I am not a math person, never have been and take every opportunity to try toget out of the class. SHe made things so easy to understand, is completely understanding in any kind of emergency. ALways willing to help!Very recommended!

Miss G is one of the best explaining teachers I ever had. Unlike some other teachers she cares about making you understand, and if she sees that you try hard she is gonna help you out a lot. She is very funny too lol, Miss G IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER AT GCC!!!!!!!!!

First I thought math 101 will be on of my hardest class in GCC but taking Alla Ghahramanyan made 101 a very easy class. The way she explains is impossible for you not to get it. So i strongly suggest to take her you wont regrate it.

Before taking this class, I dreaded math. As a non-Armenian, I was also concerned that Prof. G's accent might be difficult to understand. My concerns went out the window after the first week when I realized she's very patient and easy to understand. I have Prof. G to thank for erasing my fears about taking albegra classes. I hated math before i took her. I made sure to only continue to math 146 and 101 when she was teaching it. shes very patient, helpful and really sweet. shes funny and i guarantee you'll understand and actually LIKE math after taking Ms. G :) Best math teacher ive ever had!!!!

Ok... If there was a word that could describe how magnificent this teacher is I would use it. But I think such word to describe such hardworking, friendly, smart and professional teacher has does not exist in any language yet. I started in 155. Now I am in 101. I have learned the proper way to study and enjoy math with this instructor.

She is the best math teacher i have ever taken. i took math 101 with her over the summer and got an A. If you had questions ask her and she'll answer it for you. Ya you have a quiz every day but when you turn it in she tells you what you got wrong and you can fix it. Trust me you cant get lower than a B- in this class.

She is helpfull to those who care to learn and pay attention to what's being said. She will repeat as many times as needed. She does have an accent, but clear in speech. Don't miss a single class, otherwise gets hard. I certainly would recommend her.

Excellent teacher. She moves very fast in the winter session but explains everything methodically and will stop and re-explain if you do not understand. Her quizes are extra credit. The tests are comprehensive to make sure you understand everything.

best math teacher by far!! i definitely recommend her. She knows her stuff, explains it clearly and is always willing to help. Doesn't spend too much time reviewing, but hey it's college algebra, there isn't too much time to waste on reviewing. LOVE HER!!

Alla is a great math teacher. She explains very well. We had a total of 7 tests. She checked Homeworks on the day of each exam. She is so kind and hard worker. I always had fun in her class although the class was @ 7:00 a.m.

Honestly, let me start off by saying that whoever wrote the negative comments must have the wrong person. Mrs. G, is one of the BEST professors I've ever had for math. She doesn't speak PERFECT english....but she is very clear and understandable..I got a C in the class but only because I put very little effort. She explains the lectures very well.

I loved Ms. G and her way of teaching. It was very detailed, organized, and easy to comprehend. I ended up getting a C, but that was my fault. I didnt study for the exams which you should definitely do and try not taking the class at 6:30 in the morning...bad idea -__- Other than that it was a great class, she's pretty hilarious too.

I've almost never had a good experience with Math teachers until I took Mrs. G. I loved her and her class! She explains the sections very clearly and will happily re-explain it if you don't understand. Homework is a reasonable amount and her tests are similar to her ch. reviews. I'm not good at math and managed to get through 103 with her teaching!

Have math anxiety? Then taking Ms. G's class is a MUST. She makes math easy, understandable, and even fun! Take good notes and keep up on homework and you'll pass, no sweat. She writes everything on the board and color-codes, making note-taking very easy. On top of that, she's hilarious and totally approachable!

TAKE HERRRRR I took her for summer and although heR lectures are very very very fast pace she is sympathetic. She gives a lot of homework but TRUST ME do it and you'll get an A for sure. Best professor ever. Lectures are very clear. If you have a question she will try her best to answer so that you fully understand. Didn't even have to open my textbook other than for homework. Do all the homework and ask questions, should have no problem passing with an A. If I could, I would take her for all my math classes.

Ms G is the best! She teaches exactly what is going to be on the test, she gives moderate exams, and gives a review before the exam that covers what will be on it. You get points for homework but you should already be doing the hw if you want an A. She also averages out your test scores and substitutes it for your worst exam. I got an A :)

She's probably the only math professor at GCC worth taking. She's funny, helps a lot during office hours, and you'll never get bored in class. As long as you do her practice tests, pay attention in class, and do homework you'll be fine. She has 5 tests plus a final, grades homework, and has a group work approach.

SHE IS THE BEST!!! took her for winter and i have to say the best math teacher i have ever had! i wish i met her earlier when i started gcc. she gives review questions that are similar to the test which helps a lot. she doesn't let us copy notes until she's finishes her lecture which is the best idea ever because she gives us time to copy it. Ms. G was AMAZING! Took her for Math 119 during the winter semester. I am terrible at Math and Ms. G was able to change that. Her lectures were super clear and she doesn't let you copy while she lectures - this helps a lot! Got an A after a short, yet tedious 5 weeks. Would take her again in a heartbeat. Homework is assigned each day, but is fairly simple. She has office hours and definitely helps if you put in the effort. She's super funny and makes lots of jokes and gives a lot of extra points on each test that is given. Her tests are simple if you study the review she gives, but does grade tough; so pay attention and becareful.

ms. g is a one of a kind. words can not describe. I definitely struggled in her class knowing that math is not my strength, but she made it possible for me. Really appreciated her teaching methods, she was very clear and extremely detailed on exactly what she wanted you to focus on. Gave lots of different kinds of examples on each problem so you knew what to expect during the tests, no surprises. Overall really enjoyed the class even though it wasn't the easiest but still doable of course.

Best math professor I've ever taken! she is super cute and always tries to make the class fun! she gives homework every time the class meets, but isn't due till the exam, but its easy just don't wait till the day before the exam to do it! The only downside was that the exams are timed but overall her class was easy.

Professor Allah is the best math instructor I've ever seen in my life. Taking Math 101 in summer was something crazy to do, but with her was such a piece of cake, because she is not wasting her time or yours, she is doing everything to let every single one understands math and do great. This professor has to be by far the most understating professor at GCC. The homework she gives in a winter course is NOTHING compared to what some professors give during a long semester. Alla is amazing. She simplifies the difficult subject. Her notes are really helpful. The problems she gives on the test are actually doable (unlike Oldberry). They are taken right from the book. Some tests were harder than others but they were fair overall. With some effort and studying you can pass this class.

Everyone complaining about Ms.G's class good luck on your higher lvl math courses!!! I have taken all the math classes up to 108, and I'd say she is one of the best professors I've had. Her lectures are very clear and she cares about students who put in some effort. She will quiz you everyday ( not pop quizzes) but its exactly from the hw.

I absolutely loved Mrs. G, she was extremely nice but the worst part was that her test were really hard and I sadly had to drop the class because I was failing. Other than that, she was extremely nice and really truly wants you to pass.

Professor Gharamanyan is by far the greatest professor I have ever had at GCC. Calculus 1 is a tough course in itself, but she makes it so doable and exciting. She explains everything so well and helps break down concepts that help students understand whats going on. Highly recommend her if you want to have a strong base understanding of calculus.

Mrs. G is the best professor Ive ever had at GCC. She knows the material perfectly and explains very clearly. If you really want to learn, then I highly recommend taking her class. The tests are not very easy but if you do the homework and pay attention in class, you would definitely be fine.

Mrs. G. is the best Calc 103 professor. She does her best to make everything clear for students. You just need to do your hw and practice and you are ready for tests.

Mrs. G is the best. If you have the chance to take her you should. She cares and she listens and she tries her best to help. She respects the students and truly understands we're trying. She also cracks jokes in class. I will definitely take her again when I need to take Calculus. Everyone in our class loved her. She answers emails fast too

Actually, my class was 90+ but the class was not in the list so i choose 141. she is the best math teacher. explains very very great and gives opportunity to work on the board with groups and answer all questions that you have. I received C because it was my fault. I got lazy and stopped studying end of the semester.

Alla is a fantastic teacher. I took her for 110a during winter 2020 at GCC (only 5 weeks). The material was a lot and there was a lot of homework, but i feel very prepared for 110b thats coming in spring. If you do the homework on time, and you complete the chapter review she gives at the end of the week, you can get an A.

This class is so hard because of its calculus, but Ms. G makes it easier. She knows so much and such a nice professor. Her tests are not easy! STUDY HARD, but she is still the best. I was on her office hours every day and there is a line of people there. 5 tests and a quiz every day! HARD but DOABLE! She is the best! GOT IT OR NO? :))))

AMAZING math teacher! Probably the best math teacher I have ever had. Her tests are difficult but she is a very fair grader! The daily quizzes are so easy if you do the hw and keep your grade up. 100% recommend she's the best :)

Professor G is the best math teacher I've had here at GCC. Very detailed lectures, and is lenient. The class is not an easy A, but if you do the homework you should be good. She does not stuff you with a whole bunch of work, but a good amount to get good practice! Take her class you won't regret it

I am a student that is returning to college after a ten year break. I have been through calculus 1 with an A, and have also placed top 5 in the AMATYC math competition. Mrs. Gs Math 90 class was challenging and very in-depth. Her tests are VERY tricky, so be sure to study thoroughly! I ended up with 100% in the class overall, so its doable!

She is extremely consistent, and she makes it very easy to understand whats expected to succeed in her class. Her tests arent easy, but they are fair and she prepares her students properly. Now that Ive seen how inconsistent other math professors are at GCC, it makes me wish that she taught my current math class. Shes the best! Take her class!

Best Math teacher I have ever had. Her tests are complex but if you put in the effort you will do good in her class. The test questions are similar to the problems from the book, just slightly different. If you study and torture yourself, you will get an A. The most challenging sections in the course are Related Rates and Optimization.
