Gave 4 easy 50 pt tests, no mid term, lectures by the book, gives easy hw and extra credit. There were 3 papers, but easy MLA format and only 3 pages. Her class was easy, even at 8 AM and she gave a study guide for every test.

Great teacher. She is a very fair grader. She is strict on attendence so if you are one of those persons that cant make everyday, this is not the one for you. There are about 6 assignments but all of them are super easy. 3 tests and allows you to have one page of notes, no final, she really cool and is willing to help you at all times.

Alina is a really nice teacher. The points were easy, but you can't be lazy. Make sure to show up, attendance is important in her class. She makes it a very comfortable learning environment. I would recommend her for sure!

I've taken Alina for ECE 300 & 430. I enjoyed her class! She is nice. Her class is not easy but, it's not too hard either. Do the study guides (she lets you use them on the tests)Get help on the running and anecdotal records if you do not understand them. Do a good job on all the essay assignments(use WAC) and you will pass the class. Good Luck!!!1

I took Alina for ECE 300 and 430 and I like her she is nice. She expects you to do University level work. She gives you a study guide, do it and she lets you use it on your tests. The running & anecdotal record are hard so get help and make sure your essay are error free use WAC for that. She don't like late people and she will drop you for it.

Prof. Cervantes is wonderful. If you come to every class and take notes in the lectures and complete your assignments on time you will get an A. She is a Prof. who is friendly, and you can learn a lot from her. Her lectures are clear consise, and there are no surprises on the tests. She will stay after to talk to you, she returns your phone calls.

Alina is one of the best, if not the best, teachers I've ever had. She's incredibly kind, compassionate, and only wants her students to succeed. She is also a great speaker so class is never boring. I've had her for 3 classes and I wish I could take her again. She is so easy to talk to and can be pretty funny. Take her.

Alina is not only one of the best teachers I have ever had, but she has inspired me, personally. Follow the directions, read your text, and complete the assignments and there is no reason to not do well in her class. I am specifically waiting on a taking ECE432 until I can take it with her. Taking this class was overall okay. Make sure you follow directions on assignments and for the most part the work is very manageable. She is a great ECE teacher and you can learn a lot from her lectures because she speaks with clarity and professionalism.

I used the old edition of the book and found the ch. online that was needed from the new book for the one paper that you need it for. Show up to class and do the work and you will get a A. No tests. 4 papers. 1 presentation.

Alina is probably my favorite teacher at AR. She really knows what she is talking about and has experience and I just love her views on life and being a teacher. This class is an easy A but you actually learn SO much about how to include diversity in your classroom.

Cervantes is a delightful educator. She is passionate about what she does and for children as well. The class is easy and requires 3 sets of 2 chapter reflections and 2 presentations. That's it. Do the work and you have an A. DO NOT BUY THE "CREATIVE RESOURCES..." BOOK unless you plan on utilizing it in your own classroom. You will only use 1 page.

She is clear & easy to understand. The book use is low. She explains each chapter so well that reading is not really needed to pass the class, rather for your own deeper knowledge. She shared amazing stories relating to the course. The only thing I would change is the class length. It's long. The writing assignments can be lengthy, but are easy.

Class is pretty easy. It gets REALLY boring during class. It took a lot to make myself go. I had to force myself to attend. The reflection questions were very hard to understand. (in the book) It made no sense to me. But she is a very helpful professor. I like her as a professor just hated the book! She is a very nice teacher though.

The professor was friendly and knowledgeable about her subject (early childhood education). However, she didn't teach very much. I didn't learn very much. Half of the class periods were devoted to group projects and presentations. If you don't like class participation/group work, don't take this class. Easy class though.

This teacher is fantastic. She really cares about what she is talking about and makes the class very interesting. The class has no tests, it is all assigment/homework based. The assignments are fairly easy as long as you actually put in a little effort and turn it in on time. She does offer a few extra credit assignments.

The most enlightening class I've taken at ARC. Instead of feeling like you're just getting credit for a course, you'll walk away feeling like you truly learned something that you can apply to real life (for currentfuture teachers and for currentfuture parents). Great class, great prof. Have to write 5 essays & a group project. That's it. No final, no tests. Not only very easy but you can take something from the class that you can actually apply to your life. She is very sweet and has such a happy attitude coming to class. &She's a great singer! Professor Alina teaches wonderfully. She taught her students the different in multicultural and I think you will enjoy listening to her lectures. It would be nice to take her again. The best Teacher

I took this class last spring Tues and Thurs mornings before work and loved it! Fantastic professor, great class, she is positive, real, great attitude and fun so she makes learning really fun! She shows great videos and we did creative, fun, interesting projects. I give her a 10 out of 10!

I took this class Fall 2015, on Tuesdays from 12:30-3:30. She has the ability to make a three hour class so enjoyable. She's passionate about the material and there isn't a lot of work, but what she does assign, matters. It's very group oriented and open. I LOVED her class.

Professor Cervantes is one of the best professor's at ARC. She lectures in a way that always involves the class so your not just sitting and listening to the teacher talk for over an hour. Professor Cervantes's lecture was very clear and I learned most of the lesson in the class rather than from studying. She used some examples from her life and her family during the lecture, and it make the subject more understandable for me. Professor Cervantes assigned homework, but she gave us enough time and explained exactly what we had to do.

Mrs. Cervantes is an amazing teacher, very knowledgeable. I took her for ECE 300 and 314. She is very passionate about her job and her lectures are always very interesting. We had several essay type homework assignments like 5ish but no tests! Your grade is based on your attendance, reading/homework assignments/reflections, and a big group project.

BEST TEACHER EVER!!! if you need to take ECE 300 or ECE 314 she is the best teacher. She is understanding, yes there are like 3 to 4 writing assignments and one project. But, if you show up to class and do all the assignment you will have an A. If you have emergency or just cant make it to class 6 absences are allowed.

Had all ECE classes. She is the easiest & the most passionate in what she teaches in the ECE department at ARC. ECE 314 Grading: 4 chapter reflections for 160pts (40pts each), 1 group Presentation for 50pts, 1 Media Analysis for 40pts, 1 Article review for 50pts. She provides an anonymous student 100%sample for assignments so you cant screw it up.

Cervantes is SO passionate about what she teaches, she is truly an advocate for education, and she really does do what she preaches. Workload was pretty tame, it was mostly weekly discussions but be mindful of the fact due dates are in the late afternoon, not the typical 11:59pm deadline. HYBRID CLASS.

She's great, entertaining, and fun. Only complaint is if you need anything after 5p on Thursday-monday morning she is not available but will still have things due on Sunday. also sometimes has things due at 5p which a little annoying when you're a working student. All the assignments are easy, literally just self-reflections and observations.
