Miss Frost was a great teacher and i hope to take her for calculus too. She does a great job explaining everything, does study guides, and as long as you do the hw you will survive. She is hot too!! :)She is one of the most down to earth teachers i have ever had.

She is a very good teacher. She can teach and makes class fun. She's young and understands college life so she is very easy going. She is very clear about what she is teaching and willing to help anybody. Best math professor at SCC. Highly recommended if you want to learn something. *She also lets her class out early like 10% of the time.

She is a great teacher. She likes to challenge her students, but she gives plenty of extra credit. I will definately take her for calculus too. Her lessons plan is very structured and she makes it easy to take notes. I had a great time in her class.

She explains things very well though sometimes she could have done it a little bit better. She does 'refresher' quizes at the start of most classes so you really shouldn't miss a class. A quiz at the end of most weeks (sometimes take home quizes). Exams are very fair. A lot of the problems will usually come from past quizes/homework.

Great teacher. If you show up every class period, you'll do fine. I dont' have many problems with math, but the people in the class who did were always doing way better than they thought. She's willing to talk to you like a person, also. Cool.

Alicia is seriously a GREAT math professor. She's really young, so she has a lot of compassion for struggling math students. You take tons of notes, but I promise they become VERY helpful later. Alicia is consistent and expects hard work, but she is always willing to help a student. She quizzes each week, but most of those questions appear later!

Alicia is definitely a hard grader so make sure you study your stuff and get them right. She doesn't give out extra credit or anything so every point you make counts a lot in the end, so don't risk losing any!

This class is very hard. You shouldnt miss a day or you will most likely be lost. She is a good teacher and gives helpful notes. She gives quizzes every other class meeting. She grades her exams very hard. But over all its an okay class

Great teacher, explains why things are the way they are instead of memorization, she hates memorization, I memorized the unit circle before, but she made it easy in understanding it. Some test she kills you on though, while some tests she goes easy on you, really great teacher, really nice too, not that bad looking either...if you get bored

Math 180 is hard, but Frost is easy. She doesn't collect homework which is cool, but weird considering how PICKY she is. Quizzes are once a week, but your allowed to use your H.W. Testing isn't bad, but beware of her grading she is a little PICKY, maybe more than a little. Ok She is PICKY there I said it, PICKY, PICKY, PICKY. -Love Jumpsuit

This teacher is hard as hell. she's nice and does a good job explaining the lessons, but grading is very harsh. She's a great teacher for those who are really good at math, if you struggle at math, you most likely will not pass her class.

Ms. Frost is an incredible professr.Wht some dont realze is tht the material is difficult and dont apply themselves. I cannot describe how TOUGH she is. The class started out with 30 people and finished with probably 13. I also heard her class has an EXTREMELY low pass rate. Smart teacher but incrediby HARD.

she is good at teaching the subject, but i agree she's very tough. i dropped because i couldn't handle it. my friend who was in the same class told me out of the 25 people who finished the class, about 12 got D's, 8 got F's, a few C's, and about ONE B. thats how tough she is. AVOID if you are bad at math or else you will absolutely drown.

Ms. Frost teaches at a level that is way too advanced for people who aren't bright at math. So if you are going to take a class with her, make sure you already have a very clear grasp of the material. Anyone who says she is easy is straight up lying. In a class of 35, it is not uncommon for only 4-5 people to pass the class.

Great lectures, doesn't collect HW, but if you did it she'll let u use ur hw on the weekly quizes, quizes are hw problems you alredy did so it helps to do the hw, key is to do the hw and take the notes... do that and you'll pass the test and pass the class. WAY better than prof nance. She's mean if you get on her bad side, but she teaches well. The only people who drop are the ones who don't do the homework. Final is EASIER than the rest of her tests. Take her class if it's necessary but just know it's not an easy A (but she's better than the other profs who teach the same subject).

VERY hard test grader, and will mark you down for ridiculous things, you will get a better grade if you take another teacher. Taking her puts you at an unfair disadvantage when other teachers allow notes on tests, give points for Homework, and don't go out of their way to mark you down on tests. i had her for the 4 week summer course. she gives way too much HW 4hrs a night. taught the material well. tests were easy. the final was easier. she gives classwork which didnt allow you to take advantage of the breaks.

4 week summer class... too much hw to complete each week... tests weren't hard, but once you fell behind, it was useless to catch up. Do all the HW and you can fail 3 tests and still pass... But outside help was non-existent. Not that helpful.

She gives homework every night and a quiz every week. The hw is optional and you get to use it on the quiz which helps a lot. After a bunch of people drop she lets you do group quizes which helps boost your grade a lot too. Sadly your grade mostly relies on tests which are always extremely difficult. Study your notes and hw a lot for a good grade.

I did it online and thought her class was great (for being math). She was very helpful and emailed back very quickly. Took about 2 weeks to grade the midterms but other than that she was really nice and helpful.

This is a hard class!! You must study in order to pass. A formula sheet is provided and hw can be used for quizzes. She drops lowest quiz score. She is an awesome instructor. Goes into detail and helps you if you have trouble with something.

She's the first math professor that I've ever had that seems to care about each and every student individually. She encouraged me via email, helped me with my anxieties, and made tk easy to pass the class. Take her if you are bad at math or have math anxiety. She makes online classes awesome and prepares you for the final very well.

Mrs.Frost is awesome! I am horrible at math and dropped out of 2 previous math 60 courses before i fell into her class and finally discovered someone who's teaching abilities are truly a gift. She gives a lot of homework but as long as you stay on top of the work and know all arrhythmia you'll be fine. Understanding is her focal point for tests.

Professor Frost is unlike most Algebra teachers in that she is not just showing up for herself, she is showing up for you. I took Beginning Algebra x's before passing, and took Intermediate twice before passing. It's obvious Algebra isn't something that comes easily to me. If you are this person, Prof. Frost is the right one for you!

I highly recommend Professor Frost. I took both 60 & 80 classes online and it is definitely user friendly and she was always available by email if you needed help. Lectures were short 5 minute videos and tests were not too difficult.

If you have struggled with algebra in the past, you will love this professor and the My Open Math. com set up they have. It breaks everything down. It's not an easy A, but if you give it the time it deserves, you will pass.

This is the second time I took Math060 so I was nervous to try it online. Honestly, it was the best academic decision I made. Just be sure you keep up with the class schedule so you're not cramming every assignment the day it's due and show up to the mid-term and final.

Great teacher. She does give a lot of homework, but completing it all just means that you'll understand the concepts better. I thought the summer Math 80 class was great. It was a lot of work, but I ended up with a good grade. I think that the exams weren't that bad either. Overall, great teacher. Just get ready to put in a lot of work and time.

The class was very easy! I was hesitant to take math online, but it was a great decision. Be prepared to spend 2-3 hours a day to complete the OHM modules. While she does not grade the homework and the practices tests for each module, I strongly recommend that you still do them, as they will help you a lot.

Professor Frost is a really helpful teacher. She thoroughly goes through the notes and what you need to know and you can ask her as many questions as you like. The only homework is the online homework, and as long as you keep up with it, you'll be okay. She'll also go over the homework if you have any questions.

She let us use 8x11 paper (front& back) cheat sheet on exams. Make sure you get the notes because the exam and quizzes are literally like the practice problems from the notes. The homework is much easier, but helps you understand how to do the concepts easier. She also goes over the homework in class! OH and she gives take home quizzes sometimes!

No math class is going to be an easy A, but Professor Frost made it easily accessible for me to receive one. She genuinely cares about her students and gives all the resources to receive a good grade. Not to mention, shes the head of the math success center so she knows what she's doing. She is my favorite! Professor Frost was amazing, had her online course during the unexpected quarantine. She was one of the professors who truly cared about her students and really helped me out. Awesome professor, great lectures and many real world applications included. I recommend four week intersession course IF you are confident stepping into college algebra. If you have not had a math class in a long time or are certain you will need extra help- 16 weeks is best. Math CE100 is available during intersession, but limited in hours.

I love professor Frost! Once you get the hang of MyOpenMath, the setup is actually really nice. She provides online youtube lectures that she creates herself and has forums you can go to if you are struggling with problems. She also is fast at responding to messages on M.O.M. as well as email. If you struggle with math I recommend her class!

I LOVED Alicia Frost, she's easily one of the best teachers I've ever had. Very compassionate and understanding when it comes to problems with the homework, always happy to answer questions, has easy-to-understand lectures and assignments, and is quick with grading. Alicia Frost uses the MyOpenMath, it is an application that she uses at first a bit complicated, but once you understand it, it is easy to use. I recommend you buy the calculator that will help you throughout the class. This will cost you $ 120 T-84; this will make the course easier is the only way to solve problems accurately. lot of homework.

I took her online 8-week course this fall and she was very understanding. She wanted the best for her students and if you really show how hard you are working, she may be more flexible with you. Overall, a very helpful, understanding, and thorough professor.

If you do the homework, which is worth a ton of your grade, and do decent on the quizzes, there's no way you won't pass the class. DO take this class if you're already familiar with myopenmath! Professor Frost was great! She makes herself available for assistance/questions - she responds to emails promptly. She uses MyOpenMath, it's user friendly and easy to navigate around in. There are several homework per section, so plan on spending time - which will only benefit you on projects, quizzes and exams.

This class was a hybrid online class. Lots of homework, but Dr. Frost was more than available to help out. I always felt prepared for all quizzes and tests. I really enjoyed the experience and feel ready to utilize what I have learned in future classes. I 100% recommend taking this class.

I really enjoyed this class. It was tricky at times and using the math website and online calculator is an adjustment, but Professor Frost was willing to answer any questions. She was even willing to zoom with me at the beginning of the year to help me with some of my questions. This class has no tests and is project based.

Super chill stats course. There are no tests, just projects. Many opportunities to remediate and get points back. Must be willing to stay on track and finish assignments by deadlines. Gives really good feedback, lectures are videos with guided notes. Uses Rguroo for projects/hw, little bit tricky but there are videos for help.
