Very clear voice. Students MUST ask questions. TONS of quizzes. I used to hate exams, but when you are required to do HW everyday, it’s a piece of cake. Where was she when I was in HS ? :)

Good teacher. Has an in-your-face, cheerful attitude, testing, though I g2 admit: in the end I began to understand what I couldn't in HS. Leads a very fast paced environment. tip: Although only 2 ppl failed summer, she got no problem going over the grades and failing the student on the spot

Knows math very well. Keeps eye contact and has a strong voice. Strict grader.

girl moves very fast. were breezing through the material. quizzes, tests, hw... you name it, she got it. its good she gives hw, or id forget it in 2minutes.

good old fashioned teacher. wish more of the other profs would be like her.

in order to really appreciate her as a professor, she had to miss a few days. OMG, the substitute (fulltimer also, I think) was so bad, that we literally fell asleep to his mumbling. Her teachig is intense, but at least it's clear and to the point. And you know something by the day's end.

Great at explaining complicated things

she's tough, no question bout it. BUT she forces people to learn. Had 3 whiners in my 1st class, so they dropped. They annoyed the crap out of everybody anyway. She does rush, but I dunno anyone else who can teach so much material in 3 months. And believe me I took quite a few other profs, so I can compare. Best thing: time flies in her class.

She's ok. Has a bit of an accent, but i don't care for it. Leads a tight ship. Contagious smile. i think i got a B in that class, though in all honesty i'm a slacker.

she's a funny, but strict teacher. time management = 5/5. ability to pass on material = 4.5/5 grading = 4/5 after clas availability = 5/5 (e-mail), 3/5 (in-person) vocal cords that would wake ANYONE up middle of the night = 6/5 :)

the woman is a blessing. homeworks collected & checked EVERY class, occasional quizzes, tests... and she's mad funny. and that's being funny while teaching math - hats off. As far as I'm concerned, it should be in the job req. **********************Note: In general, I can't stand math, but I'm glad I got her.

She is a good prof.

I didn't like Math before I went to her class. She is a great teacher but she gives A LOT of homework, quizes every class and has little patience if you don't understand to explain the material again. Overall though, she can teach very well and I learned so much in so little time. She made me like Math again and helped me to pass my exam.

Online course had good amount of hw (summer course). Tests weighed as good amount of your grade. Clarity hard for an online class but explanations were seriously confusing (several students didn't understand certain topics). Exams from practice questions makes it easier.

I liked her class. Unlike some others, she's got a clear agenda, a syllabus that actually makes sense, and she's funny. The bad: her jokes can be mean-She'll crack an occasional, especialy if you miss a HW (hehe), or just complain too much. Yeah, she's a tough cookie, but I feel I earned that B+ fair&square. I wish there were more profs like her.

Fair, and honest. I wish other profs just observe her or something-she doesn't waste 1 minute, everyone is always doing something. And G-d help you if you fall asleep or if she catches you loose concentration - she'll be on your tail till end of the semester. Be prepared to take many quizzes and tests, but soon it becomes a routine and even fun(?).

There's homework everyday, a quiz every other week, and you're kept busy for the majority of the class (plus, you need to bring your textbook into class every other day, which can be a pain, depending on the person). She expects a lot, but in the end, you learn something.

This class can be difficult to take online but I have never encountered a professor that will take time from their personal schedule to meet with you and explain the work. She is extremely helpful. If you decide to take this course online, don't wait until the last minute for help go see her in her office. She is extremely helpful.

A good, real teacher. You can see that she likes to teach, while others barely tolerate student presence. I dunno about everybody else, but I liked her. Yeah she's hard, but she's also fair - the online class is very similiar to the book (boring), but if you come to see her personally, she is VERY helpful. I'd recommend her.

I LOVE HER!!! SHE IS THE BEST. SHE HELPS WITH NOT JUST PASSING HER CLASS AND EXAMS, BUT ALSO PREPARES YOU VERY WELL FOR THE NEXT CLASS. THE PROFESSOR IN MY NEXT CLASS WAS IMPRESSED WITH WHAT I KNEW, HE ASKED ME WHO WAS MY LAST PROFESSOR. PROUDLY I TOLD HIM. HE DIDN'T SEEM SUPRISED THOUGH - GUESS I AINT THE FIRST ;). MRS MORGULIS IS THE BEST !!!

SUMMER ONLINE CLASS: here's the thing...DO NOT take the online class if Math tends to be a hard subject for you. I should have taken a regular class. I thought online would be easier. However, She is an excellent professor, explains things crystal clear. In an online class, you HAVE to go to her. She is very understanding and loves teaching.

very good prof, but you have to do EVERYTHING on time - very intensive. i definitely agree with whoever said that her in-person classes are much more beneficial. in my case however, i had no choice and had to take the class online - no regrets though...

Giveeveryone what they deserve I say,and the woman knows her stuff....but on the other hand there is nothing but being bias in the claculus class. I mean seriously if you're not a math major DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS, majority of the material she teaches is unnecessary and irrelavent if you're not pursuing a career in math!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took her 2 semesters ago: very thorough and caring professor. Definitely no boring classes with her, but not monotonous either (quite a few laughs actually). Demands a LOT, but I remember most of the stuff I learned with her till this day. And my major was not even math ;)

I cannot praise her enough. wonderful caring teacher. gives a lot of HW but that pays off in the end. quiz everyday. strict grader but she will work with you after class if you need help. strict on absents/lateness. she is the best math professor i have ever had!!!

took it in summer online, intense class, a lot of work, but she made it clear, especially if you come to see her in person before the exams. She is very helpful and understanding

I also took her summer class: thought this was going to be a breeze, but this was a serious wake up call: no less than 3 hours (!) of DAILY study. There's just WAAAAY to much material to cover in too little time, though truth be told the professor was available (some replies are within minutes) and made it clear (recommend to see her before exam).

cares about her students and always ready to help. i would recommend her, but be prepared to learn and work hard!

LOVED HER !!!! I'm working as an Actuary right now (started with 60K and hoping for a raise by Q3 2010) because of her mentoring and guidance 2 years ago. She helped me pick this path & I, who hated math before, will forever be greatful. Other prof "discuss" how not to be afraid of math; she drills u until you learn HOW to learn ON YOUR OWN.

Little confusing on exams... Expect a quiz EVERY class

i always had trouble with math before taking this class and hated it with a passion, but she is really disciplined (lot of hw and quiz everyday) so it forces you to practice. and what do you know? if you practice you will excel. i love math now thanks to her.

real old school: speed-quizzing, HW checked daily, tests... I challenged the final grade, and on the spot she went over my grades/compared them with syllabus: it barely added up to B. I still feel like I deserved an A for all the effort I put. Word of advise: keep checking on how you're doing before the last date to get W. If C or worse, drop it.

if you really want to learn math, this professor is for you. She is very strict, gives quizes every day, but in the end you will know this stuff...she is fair, and the classes are somehwat even fun, truly cares about her students. i would recommend her.

if you're a good student, you shouldn't listen to half of these comments on this website. she's a good professor and it's up to you to work hard outside of class to EARN your grade. some of you will be in for a rude awakening when you transfer to a 4 year college.

She prepared us for the final by giving us more challenging quizzes everyday and pushing us a little further than final exam preporation. When the day came to write the final I finished in 30 min and got an A. As long as you respect her she will do whatever it takes to help you pass. I'm well prepared for MAT206, half the curriculim has been taught

She is good professor but teaches fast and spends too much in quizzes, homework and gives tons of homework that you do not have time for anything else. You need to go to Math Lab otherwise you do not pass it. She is now horrible but she is hard. You need to follow her if you want to pass We started 23 or more and we are 11 right now final next week

Old school tough professor. She gives a LOT of H/W every day, which she collects every moring before a dayly quiz. Her explanations are very clear and she encourages students to ask questions. The material she taught was a little bit more advanced but it helps a lot if you are taking MAT206. Then it felt overwelming but I am very thankful now!

Great professor! A bit strict but really wants her students to do well. She always was available during office hours and before class. She gives tons of homework but it is really beneficial especially if you are not really good in math. I took this course 2x prior and failed but as soon as I took this course with her I passed!!

she has a clear grading ! yes for online class she does give a lot HW but It is online class so its expected ... as long HW complete on time you get full credit . The thing that matters most is midterm and final hoenstly ! She also make herself available Just email her she will email back or if you need to skype her She WiLL just to help you.

took her stat online class, not easy, a lot of work, but you will know this stuff and get a good grade if you do the minimum she requires. she was available for skype meetings with students individually, really cares if you understand the material, went over all my midterm mistakes, I got A- in her class. would recommend

Not an easy professor at all, strict Russian style. She will give a lot of homework. On the other hand, you can pass it even if you don't do so well, just how your work, and don't cheat, she's gonna be supportive and give you a good grade. If you like Math just take her, but if you are lazy and hate Math, you should avoid her.

Prof. Morgulis is a very professional and extravagant woman. Math is her gift. I leaned a lot from her class.

Professor Morgulis was always respectful and created a positive learning environment. Professor was always available to help students when needed. I would definitely recommend her.
