Excellent instructor! I took her 6wk Speech class. She surely caught the attention of every person in class. Very direct in what she expects from you.

I hated group speech. My group refused to work and I ended up putting the presentation together by myself. Shubb's nice and very friendly but her lectures didn't really teach me anything.

She is a pretty easy teacher, but seems like shes not all there. Somewhat disorganized. Show enthusiasm in your speech and you'll get a good grade. The class also thinks she has about 50,000 pairs of shoes.

Great teacher. Very easygoing. Only one homework assignment the entire semester and a paper.

I took her 6 week course. It is definatly worth it! It was so easy! We had only one test and one group presentaion that we had to do. She was very energetic and was able to keep everyones attention for the whole class time.

her class is easy. you just have to do a couple of things. this teacher is so into herself that i guess she deosnt put much effort to her class. its a good class to make jokes since she dresses crazy and looks even crazier.

She is almost always late, however she is a great teacher. The midterm is kind of difficult though. Overall a great class.

This class is a LOT of work, but you learn a lot too. If you're in her first class of the day she's always late - good thing if you are too. I hated the video tape evaluations, but overall I'm more comfortable speaking publicly now.

Just follow the speech guidelines, Do not start speech out with "umh" Take notes, and give the speech by looking at students eyes. Gives out good grade, just need to show her that your care about your grade.

Had her for both Interpersonal Communication and Group Discussion. Very enthusiatic and interesting lectures. Loved this class. Not much need for book except for open note tests. Easy A if you attend class, take notes, and pay attention.

This pretty lady was born to teach this class!! She is never dull, or boring. She is very knowledgable and willing to help you suceed. No need to purchase the book, but if you must please BUY IT USED or the maybe even one edition old. Take good notes and be prepared to talk, listen, and learn!

Fun class. Only downside is that discussion often becomes group therapy. But overall, it is a fun, low-pressure class. Course Work: 3 tests, daily journals, and a term paper.

Trust everyone-don't buy the book. This class was quite a bit of work. But it isn't hard to get a good grade, just follow her guidlines and steps when you're writing your speech.

she's very enthusiastic and nice. She makes a couple jokes and tries to relate to the class. I think she is a very good teacher and if you just show up for more than half the classes, you should be good. I also, thinks she grades fairly.

She is a very great teacher. She is very relaxed and fair but here's an important warning! Show up to ALL speeches. Missing one could bump your grade by far because all you have are three written assignments, one test and the speeches.

I went into this class dreading it, but Prof. Shubb made all the difference. She was enthusiastic and animated--I actually ended up having a lot of fun in the class. Just make sure to be at class for all of your speeches becuase there's hardly any written work. It's easy and fun. Take her class, you'll like it a lot.

Alisa Shubb is one of the best teachers I ever had. When I started her class I was in panic but her class is so fun and not even hard. You actually learn so much about public speaking. Alisa y so funny and interesting that you would want to go to class every day. There is only 1 exam, 5 speeches, and two very easy papers. She's awsome!

Prof. makes the class easy. I was timid of taking speech but she made it easy to give speechs. I still use my knowledge I learned. Shubb really dresses funky. I liked to go to class just to see what she was wearing.

A GOOD PROFESSOR WHO SETS A LOT OF STANDARDS. FIRST HALF OF SEMESTER WAS EASY BUT SECOND HALF HARD AND DEMANDING. ONE HOUR GROUP PRESENTATION FOR THE FINAL.

Prof. Shubb is a very good instructor. She knows her material and presents it in a very engaging manner with a lot of anecdotal stories. The first half of the course was easy; however, the second half of the course was very stressful with an hour-long presentation, a difficult research paper, 6 observation logs w/a summary, and a final. AARG!

Professor Shubb is sooooooo cute, she has a wonderful personality and makes the class fun and interesting. She definitely gets my vote. I took her in the summer so it was a little bit intense, but she made it a great experience!!!!!

This teacher IS gorgeous, for one thing. Always well dressed and made up. Looks like a trophy wife, but honestly is very intelligent. She's a little reserved but is a good professor. I didn't like some of the assignments, but even doing a half-a$$ed job in the class I still got an A. If you write a decent speech you'll be fine.

I felt that she was kind of a nightmare, not hot just puts on make up, she's acctually sorta scary, talked alot about her life it was somewhat annoying. I didn't want to take this class at first by now I am glad I did. The prof knows her subject and tells lots funny stories that are related to the topic so you are always interested, even early in the morning. She can be really helpful too if you ask in class or go to her office hours. It was hard but I got an A.

Take the six week class, it is more about working with people than actual speech. She's also the hottest teacher I've ever had.

This class is easy. Make sure you prepare for your speeches and you will get a good grade. We didn't use the text book at all. Don't even buy it.

Alisa is absolutely I wonderful teacher and really believes in the "Power of Oratory" as she put it. Her class is simple so long as you don't get nervous and go to her lectures to write down the speech format she likes to use. I also never bought the book; if you want extra sources I'd recommend just going to her website.

I have taken two of Professor Shubb's classes and they have changed the course of my life. I want to be a college professor of public speaking and interpersonal communication now! You will learn so much about yourself and others when you take her class. Open note tests, short journaling assignments and one small individual project which is fun!

Rocks and is totally hot. i took the class because she had so many hot ratings but now for some reason she has a 0. But Shubb is great anyhow. and still hot.

Thought the class would be boring but waws surprisingly intereresting. Shubb gives good examples that help you keep focused. Sometiems other students say stupid things but waht can you expect?

Professor Shubb is a really fun teacher, she is totally hot and has style! Group Communication was really interesting, thanks to her lectures. I am so glad I took this class, as I hate public speaking. I really ended up liking my group and learning a lot in the class. Definitely recommend Speech 331

This class is really easy as long as your attendance is good and you put effort into your speeches. Don't bother trying to **** on assignments; Shubb can smell **** from a mile away. She is very nice and has a great sense of humor. Every once in a while, she tells a good story.

This is a breeze course. She does not take role however it is very beneficial to show up to class. Final is very easy. Just write what she writes on the board. She allows notes to be used. Super sweet. Does not email because she doesnt think its a good form of communication, but she does return phone calls. Overall, good class and prof.

She is a good teacher with crazy outfits. I've learned a great deal in communicating and reactions/personal trails within self. I was dreading this class and overall she made it easy for myself. I would take professor Shubb again anyday, even though she is a little egocentric. That's ok with me, I take it as confidence and complimentary to her.

Nice lady. Take good notes on everything she writes on the board. Shubb is a very generous grader on projects, she knows public speaking can be tough. No quizzes, gives a study guide for everything on the final, plus final is open note and open textbook. C'mon, can't get any easier than that. Each class you'll find yourself checking out her shoes.

Oh my gosh guys this professor is so amazing. Really no joke, this is probably the best class you will ever take and Shubb is an amazing teacher. Everything she says is clear and easy to understand and on top of that she is really pretty. I strongly recomend this class and professor because she is so helpfull and made me really understand material!

Shubb is a good teacher, but sometimes can be very moody. If she comes in and says she's stressed, don't push her buttons. She grades easy but sometimes comes off a little insincere when you ask for help. Great fashion sense though, I want her shoes! Would take another class with her.

I hate Speech classes with a passion, but this one was pretty painless. Prof Shubb is very encouraging and helpful. This class is a combination of individual and group assignments. The group assignments are run in a way that you are very unlikely to get a bad grade based on one member's lack of work. Great option for the Communication requirement!

Great professor, very clear on what is expected of you. Very helpful wherever you ask. I was terrified of public speaking but she made it seem like nothing. I leant a whole lot. Just read the book (easy read) and ask questions, and you'll know exactly what to do to get your A! Highly recommend her!

She is very clear in all her lectures. There is only one test and its the final. However, there are several papers throughout the semester. But, you do have ample time to do them. She gives everything in the course outline and you can finish the papers before the due date. I would totally take her again. Textbook isn't even used once.

Shes very fashionable and has a good personality, but shes really rude and harsh if you talk to her one on one. She made it very clear she did not like me, and rolled her eyes often when I spoke. Don't know what her problem was. But the class itself is easy and if she decides she likes you then it should be a good time for you.

I'll start off by saying that this class is an easy A. Just show up, take good notes, and enjoy the class discussions. Tests are open note and easy. She's a wonderful professor.

Attendance is not mandatory, but recommended. For more than 1 of her classes, tests are open-notes. Participation in class is essential, sometimes making a full letter grade difference. Great at clear, concise requirements, as well as feedback. Knows how to keep a lecture from slowing to a grind.

Professor Shubb is an awesome teacher. It is not always clear what she is looking for but just ask if you don't understand. She gives great feed back on papers and speeches, and you will need to book to help clarify. I would recommend this class for the more independent students.

3 multiple-choice exams (which includes non-cumulative Final Exam), one oral presentation, one formal homework assignment, daily written journal assignments of a page or more during semester, and research paper is required. Professor Shubb is fabulous! We have 5 speeches and one multiple choice exam ( which is unnecessarily long), but overall a good professor. Also, she's so hot for her age... such an inspiration

I loved this class. Not only is she a fun professor but the way she set up her class makes everything flow and fun. You can notice how she uses what she teaches in her own classes. Makes it easy to REALLY learn.

Relatively straight-forward and easy class. Professor Shubb is fun, humorous and very lenient. Test are open notes and and purely based on lecture & discussions. No real "homework" aside from a very open topic research paper. Barely used the textbook at all. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, engaging and simple Interpersonal-com course.

You do not need the textbook for this class! Save your money on that. She requires readings but theyre not necessary. Everything youll need is in her lectures. Textbook was only used on final which is open note so go to library and take pics instead. 2 speeches, 3 essays, and one group project. Required to attend event for one of the essays.

Take this teacher for speech! I was really nervous prior to this class about speaking in front of people but she breaks it down so easily so you won't be nervous at all! I definitely am more comfortable with speaking in front of people. Take this teacher!

AMAZING TEACHER! 10/10 would recommend! Her class is super easy and enjoyable. She creates a good environment in her class which makes it easier to give speeches in. Her class consists of three speeches, two individual and a group speech. There are three small papers, but they are relatively easy and she is very lenient with her grading.

SO EASY. She is such a good teacher, she teaches very well. Super interesting to listen too, always shares good stories. The exams are open-notes, there's an 8 page term essay which is still easy, and 1 discussion. She always had us get into groups every class and discuss topics. This is a very talkative class, so be prepared of that.

By far THE best professor I've ever had. Not because her class is easy, but it's enjoyable to listen to her talk and teach. She's great at what she does and you can tell she thoroughly enjoys it. Class participation becomes really easy because the whole class is just comfortable with each other. 10/10. Im going to take her for more speech classes

Shubb is absolutely amazing, I am not a fan of public speaking but she made me feel very comfortable and clearly tells you what she expects in every speech. Professor Shubb is very caring and respectful. She makes that public speaking is not so difficult as we used to think. 100% attendance is not mandatory but it is worth to come for classes. And she is a very pretty woman not only internally, but also externally.

Amazing professor for Speech 321. She is very clear on what she is expecting. Gives you all the resources you need. NO BOOK needed. She is always there to answer questions and give feedback. She made the class fun even though it was online. Definitely very understanding and works with you if unexpected things happen.

The easiest class I've taken so far, she is very kind in her emails, and is just a generally encouraging person.

Loved this professor and the class was great....until the group project. Total mess and honestly a waste of my time. I'm too old to be doing group projects. Deadlines for the group project were also INSANE. I recommend this class but not during the summer semester, unless you want to be burned out.

She, as a professor, is incredibly nice and will respond to your emails if you have any trouble. I will say that she is a bit of a tough grader and will dock a few points if you don't follow everything from the rubric, obviously. I will suggest to future students considering her, to do ALL assignments and follow the rubric and you'll get an A!

Discussion boards you must record yourself it's not that bad. She has a group project; hope that you get a good group which makes things easier.

The professor can be quite lenient as long as you communicate your needs to her properly. The assignments are fairly easy except for having to reply to every classmate and being timely is needed since she doesn't accept late work.
