her lectures need some more pizaaz, but i she is really talented at writing and can look for important details in your english papers. i reccommed that you go to her office hours b/c she gives a lot of feedback

It does not matter whether you could get an A or a B from this teacher, because she is very helpful and you would learn a lot from her.

super nice. really easy. only had to write a couple essays. the essays were only a couple pages. little reading. fun time.

This is a very easy course. She only gives 4 papers to write, and two of them are in class essays. The lectures aren't the most exciting, but english doesn't appeal to me very much. I suggest this teacher to anyone who isn't too interested in english and wants a very good teacher.

she was ok but if u get a 2 D's on your essays.....you automatically do not pass the course. Even if u calculate your grade and get a C, u still do not pass.

I learned so much from Ms. Kuehner in 101A that I decided to take 101C from her as well. Write the daily assignements and participate and you stand to learn quite a bit. Take classes early on - your improved writing skills will help you in all your other classes!

class was offered on-line and was anything but "easy", professor kuehner was clear about the assignments, though they were plenty (1 essay weekly), and she encouraged class to respond to other students' entries. must stay current with reading and submitting essays and you'll do well.

Shes really nice but she teaches like a kindergarden teacher. Puts you in groups and gives you a check, check plus or check minus on hw. Its so easy its pathetic

Took her online class. A lot of reading and weekly topic postings. If you post something every week you will be fine. Essays are easy but have her look them over and she will help you with your topic sentences. If you don't do your work, you won't pass. If you fail the midterm you fail the class.

Great online class! Just do your weekly reading and write a short paragraph as homework. Not too difficult. She grades more on effort than content of your weekly postings, which is sort of nice. Her essays are a little tough, but she's really helpful if you ask for help! Definitely a great online class!

Great Online class! She is a very helpful and excellent instructor. Textbook was well-chosen. Class content was well organized and presented. Feedback was very timely and helpful. She gave every student detail response for every discussion or assignment. Communication was particularly great, she replied student emails in a timely manner! Great!

She is a dedicated and nice teacher. I ever met a real bad English teacher and learned nothing for writing last year. I know she is good. Sometimes she praised too much in her comments which could mislead students to ignore their shortage. I believe she will realize that and do better. Overall, she is excellent and can really teach you writing.

Graded reasonably, some students got 100% grade, some got 60%, just because they presented different works. She detected any grammatical errors in student essays.

She's one of the nicest teachers I've ever taken. I'm not going to lie, she does grade hard on your papers. However, she allows you to revise them for a better grade. She actually cares about your progress in this class. Be prepared to recieve an load of handouts every class period. She is the handout queen. I highly recommend her.

She's not as bad as people keep saying. if you ask for help she will help you. This is college, she's not going to hold your hand, you have to make the effort to get a good grade in her class. If you're a slacker, this is not the teacher for you

hard teacher. she is kind of helpful but grades extremely hard. i spent about 20 hours in average per week to study this class but thanks to her i still got a C. run away if you need a good grade in English..

She does grade pretty hard, but if you actually pay attention in class she gives you the necessary tools to do well. She also really cares about your grade. If you aren't doing well on your papers, just talk to her about it and she'll most likely let you revise them.

*online course* Teacher give clear expectations and fairly easy assignments. Always responds to every student's posts and give full credit automatically for all assignments on time (besides essays of course). The feedback on grammer and grades recieved on essays were fair. She does tutoring in language center also. Great teacher, highly recommended

If u are going to take english 163, its so easy!its a breeze thru the semester!there are 4 tests that are e z A's!there is reading lab, and there is hw which is worth 5% of ur greade.i dont suggest 101abc bc shes really hard.so dont take her4 those.but take her for eng163! shes super nice too!she explains things really good. =]

Ms. Kuehner is a really nice teacher. Before taking her class I always get her help during in the english learning center. This class wasn't easy to get an A, but if you work hard and write what she looks for, you will be fine. And mostly, you will improve! :)

I've had a few classes with prof. kuehner, and i have to say i like her a lot. she's nice and extremely helpful. if you have questions, she gets back to you right away and does her best to point you in the right direction towards a better paper. there's hw assignments to ensure we do our readings. she's willing to help her students succeed. :)

Mrs. Kuehner is by far my favorite english teacher I've had in Ohlone. Her class is super easy. If you go to class and get your assignments done then you're good to go. There's a lot of reading/writing/ and 3 presentations but it's easy in my opinion if you just focus. If you're thinking of going into eng101b pick her!

Ms. Kuehner is such a great teacher! she is extreamly nice and actually tries to keep class interesting by having students act out stories and so on.She gave me more of a challenge than most English teachers I have had but I am happy she did, because I know i really improved in my writing.

VERY NICE LADY. She will answer all of your questions, email or in person. She grades hard because she wants you to dig deeeeeeeep into the reading material. A LOT of group work. 4 essays, no quizzes. I highly recommend

Professor Kuehner is a great English teacher. She is always willing to help, gives great feedback on essays, and is very organized. She gives a lot of readings, but they will be used to write assigned essays. She is also very specific with instructions. Sends emails of hw/due dates. Makes you work for your grade. I honestly do not understand why she's getting such terrible reviews! I'm glad I never searched her up before registering they would have scared me away. Over all a very helpful teacher. While the professor may be nice, I feel as if this class is much harder than it should be. This is a newer class, and I don't recommend taking it with Kuehner, she's tough. Nice lady, but though on the grading and assigns a good amount of reading and writing. Expect to be spending a lot of time for this class, it's 5 units and tough with her.

Her 151RW class is really hard, it's not easy, on top of that she is a hard grader. I do not recommend taking this professor for this class, she's tough. There is a lot of reading and writing involved within the class and it's a lot of work, don't expect it to be easy. You are basically taking 2 classes into 1 class, it'as tough. Consider this.

Although there is a lot of readings but it's there to help you become a better writer and be prepared for English101A. She also gives you plenty of time to work on your essay in class and splits your essay's due dates by introduction, body paragraphs, and final draft. Would not recommend if you just want to get an easy A, gotta work for it!!

I took Professor Kuehner for English 101B (online) and she's honestly one of the best. Her class was so organized. She grades assignments quickly and gives good feedback on everything. I would definitely recommend her. She does grade a bit tough but she really wants you to learn and do well.

Amazing teacher! You will have some homework but it's very helpful to do your essay. She is helpful, caring, gives really helpful feedbacks. I loved her class. Just do your homework, come to class and participate that you will not have problems at all to get a good grade. I definitely recommend her. (Too sad that she doesn't teach 101A)

She is awesome. If you really want to learn how to read and write, take her 151RW class. She is so organized and plans for every minute of her calss. She is inspirational and always encourage students to improve.

This was one of the best English classes I have ever taken. She is well organized and uses all the online tools to make your life easy. She was available for help on all the essays. Dont listen to the negative reviews all you have to do is do the work and you will do great. Would definitely take again!

I really enjoyed taking her online Women in literature class. She was incredibly organized, and her expectations for everything were always clear. She gave detailed feedback within days of submitting assignments, and all the readings for the semester were really interesting. Essays are easy if you can write a good essay. Ended the class with a 98.

I took her for 101B and loved it. It's great online course because her material is so organized and you can easily schedule it. There is four units with 1000 word essays on short stories, drama, poems, and a novel. Each discussion helps build skills and preps you for the essay. She grades quickly with good feedback.

I took her for 101c and shes really a nice teacher. If you need help just reach out to her and she will help you out. You do have to go to every zoom meeting because participation matters and itll ad up towards the end of class. Just enjoy the class because shes really helped improved my writing!

Mrs Kuehner is the best English Professor in Ohlone college. She is nice and pay attention to her students. She is easy grader and she always give full credit for homework assignment. I took her asynchronous class and she is very very accommodating. You cannot pass without completing the work but Professor Kuehner assigns everything well in advance and grades in a very timely manner. Putting in a decent amount of effort will most definitely get you an A.

Professor Kuehner is a very understanding and accommodating professor. Created an interactive classroom environment where we discussed the literature. Grades are mostly based on the essays however the lowest scored one is ignored. Good class for sharpening your writing skills!

Professor Kuehner is a chill and (very) patient instructor, always smiling while delivering enjoyable lectures. Writing papers are not stressful as the professor guides and gently pushes you through each paper, sources included. There are also discussions posts for you and your classmates to talk about the papers.

I definitely recommend taking Professor Kuehner. Though you have to write quite a few essays, she gives lectures that provide you tips to improve your writing. There are also discussion posts where you can give and receive feedback from your classmates. She truly cares for her students and wants them to succeed, 10/10 would recommend! :)

Tough grader and assigns a lot of work! But very understanding and lets you resubmit your essays for a better grade. Just make sure to attend her office hours to get clear feedback.

Offers success opportunities (late pass, opt out of one paper, active during/outside class for help). Great for better writing skills. Truly cares about students' success.

Professor Kuehner is sweet and kind. Although she is a tough grader but you can resubmit your essay if you are unsatisfied with your grades. And you can meet with her before or after class to discuss the essay, and she gives great feedback. She tries her best to make her class interesting and is open to any feedback.

Easygoing, adaptable teacher. Just be on top of your assignments and be sufficient in writing essays and she gives an easy A. I only have a B because I did not do all the assignments, but did very well on the papers.

This course requires a textbook. She is very friendly and cares about students. However, she grades strictly and her homework is hard. You have to work a lot to get an A, not insanely a lot but it is definitely not very easy. This course also has a lot of group discussions which could be problematic since most people have different ENGL skills.

dont trust some of these ratings. Must've been ppl who didnt care for the class at all. She's such a caring prof grading is more than fair AND you can revise papers for new grade. She is one of the most professional, lovely, and clearly intelligent professors I've ever come across at Ohlone. She really knows her stuff, so she does demand good work from her students as well, but she is also always there to help out and offer feedback to help you improve as well. You can tell she loves literature through everything she does.

Professor Kuehner was brilliant. Ive never met such a passionate professor. She taught with excitement! It was so fascinating, I took 3 courses with her. She really gives you a chance to explain your situations, and takes your analysis to another level! The class was interactive, and lectures were fantastic! Wish she taught more courses.

I love her and her classes. I've completed 3 of her classes so far. She values creating strong writers so if you are not an English major and don't care about developing your writing skills I don't think she is the professor for you. I completely understand why people think she's a hard grader because she is but she made me a better writer.

this rating confuses me since Prof.K is just the best! You have to write papers ofc it's an English class…she lets u rewrite after she grades and will work with you on it. You have many opportunities. Her classes are so much fun and so good to make friends. She's so kind trust me. I've had 3 AMAZING English profs at Ohlone - She's my fav tho.
