Wrote by hand on a chalk board, and would mostly talk about the theoretical behind the problem, instead of doing examples. Homework on My Math Lab was unnecessarily hard, and the lab part of the class was completely ridiculous and unhelpful. The exams seemed to be eaiser than the howeworks though.

Dr. Berele is a helpful professor. Most of his exams are exactly like the worksheets he hands out. There is extra credit on the exam. We had homework once a week, but when the class needed to catch up he allowed for us to turn in late. He was available for office hours 3x a week. His class is fun and manageable!

Dr. Berele is a wonderful professor. He truly cares about you learning the material and is also very accessible for help outside of his class. The people on here who are complaining are non-math majors who don't put in the work for class. If you put in the work (like you are supposed to be doing), you will do great in his class. Awesome professor.

Took him for MAT140 and MAT141. He's heavy on the material for every lecture and moves on very quickly. The first time I took him he didn't have any quizzes but the second time he did. He gets upset and bothered every time someone asks if we can use notes on the quizzes, midterm, and final which he didn't allow. Worst professor I have taken by far.

quiet guy and pretty bad hand writing but he curves quizzes really nicely and gives points on the quizzes even if you get the answer wrong. the quizzes were always similar to the work done in class. hes a nice guy.

He is very quiet and moves very quickly throughout the material. There was nothing provided online except for the textbook and homework, so it would be a good idea to go to class to try to understand these topics, as they are much bulkier than 140. Nice curves on the quizzes (4), but no notes on the final.
