doable. I'm that proof!

Notecards are optional, the points may not seem like a lot, but they helped me get an A. Do the HW cuz it helps!!! Study your notes & PRACTICE! Seems like a lot of work, but no other math class is different. She wants to see you pass, & HELPS you A LOT! I used to hate math before her. She's THE BEST no matter what anyone (who didn't pass) says.

Don't get overwhelmed when you first get in the class, just study! Attend class if U WANT to pass, but it's not mandatory. She keeps you updated on your progress, and it's all about getting points to increase your grades like in ALL classes.

She is very good.She gives a lot of opportunities to get an A and to understand the course. The matter is to be on time, alert and do your extra-credit activities with patience. The only problem that some students consider unfair is that mostly you miss a part of a question, so you miss all of it. Besides that, don't worry she's a GOOD teacher.

Prof. Wong is a good prof. She is very helpful and gives oppurtunities to lift your grade. However, her cass should not be taken with other "hard" classes. MAT0024 was a breeze, but 1033, ehhh. MAT1033 must be 1st priority to get an "A." I would recommend her- but def. not an "easy" A but very possible. She may go alittle fast but hey its college!

Wonderful teacher, she grades kind of hard on assignment but is pretty lenient or tests. She explains in full detail, but she often repeats herself, kinda annoying! The class flows easily b/c each chapter reviews previous learned lessons and adds a little more. Completely Satisfied.

seriously she's good tones of extra credit,with notecards, homework, little events to go to for extra credit, a mini essay worth 10 points, so basically you can't fail. i got a A and math is not my cup of tea.

Her teaching strategy works for me. I found that her extra credit worksheets helped a lot and that you cant miss a day of her class cause it's easy to get lost. She's much better then the professor I had before her and I will be taking Prof Wong for next math course.

Took her a couple of semesters ago and still say that she is one of the best teachers around! Do the notecards because they make a huge difference. REALLY learn the material because none of the exams are multiple choice; it's all show your answers. Other than that, the class is ridiculously easy. All her tests are written, make sure you study ALOT from the notes AND the book. I suggest you buy the solutions manual and go to the lab if you really want to pass. If you dedicate yourself and put time and effort she will help you. The class might seem confusing at times but if you try hard you will PASS. Take advantage of extra credit!

The most helpful and clear math teacher I have had in all my life. This can potentially be the easiest class if you do the h.w (that's were she gets her test questions from) do the extra credit assignments ( trust me those little points start to add up in the end) and don't miss class that will guarantee an easy A.

Very clear with her lecture. Gives plenty of extra credit. You only need the book if you want to practice on your own at home, otherwise everything you will learn will be from the lecture and the extra credit homework sheets she hands out. Very helpful and I definitely recommend her.

Great professor! Gives extra credit for every single lecture. Explains problems rather quick but thoroughly. Allows students do retakes on a quiz or 2 but you must earn it. She is always available to help during office hours. If math isn't your forte dont take her 50 min class because it wont be enough. Quizzes are relatively easy if you do the hw.

Wong is incredible. She's clear (though sometimes not the most concise), very helpful, offers 1 extra credit point for every section & allows you to retake 1 exam at the end of the semester. STUDY. It doesnt take a lot, just review. She uses a program called ALEKS & you need to complete it. It's a bit time-consuming but it's easy & it really helps.

I didn't pass. She tries to help you understand the lessons though, she'll explain over & over until you get it. But I got 100% on the online work & passed 2/4 tests & passed my final and still received a D. Her grading can be a little harsh sometimes. Also, if you get ONE question wrong on extra credit, you won't receive any credit at all for it.

Professor Wong Id say is a good professor. She grades very harshly because she believes in " Show more work" and even if you can't follow her lessons she has an online program that helps better than she can and she still says if you don't understand it just come by during her office hours and she'll explain until you get get it. she is awesome professor in my opinion. i came to her class sucking at math and left with the highest grade. what really helped me was the online program we had to use called aleks. she helped just as much. if you want an A, STUDY and PAY ATTENTION because she tends to teach pretty fast.

I took professor Wong for this semester(FALL'14) and I enjoyed her class. She does give a lot of work so PREPARE! Study well for the tests because they are only 12-13 questions and only four tests the whole semester. NO BOOK! You only have to use the online ALEKS program which is long. Even if you pass all your tests you need to do aleks to pass.

Alice Wong is an amazing math professor. She will break it down until you get it. save her notes because they will be your best friend. She does make you work for a good grade but she is always there if you have any questions. Her tests are also hard and she takes points off for everything so make sure to practice practice practice!

Last summer I had to withdraw because I was failing and failing hard too. However, I am currently taking Professor Wong's class again because she really knows her stuff. The only problem is the amount of work involved. If you are lazy or don't have time for ALEKS, then forget it. All that work is an opportunity to practice and that's all you need.

I failed this class but I cannot blame Prof Wong. I'm just not good at Math and don't think I ever will be. She is a tough grader, gives a lot of work and extra credit. If you have poor time management this class is not for you. Prepare to do work at home to complete the Alex online program. It prepares you for tests and finals. Great professor.

I would not recommend taking her class in a 6-week summer course only because of the amount of work you have to do. Other than that, she means you well. She is a great teacher and boy she wants you to learn. She uses mathTV and a program called ALEKS. I spend and average of 10 hrs each week outside class for all her homework.

I'm naturally good at math, but even if I wasn't she would be the teacher I wanted. She gives a lot of work but it's better that way so if you're not a good test taker, you'll still have a chance to pass. She grades by points earned not percentages which I like better. She gives retests & if you want to pass, she'll make sure it happens. I got an A

I really have a tough time with math but I came in knowing I would need to really work at it. She is a really good professor!! If you take your time and do what she says. ALEKS is a really good tool. Lectures are long but for good reason, do all the HW to get points. She gives extra credit too

Loves to talk then randomly smiles each pause to make sure you understand what she's saying. If you don't and you ask she'll explain it to you.

She's the best math professor I've ever had in my life. She's the reason I'm so good at math now. I took her class last year, and I'm taking MAC1140 right now and I miss her so much. I wish she taught all my math classes. Prof. Wong's lectures include every kind of example you would encounter in the exam. There are no surprises. TAKE HER!!

GREAT prof. Teaches the lectures throughly and breaks it down, easy to understand the material. Shes explains clearly and doesnt mind repeating if your dont understand. Makes good use of tim. Expect to show work step-by-step. if you need help on question or anything, she will help ! Fair grader and sometimes even curves the grading a little.

Hard working professor! I would take her again! She always makes sure to make things clear and offers a lot of extra credit. You have to work for the A but it's not impossible. Make sure to do all of the worksheets assigned and all of the notebook work and don't leave your notebook checks for the last minute! Trust me, the lines can get long.

To be honest.. I was scared to take this professor based on comments but shes a really good teacher i LOVE the way she teaches. I'm not really good at math but the way she teaches isn't hard to understand and she answers questions my only draw back is that she assigns tons of stuff to do but it paid off for me PS there's no book!!

you may not understand her quite well in the beginning but if you put that to the side and pay attention to what shes doing you will be fine. shes does give a lot of work and her test are hard if you dont study or do the aleks before the test. if you comply with alek your fine. i got a C because i retook 2 tests but didint finish aleks.

I took her MAT 1033 Fall 2015 16 week course, and man it was a lot of work but it is worth it. She teaches quite well, sometimes makes it harder than it seems... If you're great with math I totally recommend her! Very caring and loved her! ALEKS is crazy though, would've ended up with an A but I didn't finish my ALEKS so I ended with a B :(

Despite the fact that she talks so fast, she is a good professor. She cares about her job and students. She's hard, but fair. She does give a lot of work, so take them to the math lab and complete them and make sure that you use them as study guides for the quizzes that she'll give you. Plus, she'll give you a program called Aleks to work on.

In all honesty, she is a good professor. However, I will warn that she isn't for everyone. She gives a LOT of work, but you can do it at your leisure for the most part. She gives a ton of second chances and you can retake tests up to three times. If you fail this class, it's because you wanted to with how lenient she can be. 4-function calc allowed

I recommend this teacher because she makes sure you are understanding the material, gives countless opportunities for extra credit and allows you to make up a few tests. She is not for everyone but if you are willing to learn then she's beyond willing to teach. She also gives step by step guidelines to her grading system. Yes much hw but easy

Professor Wong is one of the best math teachers I've had, I learn the material that I couldn't learn with my other math teachers, she is very detailed and specific , she writes each math step on the board and repeats it until it's photographed in your brain. If you want to learn math take her class, if not don't, she's tough.

I took Alice this year for summer A the 6 week course. Let me say one thing it's a lot of work but it's easy work. This Professor cares about YOU! She has a lot of extra credit and shes clear with her instructions. Its basically impossible to fail because she inflates grades with all the extra credit. I hate math, but she made it easy!

Prof. Wong is a very caring individual. She gives many opportunities for makeup, and explains the material over and over. The only downside is that she gives a lot of HW, but it is easy. She also details her grading criteria extremely well. She uses Aleks ($70-$90) instead of a book, and attendance is not a big factor.

With all the amount of work assinged, helps you practice for all the test.

Alice Wong is a very nice/caring professor. She's good at her job and will often repeat things if you do not understand, and she constantly tells you her office hours. If you do not pay attention to her homework assignments or her lectures then you won't have a good time in her class. She gives "alot" of homework but they are not difficult at all.

Hands down, one of the nicest professors I've ever had. She is very passionate about math and helping her students understand the material. However, if you want to pass her class, you will have to demonstrate that you grasp HER concept of approaching a problem. Let's you ask questions and responds clearly and without attitude. Gives you a week to do homework and the homework is clear and easy.

HW on Aleks, quizzes, midterm and final are exactly like the HW. She uploads reviews for all tests, including midterm and final. 18 HWs, 2 tests Midterm and a Final. She records all classes. Lockdown browser with cam required, gives extra credit if you setup the cam as she wants it. Records all lectures. Overall pay attention easy A.

Goes incredibly fast, you have to study a lot for the tests. My complaints is mainly how annoying the tests are ( luckily not too many), and how we have to show all the hw attempts twice. She's alright.

She is a really good teacher, she will put two homework’s on aleka and you have to do each homework two times and get a 80% or more , she explain in class exactly how to do the homework and also tell you what questions are going to be in the exams , she put 4 exams , 3 exams and 1 final.

She is well organized, tough grader, its hard for someone who hasn't been in school for a long time. so her class was a struggle for me. Her work, assignments, lock down browser testing and she watches was really a bit much. she is a bit hard.

I took this class in the Fall semester of 2020. This professor is sweet, caring and gave good compliments on every student in her class. Her lectures are straightforward for me to learn. There are 18 homework assignments in ALEKS, including 2 tests, a midterm, and a final exam in the lockdown browser. I highly prefer for you to pick her if you can.

Professor Wong is actually a great professor she cares for her students to pass. The homework is a bit heavy, for each assignment you have to do two attempts with an 80 percent or higher if not you get minus 10 percent. She wants the homework worked out exactly like she teaches if not you will get an F.
