Coach A is a great professor that really cares about making his students comfortable with public speaking. There are only 3 speeches and you do not have to buy a textbook. He gives you helpful feedback on your speeches to become a better communicator. One of the best professors at Delta, definitely recommend him!

He is a really good teacher. His class is very interesting and he is more than willing to help his students with anything they need to do the work properly. He gives great feedback on assignments and is never too critical so don't be afraid to ask about what you need to work on.

Each speech graded is tougher than the last, but as long as you go up you will pass the class. He gives the outline on what should be read in the text, but doesn't give reminders so make sure you read it before the midterm and final. He is very laid back and likes his students to give a lot of feedback. Participation in class gives you kudo points.

The professor offers extra Credit which helps out a lot. If you email the professor.. He gets back right away. The class meetings are very informative and we get to share our input about what he covers. He gives good feedback and easy to talk too.

Professor is a great teacher. He explains things well in class and does clarification in case you don't get the topic. He makes class fun by allowing us to share our thoughts and I like that he gives extra credit. It helps out a lot and his test are good so as long as you listen in class and take good notes ( let's you use an index card).

Great instructor to have. It's not an easy class but he breaks everything down as to what's expected out of you. He sticks to the syllabus unlike other professors, and if you can't make it to class because of family events he is okay with it. So as long as you email him asap with proper notice.

Great professor! And if you never miss class you get 50 points just for showing up to class. He lets you explore topics that one really is passionate about and I know I haven't gotten my grade but one can keep track and one can figure out our own grade. He gives you a sheet to keep track so that's great. Very easy to talk too.

Class was mostly boring and at times cringeworthy, but thats more of the students fault than the professors. He is nice and respectful, and may come off as an easy A, but grades tough. 3 speeches and a final exam on a book no one reads(Although the syllabus states that you should be reading daily). Not sure what my grade is, but am expecting a B.

Professor A is a great instructor and does what he can to assist us students. He always response to email especially when when I was doubting myself. He always explained things well and doing the reading that he tells us helped me understand the research and got me ready for the final. Read the book and you'll do great.

Professor A is amazing!! Words cant describe how badass he is and how he surprised us with extra credit even at the final. As he knew some of us couldnt attend the other two options. He also spoke of current events which made class more fun. And didnt just stick to the book.

Professor A, is one of the best Professors!! All he taught me heped me nail an interview and get a job. One thing I did learn is that all your Q&A can be answered by reading the syllabus. Being someone who dreaded taking public speaking and saved it until my semester at Delta, I have to say I wish I would have taken this class a lot sooner especially with Professor A. He understands that anxiety can occur with public speaking and helps you through it, even does lectures about it and how to improve yourself.

I took this course for the summer during this pandemic and his assignments were straight forward and easy. If I tried a bit harder I knew I could've gotten an A, but I didn't and still managed to get a B+

My advice is to get everything done early and use the local library to research sources for speech. I was nervous but its not that bad. Online class uploads speeches as an unlisted YouTube. Do the work, dont be late and turn everything in. He took a long time to respond but the class is doable.

This teacher does everything on point. He lays it all out in black and white. I could have done better but I started to lack in the end. Group performance is extremely important. As it's required for one to pass the class. The key to passing his class is read everything he gives you. And email him if you have questions.

Pretty easy assignments, mainly discussions and having to respond to peers. The material was all provided via links and PDFs. All assignments are graded out of 100 points, so missing one assignment does hit down your grade a lot. Announcements are pretty heartfelt which I thought was nice.

I don't know why people say not caring when he does care. If it wasn't for this professor I would've not graduated from Delta College. He helped me so much & went above and beyond to help me. Very straightforward class. I took the summer session and there was very little homework. Everything was centered around the speech and all together I probably put in 10-15 hours over the whole semester. He sends out a lot of articles and sections from a textbook, these are helpful but definitely not mandatory. Make sure you pay attention to canvas

Tough grader for sure. He would deduct points a lot. I never got full credit for anything. It was always six points off or four points which was kind of frustrating. No feedback as to why those points were deducted. I took summer session. Very fast paced. Group speeches. Some people will drop out, be mindful. Stick to it and just get it done.

So this class was majority discussions and three major project assignments. Not a ton of interaction as he was pretty clear and concise in his class. I wouldn't say easy A but reasonable effort is required.

This class was super easy for me, not a crazy amount of assignments in this class. I took this class late in the spring semester. The professor is ok, the only thing I dislike about this professor he post assignments late with 1-2 days to complete as well as doesn't give feedback at all on assignment. He's a very easy grader tho! COMST2A BTW

I took this professor for COMST2A! Super easy class the professor is very easy on grading in my opinion. Two things I dislike about this professor he post assignments late as well as doesn't give you a detailed feedback other than that this class is super easy.

Took this class for COM ST 1A, we had a few presentations that we needed to do with an audience, along with homework assignments that were easy and understandable. He listens to his students and treats them with respect, would take again if I needed to. Helped with my comfortability in doing speeches. 5/5

Pretty much only had 3 major assignments throughout the semester. Just make sure you are on top of it when the deadlines come in and pretty much be ready to speak and record. Attendance is mandatory when it comes to group projects so you know what is happening and is on top of everything.

For his online class, Professor Amundsen assigns two speeches for 3 others to review. His class was very easy and did not require many assignments. However, he does dock points on assignments and does not tell you why or give any feedback at all. I highly recommend this class for the easy A and for the communications requirement to graduate.

I took an all online public speaking course, which only two speeches must be given in front of an audience, either in person or gallery mode on zoom. This class requires checking in often to check where you should be as far as work, he does not post assignments that build your speech, you must do so on your own. Easy class and easy to talk to.

Professor Amundsen is one of the best at Delta College. He provides excellent feedback, offers extra credit, and wants students to succeed. unstuckstudy was a huge help for study prep alongside the free textbook materials.

His class was pretty easy, you do have to be involved with the projects because you do have to record the talking sessions with other classmates and send it to him. It was not horrible or anything, but if you are camera shy or have social anxiety be prepared to get out of your shell.

He gives us months in advance to prepare and writes down plenty of notes for you to know your material. Professor Amundsen is always available during the week via emails. He responds so quickly. All his assignments are all laid out and even provides a template and his modules show you exactly what he is expecting out of you. So, it's not hard just follow the flow and you will past this real easy.

Make sure to attend classes and sign the sign-in sheet to receive all of the credits! I forgot to sign one of those and he took all points off of that discussion prompt. 2 speeches are the major assignments in this class (informative and persuasive), and many other discussion prompts include self-evaluation and peer review prompts.

Professor Amundson's course comprises an informative speech and a persuasive speech (with feedback/self-reflection assignments that follow). If you can FOLLOW simple directions, then you should be fine. Otherwise, don't take your anger against him if you fail. Overall, Amundson is logical compared to others that require essays over ACTUAL outlines.

Professor A is hands down the best! His lectures and straightforward and the fact that he gives you a template for both speeches is great! He then lets us know we can earn up to 60 points for participating in a day event! And those 60 points help with being able to pass with flying colors.

Please take him! His online public speaking class is very easy. It consists of 2 speeches, you can present to a small group over Zoom or a few people in a room with you. I don't have anything else to say about him, but please make sure to meet the time requirements for your speeches, because that is what takes the most points.

Professor A is one of the best! I knew I had to let him know that I was struggling with my health to make sure that I would get more time and help. Once I told him. He assisted me and made sure that I got all the help I needed. I ended up passing his class with a B+! He cares and he helps so much! He makes us feel safe and not judged! The best!

Best professor I've taken at Delta, everything good you hear about him is because it's true! I've struggled a lot with anxiety and was really hesitant if I'd pass the class, but Professor A is really understanding, and I made so much growth. I really recommend that you don't fall behind, just stay on top of everything and you should pass.

I took this course to help myself improve my speaking. I don't think that I am good at public speaking at all. The teacher was informative and quick with his lecture. He showed what was needed to succeed in the class and was easy to understand, while allowing students to use their laptops to write notes.

What can I say about professor Amundsen. Well he truly cares about our success and he always wants to make sure we choose topics that will align well with the whole concept of each topic &he gives you feedback if the topic isn't what needed to be and that meant alot into me being able to pass his class. Always ask questions. He is quick 2 get back.

Listen to the feedback he gives you on the topic. He just wants us to do good. And with the feedback take it and run with it. Follow all the modules as those are key to passing this class. Also, if you need help or extra time. Let him know before hand. Not after the fact. He cares and wants the best for us all

Professor Amundsen is hands down caring about his students. I liked the introduction for use sharing about our goals and passion. He takes the time and reads them. And reminds us at times we are doing good and keep our eye on the end game of our dream career. He made this class seem more than communication but an environment for us to feel safe

This instructor is fantastic! He responded quickly to my emails and always made me feel respected, no matter how silly my questions were. He broke down the speech topics clearly and provided a helpful template that made everything easier to understand. Absolutely awesome! He really cares about us doing good.

All the answers to everything you need to know is on them! He doesn't get you with gotcha like another professor I took and she was the worse! Take him!

Professor Amundsen is an awesome instructor. I was waiting to get accepted to Berkeley to be able to leave a review. Take everything how he gets you ready. He lays it all out, directions, and read the syllabus! I am glad he always pushed that because being at university these professors over here expect you to know. So he got me ready 4 my journey

Professor Amundsen really cares about us being successful. Always reach out to him if you need help. But do it during the week. He is hella quick to respond. No need to ask him questions in class if you feel embarrassed as you think your questions maybe silly. He doesn't mind and he helps to clarify things. So a simple email.

Professor A is not easy by any means. You have to earn the grade, but he makes it possible with all the instructions and directions he provides. If you are looking for an online professor who cares and does it so well that it looks easy. He is the person. He thing is just email him and let him know if you need help. Don't wait last minute

He gives you ever detail of what he expects from each assignment. Always email him during the week. And he responds back fast. Weekends he is off so you won't hear back unless it's an emergency email and then he responds even on his time off. He also gives extra credit. He cares a lot.

Professor A gives you many many chances. And he even gives people a 24 hour window to submit things late. Yeah he docks points but he lets you submit things! Many professors don't allow that. So anyone saying they are failing due to one assignment is such a lie! I never and up for teachers but I will when someone is lying about a good person.

Professor is amazing! It's my 1st year and I have never felt so confident! As I did in his class. He is always on it.And he doesn't mind that I bugged him with such silly questions. He always gave me guidance and did it with so much care. Anyone ever saying bad things about him is wrong and liars My friend and I took his class together. He is cool

Professors Amundsen gives nothing but good vibes! He cares a lot. And if he gives he a lot of feedback! Take it. Again. Me My friends and all took him together. Its like four of us. And all four of us. Had amazing experience. Which is why we are all leaving nothing but good vibes.

All I can say is this professor is hands down the best! He allowed me to explain my reasons why I wasn't doing well and how my life wasn't going well. He showed nothing but encouraging words and a kind man! He has made my future possible and allowed me to grow as a better man and to improve myself. He is a real one. Thank you sir!

A good professor, I can say. He takes his speeches to heart and is serious about them. He speaks with enthusiasm, which makes the class not feel boring. The only thing I would say about him is that he's busy, so reaching out to him is difficult.

I have nothing but respect for this professor. He is hands down the best! He does everything in his power to help you pass! But! You have to let him know in advance for him to do so. I am glad I did and I am passing. Even with tragedy. Happened to me. This instructor was there and supportive me.
