Prof. Melley is a very nice and caring professor. She is always happy to answer questions. She use powerpoints as part of her lecture and posts them on blackboard. Even though she posts the powerpoints on blackboard, I still recommend coming to class regularly. She also gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. Overall, a great class! Must take!

This was her first semester at Mason and with such a large class (300) so she tried her best and at times I was lost and it was a little boring. Class could be better and improved. Wish it had a clear grading criteria and easy to navigate course webpage. It's confusing like others say. I also wish research credit is omitted because this is an intro course. Would make sense if it's upper level class. Not many people did their research credit and if people don't do it, it affects the grade

The structure of the course was a bit confusing but it was easy. Unlimited revisions on homework and she basically posts the answers on Blackboard. Hardest part was getting 7 hours of research credit, but there are alternate assignments available. I think a lot of the bad reviews were from people who skipped class or didn't follow the syllabus.

Did not enjoyed this class at all. I am not a lazy student (have 3.8 gpa) and I complete apply questions on time. What I disliked besides the course structure was the fact that they sample questions from the assignments and if you get one wrong you have to revise. Feedbacks are confusing. Didn't learn anything. Also research was so very unnecessary

Asynchronous. Was in the GC for class. Class was literally made easy; unlimited attempts to submit work, posted answers to help you revise for full credit, 2 attempts on the final, all open note. Dr. Melley is a cinnamon roll; so sweet. The class is definitely manageable. The Apply assignments can be annoying due to the randomization of two questions being graded by a TA, so don't be surprised to revise for more credit if they don't like your first answer. Final project was simple and the exam was open-note. No quizzes and no tests. GL! :)

Professor Melley is great and structures lectures and work in a way that helps retention. I enjoy going to class because I'm interested, but there are also a few interactive activities here and there in case you aren't. The group quizzes are a hit or miss, I feel that it encourages less studying. Overall enjoyed this class, would take again!

Dr. Melley was a kind professor and this was overall a good class. She isn't the most tech savvy so there were a few issues with due dates and accessing modules, but overall she was respectful and cared about the well-being of her students, and the course itself was pretty straightforward and simple to complete.
