She is definitely one of my favourite profs at Kings. She is willing to help her students in any way that she possibly can. She is very approachable and her lectures are awesome. She expects you to work for your grade, but what *good* prof doesn't?

K yes she did speak fast but it only made her lectures all the more exciting. She also repeated important facts and always provided wonderful explainations. She is a good lecturer and her vitality is what made history enjoyable for me.

PROF.MEEK IS AN AMAZING PROFESSOR.SHE IS A QUICK LECTURER, BUT STARTS OFF EVERY CLASS ASKING IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS. SHOWS HER INTEREST IN THE MATERIAL WHICH MAKES THE LECTURE ALL THE MORE BETTER.. WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS COURSE ONCE SHE GETS HER TEN YEAR!

Amazing professor! Her lectures are so interesting which makes you learn the material as soon as you've heard it. Very fair marker, she'll even take sympathy on you if you lose your voice during a seminar. I recommend any of her classes, they are the only ones I actually look forward to going to.

I think the general consensus is probably that Prof. Meek should have TENURE. She doesn't, which is a shame. Hopefully King's doesn't lose her.

Professor Meek inspired me to focus in American history, and kept me enthusiastic through my four years in history. She's intelligent, approachable, fun and sincerely the best professor I had. I know she'll read this - thanks for a great four years!

Wow, I love her. She so smart, and so into her work. Shes really approchable, and kinda hot. She marks everything really fast, and fairly too. Going to her class was always exciting. She might talk fast, but thats cause shes got so much interesting stuff to tell us. my fav course to date.

Had a great year with her! Her excitement in lecturing the information is what kept us all interested and able to learn so well. I'd definitley reccommend her and hope to have her again someday.

Prof Meek is amazing. Shes approchable, kind, very intelligent and incredibly interested in the materical. She is also an incredibly sexy, beautiful woman and the more you see of her the more beautiful she is. Her personality makes he very actractive.

I have never had a prof as interesting and excited about her subjet as Prof. Meek! She is so enthusiastic and makes you want to learn! She is also very fast at returning essays! She is amazing. For anyone out there who is looking for a Prof that really knows what she is talking about it is Prof. Meek. Amazing prof, totally knows her stuff! Meek gets really into the lectures and sometimes is hard to follow but she is a great story telling, totally understanding and a fair marker. Great class!

Sounds like there's one disgruntled student out there. She *does* care about students *and* their education and realizes that they have a lot stresses in their lives. Yup, the workload isn't as big as other 4th year classes but you can't say you aren't learning. Maybe you're just p.o.'d at her for some reason?

I have had her for 4 classes now and find her lectures and seminars absolutely interesting and relevant. Her classes are interesting and she is incredibly fair as a teacher.

I've had Meek twice and she's one of my favourite profs... she's nice and isn't the hardest marker, but she's the one who made me really interested in American History because with her it wasn't just facts and dates... she tells stories and it keeps things fun and fresh. She knows her stuff and you can tell she loves it.

Simply the best. Every student who has her, loves her. She understands the problems that undergrads have and inspires all of us to be our best.

awsome class. If you don't do well in it, it is your own fault. Clear outlines are given for exams and she lays out the questions you need to answer for book reviews. Lectures are vrystal clear and Dr. Meek knows her stuff, makes it intersting and entertaing!!!

I have had Meek 3 times. She is the best lecturer I have ever had and she is more than fair with her marking. Best American History Prof at UWO hands down. Clearly states what is expected from papers and tests through specific outlines. You will enjoy the classes and learn alot.

The most incredible prof I have ever had. She genuinely cares for her students. As a teacher now, I try to emulate her in the classroom.

Meek is absolutely a genius! Her passion for what she teaches shines and impacts the students as well. She is somewhat hard at marking, but her specific lectures and outlines are helpful to do well. She's very approachable.

Professor Meek is an amazing prof! She makes class very interesting and fun to be in. When I had to miss a class due to sickness, I would have a feeling of regret because I know I missed an awesome class. She is so helpful with exam prep and tells you exactly what she expects. As such, I did so well in her class! Take her class FOR SURE!!

meek is an amazing prof. she is a fair marker, and provides a study guide for her exams. she does not post online notes, so you must attend class and take good notes to do well. I will try to take classes with her in the future. Favorite prof so far at UWO.

Prof. Meek is the most amazing professor I've ever had! She gives you study guides for her exams and offers help all the time in order for her students to get a good mark! I took her History of Conspiracy Theories class and it was the best class I've ever taken! I highly recommend taking one of her classes because she is the best!

Prof Meek is great. Classes are always interesting and she is always there to help her students. Tough marker at times but I am just an average student here so believe me, put in the time and effort and you will be rewarded with appropriate marks. I took a class with her in 2nd year got a 60 then 3rd year new class, put effort and got a 75.

Professor Meek is absolutely incredible! She is readily available to meet with students and genuinely cares about your success as long as you put the effort in! Definitely will be looking to take one of her classes again.

Passionate about her subject, always willing to help students, makes the subject matter interesting, I was not excited for American history but she made it my favorite course of the year.

She loves what she does, and gets so excited to teach you everything she knows about the topic. She hates textbook costs too, so don't worry about any weekly readings, besides the occasional seminar.

Dr. Meek is an amazing professor. 2133 is by far the most interesting class I have taken in university so far. Great lecturer, interesting material, and delivered at an efficient pace.

This Professor is fantastic. She is on point in her lectures and her style ,while different ,is engaging and dynamic. She is specific in what she wants in her essays but she gives very clear guidance on what she expects in them. She is very accessible for any questions on material or assignments. If you have to take Am Hist for credit, take her.

Professor Meek is THE BEST prof I've ever had in all the year of my undergrad. I've never wanted to go to a Monday morning class off Main campus more in my life. Her amazing teaching style during her lectures combined with the open discussion seminars and clear grading/feedback made this the best class I've taken. She makes the content come alive

really great prof. very funny and lectures are entertaining, yet very packed. Be ready to type a lot. Gives feedback on assignments and allows resubmissions for pretty much every assignment.

Her class was by far my favourite of the year. The way she lectures is so engaging and easy to follow without being incredibly overwhelming. She also hates textbooks so you don't have to drop any money on them, she'll post occasional readings online for you. Her seminars are also very interesting and she encourages everyone to speak openly.

I have mixed feelings towards Professor Meek. She is very engaging and her lectures are high energy and entertaining. However, she speaks very fast and I found it hard to keep up with her lectures. Her lecture slides are also very bare bones and she does not post them online.

By far by favourite University class so far, I'm a little bias since learning about terrorism and cults is interesting but I highly recommend this class, Meek explains the lectures and content with clear detail, theres no textbook or papers plus when a test comes up she gives a clear review of terms for the test Overall take this course!!

3308E might be the most unique and interesting history courses in my undergrad, Meek is a great and fun professor who loads the lectures with material thats interesting and specifically makes clear sense, tests have study guides, gives good feedback, be sure to participate!!! It will help a ton, overall loved the course and learned a lot

Easily the best Professor I've had during my time here

Dr. Alison Meek is one of the best professors I have ever had. Her lectures are engaging and interesting, she provides helpful feedback on any submitted assignments, and treats her students very well.

Only regret I have in my undergrad is not taking her Cults course. Meek is an amazing professor who remembers her students and makes classes super fun and intriguing. I went to a concert the night before her class, and still showed up the next morning - that's how much I enjoyed her classes. She's quick but thorough to grade, with clear feedback.

11/10 professor. Slide shows aren't posted, however, lectures are very entertaining and engaging, and I never wanted to miss a class. Wonderful lecturer and person and is truly passionate about what she teaches and her students, great sense of humour and couldn't recommend her enough.
