Sometimes, she is very rude. But, she will help you.Expects you to do your homework.Test and quiz based on homework always. Key to passing her class is to do all the homework and get the solution to each problem before test. Don't be late for class ever!
I made a B but as the song goes, "My God what have i done?" Best way to prepair is to ask questions about the hardest problems.
She's Russian, so rude whether intentional or not. Didn't much like her, so I stopped going to class, but still made like a 106% by the end. Calc 3 is easy if you're half smart and willing to learn it.

It gets easier to understand her as time goes by. She really knows her subject thoroughly and can teach it well. All in all, a pretty good professor. I think she's mainly misunderstood for being mean, when she's really just strict (no nonsense)

Overall she was a good teacher. Did seem to get frustrated if questions are asked, but she knows her stuff. Just dont come in late or she will ask you to leave. The tests are stright from the homework.

Don't listen to all the complaining... Very good teacher. Yes, she is no nonsense and can seem mean, but she is an effective teacher. Allows notes on exams, and final is open. Definitely Reccomended! :)

Well, the good news is that if you do the absolute minimum study-wise and homework-wise, you'll probably get a C at worst. But she made class suck.
Contrary to the rumor, she is NOT THAT BAD. I actually enjoyed taking this class from her, and thinks that she is a great teacher. She is very professional, alway well prepared and always happy to help. If you can get to class on time, you should not have a problem with her!

I made an A in her class, but was still disapointed with how much we did not finish on the sylabus. The entire section regarding triple integrals was skipped. Also, she was intolerant to questions being asked. Instead of answering, she will first discuss why you should not be asking.
Weird in a funny way. Gets mad when you ask questions and furious when you are late to class. But overall whe is a great math teacher.
Do not be fooled by her reputation. She only picks on the loosers that walk in 15 minutes late every time. She is very helpfull, fair and a very good teacher

One of the best professors I've had, which is why I've taken three classes with her. She does frown upon lateness and slackers. However, she explains math very well once you get used to the accent. She wants you to know everything, and obviously enjoys math. It's better when they love what they do.

I will be so thankful if i make a decent grade in this class. She is an okay teacher, but a very hard grader. Do the webwork--it will save your grade. Sometimes the tests are totally different than what you learn in class. She can be sarcastic at times too, just don't pay attention to this.
She is by far one of the best math teachers this school has. Especially considering how bad the math department is. I don't know why anyone would complain about her. Probably just got lazy and didn't feel like doing any work and then they blame her for it. If you do the HW you will do great.
She is a very crazy teacher. Gets angry very easily than rushes through examples. I went to tutoring and still did the homework and still did horrible in the class. Her teaching skill are horrible and her arrogance relentless. A word of caution to those how have to take her
This was the only class outside of my major that I got a C in. This lady is crazy. She should spend less time scowling and brooding and spend more time trying to teach, because calculus 3 is certainly not a class that is going to teach itself.
Great Professor! Very smart and very helpful. Shows examples throughout class and simplistically explains examples and new concepts. I would definitely recomment this professor.

Gives you practice exams before the test, but you might as well practice playing video games than her prac-exams. tests were random homework problems once you learn that its easy, so COPY HW PROBS YOUR CHEAT SHEET FOR TESTS

This teacher is hard to understand. She is one of the most impatient teacher I have been involved with. A lot of money and editional work are required for this class, which I don't mine. But make sure you know what you are doing before you signing up for this class. You would be wasting your time if you sign up for this professor and don't want to put an effort in it. Best of Luck.

Knows her stuff but that doesn't mean you'll even learn it from her. Hard to understand because of Eastern European accent. Don't speak in class or risk getting your head bit off. Also risk getting your head bit off if you never answer her questions. I guess you're screwed either way. Don't take unless as a last resort.
Yells at you for answering problems and not answering problems. Skips alot of steps when doing problems. Hard to understand with an eastern european accent. Class is very boring. I didn't think the class was hard but I had already taken it in high school. If your decent with math and work hard this should be a B.

Only picks on the idiots that come in late to her class. Her accent is terribly hard to understand sometimes. She is very smart and does make mistakes, but always picks on herself to doing so. Don't talk in class and make sure that you ask questions. Tests come from homework and she gives you a practice exam that is similar to the tests.
Hard to understand her at first (because of her Russian accent) but you get used to it. You have to work hard for your grade but she's fair. I had 4 tests, a cumulative exam, no quizzes, didn't have to turn in any homework (though I recommend doing it), and she drops the lowest test grade. Overall she was a good teacher in my opinion.
Overall she's a friendly and fair professor. She's willing to help and schedule appointments outside of her office hours. She gives out review sheets for the tests, which are very useful and close to what the actual tests are. Final exam was open notes which was great. Webwork is a real pain, and she's strict about attendance and not being late

I was worried by the bad reviews but stayed in the class and did fine, all tests were open note and almost the same as the homework given. The ones complaining and doing badly were the only ones that were not doing any of the homework. If you cant pass this class its your own fault.
Very nice lady. maybe not clear sometimes but her not being a native english speaker did not bother me a bit in her class... very easy tests very much like reviews and homework is helpfull for people who put bad ratings, try to do all the work required for clas first and than complain. drops one test. 10% extra credit. very easy.

she wasnt as bad as i was expecting from all these negative reviews. she explains the material well and give plenty of examples. i think people go in expecting calculus 3 to be easy or something, you do actually have to work out some examples on your own in order to understand fully. her russian accent is not that hard to understand.
You gotta do the homework if you want to do on well on the tests. the review sheet isn't like the test at all. Her accent isn't that bad. Definitly take good notes. She drops the lowest test grade & she is willing to help you and answer questions as long as she sees that you're trying. So all and all she's not too bad

She is rude and sometimes insulting towards her students. The web homework is time consuming and usually unrelated to the tests. She covers material very quickly and does not like to repeat ideas. Her accent can be difficult to understand. In general, she makes very little effort to accommodate her students. Not recommended.

This woman has a serious anger management issue. She is not very clear in class and her tests are cruel and unusual. She is not a fair grader - it is all or nothing credit. Her tests are nothing like the old ones and you will never anticipate what is coming. AVOID THIS WOMAN AT ALL COSTS! NOT FAIR AND A HORRIBLE TEACHER!
She drops the lowest test score out of three midterm tests and lets you use a self made equation sheet. Just make sure you study.

If you get on her bad side, drop the class right away. Don't mess with her; SERIOUSLY! She holds students to a higher standard, which means that you'd better know your material. She's a tough exam grader, but will drop your worst grade. That being said, if you survive the class, you earned it.

Attendance is mandatory, she drops the lowest test grade, not much homework due (probably 6 hw's total), if you ask her to explain ask her after class. Overall she can be hard but she will help you if you need it. I wouldn't take her again.
If you have another option, you might want to go with that. Diff Eqs is a tough class and she doesn't make it easier. She has a unique teaching style - and not necessarily in a good way. Webwork is hard, homework is graded, attendance is mandatory/graded, and the tests are ROUGH. Avoid if possible, unless you enjoy a challenge.
As a teacher, she is difficult. She has a tendency to assume the students are on a mental level far below her own and frequently insults people who ask questions she deems unnecessary. Extremely unfair grading. I had her for Differential Equations and Calculus 4 simultaneously because hers' were the ONLY classes with open spaces... I wonder why...
Absolute WORST teacher I have ever had. She is very mean and is not helpful at all. If she doesn't like you, you will not do good on tests. When I say not good, Im talking 20s. Partial credit is impossible to get out of her on exams. If you ask a question she will yell at you. If you come in late she stops the class to glare at you.

I did my homework, study for the test. The test are ramdom from the book and the notes in class. She expects you to be as intelligent as her, will get mad if you ask questions. Not helpful if she don't like you(goes for half the class). Grading bad. Teaching, bad. Prejudice, yes. If you think your smart and have plenty of time, take her. AVOID!
Positive: Tests are open note. Final exam is open book. Negative: She's mean. She hates when students ask questions. I asked a question in class once and she flat out told me it was a terrible question and accused me of not doing my homework. Another time I asked a question, she said it was good, worked the whole problem, then said it was bad.
Tests were far more difficult than they should have been. First test avg was a 61. Gives a bonus problem on most exams, but partial credit is almost impossible. Evil, vile, angry old woman. Hates questions but yells at class for not asking them. Not my worst professor, but i'd definitely try to take someone else if at all possible
A lot of people say she is evil and mean, I disagree. She just has a low tolerance for nonsense. Very intelligent. Will work with you during office hours. She lets you know you are at a university, grow-up and study hard. If you are a strong student, I recommend her DiffEq course. My final average was a 100+. If you are a slacker, stay away.
Show up for class on time and pay attention. She will let you know that you should have learned some things earlier, however she will review them with you. She is fast, and it is sometimes hard to keep up in class, but if you tell her, she will slow down. She is helpful during office hours. No partial credit, but gives extra credit on tests.

Not really as hard as she seems, at least when it comes down to the tests. Allowed to bring in a page of notes, to solve rather generic, simple problems. Class can be pretty bad and unhelpful, at some points it's funny how much she looks down upon the students. If you know calculus decently well, this class will go fine, otherwise, good luck.
She is really nice if you go to her office hours, but in class she is very condecending. She is also very hard to understand and speaks extremely quiet. Do not take this professor! I still passed, but only because she was sick half the semester and we had a different professor for that time.

This professor has to be the worst ive taken. She makes students feel stupid for asking questions, says everything is easy and students should know everything she knows (she has a Ph.D in Math) if you don't remember EVERYTHING from calc 1-3 she thinks your inferior, but will go over it again after humiliating you. DONT TAKE HER.
Challenging class but she grades fairly. You even get to bring one "cheat sheet" into every test with ANYTHING you want on it. It is true that she is a little "harsher" than most teachers, but if you do the homework you will not be feeling wrath! :) so do the homework and you will be fine.
I had a really good experience with this teacher. She lets you bring a cheat sheet, gives plenty of bonus points on each test and doesn't give out a ton of graded homework. Also, she can come across rude because of her accent, but really, she is quite funny and always willing to answer even the dumbest questions.
Was she mean? Maybe a little, but if you want to understand the material then TAKE HER CLASS. Compared to what I have heard about the other Calc3 professors, she is by far the best and she allows cheat sheets. I wouldn't have gotten an A in calc3 if a took another professor. I 100% suggest you take her class.
I definitely recommend her. A lot of people will tell you that she is mean, but she is only mean when you ask a dumb question. If you passed calc I&II then III should be a cake walk. I dont understand why people dont think they need to remember stuff from old classes, but you should. And a question every now and then is fine, but just dont be dumb.

If you have any interest in learning Differential Equations from Vladamir Putin's grandmother, Alina is your pick! Basically yapping at the students, this condescending professor makes you feel like a child timidly tiptoeing through complex math. And don't even begin to come to class without an empty blatter. Alina will curse Russian if you get up.

She certainly makes you work for your grade, but WolfframAlpha is your friend! Ask questions and she is happy to help. She may not seem like it, though, due to the whole soviet union vibe going on. Also, don't ever be late for class! (She'll tear ya a new one) She makes sure you know your stuff, and you'll know if you don't. Would take again.
Absolutely amazing teacher. This lady may be a little rough around the edges but she's fantastic. I f you don't know the pre-req info or ask dumb questions, she will let you know about it. The worst experience I have ever had with math at UNCC. Study guides were simple and easy to solve, then the test questions were unsolvable without a solid knowledge of trigonometric identities and factoring. She has messy handwriting, and has to be reminded by students to properly align the paper she takes notes on during class. Take Safronov.
Absolutely awful teacher, moves to fast in class so taking notes becomes very hard. She likes to degrade students and pretty much calls them stupid, makes you not want to ask questions. She's hard to understand and she doesn't explain things well at all. I highly recommend you avoid her classes.
Dr. Reznikova is a tough but firm professor. Three tests, two graded, then a final worth 30%. Formula sheets are allowed for each test, which is a necessity. The final allowed open book and notes; if you understand the material, you should pass the class. Not easy, not difficult.
Do not take her for anything, she's probably the worst teacher I've ever seen. She's like that woman at the DMV that is irrationally mean and nasty for no apparent reason. I don't think there has been one class session that she hasn't chewed out either one individual or the whole class for something stupid. UNCC needs to fire this woman.

She's a nice but this is for your own good when i tell you to not take her. You can be writing the easiest paper but she'll still manage to fail you or give you a low grade on it somehow. IMPOSSIBLE grader. I get great grades but definately not in her class. Im seriously worried i might fail a class for the first time. Get out now while you can.
Really smart professor with an attitude problem. Can't handle disciplinary issues in the classroom without stopping the entire lecture and ranting for at least 20 minutes. Don't come in late or try to leave early or she'll burn you up. You can make your own equation sheets for the tests and final is open book. Final is HARD but not undoable.
I personally think Reznikova is a great professor. She can seem pretty harsh at first, but she has a soft spot for students who try hard and go to office hours. You can use your own formula sheet on every test, and she doesn't check what's on it, so you can bring just about anything you need (table of integrals, Laplace, etc). Open book/note final.

Great professor. Always available to answer questions. Her tests are very straight forward and reflect well the material covered in class and she lets you use a cheat sheet on the exams and the final is open book open notes. She presents the material in a way that is very easy to understand by doing many examples in class.
This professor is the worst professor I have ever had in my college career. I had a near 4.0 GPA before taking this teacher, I did extremely well on her test, even getting a 100 on one of them and an A on another and my WebWork grade was a 100 percent. Yet, I ended up with a C in the class, DO NOT TAKE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GPA.
Dr. Reznikova is passive aggressive. If you're late, she'll call you out, and rant. If you answer a question wrong she'll let you know. She's lenient in testing, you get a formula sheet which she doesn't check. The final is open book. But the way she conducts herself doesn't make things easier. Dr. Reznikova is not an option I would recommend for those interested in taking the Differential Equations class. Although she gives the option of open book exams, her lectures are challenging to pay attention to. She also overcomplicates the material, and will give students a hard time for not asking perfect questions or for reading notes in class
I would not take this professor again if someone paid me. She very often makes mistakes during her lectures, which in mathematics is a huge deal. She will make a mistake and if a student does not point it out she will not fix it. She speaks to her students in a derogatory tone as well. Horrible professor, DO NOT TAKE HER.

She teaches something one way and then when you review the material for the exam she teaches it a completely different way don't even think about asking ANY questions because she will treat you like you're ignorant

The tests are exactly like the homework questions. Gives a lot of homework but if you do it, you will pass no problem. What you give is what you get kind of class.
She holds her notes sideways in class so they're difficult to read. She's a tough grader, does not curve exams, and overlooks cheating. She blatantly caught a student cheating during the final and let the student continue- they got an A. Do the homework. Don't even do the practice exams she gives because they're nothing like the real exams.
Horrible teacher!!!! Assumes that just because students only ask one or two questions about the homework, then that means they did not do it. So in turn, she assigns 20-30 extra problems to turn in the next class. Also makes slick remarks throughout the class about how no one knows the content and will not pass!
Without question, Dr. Reznikova is the worst teacher I have ever had. Her behavior towards students is an embarrassment to the college, and her attitude and teaching style are completely uncalled for in any professional setting. I have never had a teacher who actually -yells- at students, nor spends most of the lecture complaining. DO NOT TAKE HER.
This is by far the worst professor I have ever had. I had to drop her class because of how abrasive she was towards students. She was rude when asked questions and did not teach the material effectively at. all.
Hands down the worst professor I have ever had. Take any other professor for 2171 if you can. She would constantly yell at students and the class as a whole for the weirdest and dumbest reasons. Her tests were very difficult and the review she gave before each was a joke. Honestly, you are better off passing the course taking someone else.
She is very straight forward and can be rude at times. If you're a person that does well in math and does all your work she's a good option. If you struggle in math or don't do any work towards the class she will eat you alive. Need to be in class on time and asking questions when needed.
She demands a high level of respect during class, she can be blunt/ borderline rude, and she doesn't hesitate from calling students out. If you can get past all that and chalk it up to cultural differences, her homework and tests are incredibly easy. Just show up to class, do your homework, and you should get an A or B on exams.
Don't take her, horrible teacher. Dropped from the class cause I wasn't understanding anything. Took it the next semester with another teacher and understood everything and did well in the class. Doesn't know how to separate teaching and personal feelings. If she doesn't like you good luck, she'll make it obvious she doesn't like you. Just Horrible
Pretty much, If you leave your ego at the door, deal with her attitude, you will pass. She does understand the subject. She respects hard word and help you out if you prove you deserve it.
