I had taken MAT1033 during the spring term, I got a D. So with alot of hesitation i took MAT1033 during summer B and from the get go i saw the difference she was awesome !! Professor Coronel is one of the best math teachers i've had in my whole life! she is really clear in her explanations and gives extra credit because the material can be difficult. You never use the textbook either so that saves you money. I definitely recommend her!

This professor is awesome! The work is crystal clear, no textbook (but you must buy online mathzone access for homework) and she dismissed every class early. She isn't much help thru email, but she is very helpful in class and will go over material after class. Your grade is STRICTLY based on homework and tests. No curving/weighted grades

The professor responds to emails quickly, all work is done online so you get your grades right away. The only thing is that there are no extra credit assignments. You have 4 quizzes, midterm, final, and homework through an online portal. If you are not an independent learner this may not be for you! Otherwise I loved the class.

She is an amazing professor. One of the most organized and caring professors out there. Instead of giving you verbal warnings she will simply ask you through email if everything's ok, what you should do to keep yourself up to date. At first you will be intimated but that will all change once you get comfortable in the classroom environment

This is in a way a self learning class but once you get familiarized with the program you will see how detailed and how many options you have that explain the problem so well that you will not even need the professors help. She is lenient with attendance and tardiness. Just don't push her buttons and stay up to date with your work.

This class was very fair, she's an awesome teacher but you have to put in work and private time with the ALEKS program. I love the program because you actually learn, but the test in class can get tricky so really tackle it and pay attention to what you're doing. Even though this class messed up my 4.0 I still enjoyed it.

As long as you do the homework as she says to, you can pass the quizzes. Make sure to show up for lectures and pay attention for attendance checks during lectures. I took her for summer mini term and got an A. This is the first professor that I was able to understand and be able to learn math with. Attendance matters so make sure to be on time for lectures. My mistake was not taking her for 1106 which I will now come this semester. Midterm and final are proctored and are directly from the homework completed

She explains slowly & answers ur questions w/ respect, will explain a problem part by part if you email her if you get confused, Fridays are Q&A days. 2-3 HW and 1 quiz at the end of the week but the HWs are short & is the exact same on the quiz. Though it is heavy on testing and homework, you can take the homework multiple times as needed to understand and get a 100% and for the testing her lectures are easy to follow and will do multiple questions and even create her own for you until you understand. She also dedicated Fridays to reviews which I loved and was not a mandatory attendance.

Good professor! She is very clear when lecturing and has weekly Q and A sessions in case anyone needs help. She always explains everything several times and uses examples while lecturing to ensure everyone is prepared for the weekly quiz. There is no final. I had her for both MGF 1107 and MGF 1106 and got an A in both.

Theres many tests and quizzes due a week, but it is easy to catch up, especially since she records every class and is willing to work with you through email if there is an emergency. her class is very organized, the only thing that gets complicated is the actual math as you go along. If I had to, I would take her class again over any other teacher.

Professor Coronel is clear and thorough with the information, the homework's are helpful towards the quiz and honestly, the information she is teaching is actual useful information. If you are considering taking her class, I would highly recommend it.

I have always had a hard time with math. I even dropped out of college for a while because I was failing my math classes. When I decided to come back I was worried that I was going to keep failing until I had professor Coronel as my teacher. She is the best math teacher I have ever had in my life. After failing my MGF1107 course 2 semesters ago, I thought I would never understand math until I had Professor Coronel. She is very educated in math, she ensures to explain to students that its important to ask questions, or if anyone is lost to advise her. Her explanation on math is practical and easy to understand.

Professor Coronel is the best math teacher I have ever had. Coming from someone who has always been terrible at math, her class was extremely easy. She gives great lectures and makes sure her students understand the material. 6 easy quizzes based on the homework assignments. If you show up and do your homework, you're going to pass with an A!

This class was fully online, so no zoom meetings. Professor herself had a orderly schedule, told us on a weekly basis what we needed to do, answered quickly, and overall was very helpful. The class itself goes over many topics very quickly, so be prepared because it's a lot. Consists of ALEK hw, 7 quizzes, and midterm and final with notes allowed

The class precisely on time and immediately hands out questions. If you don't respond, you lose points. She doesn't provide personal feedback, focusing instead on assigning a large amount of homework. Unfortunately, the teaching lacks clarity, making it difficult to grasp the material. All the quizzes are with honorlock, she looks at one by one.
