Really cares about the students a lot. Her first time teaching, but wish all my teachers were like her (and looked like her)! Really funny- should do stand up comedy! Don't cross her though, she's not a pushover at all and will put you in your place right away. Wish she taught all my classes.

Even though I got an A-, it was a totally fair class. If you study the notes, you can get an A in here. Seems like she's repeating things, but then you see it on her exams and it all start to relate to each other so it's really good. Easy to remember this way. Final was long, but fair, no trick questions. Really good for a new professor.

Dont miss class or youll miss alot. Funny stories and pushes you to be a "self actualizer". Great stories. Makes a Friday night class fun to go to.

OUTSTANDING PROF! May seem difficult at first, class is challenging but she makes the topic highly comprehensive. Even the guys that constantly slacked off got by. Highly recommended.

She makes very difficult concepts extremely easy. She really cares about the student overall. She makes fresh notes for the student every lesson, so if a student missed a class she will forward the lesson and it feels like you didn't miss a thing. She is extremely fair and understanding. If you put work into her class you will get a good grade.

She is an excellent teacher. If you have to take a psych class-take her. Her name is currently Russo but it will eventually change to Dwane (I think that is the right spelling). She's nice but don't think that she will let you abuse her niceness-she will let you know. One of the best classes I took since I started. I highly recommend her.

she's hot. she's smart. shes cares about her students. there is really nothing more i can say, but if you take this professor for any of her psychology classes your being doing yourself a justice. she really made me want to come to class and she kept the class entertained. she did go over a few classes sessions by 10minutes but its cool.

Excellent prof. I had her for saturday class this semester and she made it feel very relaxed and the material relatable to each person. Great sense of humor so you won't go to sleep and just an overall laid back chick lol!! Exams are great and she genuinely cares about how you do, and don't worry if you have her notes then you got an A!

Professor Russo is a great person! I like her passion for what she teaches and the passionate way that she teaches. Kept me interested in always coming to class. I now enjoy psychology. Has a great personality, but she is NO joke. That is what I like the most, she is REAL! Wonderful professor! Would love her for all psych classes.

The BEST professor at CityTech. If you don't understand something she will explain it during class, after class, she will be available for you 24/7 until you get it. This professor was the best I have had this semester, and it was not even my major. You can definitely pass this class 1) she is very helpful, and uses mnemonics in helping you to remember definitions 2) she goes over it until you get it and would even break it down on the blackboard for you to understand. first time I took this class I failed but this time I passed it. Prof. Elisa Dwane is yet one of the best professors I had ever have. she motivates us to come to class and to pass the tests. She is very clear on her lectures and it's always there to explain anything you don't understand (she gave us her phone number to call anytime we need help)

Best professor. She has an amazing teaching style. Makes even the most difficult concepts seem like a walk in the park. She made sure that we left each class knowing something new that we could actually apply to our own lives. Attendance is mandatory, helpful, and not hard to commit to, bc she actually makes you want to go to every class.

Psychology is hard for me but she makes it easy and gives you ways to remember everything. The tests are fair but you have to study to get an A. I can tell she really cares about the students because I had a lot of trouble and she went over everything a few times until I felt comfortable. I really miss her and wish she taught my other classes.

She's very focus on the education of the student and allow them to express themselves if they find themselves lost. NOT EASY A CLASS. There are 4 exams, 1 paper, quiz almost every class, attendance. You have to stay the entire class time. There are total of 14 chapters. But she will cut some topics. You have to study each week. Exams come directly from the notes that she gives you. She does review for exams. You have to study. Otherwise you might suffer.

Alisa is absolutely amazing and a real inspiration. She genuinely cares, not only about the education of her students but also their welfare. She is an amazing teacher and human in general. I wish I could be in her class forever!! I learned a lot from her, not only for the class but for my personal struggles as well.

Great proffesor. She's walks you through the material in a very entertaining way that makes grasping complicated concepts easy since her antecdotes are very memorable. She goes out of her way to help students and is very responsive, I had a family emergency that caused me to miss the midterm and she was accomdating and seemed genuinely concerned.

Proffesor Dwane was amazing! Hard class but she made it easy by breaking it down so everything was easy to remember. She let's you know what's expected and gives you a clear path to succeed, I got I thought the class was pretty scary cause of heavy topics covered but managed to get an A and feel I learned a lot.

I had a pleasure to attend Professor Dwanes class. Professor Dwane is kind and very helpful person; she always has time for her students. Her lectures are very interesting. The time in class goes very fast. There are 4 exams ( 1, midterm, 3rd and the final). The final is cumulative.

Th class is asynchronous, and the tests are easy as long as you review her videos. All in all an amazing professor, would take her class a thousand times over!

She's fantastic! Her lesson was enjoyable, and she genuinely cares about her pupils. I would highly suggest her class since she made it enjoyable for us. We communicated with her via Skype, which made us feel like we were part of a family. We had a quiz every week based on the lecture, we also had blackboard assignments.

Prof Dwane is one of the best professors at NYCCT. The class was asynchronous but conducted through BB & Skype which made it alot more personal. I'm really going to miss Prof D's feedback, stories, & humor. All of the work is straight forward so just match her effort. Take notes using her notes she kindly provides as a guide and you'll be fine. 4 multiple-choice exams -- 3 with 50-60 questions, and the 4th with 111. Take her! :)

Professor Dwane is an amazing professor! although my class was asynchronous we had Skype check ins and her feedback and advice was top tier! if I could I would definitely take her again.There was 14 exam and 10 BBD. None of these were tough as long as you watched her videos and read the chapters you will be fine!

I thought psy could be interesting and I was debating whether I should try it out and I did with no regrets. The lectures she provides are great with all the info you need; she puts it in a great way for you to understand. If you want to take a psy class or an extra class take hers. I would take an advanced psy class if I can get her as a prof.

At first the way she has the course set up with exams, check ins, and discussion boards it may seem a bit stressful at first but you just need to get used to it. In this class you get what you put in. The work is not hard and she actually makes you want to learn more and is very understanding. Work and self is both presented and makes it easier.

The class was interesting, thoughtful, and explorative. The grading might seem a little confusing at first, but once you read, and digest the syllabus, it becomes really clear. I found her easy to reach and very helpful in explaining things that I did not understand at first. Take the class, do the work, and you'll pass with flying colors.

It was stressful at first mostly getting used to using skype, however, once you get the hang of it it is all good. The class is pretty and interesting. She is also very interactive and easy to get in contact with.

Simply a fantastic professor, who cares so very much about her students and their wellbeing. She is always reachable when you need her, or when you need help. A mental health professional in the truest-sense. Listen closely, as she will give you info to do well in the class, but also info regarding how to live and feel well. My hat's off to her.

Professor Dwane cares abt her students and their perspectives. She also makes sure to not give any group work which I really appreciate, as working with others is difficult. The prof's assignments are fun to think about and answer. She doesn't assign any lengthy papers or insane tests. She is extremely fair. I would most def take again.

Professor Dwane genuinely cares about her students. The class consists of a weekly quiz, discussion board, and a “Skype check-in”, where you respond to a question in a Skype message to the Professor. Her goal is to inspire students and teach them how to navigate adversities in their lives. She is very kind and works with you to help you get an A.

Professor Dwane is honestly one of the best professors I have ever had. Even though the class was online the work was very engaging and she is always there to help whenever you need it. The entire course load is also easy once you put in the effort you will pass she is a very easy grader as well. Take this professor, you will not regret it

She's a great professor, she provides a notes sheet and video lecture for each chapter. Gives a week deadline to finish work. Its an easy class as long as you do the discussion boards, assignments and go over the notes she provides for exams. Exams are about 50 questions and the final had around 100 questions.
