Dr. Paterno really is not that bad of a professor. I never really took chemistry in high school so absolutely all the material was new to me and I managed to get a B without ever studying for tests more than 3 days in advance. If you do all the ALEKS assignments and prepare for quizzes, there is no way you won't get at least a C.

Dr. Paterno does not care about what grade you get. She told us it was our fault that everyone failed an exam. She offered an opportunity to get one point out of the three points, but that was not enough to save my grade. There is no partial credit and she tells you to go to your TA if you have any problems, she can't bother to deal with them.

Of all the professors and teachers I've EVER had in my 16 years of academia, Paterno comes as no surprise at the rock BOTTOM of the list. Flipped lecture learning style, I might as well have paid my tuition for this year to a tutor as I learned genuinely nothing. The tests make the SAT look like a children's book. Dr. Paterno has a reversed style of lecture where you NEED to watch the lecture videos before lecture and during lecture you barely go over the content and go straight into practice problems.
