This is one of the very few, she is one ofthe bestteachers!attend class everyday, do notfall behind. You will learn micro and be exposed to great bacteria, she is patient to explain the different ones, her lectures actually relate to her exams but you do need to study as well. Sheis funny and nice!

She is a great teacher but you do have to study to pass. Makes learning about bacteria fun. Very down to earth. She is also very fair. If you don't study you won't pass, but sudying for this class isn't hard. She does give chances to get extra credit. Extra credit really helps.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Ms. Davis! Take her & give thanks! I was in tears over this subject after having to drop it from a diff. school due to a Horrible teacher. I was scared I would never pass(Beware of Dr. Buchannan @ SMC)& then Ms Davis was so fun, I got an "A"! Seriously, you guys need to take her & be grateful! She changed my whole outlook on Micro.

Getting into her class is almost impossible!!! It is always FULL. She's a Fun,nice and very cool teacher. I was scared to take it at first but it's no worry. Just take notes and don't miss class and u will do good on her tests. Lab is fun and interesting. She's a great teacher! She adds people by Lottery when her class is full. I got lucky.

Her lec. is interesting, i took notes of her words and board. Her tests are from hell because there those logical tests. Lots of EC, i thought I was in the D zone but I was like high C low B with all the EC. She allows 65& as a C as other teachers say its 70% Best for Bio - make plenty friends. She I think was a crazy party girl in her days!!!

This class was moderately easy. Very possible to get "A" in her class, but you need to put some time to study tough.

Ms. Davis is so darn cool. Not only one of the coolest prof, but one of the coolest people you'll ever meet. I friggin love her! I learned so much from her class, and all the material I learned was very pertinent to the profession I want to enter. A Straightfoward, fun, and knowledgeable prof! I had MS. Davis as my lab instructor for Winter 07 Helen was my lecture professor. The combination of these two women is phenominal, they are both superb teachers. Ms. Davis is very helpful in lab and she has humor. She answers all questions and without attitude. She is down to earth and approachable. You will learn pertinent info. TAKE HER!

SHE DOES NOT LIKE TO REPEAT HERSELF, HOWEVER,SHE DOES GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO PICK UP BONUS POINTS FOR A BETTER GRADE. THE TESTS ARE HARD, AND YOU NEED TO STUDY ALOT, BECAUSE SHE MOVES THE QUESTIONS IN A TRICKY WAY. SHE IS A VERY, VERY NICE PERSON AND HER LECTURES ARE CLEAR AND FUN.

She is easy. She gives out so many extra credit points, which can potentially cover over two exam grade. Her exams are not hard, mostly from her lecture notes. If you read the notes twice before exam, you will have no problem passing it. If you put a little bit more effort on the class, it is an easy A. Her lectures are very funny too. Recommend!

Ms. Davis is an awesome instructor. She knows her stuff, and always makes sure you know it. She gives a lot of extra credit, but you shouldn't slack off. I would take her again.

When it comes to Microbiology Ms. Davis is like "The great big book of everything!" She'll totally help you, if you ask! I know that she looks a little scary and sweats a lot but she will not bite you. Absolutely everything shge puts on the board is on the exams, and review all the study guides she provides. You can't fail her class!! Study Study!!

Ms.Davis is smart, nice, HOT, and very professional. She is always willing to help and doesnt make you feel stupid. She lectures great and covers everything on the micro book! She is the deparment head of the life sciences department and she is the best. I took the class during the last part of the TRIFECTA and it was a struggle, but well worth it since it was only 5 weeks. Her tests are based on lectures and the lab is easy. Take good notes and draw many pictures in your lab book! Don't forget to ask questions for help

Her notes are short and straight to the point.So,I recommend reading over some of the details from the book/internet to fully understand her lectures, her tests are kinda tricky, she words her tests different from her lectures. She does not use the text book!Over all,she makes Micro fun. She gives extra credit. Anyone can pass her class with an A.

This class can be easily passed with an A. No doubt, you will have to put forth effort, but it's definitely not hard. She's very easy to understand and makes microbiology very interesting.

I took her class during the summer and easily passed with an A. The book is not required because the notes cover almost everything on the test. She gives plenty of extra credit opportunities and if you have perfect attendance, you can drop your lowest test for an A.

Ms. Davis she an awesome professor! She's a fair grader gives lots of extra credit, so there's no reason why not to get an A in this class. She's also very helpful and easy to talk to.Study and dedicate time to this class and you will do great! I myself got an A not easy for a 5wk class starting at 7 am, but totally do-able.No need to buy the txt book only lab manual. Attend every lab meeting, take good notes, and study.

She is a fair grader and offers lots of extra credit. She really knows her material. Don't be late, don't ask stupid questions, and clean your microscopes. Her tests are challenging but not difficult. I took the 5 week version during Trifecta. You don't need the book, just get the lab manual

She is a very balanced teacher. You will have to work and study, but not obsessively. Take good notes (and/or record her lectures) and ask for clarification when you need it. Tests are based on lecture (not the book). Sometimes she is absent or late. Start your lab journal early, follow her microscope rules & do all the offered xcredit. RECOMMEND!

Take her for micro 20 class. you won't regret. if full, its ok she takes in ALOT of students prob around 30 more. no joke!! just go to lectures n don't be lazy. u must be stupid if u don't have an A in this class. she gives out abt 75 extra credit points. no joke again. 4 lecture tests, 3 lab quiz, 2 lab tests all EASY. good luck!

She's really straight forward as some people have mentioned. Attendance is what she really likes to focus on & will reward you if you attend every single day. It's worth it & her class you actually wouldnt mind attending everyday. I wish all professors was like her. I would take her again & again. She was a good professor.

Amazing teacher in the entire world. She really cares about her students. She gives so much extra credit. She is willing to work with you just make sure you are always on time. Attendance is extremely important b/c it's worth 100 points. I learned so much in her class. I wish and pray there can be more professor like her who are willing to help us

Aside from taking in a substantial number of students (72 for this particular class) and the lab facility being small in size, Professor Davis did a good job in presenting the material. Another concern was that the lectures seemed rushed and generally just summarized the material in the book with broad brush strokes without going into finer detail.

EASY CLASS! I'm not too sure if I learned anything. She doesn't go in depth. I got over a 100% and I didn't even do all of the extra credit. Labs are fun.

Super easy class with very little studying required as the quizzes and tests were right out of the lecture notes. The instructor cancelled four days of lectures and there were two holidays and the final was a take-home report. The labs were crowded but very easy and she was extremely lenient with the grading but she does take attendance for the A.

Exams are based off lecture. Perfect attendence=dropping lowest test score. Seriously drop out of ELAC if you can't get an A. Study, listen, do the EC, and you're good PROMISE.

Such an easy class to pass with an A or B as long as you study her notes. One thing though, her notes are not complete, there just a guide of what to focus on. never the less take her, its a fun class and she's very funny.. oh and attend every lecture because attendance counts big time!!!

I just took her and shes great. Its a real easy class especially since she gets right to the point of what she wants. The easiest A i've ever gotten in life. Review her lectures, no need for lab or textbook. IF anything, tests were the "hardest" part of this class, but she made even that straightforward and gave ex credit. The lecture tests are easy, extra credit is always offered to boost up your grade. Lecture exams are based on her lectures so take good notes and record the lecture if you have to. The only thing I found difficult was the lab midterms, make sure you know what each bacteria looks like and that you know how to perform each test to identify it.

I loved this class! She was so awesome. Labs were my favorite. I didn't buy the lecture or lab book. Show up, take notes, study! know what each bacteria looks like, & memorize each staining technique. Oh & do not cheat!

Allison Davis is a awesome teacher because, she tells what's going to be on the exam. Also, she tells you to focus on the main this on study guide and gives a lot of extra so beware of that, and take advantage of it. In addition, her labs quizzes she basically gives the answers so study them. overall, any nursing students should take her.

Professor Davis is an amazing choice. Her labs are spot on and she will do a step by step example to show you how it's done. Lecture is nobody's favorite part in any science course, but her lectures have an emphasis on clarity and she avoids overly complex vocabulary. This class doesn't feel like an obligation, at all. This is the class you are looking for bio 003. Just go in class and sit and listen to her lecture write whatever she writes on the board. When exam day comes she will give out study guides. Answer all the question and studying them over and over again. If you studied then you'll pass you exams and final. By studying I mean remember. Go with her!

davis is an outstanding professor she really is great at what she does. very informative and helpful, she really got me to understand the basic components of biology with her lectures and labs. the tests were fairly easy basically everything we covered in class.

I just took Professor Davis's Microbiology class this fall and I really loved it and learned a lot. We has two tests (50 true/ false q and multiple choice with extra credit, one quiz,a final and lab work. I got 25 points extra credit for buying food for the homeless. Prof Davis is very fair with all her students. Easy A if you put in some work.

She truly cares for students if you have questions she does not mind to help. One of the best micro professor I had for this spring semester for a semi-fast pace science class (7th week term). I highly suggest taking notes on the lecture slides and lab videos too. The material is very straight forward. Revisit the lab videos to review for your lab final. Do the study guide. The study guide will be the same as your final lab.

Professor Davis is an amazing professor who cares deeply for all her students. She wants everyone to learn the material and not simply memorize it. Her class is asynchronous but she provides her own notes. She gives multiple tries for all her quizzes/exams. Her labs are also very well explained. Take her, you won't regret it.

Took the lecture section with professor Belt and the lab section with professor Davis. Both in-person. Davis doesn't require much which is super nice of her. Our lab midterms were worth 100 points for five easy questions. She told us if it was up to her she would make the lab grade count as 50% of the total grade. Yay!!

Professor Davis teaches in a way where you can focus on learning and retaining information rather than spend the entire semester toiling for a good grade. She prepares pre-nursing students by providing nclex style q's on her exams. "Hardest" part of the course was the midterm but she herself said no one in her teaching career has got less than 75.

Took this class during Fall. There was a quiz online every week (not proctored). There was no homework or discussion or anything, just one quiz a week through Canvas. She posts useful material for both lecture and lab. I wish she taught physio as well

The best professor you would EVER take! It is literally impossible to fail this class. The only homework we have is a lab quiz and a test every week which is super easy. As long as you read her slides or watch her lab videos before class and go to lab, you'll get an A. Enroll ASAP because her class fills up quick!!!

Best Micro and easiest professor ever, her lab board notes very important, very nice and helpful lady, only thing you need to do is write down the notes carefully(Will grade notes the end). Her class was filled up very quickly, so due to the lab seats limited that she can not add that many students from waiting-list, pls make sure enroll asap!
