She is not very good at teaching, the tests have questions on it that she didnt cover in class and whenever she wants to move on to a new subject she says "if you arent sure come see me in my office". Her office hours are little so even if you needed help you would have a hard time cause her hours are so little, her teaching stinks
she is super easy and nice. always lets you turn in homework late and the tests are simple.
She cant keep the class awake....or even in class, by 3pm half the class is gone and about half of the kids left are asleep.
I'd ask her for help, and she would just come over, tell me quickly how to do something, and then leave without watching to see if I did it right. I also tried my very hardest. She's a decent person, but her teaching is lacking. Didn't like having to go to tutoring whether we needed to or not. Gives tons of homework and not enough credit for it.
She is a very nice person. She loves math and students who are interested in math. I didn't like her teaching style, but she really wants to help students to understand math problems.
I think she is a bad choice for anyone who just wants to pass math and get it over with. The class was extremely difficult and stressful. Her tests were so infrequent that they would cover half a semester of really difficult material on one test, and all the homework (improperly weighted) would be due as well, usually about 13 pgs front and back.
She is super nice if u go to her office hours... she really tries her best and loves it when u ask her questions... she is awesome:-)
great teacher... explains math in a language I can understand...
Very caring of her students, wants you to pass her class and tries to help you in all ways possible.
Awesome teacher. Cheerful and helpful, gives lots of extra credit and explains math in a way that's simple to understand. Even helps on tests, gives take home quizzes, always has lots of office hours. If you do the work and come to class, you'll definatly pass.
Teaches 95, and 96 but is one of the hardest teachers I have ever had.
I thought she was a very good teacher she cares alot about her students and really wants you to learn the material.explains fast but will will explain it many different ways untill you understand.have to attend every class or you will be lost.the homework is just practice so if you get that section, dont do it(homework counts very litte twardsgrade)
EXCELLENT. Hands Down. Chargers Fan! Fun-Loving! Genuine! Most importantly...she truly cares about whether or not the students are understanding the material. She is very knowledgeable and structured. Stay on top of your notebooks, it'll benefit you in the long-run. They're a great organizational and learning tactic that she employs.
way cool teacher. so helpful. it's a hard class though. tests are cumilitive. you have to do hw to pass. collects notebooks at tests. always willing to help and EXTREMELY easy to approach. take her she's great
Excellent teacher. Try to explain basic math term so students can understand. Bit slow if you already know the material. Lot of work on homeworks and notes. Always got to turn in the notebook if you want to pass the class. Good on one-on-one. Helpful when she can be. Caring for her student and wants all of her students to pass. I got B in the class
This teacher is...okay. She gives a lot of homework which isnt even worth that many points. Her class is boring. Shes a good teacher though. She tries her best to help you in anything and gives a LOT of office hours!
take math with this teacher! if you've ever had issues with math, you won't after attending her class. she explains throughly and is always willing to help. she has a ton office hours, and often adds more if she sees the class needs help. H.W. is alot but it's a necessary tool for learning. SHE'S THE BEST!
this instructor has a bad attitude she try's to act like she care when she really really doesn't you could totally tell and it's this class I wouldn't recommed at all there are teacherswho I've came across those that care but if she's not happy there then shouldn't be teaching at all.
do not take for math96!! assigns too much hw that you turn in for a grade. Her lectures are all over the place. Test questions come out of nowhere. didnt understand anything. offers ex. credit but totaly not worth it.
Miss.D is THE best teacher Ive had at Mesa college. Her classes are very straight forward and she makes sure everybody get's it. Math is never a class that you can just sit in the back and sleep. She will make you participate but that is great and helps you stay on track. She is really fair and gives alot of her own sparetime to help u if u need it
Miss D is a teacher that u wish all ur teachers were like. Shes not only an amazing professor but an amazing person. Don't listen to the butt-hurt people who prob didn't even try. She puts in a ton of her own time & is dedicated to making sure her students understand the material.Genuinely cares. Great class, math is never easy so take it seriously
she WANTS to help you get a good grade. amazing math teacher. i wish she taught 116 and 121.
Let me be clear! I took one year of algebra in high school, in which i did poorly. I went into this class knowing almost nothing of the topic. However she made it possible for me to not only understand well enough to pass, but to get A's on most of my tests. A poor experience with her would be the exception. Excellence, the absolute rule!!
Here's a tip for all those people who wrote bad comments about Miss Damoose,GO BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL!! She is very caring, and has plenty of office hours available. Tests follow her lectures, so don't be late or it's your own fault! Awesome teacher! She makes math Fun!! Take Miss D!!
Miss Damoose is a great teacher. She's very good at explaining the math in ways that are easy to understand. She's serious & passionate about her class, so don't take it if you want to goof off. She assigns a lot of homework, but just stay on top of it and you'll be fine. She gives a good foundation for the next level of Math.
Mrs.D is an awsome teacher. He has enought office hours for you to understand the concept. She lloks for ways in helping everyone out. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She makes math simple enought to understand it.. you should take her and she is very nice and friendly.
She is a sweet lady but I personally do not like how she teaches. What I do not like about her is that when she is on the board teaching, she asks you how to do a problem instead of telling you how to solve it. Example X=5 she will as "how do you solve this problem" rather than telling you how to solve it. She skips steps also.
excellent teacher! very helpful to every student.
Very understanding. Lots of office hours. She WANTS to help you. And she will actually remember your name. I'd have to say the best teacher i've had so far overall. If you have the option, TAKE HER.
I had her for Pre-Algebra 2 semesters ago and I loved her! She asks her students how they learn and she approaches concepts a few different ways which is great because some people learn differently than others. Shes extremely helpful and really wants you to succeed! I HIGHLY recommend !!
Miss D is the best, take her guys!!!
I really do not like her teaching style at all. Whenever she comes into class she seems flustered and she is always in a hurry. With math you really should not rush. She is all over the place and she isn't very organized. Also she says some pretty rude things which can be discouraging. She definitely has her favorite students. Dont take her!
She is the best Math teacher i have had. Very helpful if you are falling behind. She always make sure to explain things in diff. ways so everyone understands. Lots of office hours to which are very helpful. Take her she is great
dont take her unless you learn by ourself. she never has time for her students. doesnt explain, she just tell you she will explain later, and never does. is very fustrating because she goes so fast you cant learn it. no matter how hard you try she doesnt give u a good grade.
She is Awesome!! So nice, she knows her stuff and she makes it fun and i felt eager to learn. Take her but go to class and you HAVE to try :) THANKS!!! Gave me an A
She's really nice, as long as you dont interrupt her while shes talking. Pay attention in class, do homework, & if u fall behind make sure to get help and you'll do just fine. She likes giving her students candy sometimes too & thats a plus for me lol <33333333
Great teacher & SUPER COOL! She wants students to learn something, not just pass. Serious abt teaching and expects same from students. U must PAY ATTENTION in class! Accessible & hlpful if you ask for help. Xlnt for visual learners. Use the handouts. Very DSPS friendly. If you do the work, the class is easy. One of my top 3 fave teachers at Mesa.
Hands down BEST math teacher I've ever had! Took Algebra 3x and finally got it with her...even got an A! :) She is so nice and helpful! Likes it if you participate in class! Do the homework, ask questions, go to office hours if need be and you will do well! Tests weren't too hard and you can do corrections for extra points! TAKE THIS TEACHER!
Requires 20 HW problems from each section. She's a good teacher who just wants to you understand. She likes students to go to office hours if they are struggling. Offers extra credit occasionally. Cumulative test every chapter, so make sure you know it before starting next chapter. Great teacher and great experience. Taking her for next course also
Ms D is a dedicated teacher. The definition of an amazing teacher = a teacher who cares about her students, helps them to learn any way she can and is willing to put in her own time, and is CLEAR. as long as you try, you will get a good grade. She does have her favorites but doesn't every teacher? I would take her a million times if I could.
good teacher. teaches very well. tons of tests!
I have always struggled with math. Miss D is a great teacher. my lowest test score was a 91% she has office hrs and is willing to help. i would take her again and again.
she is nice teacher. but not a really good one. she never has time for the students when wanting to ask questions you have to make an appointment. definetly has her students and prefrenceses. only if you learn on your own and dont are really good in math take her if not dont!
The 2 comments below mine are not valid. Miss D is a wonderful professor who cares about one thing- her students understanding what is going on and passing her class. She will put a lot of time into helping you understand something you're not. Just go to her office hours. I HATE math(sorry miss d)ha but she helped me have a better understanding
Ms. D is a great teacher!! i would definitely recommend her. she explains everything to a T. Sooo glad i took her, if you aren't getting it or if you have a problem shes more than happy to help, so if your not passing- its probably on you.
... shes a nice person... but a REALLY BAD PROF. Everyone I have talked to aside from 1 person agree, shes a nice lady... crappy teacher though. she is disorganized, unclear, rushes, wont stop and explain and then she tells u to go to her oh's and doesnt show up herself... I would NOT reccomend this professor ... sorry!
she is fricken amazing a miracle worker actually. she is the only person in 20 years to make me understand math. dont get me wrong you have to have a good attitude but she will go to the end of the earth to help you.......just ask and she will be there.
she is fricken amazing a miracle worker actually. she is the only person in 20 years to make me understand math. dont get me wrong you have to have a good attitude but she will go to the end of the earth to help you.......just ask and she will be there.
Definition of an AWESOME professor. She WANTS you to pass. Easy A. You don't have to work hard for it. But don't expect to skip class, show up late, skip assignments, and expect to pass Pay attention, ask questions, and do your hw She's there to help you so dont be scared to ask for it:) Keep up the great work Miss D. I'll see you next semester :)
GREAT
Take her!
Well, I've never been good at math but she made me realize I can do it! She is a nice lady but she rushes so quick, therefore you should raise your hand and ask her to repeat. She will. She does have her favorites but doesn't matter just do the work and you'll pass. Ask questions. Don't be late to her class she hates that. She's better than averag
If you never understood math and have a lot of math anxiety this is the class for you. She's my favorite prof and made math really fun. Study, ask questions, go to her office hours and you'll get an A.
I absolutely adore Ms. Damoose. Best college prof I've had so far. She is soo helpful and makes sure you do well. Just follow the homework and you'll do well! She even adjusts her office hours and time during the day to help here. Take her!!
very clear. nice and has office hours. Im taking her for the 2nd semester.
This Teacher never explains well always disorganized gives unrealistic homework assignments and is always late, treats students like kindergarten level really wasted my time , really bad Math teacher
Great prof. Very nice and helpful. Do your homework and attend office hours if you dont understand things and you will do fine.
Do not like her teaching style. She expects you to figure things out rather than her teaching you how to do things. Your basically on your own here.
Literally THE best math teacher I have ever had. If you struggle with math like I did, take her. Plenty of office hours, replies to emails, just an all around caring teacher who wants you to succeed.
Miss Damoose is an awesome teacher and she actually cares about her students. She explains things very clearly, so if you keep up with the homework and ask questions if you're unsure of something you should do fine. She also has regular office hours and is extremely helpful at them, so if you're uncertain about a problem make sure to go.
Great teacher and very helpful. But she is everywhere. Jumps around too much and expects everyone to be at her level.
I LOVE HER!! By far the best math teacher that I have had! She really makes math fun and relatable to real life! If you are super into learning from the text book and not having real life examples, she is not for you. Quirky and fun class but still challenging! She does anything to help everyone out (including meeting for tutoring whenever!).
She is a great teacher who really wants everyone to succeed. Show up to her office hours for help and before tests for hints... also do the homework. She's super easy going but she expects you to do your part. If you suck at math but she sees you're trying (ie. going to office hours, asking q's in class, etc.) you'll reap the benefits. Easy A.
maybe im just really horrible at math, or maybe i wouldnt have had to drop the class if.. Ms damoose doesnt let her ego get in the way of teaching. She brings her personal life to class a lot. She complains. and dont get on her bad side. I hope your not in a class with a bunch of adolsecent obnoxious kids that sit in the back cuz she cant control
At first I was petrified with this class. From day one Mrs. Damoose teaches you to think critically rather than give you formulas just to plug in. Mrs. Damoose gave me so many learning skills and she truly cares about you. Teaching isnt about a grade, its about learning. Go to office hours and put in the time. Ive gained life long lessons from her.
She is a very good professor that knows how to teach math in a way that will prepare you for future classes or jobs after hers. Doesn't teach to the test per se, but always let's you know what to expect.
She is very forgetful and unprepared. If you asked questions on how she got the answer, she will say to come during office hours because she doesn't have time to explain. On the other hand she's nice.
It's math not many people like it. She makes it better, and is a good teacher that cares about her students. If you want to pass you can. You just have to put in the time. She will help you but you have to do your part! Fun class
Terribly disorganized. Late, flustered and easily distracted. She has no ability to control a group of people and maintain order. She's good at math though! She has a very strange thought process and jumps around a lot, not good when your learning info for the first time. Gives unrelated extra credit; IE halloween costumes +points.
If you're terrible at math, DO NOT take this class, she is very disorganized and rushes through the lesson.
Sometimes can seem disorganized during lesson but just has a different approach of emphasizing and connecting topics. Often doesn't narrate everything, so pay attention. Gives PLENTY of opportunities for extra help, extra credit and make-up/revision work. Homework and classwork text-book based.
Hands down the BEST math teacher I've ever had. I'm generally good at math but even those who aren't can succeed in her class. She is very organized & allows u 2 work with others & ALWAYS goes back over the homework ?'s to make sure everyone understands it. She provides formulas for tests which can help a lot. I'd take her again if I could!
I failed math in HS and joined the marines so coming back to college again was terrifying. Professor Damoose really inspired me and now I'm in Calc 2 with very good math grades and considering changing to pure math major!
She can be all over the place because she does seem to be a very energetic person. EXTRA CREDIT is important, and she gives so much it saved my grade!!! She is caring, and wants to help her students pass & understand the material. If you want a good GPA take her class. She doesn't like to see her students fail.
Ms D, as we call her is a wonderful person. With that being sad the class itself is not wonderful like she is. It's a rough class. Be prepared to study, study and study. She offers lots of office hours, but they are often over crowded and if lucky you'll get 10-15 minutes of her time over the coursE of an hour.
If you struggle with math, DO NOT TAKE HER! Don't even think about it. Very disorganized, if you want help she'll tell you to go to her office hours and sometimes is hard if you have other classes, or work. Gives a lot of random extra credit, but still, if you don't do well on the tests you'll fail.
4696 (8 wk) miss D is amazing I am horrible at math and really enjoyed her teaching style. She is an outside the box thinker and is flexible with her teaching style. Has a ton of office hours to help students. Is very passionate about math and wants her students to pass. She is sometimes all over the place but is the only negative about her class
Having Ms. D as a professor was an honor, she is by far one of the best professors on campus HANDS DOWN! Her teaching style is different from others & sure knows how to keep you interested in the subject. Inclusively this was my second time taking 46 and I was able to pass it, thanks to her AMAZING teaching skills. Thanks Ms. D!
Fun class, she did her best to help anyone who asked.
Excellent teacher. Don't know what else to say besides just take her. Probably the fairest math teacher ive had regarding grading. The first A I've ever received in my life in math. If you miss a negative here or there for example, she'll only take a half-point off, maybe even let it slide with a warning. Ive learned so much. Really Compassionate.
Damoose, is a great teacher, she can teach! there aren't a lot professors, like her. She try to work with all her students, and make sure you're engaged in her class. I will recommend her to anyone who struggle with math.
She is a very sweet lady, however the way she teaches is a little questionable at times. She's a good teacher but sometimes she tries too hard to make a metaphor of what she's teaching to help you understand better, and it ends up backfiring. She uses a lot of her own terms, and they can be quite confusing at times.
Damoose is incredible. I'm actually enjoying math, even though I suck at it. She cares so much about her students succeeding/learning- she makes herself available after class (sometimes even on the weekend), she's flexible with homework/tests if the pace is going too quickly, her lectures are organized and interesting. She's super sweet, honestly.
Non- graded home work except on test days. She will grade your folder to make sure you did the homework assignments so organization and note-taking is key I did enjoy the times when she explained something so well, however, there were a few times when I had no clue what she was talking about. But she always made a spectacular effort to explain it.
Professor Damoose is the best lower level math teacher I have ever had. I've taken her for two semesters, 46 and 96, and she really cares about her students learning the material and also is very flexible with how she grades. She can seem overwhelming at first but if you can get past that she is well worth it.
I understand math can be a challenging , but this isnt a class for everyone. Her lectures are scattered everywhere, does not tell you what to study for the exam, gives you alot of extra credit. She expects you to know already some of the math concepts. Its not highschool, but it would be better if we practice more of the material.
I am the type of student that has always struggled and hated math! I would say Professor Damoose has been the best math teacher I have ever had, her way of explaining really helped me understand, she makes it seem easy! She has been my first professor who has giving me an A, used to getting very low grades. REALLY RECOMMEND HER!
Super caring and shows compassion toward her students! Shes pretty energetic which makes it easier to follow lectures but she definitely gets distracted. Shes also pretty unorganized but if you have questions on anything shell explain it to you as best as she can
Professor Damoose is sweet and caring, but she is also scattered and all over the place. She tries to relate her students to the problem but ends up wasting time and making no sense. She means well but she can be hard to comprehend.
WHAT A MESS! You can tell that Professor Damoose does love her job and care about her students but this class is definitely not for everyone. Her teaching style is very confusing and her lectures are disorganized and she overcomplicates the material. If you like a clear and straightforward teaching style then this class is not for you!
In the middle of lecture she would ramble off and make examples that would not make sense. However she would say This might seem difficult now but trust me, itll be easier later which is very challenging if math is not your subject. When asked to clarify lessons she would just say for you to attend her tutoring hours.
Took her 46 and passed w/ a B. I wasn't a fan of how she teached her class, but I was comfortable with her so I took 96. Passed with a C. She is really disorganized and goes off topic a lot. You have to teach yourself sometimes. Test can be heavy. If you can handle her disorganized way of teaching, go for it. But I would not take her again.
Damoose is a thoughtful/passionate Professor who cares about her students. Her teaching method, attention to detail and to each student, makes for a great learning environment. I never missed a class, did all of the homework, asked questions, passed all of the tests, and received an A in the class. I highly recommend this Professor!
Ms. Damoose is passionate about teaching, she has a great sense of humor, and does her best to help us succeed. If you still dont get the material, I highly recommend taking advantage of office hours. She encourages students to work together. She gives out reviews prior to the test and provides additional resources that may pertain to them.
Professor Damoose will transform your relationship with math, her approach is efficient and easy to follow. Highly recommend office hours and participating in class.
I would definitely take this class again ! She really does care for her students and makes sure they succeed in the course! She would help you out as long you put in the effort !!! Such a caring and understanding person I wish more professors would be like her ! She genuinely deserves the best !!! (:
If you like things taught with organization stay away from this professor, she's really unorganized. She does care about her students though and encourages you to go to office hours, so make sure you go if you do take her class.
She usually starts the day with I am sick or had too much coffee. Very unorganized teaching style, she would mover around writing on 3 different board, working on multiple problems at the same time and often times don't even bother to finish the problems in the lectures or skip steps and say nothing about it. Not a very good teacher. Nice? Yes.
As much as people find Math a tough subject, I believe that Damoose is not a good teacher to teach math. She often tends to get off subject, scattered lesson plans before the exam. When it comes to questions she often tells you to talk to your partner rather than explain it in class. She is nice and offers a lot of extra credit. I wouldn't recomend
This was the first math class I have taken in over ten years. It requires a lot of time if you are in the 46/96 in 16 weeks. Luckily, Damoose was available everyday after class for office hours which was a huge help. Damoose did a really good job preparing me for math 116. Math is a hard subject to teach but she made it fun.
Took her Math 46&96 class. All over the place at times. Unless you are a math savant, either go to her office hour or seek out other tutoring. A lot covered in this class and she is either really fast on some topics and slow in others. She is committed to helping outside of class, but the issue for me is organization and sporadic teaching style.
The worst professor that I have ever had at Mesa! She was very unorganized and didn't have a good style of teaching. When writing examples on the board she couldn't even solve them correctly and couldn't answer questions without saying "umm" first. She never graded my homework because she "didn't have enough time" which caused me to drop.
She is definitely one of my favorite professors at Mesa. She makes sure that the students are learning and understanding the material. Very recommended for students that want to learn.
Do not recommend at all! Shes a horrible professor doesnt know how to teach, rambles off easily and if you stay for office hours she doesnt help or will come up to you and go to someone else without explaining anything. Shes extremely unorganized.
She is definitely a little out there but she is great. I think she is really accessible outside of class and really wants students to understand the material. She's very entertaining and funny... I feel like I learned a lot. Too bad she got injured the last couple of weeks of class. Feel better Prof D!
Professor Damoose was hand down the kindest and best professor I have ever had. I took her 46/96 split semester class 2 years ago and even taking those classes at an accelerated rate prepared me for the math that I had ahead of me. I am in Calc 3 now and she regularly checks in on me and the progress I am making. #Damoose4L
I really enjoyed taking her class. She is the most caring professor I have came across and she will help you in any way possible. She gives lots of bonuses and extra credit which is nice. I also like that she let's students go to the board in groups to work on problems. And during the final she's there to answer questions on the final test.
worst professor ive ever had it was almost comical how bad she was. shes a very nice and caring person but math wise not a single chance. shes all over the place i barely passed like skim of my teeth. dont take it ever ! :)
Very nice person. She is very interested in helping if you have any doubts and is on top of you pushing to do your best. She kinda is all over the place though, she gets very excited about math and sometimes gets off topic.
This woman is definitely a little out there but she genuinely wants students to pass. She has office hours right after class and will stay until the night time to help you understand. Yes, she is unorganized but I think it's because she devotes so much time for the students. I really liked Alison and admire her for her passion to teach.
One thing I really appreciate about Ms. Damoose is her care for students and how she is willing to help everyone. She has many opportunities for extra credit and makes sure that we are understanding the material. A 10/10!
Luckily, I took her class despite the reviews. At first, others comments made me nervous and affected my perception of the professor. After taking her class, I know she is an awesome, understanding and funny professor. Her lessons will be well-prepared for my next math classes. I have not studied Math for 4 years, but she helped me ace the class.
Shes amazing, she wants you to learn. Certain way of teaching that makes you understand ways of solving the problem. Follow her notes for hw. Gives partial credit, extra credit and she may scrub out the worst test grade. Youre in good hands with her if math isnt your thing. Wish she taught higher math courses. Oh and dont skip class.
I am really into the professor and her class. I found her supportive, outgoing, and knowledgeable. She made sure that I comprehended the math problems, so she always tried her best to answer all my questions (inside and outside the class). She also provided me with a free online textbook and several helpful handouts. Best professor ever!!!
Funny professor and she really tries to get everyone engaged. I really liked her personality and she cares about you and your grade. Very open in office hours in case you need help!
She's a nice teacher and all, but she has no lesson plan. She puts random problems on the board and goes from there. If we had questions about the homework or web assign, she wouldn't get to cover those problems. She'll cross things out or answers would be wrong in study guides. I was able to learn but she's a little disorganized.
Alison Damoose is the GOAT. Definitely take her. She is always willing to help if you just ask and put in the effort. Class was a pretty easy A as long as you show up and pay attention. If you still need help she has office hours practically every day which serve as group studies/ 1 on 1's. She's also awesome enough to answer HW ?'s over remind app
Professor Damoose is such a kind soul and wants you to pass. I have never had a professor with so many office hours for students to come and ask her question. She is a bit disorganized but I think she just has a lot going on. But I really liked her class and I am not good at math.
Professor Alison has a passion for what she teaches but IS ZERO ORGANIZED! Does not go by the syllabus and changes lesson plans on the daily. Overall it's an easy class so if you are not good at math I'd recommend taking it but if you need this class to advance to a higher math class CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE!
Really nice person and passionate about what she teaches... BUT IS NOT ORGANIZED AT ALL!
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! She likes to be more of a friend than actually teaching. She is always all over the place, no organization at all. Would rather you learn from your peers than teach you. Tries to make math cute... BUT AGAIN DOES NOT TEACH.
this is the best math teacher I have ever had I loved her class so much! I would really very much rekomend her as your teacher she is very helpful and really cares and I learned so much math! I didnt like math but now it isnt so bad! Thank you miss D if you ever read this!
I loved the class
Miss. Damoose was the best professor I have ever had I was never good at math and never liked it but she made it not so bad. She will really take the time to make sure you understand it and is very helpful! At times class can feel disorganized but she will work with you to help which is something most professors won't do.
Her teaching style is very unique but she is overall a great professor. She is understanding about your situation and she is very accessible after class if you need extra help. I really liked her class and appreciated her commitment for students.
FIRST OF ALL this lady is clearly from another planet cause her personality is cookoo. This actually works towards her favor cause she makes the class entertaining and funny. She gives lots of examples and gives a TON of extra credit which is helpful for people like me who arent great at math. Crazy woman but I actually kinda like her and her style
She is very intelligent and caring. She teaches math with concepts and really cares for her students. She does give plentyyyyyyyyyyyyy of homework, but it pays off. Not many professors teach math conceptually, I wish more professors could teach math like her.
She wasnt there for finals, she gets out of topic, dont do zoom with her because its a waste of time.
Very disorganized professor focuses on other things rather than teaching and very hard to understand her lectures. She is all over the place and I had to drop her class because of how distracting it was. I definitely do not recommend this professor if you struggle with math.
Prof D. was an amazing teacher and very understanding that life happens during classes. This class was online for me and yes there is a lot of work, but she always looks out for the students best interest. I advise all active duty to take her class. Tough grader? No. Extra credit? Yes. Also, just communicate everything to her and you will make it!
Professor Damoose is one of the best professors I have ever had. She genuinely cares about her students well-being. 1. She genuinely wants you to learn math. She makes herself available to students, is responsive, and encourages you to keep trying until you get things right. 2. She is very caring, accommodating, and kind. UNDERSTANDING!
Beyond disorganized. Professor will make you submit homework in multiple different websites, rarely uses canvas to track grades, homework, tests, etc. An unbelievable amount of homework is given weekly. You're supposed to submit a screenshot working with someone else, as if there weren't working adults with different schedules taking this class.
The class was super stacked and felt rushed. Most of the videos are from youtube. I along with other class mates struggled.
Extremely unorganized Professor. Took her online class and from start to finish, the experience was a nightmare. It felt like a never-ending cycle of assignments with no guidance.
She is very unorganized, a lot of homework, hard tests. DO NOT TAKE HER.
Don't take this class. She is a very tough grader.
I read all of these comments thinking she was a decent professor but she respectfully might be the worst, most unorganized, and difficult professor I've ever had. She does get back to you messages fairly quickly but the class is very unorganized. She does not teach at all it's all self-taught which is difficult. Makes you show work on all the tests
All material is self-taught, and makes you show work in exams. Videos are dated (not even her in them), and sometimes are in wrong order/repeated from a past topic. Likes to talk about AI and even has a part in tests dedicated to using an AI. Makes you sign up for a ton of sites only to use them once (Remind, ChatGPT, AI Tutor Pro, Latimer, etc.).
Very caring. She can be very paranoid about cheating and is really particular about it. The questions aren't hard and the exams are given with a pre-test to help. The pre-test is extremely similar to the exam. Exams are timed at 2.5 hours. likes doing some projects with AI that aren't super related to answering math questions. Super accessible too
