Dr. Class is very helpful and explains thing well. There is a lot of homework, but the homework is very helpful. She is just an all around nice teacher.

She is a very nice teacher! I have taken Spanish in high school, and took this class as a refresher course. She explained Spanish 1 so clearly that I look forward to her classes. She does give a lot of homework, but it isn't hard. It's just....well, work!

I took her for the summer semester and was afraid I'd fall behind, but the way she teaches her classes makes it so easy to understand that I made it through no problem. She is always very nice and understanding. If you can take her, do it!

She is terrific as a teacher and as a person. She puts forth a lot of effort to make sure everybody understands even the most minute aspects of a topic. She really cares, the class is not difficult and she loves to go off on tangents which can be quite refreshing at times but she always administers the entire lesson for the day. She's great!!!

I really enjoyed this class and professor. She makes Spanish fun, always lots of variety in activities. Interesting assignments. She's very friendly and willing to work with you. Has a good sense of humor and obviously cares about her students. Would take again.

She is really tough on attendance! I left her class with a headache, too! Sooo mant things to memorize. You do have to do a presentation. If ur boring or you read off a paper, she will cut you off , and tell you to have a seat. She makes sure you get it, and things do not get passed her. Yeah, do not forget to remind her of the HW (a lot!).

She's cool. All you have to do is pay attention and participate. Sure... u get a presentation, but it's not even hard. Attendance is important though, u miss one class u miss important info. Class is relatively easy if you do the work, u should b fine. Work may seem complicated but in reality it's not. Just PAY ATTENTION! lol =P

Prof. Class helped me tremendously with Spanish - although I hadn't studied the subject since high school, she helped me get back into the loop after only a few lectures. She gives out TONS of supplemental handouts and material to help you study and learn. She explains things well, and is happy to answer questions if you have them.

Dra. Class was an awesome Spanish professor! I was one of the few native english speakers, and Spanish is difficult for me, but I managed to pass with a B! If I can do it, anyone can do it! She grades pretty easy, but you learn a lot from her. She also tells some great stories. Take her class!

Such a nice lady! the class gets really involved in group discussions, so much in fact that i actually met my boyfriend there!!! :0 She allows you to work with a partner fairly often. she's helpful and patient. The workbook is needed in order to complete homework. one presentation (in english). i recommend taking her!

It truly helped me understand & improve my spelling & grammar. The book is essential, it's expensive but she makes the most out of it. We use the same textbook for part B! Ella es la mejor!

1st things 1st, Dr. Class is absolutely adorable. To non-native speakers: gear-up, Sp. 2 is tough! I am an A student & I had to fight to keep it that way! If you want an A but find it a struggle, be diligent, professional, on-time, & prepared. Make it known how hard you're working, do all HW & XtraCred, & Dr. Class will do all she can to help you.

Dr. Class is one of the best professor I have ever had. She is very positive, well prepared, knowledgeable, and care about the material. Every time we had a quiz, she gave me good feedback. Dr. Class teaches a fun and a very relaxed and immersive language class. I've felt out of the loop in a lot of French classes but she always makes sure everyone is on track. You need to be there for class but there are good options to make up absences. There are multiple homework assignments per lesson but they are easy and take 30 minutes total.

I took this course because I really want to become fluent in Spanish. With that being said Doctor Class is great at explaining the material, but a very tough grader. During the pandemic she was quite generous with accepting late homework (more than any other professors). BE PREPARED FOR A WHOLE LOT OF WRITING. MULTIPLE CHOICE OPTIONS ARE RARE.

Professor Class gave out few projects but gave out many tests. I would highly recommend not to look up the answers while testing. I took Spanish 2 to learn and learned many things about the Spanish culture as well as the language. You should attend every lecture, the textbook doesn't help much, and she gives out tips for the tests as well.

Learning a new language is not easy. Thats why there was so much homework out of class (3x a wk). However, Prof Class really helped ensure each student had access to the required book/ site and one is encouraged to ask questions and participate during class. Learning French with Prof. Class was fun and easier than expected.

I had Dr. Class for French 1 summer school on zoom through El Camino. She was so much fun as a teacher - super funny and caring. She clearly loves languages and tells fun anecdotes about linguistics. It was a lot of online homework. If you don't do the work you won't succeed, but if you do the homework and pay attention you will have a great time!

She is one of the most caring and loveliest professors ever. As long as you get your work done and show up to class you will pass. Also, she is very understanding and helpful so all you have to do is communicate with her! Her classes are very fun too as she is very engaging and a great conversationalist!

Dra. Class is the best professor I've had. She cares about her students and does everything she can to help them succeed. Participation matters. Material is clear with resources to help you succeed. My class was on zoom - 2 mtgs a week and we'd go into breakout rooms to work on activities. As close as possible to a fully in-person experience. 10/10

Had for spring22 is funny, kind, understanding and very interesting. Constant little tests but they are fairly easy. Uses "VHLCentral". It's easy/helpful learning from it, but it was confusing to constantly calculate the grade on VHL, the grade on Canvas, and combing them. At end of class, need to create 1 video presenting a topic in Spanish.

Ms. Class is very caring, understanding, and flexible. She uses a different platform other than canvas, but it's very easy to use and self-explanatory. The material is easy to learn and good for native speakers or anyone trying to learn a new language.

Lots of homework and a strict grader, but her feedback is thorough and helpful. She clearly wants her students to succeed. Course moves at a breakneck pace, I recommend knowing some basic French going into it. If possible, go to her weekly sessions, they help a lot. My only complaint is that the course uses VHL, a website with many errors and bugs.

As this session was online without fixed meeting times the course was very independent. That said, it was not some coursera-type thing, but very serious, structured, and on a fixed schedule - and the professor stays on top of things. The textbook was expensive but it was worth it.

This professor is very clear with her lectures and assignments. She always makes sure there is enough information and resources available to students. She also responds to students promptly. There is a lot of homework, and given that this is a language class, there should be a lot of practice assignments.

Professor Class was strict on her deadlines but still a fair professor. She provides opportunities for extra credit. If you participate and follow deadlines, it's a pretty standard class. She is caring and always in contact if you need her. If I do take Spanish 2, I would like to take her class again.

I took French 1 with Professor Class during the Fall semester, although French is fairly hard to learn she made it as easy as possible. She really cares about her students and wants to everyone to succeed. There is a heavy homework load but it's very doable, don't miss too many assignments because it will hurt your grade.

She is a helpful, attentive professor. She wants her students to understand the language, not just pass the class. I believe I have a strong foundation for learning languages in the future, all thanks to her course. Her feedback is always clear and encouraging. Don't skip homework even when it's tough, just try your best. I would highly recommend.

A great professor! Her lectures are helpful to the online homework that goes with the textbook and it feels like she really wants to help you learn and pass her class. She is very understanding and accommodating when needed and the class was not as bad as she makes it sound, just very time consuming because of the textbook homework.

Definitely a lot of homework but she is very accommodating and her critiques are very helpful. No late work policy so do the daily assignments. Course starts off slow but will definitely pick up over the semester. Textbook is heavily mandatory as it is her main assignments and there is about 15-30 assignments a day (roughly a bit more than an hour)

Dr. Class made her course incredibly organized and transparent. There was definitely a lot of homework since the summer class was so short but it was manageable and there are plenty of resources she provides to help. Dr. Class herself is very joyful and enthusiastic, you can tell she loves to teach.

Like all of my Spanish professors at ECC (I've taken classes from four), Profesora Class is passionate about her subject and committed to student success. I took her Spanish 1 class, and she was great about really walking us through the basics of the language. Perfect springboard to Spanish 2 and beyond.

Prof. Class definitely gives plenty of homework, especially during summer semesters since there is less time to cover all the units. Joining her Zoom lessons could definitely help you if you are lost. She is also really good at giving you feedback and helping you improve. Love her, might be taking French 2 next Summer!

The undeniable fact is that a lot of homework is waiting for you. However, her educational philosophy, as reflected in the syllabus, is clear. Language requires a lot of practice to improve, and only those students who are willing to invest that effort can achieve it. It's not an easy path, but by the end of the course, you will gain something.

I'm a dual enrollment student and had this professor for French 1. Overall, she was a very good professor and it was a great class. I would recommend this professor for older high schoolers looking to dual enroll, though younger high schoolers might find it a bit difficult if they don't take any AP/honors classes.

I highly recommend taking the hybrid course because going to the in person lectures is the best way to practice what you've learned throughout the week. Professor Class really cares about her students. Her lectures are fun because she encourages her students to practice and interact with each other every week. Just study and you'll do great!

Best spanish teacher! I learned so much in this and was always happy to be there. Goes out of her way to help and cares for her students. There is a lot of homework, but it becomes manageable after a while. The lesson tests are easy if you study and attend class reguarly.

Dr. Class is a very good professor and makes an effort to make her class as accessible as possible. I personally took her online Spanish 1 course which found to be a semi easy. She does use Vista, an online program you have to pay for which depending on your situation can be a pro or a con. However, she is nice and very clear on instructions.

As someone who learns English as a second language, her class was one of the hardest class for me but I learned a lot from her Spanish class.

I took this class online, but after meeting with Dr. Class for the first & only time on the Zoom final, she seemed very sweet and remembered personal details about me that I shared in discussions, showing her care and engagement. Dr Class is hard on deadlines, and updates students weekly.

Personally, I think that language is better learned in person. But, if you're going to take an online class for language I'd recommend Professor Class. I would most definetly take her online class again! She had weekly optional Zoom meetings where students could ask questions and go over the homework. While there's a lot of homework, almost all of them have multiple attempts. Just be careful of discussion posts on Canvas, don't rely just on your Canvas Calendar! She is a great professor!

I loved this professor. Yes, it is true that in order to get a good grade or at least a passing grade you have to put in the effort. But if you're genuinely taking this class because you want to learn French the effort comes naturally. I encourage everyone to take her class if you have the option.

This class requires a substantial amount of time for homework and tests. It's important to stay organized in order to do well. The professor is very supportive and gives clear instructions ahead of time for assignments. The textbook is user-friendly and has plenty of examples for practice and success. I like Madame Class as a teacher. She was straightforward and flexible with my schedule. Since I play sports she knows I'm busy and makes it easy for me by not making the meetings mandatory.

One of the most easiest classes you can take. Professor Class is one of the most genuine people I know and has accessible office hours if you ever need anything. Gotta be aware that most of the work she assigns is on VHL and a few things are on Canvas. Recommend taking this class.

Ask for help if and when you need it, as this class is a challenge for beginners. I had an easier time since I've spoken Spanish already, homework can take a couple hours. Dr. Class was a great professor! Had to buy an online textbook; it was a lot of work, but it was worth it. The assignments kept me accountable and helped me retain the material. This is just the nature of the beast of languages. It requires work. I took another language course at El Co without a lot of work, and I feel like I did not retain much.

Prof. Class is funny, open-minded, and a good professor. The content you focus on is mainly Spanish (Spanish) grammar. With that said, vocabulary isn't neglected, but sometimes you'll find uncovered vocabulary on the test/assignments. If you're on time, participate in all classes, use the textbook, and notify her of any emergencies, you'll pass.

Professor Class runs a rigorous online French 1 course, but with hard work it pays off. The assignments are frequent, but she provides great feedback to improve. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for studying and practice - I'd definitely take this class again.
