English 2 - She's highly knowledgeable and enjoys her subject matter. Tough grader but gives you everything you need to turn in a good essay. Not the greatest at letting you know your grade so you will have to take the time to ask her. Do not wait until the end to turn in late work. She makes corny jokes and loves llamas.

Professor Garcia will give you assignments that you'll have to work really hard on. But each assignment will help you become a better writer, and a better person. If I could, I would take another class with her!! I can't remember a single class where I didn't laugh! Take her class! You won't regret it! Love this professor SO much!

Professor AK as she likes to be called loves what she does. She grades hard. be prepared to write and read a lot. I loved her class because I love a good challenge! Quizzes every week online , discussions, essays, short activities and just some of the many things that are done in her class. Late assignments she deducts 15 points!

She is a great professor, she expects you to learn and apply your learning. Need to go to class or not u will be lost. She is a thought grader, gives many works 2-3 essays. Final was a project presentation. The quizzes are the ones in the chapters. Very funny and great lectures.

I had Professor AK for ENC 1101. I struggled at first, but we had a one-on-one meeting and I was able to turn things around. She met with me a lot throughout the semester to help me improve my papers. I had to work hard but I'm a much better writer now. I learned a lot!

I took a MDC Live class with Professor AK. Participation & attendance count, but the participation was pretty easy, just stuff we did in class & then turned in. We had 3 essays but one was a revision so it it wasn't from scratch. She grades hard but the revision helped my grade & she gives a lot of feedback. Not sure why she's getting hate?

This is the BEEEEESSSSTTTT professor I have ever had in my life. I took ENC1101 with her and it was extremely difficult for me due to language barrier. However, this lady is passionate about her job, she lives her students, she treats everyone the same regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or whatever. I would highly recommend her!!!!

I wasn't confident with my writing but professor AK told me at the end of the semester that I had gotten better at it. I had to put in a lot of work but it paid off in the end. Now I actually feel good about my writing.

She's good and you need to do your work but she's fair. She tells you what you need to do. I think that's awesome because I wasn't a good writer and not very confident but she cared a lot and helped me understand what I needed to do. The class was better than expected. I think AK Garcia was great because she covered a lot of material. It's pretty intense but I feel my writing skills got so much better. She definitely expects you to work, but it's college. It definitely is way more work than I expected, but it wasn't crazy. It was actually interesting. I wish we had more input in the topics but I like that there were a lot of different types of projects. She could be a little more approachable, which might help explain some of the reviews.

I took the class and thought it met my expectations. She's clear about what she expects, and although it's tough, she was very clear. I learned a lot. I feel more confident. For those who complained about "formatting", that is part of the class! She explains it all, though, so it's different but reasonable.

BEFORE I START, her class is SOO fun, she's a great individual. Anyways, she is a very and I mean VERY tough grader, on the other hand, she gives VERY good feedback. If you have discussions in her class make sure to participate you can take notes instead but that won't do you much good. The quizzes from the online book can bump up your grade.

I took CRW 2001 with her. Not sure why she has a 3.5 rating atm. Yes, she gives a lot of assignments, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to fail her class if you try and read her grading criteria. When I say impossible, I mean impossible. I just finished her class with a 99% grade. College isn't meant to be easy guys. She's super sweet and feedback is amazing!

AK is very nice and friendly but tough on grades. she leaves a lot of homework and it can be hard to keep up. For ENC 1101 we had to prepare, participate, and reflect on discussions and she graded us on that, as well as on essays. it got easier at the end of the semester though.
