i found this prof to the the most useful resource while taking stats 151. he is a super lab teacher but took it a step further and helped me understand the lecture as my prof for that was unclear. if you take stats i highly recommend going to allan for help. plus he is probably one of the funniest teachers ive encountered.

by far the most helpful prof in the stats dept. teaches just labs but answered all my stats questions more clearly than any prof.goes out of his way to help if asked and very knowledgeable. very funny and very loud!(in the i-can-finally-hear-my-prof-from-a-mile-away-kind-of-loud lol

He is a loud speaker, as in Brian Blessed loud, and then one time he figured out how to use the lab microphone and speakers.... Anyway, he's a great teacher, and he's very willing to help and explain. I was really sick the day of the lab final and he helped me arrange an alternate writing time. He's very funny and personable.

Allan is the only reason I passed stats. He was extremely helpful, willing to meet with me outside of labs/classes to go over material and ready to answer any questions I had or make any clarifications necessary. I would highly recommend him and his classes!

Although he's a Toronto fan, I gotta say he's a great prof. He helps students (really well) whenever they need it, and honestly, I learned more from his labs than I ever did in the lecture. Favorite professor I've had yet. Macewan needs to get him on there full time and stop sharing him with UofA, cause I really wanted to get him for 312 but he only had one class the next term. Take Allan if you can! I've never really liked Statistics and was dreading this class. His good sense of humor and patience made the class bearable. He truly cares about his students success and all of is tests are fair. I would highly recommend Allan as a professor! One of the best I've had at Macewan!

While Allan does a good job teaching the material, his jokes are unfortunately 90% at the expense of other people, particularly students in his class. I did not enjoy his class because almost every class he would put someone down. "Are you stupid" - even in jest - is not acceptable behavior from any teacher. Especially one that is loud/domineering.

The first week I was intimidated by Allan. Soon after however, he became one of my favourite professors at Grant MacEwan. He is extremely clear, helpful and concise. Great prof all around.

This was during my first semester of University and I switched from a different class. I thought this class would be difficult and I would do poorly, but switching into this class was the best decision ever. Easily one of the nicest and most helpful prof's I've ever had. Wesley is by far one the best professors at MacEwan. He is enthusiastic and is always available for help. I've had the please of being in 3 of Wesley's classes. I would take more of his classes if he taught higher level finance or business. Exams are straight from class notes and in class examples and you don't need the textbook for his classes.

He just goes through the lecture content in the first 10-11 minutes of class and goes through practice problems for the remainder of the class and expects us to know how to get through the problems he presents. The practice problems DO NOT correlate with the assignment questions(worth 30%)

Wesley is a great prof and actually cares about his students. He knows that kids are serious about their grades, and will do anything to help you achieve the marks you want. ALWAYS helpful and there when you need it, and makes class actually interesting and easy to learn concepts.

Mr. Wesley is by far my favorite professor so far at Macewan (1st year BCOMM student.) He is hilarious in class and a very fair person when it grading - efficient too. If you are struggling, he will help you as best as he can. Just attend office hours. Very intelligent, friendly, easy to get along with. Difficult material (for me) that he made fun.

Hands down the best prof I've ever had. No need for a textbook. He goes over all the material you need to know and does plenty of examples for clarity. ALWAYS responds to emails ASAP and very helpful when you go see him in office. Asks what you want on a test so there are no surprises. Practice exams mirror actual exams. Makes stats seem easy

He is absolutely amazing! Not only does he help with the class you are in but he also helped me in other classes I took with profs that sucked at helping. He is so funny and really tries to get to know his students all on a personal level and actually remembers! SO SO helpful and literally teaches everything you need to know in lectures!

Amazing teacher. Provides all sorts of supplementary material for students. Held office hours 3 times a week (during COVID). For someone who didn't really excel in Math in high school, I faired pretty good in his class. He makes you understand why these math formulas exist and puts a realistic twist on it.

I have had the luck of having Allan Wesley for both FNCE 113 and MGTS 312! He is by far the best prof I have ever had at MacEwan University. I will only take mgts classes with Allan. He is so kind and caring, and if students had a concern with a part of a exam, he will let you make up for it. The format of this class (because of covid) was awesome because there was no midterm/final. Only 4 exams for each of the chapters and then you are done with said chapter for good. Best professor!

Wesley is a great choice for taking MGTS 312 online. His tests are fair as long as you put in the effort. He is also helpful and typically replies to emails quickly whenever you have questions. He is also caring and understanding with his students, such as providing a bonus assignment and the option to shift the weighting from lower exam grades.

Allan is one of MacEwan's best professors for a reason - would highly recommend taking any of his classes. He was SO accessible during the online/Covid semester. He replies to emails really quickly. For our group project, we could submit early for feedback and we received a video in return explaining how to improve. It was so considerate!

Yes yes yes!! I took this class once in the spring with a different professor and in the end, I had to drop it. I retook it in the fall with Allan and he was amazing!! In his online section, there were no scheduled lecture times but Allan has recorded his lectures and posted them on youtube. Im honestly so thankful I had him this time around.

Funny guy who makes lectures fun even though they're pre-recorded. Answered emails very quickly and was willing to explain anything. Group projects can be done alone and are modified to be easily completed alone. I hate math but this was a fairly easy course

Literally the best prof ever. His recordings are very very in detail and the assignments are really simple. He's also very accessible outside of class and responds to emails very fast.

Allan made MGTS enjoyable! His quizzes are a bit challenging, they're definitely not pulled from a testbank lol. He provides good examples and his lectures are genuinely enjoyable to attend! You MUST put in the effort, but if you do, you'll do well. Grades off MANY things, so you have a lot of opportunities to boost your mark.

This is my THIRD Allan Wesley course and I might say he is THE BEST professor in MacEwan! He cares for his students deeply, he gaves extra HW for credit, and he believes that everyone is working hard and up for success! If you can take him, Take HIM!!! He is the best teacher that a student can ask for!

I have NEVER enjoyed math and always struggled with it Allan is by far the best teacher I have crossed paths with in life he cares about you and wants you to do well.He ensures you actually understand the content in the easiest way possible. He is extremely interesting to listen and learn from, and you can see how much passion he has! AMAZING PROF!

Allan is absolutely AMAZING! Even though my class is online asynchronous, and I feel intimidated by math courses, Allan has made this class feel amazing. The tests will be a breeze if you go over lectures and finish the assignments. He is definitely among one of the most caring professors at Macewan and genuinely wants his students to succeed.

Amazing professor! MGTS 113 is a tough course and Allan does his best to make the course easy. Hard course but there could not be a better prof than Allan for it.

One of the best profs in macewan by far. Allan gives lots of opportunities for bonus marks; a lot of his lectures are also recorded so if you miss a class you can always catch up!

Allan is the most amazing professor I ever had the chance to meet at MacEwan. He made this class enjoyable and engaging, and his lectures were something I always looked forward to. If you have the chance to take a class with him 100% do it.

Math is not my strongest subject so I was dreading this course. Allan made it easy to understand and he really cares about his students. He also gives out so many chances for bonus marks and is really engaging during his lectures. Definitely take this course with him!

Best prof I've ever had. Allan made everything extremely clear and was an easy grader. Math is one of my less strong suits and he made me enjoy the class while becoming a math wizard. Allan will get to know you on a personal-level and will always make sure he is available for help.

Allan is by far the best professor I've had at Macewan. He is SO caring and really cares about his students success. He encourages participation in class. He gives opportunity for extra credit. He is AMAZING. He supported me with questions from other courses as well. I loved this class!!

His lectures were entertaining and interesting and was happy to help if I had a problem with a question. Seemed to have passion for the material which is rare for professors nowadays.

Allan is a caring and interesting professor who makes students want to go to class and makes class fun. Try to get this man for some class throughout university he's like Robert Williams in Dead Poet Society. Also an easy A if you watch his videos, do the practice questions and pay attention

Allan is an amazing prof. He has YouTube videos for every chapter and replies to emails very quickly. The first midterm was online, the second was in person, and the final was online. He gives lots of easy participation marks, allows a cheat sheet, and genuinely cares about students.If you have him, you are truly blessed!
