I have been going to HCC Learning Center for years and Allison always knows how to explain the material so that it makes sense. She has tricks for biochem concepts and is willing to work overtime to make sure you got it. The book for class is confusing, but she actually relates stuff to real life. She also admits when she doesn't know something.
I went to Allison for tutoring before she began teaching the class. She clarified material that confused me and even taught me study tactics, since I've never been that great at studying. She has been tutoring for Bio & Chem classes for years and it shows because she has an excellent understanding of the material.
I have been going to Allie for help with CHEM and BIO courses for two semesters and she has saved me from quitting more than once. She's a good motivator, without getting annoying about it. She has tricks for CHEM (gmd, mgm...), I don't know why other profs don't teach by keeping things simple. I just wish they'd hire her to teach my upper levels.
A friend referred me to her since she helped her pass micro. She got me through pre A&P and Chem. Good attitude and willing to help in any way she can, but won't do the work for you. If you expect a pushover, you'll regret it. She tends to lose patience when you make excuses or don't try. Speaking from experience. I would take her class if offered.
Has more experience teaching students than my actual proffessor. Took chem online, but she worked with me in person and I passed. Liked her attitude.
I would love biology even more if she taught all of my science classes. Wish she could come to Towson with me.
They should hire her to teach!
Learned more in 1 hour at group session with her than I did in 10 weeks of class. Like her philosophy, "keep it simple, then build on it". Saved my life.
I did not expect such a young teacher. Honestly thought she was a student. But she knows her stuff and explains things really well. I would taker her again.
Take her. You won't regret it.
Glad to hear she's finally teaching! I am officially in the nursing program because of this girl! She helped me with A&P and dosage and made conversions so much simpler!
Take her! I took this class twice and failed miserably but the third time she was my tutor and she made the material easy! I am finally passing anatomy cuz of her too!
If you want to understand how this class applies to nursing, take it with this lady. Hope she teaches anatomy and micro to!
Ms. Collins knows how to teach on the level of her students. Her, Madden, and Imberowicz are the best for bio. She grades fairly and give extra credit. A fun person all-around.
I took online chem in a three week semester... not a great plan. My professor was never on campus for questions, so I was told to go to the tutoring center. Allison was my tutor and went through the material with me. She broke stuff down so it made more sense and helped me get the math stuff. Great visual aid maker stories to make you relate topic
Take her class. She will prepare you for A&P and Chem. Dont expect easiness, expect to learn something useful. I thought this class was a lame prerequisite, but it helps alot.
She is most caring prof i ever have. I have 3 kids and she made sure I got any assaignts i missed and work with me to understand material. She keep things simple and doesnt expect memorize the book. Lab is fun to. I want her to teach anatmy next semester. Id probabley learn more from her. She got my respect. HCC should give her more class to teach.
I LOVE this professor. She will do anything in her power to help you understand the material and prepare you for anatomy. Her tests are not easy, but the subject is difficult in general. She's funny too, which is a plus. I love her philosophy: k.i.s.s - keep it simple students. I hope she teaches anatomy soon.
She's my lectuere and lab instructor. lecture can get boring at times, but she tries to get people motivated and gives good straightforward examples. Lab is fun and she lets us be the investigators. Chem section blows, but she had tricks for memorising. Lots of assignments, but tons of points .
I like her teaching style. This is my first college class and its a doosie, but she tries to make things relate to what's going on inside the body. I am not a fan of microbiology, but she made me realize that thelittle stuff does matter and is usually the reason for the big health problems. She taught us how to take pics through the microscope.
Go to her for tutoring if you need to understand the math section of prep chem. I dislike math, but she made conversions simpler and scientific notation makes sense now! She uses everyday things to explain math and chem which is how I like to learn. Excellent tutor, and probably a good professor to have.
The beginning of this class was tough, especially because she said she never taught bio119 before. But I love Prof Collins. She gives tremendous amounts of extra credit. I've gotten A's on all the exams because of it. She clarifies a lot of the confusing material. The class isn't easy because it's biochem but she makes it tolerable.

This class is tough, but Prof Collins makes sure you know your stuff. She gives 50 points of extra credit throughout the semester (it's not easy either), but doing extra work is worth it. The chem section was scary, but she tries to make it more uinderstandable. I recommend her.
Professor Collins' class was really great! She provides TONS of extra credit opportunities and is pretty fair with her grading. Don't think that this is an easy class, though. She does assign a good bit of homework and other assignments, but as long as you read the book and pay attention to her lectures, you'll have no problem passing the class.
Has a lot of extra credit and when she grade papers she tells why you got something wrong and helps you understand the correct answer. Long lecture but she try's to make as painless as possible.
I learned a lot in this class, it was very interesting. However, there is a lot of work (homework, essays, projects,) but she gives you time to complete the assignments. She is funny and understanding. Her lectures are long, but the labs are fun and easy. She isn't a tough grader, but you must follow the rubrics she gives. Lots of extra credit!
I love prof collins! The subject especially the chem was tough. She gave tons of assignments and like 4 exams, but shes clear and helps learn. Shes funny and wants students to do good so they make great medical proffesionals. She helps me alot with study skills and understanding concepts. She gives extra credit to. I would love to take her again.
I really dislike this class material its not what I expected. I was originally in another professor's class, but I had a difficult time understanding her, so I changed into this one. Professor Collins made the subject more interesting by relating things to nursing and real life situations (she is easy to listen to, as well). Still a beast class.
Best professor of the semester! She's down to earth and genuinely wants her students to succeed. She's willing to help anytime she can and makes a difficult subject more accessible. I wish she had office hours though. On another note, I want to know where she gets her awesome glasses!
She knows the subject very well, and she is an easy person to approach if you have any questions.
She is awesome! If you email her, she will let you turn assignments in late. She gives a lot of extra credit! She will help you personally if you approach her. If you discuss your issues with her, she will be more willing to help you individually. Love her!
she goes really fast through lectures but other than that she makes the labs fun and I would love to take her again
She is a great teacher
She makes this complex class that is pretty difficult easy to understand! She is also very helpful and understanding. Good sense of humor during long lectures.
Very nice teacher , helps a lot
Gives extra credit
Collins is the bomb, I was scared about taking Bio but she makes it as fun. Lectures do go quick but she puts them all online and she is very god about extra credit. I recommend taking her class.
I actually liked professor Collins she made this course somewhat easy she was always there for me when I need help and lastly she answers emails all hours of the night :)
Professor Collins is wonderful. She does not provide notes in class but you have the option to print the power points which I highly recommend. Reading the book helps clarify so I suggest reading it on tough subjects. She uses Blackboard a lot which I appreciated and grades materials quickly. If you are not interested in this subject do not take!
Very clear on what's expected in class and on test. She uses blackboard A LOT and doesn't leave much to guessing. follows syllabus religiously and you'll definitely know your stuff at the end if you pay attention and do the work.
I love her! I hate that she doesn't have an office though. She is understanding and kind, always willing to give extra help and a couple points of extra credit on quizzes and stuff. Her syllabi is straight-forward, as is her grading. If you have a question, don't be afraid to ask it. She made the biology and chemistry make sense. I feel prepared :)
She was straight forward with objectives and she is good at explaining. She is a good teacher
It was a brutal semester, but Ms. Collins got us through! I was scared of this class at first because its gotta lot of chem and my friends that took it said its torture but it was not as bad as they said. I liked most of it and she knows how to make things make sense. It was hard but she was always there to help and work with me and others.
I am not taking prep chem with her, but I should have. I am in the learning center daily with her and she lays everything out much more clearly than my online professor and the textbook do. She has tricks for some chem/math operations that made me understand the reasons behind the assignments and what I was doing. Also, her glasses are gorgeous!
Great class and teacher. I got a D in high school for various reasons, one among them being a poor teacher and admittally a poor student back then, but she made things clear and concise. The only problem I had was she went through the power points she made a little fast and I didn't always have a chance to note the important parts of every slide.
It would be better if lecture was more detailed teaching and less rushing through a power point presentation.
I tried the online class and was absolutely lost, so I dropped that in fall and took professor Collins class this winter! What a relief, I understand Chem now! She is very helpful and always there to answer any question you have.
Good teacher. Is very flexible with assignments and homework due dates. But isn't very timely with email communication... I probably would take another class with this teacher.
Good professor. Wish she would have been able to teach all the lectures though. The sub was good too, but he went fast and had no lecture notes besides what he wrote on the board. The class was three weeks and there was alot of material. I would have preferred less homework and more in-class taught problems. Overall, I'd take another of her classes
Great professor!
Great class
I love, love, love her! I just wish there weren't so many assignments - although it did help me understand the material and helped my grade. Final was long, but easier than I expected. I prefer her over Judd. He's knowledgable and a nice guy, but he goes way in-depth over stuff and doesn't give powerpoint notes. I will take Collins again for bio.
Professor Collins is chill and super clutch.
She was a great teacher. I've never liked Science and I really thought I would fail but I ended up getting an A!
Easiest non science major science course
She was a great teacher with a laid back demeanor who gives a lot of extra credit and help to her students
Very good. straight forward teacher would recommend her to any student taking this course for credits looking to transfer.
Proffesor Collins was very helpful and was a very good teacher! I would recomend her to anyone!
Requires some studying and no book work. Really nice teacher. Easy class. She gives you a lot of opportunity for extra credit and isn't really harsh towards grades. She is very easy going and awesome. If something comes ups she is very understanding. No problems with this teacher. Overall awesome teacher!
A good teacher I highly recommend taking her
Take her! She fine!!! And smart too!
Awesome teacher & gives many opportunities to get an A. You just gotta put in that work!
Great teacher gives many chances to pass. I would take her again if had the chance
Amazing professor. Lectures are sometimes really long, but she puts the power points on blackboard. Would recommend taking her again. Gives extra credit like crazy.
Professor Collins was a great biology teacher. You have to really try in order to do bad in this class. She offers plenty of extra credit opportunities, will accept work late, and offers study guides that make the tests manageable. There are a lot of quizzes but they're online and relatively easy.
Very understanding, gives lenience when discussed with ahead of time.
Nice person horrible professor
Good Instructor, just needs to practice patience with students and learning skills
Awesome
Allison Collins was babe with a little sass. I love it and her.
She was a good teacher and I liked her
lectures are always posted online didn't even buy the textbook, accepts things late, quizzes are online, gives study guides for every exam that outlines whats gonna be on it, easy class but really long boring lectures but cool about having your phone out
Easy to get along with and gives lots of opportunities for additional credit. She lectures on powerpoints. She goes pretty fast in class but they're all available on blackboard
Helpful, understanding, lots of extra credit opportunities
Super patient and willing to work with students who need extra help. Cute too! Love her and will take again for other bios and chems.
Professor is a nice and respectful woman. Unfortunately the class isn't well prepared for labs. Lab book required for class, was not used very well. Would have preferred to have a midterm, if the final is going to be cumulative.
Lots of extra credit, but the book doesn't help.
As long as you attend class frequently and complete all of your assignments, you'll be fine.
I thought she was fair. Long lecture, gives out to much homework, and quizes.
Like I said I didn't have know issue the way she taught. I just thought she gave out to much homework, but she also gave plenty of extra credit too. I cant complain
Great professor, easy to communicate and helpful. Talk very clear but a little too faster to follow sometimes , especially when you have hard time to remember those big words in BIO class.
very beautiful, soft soothing voice, sweet with a little sour. enjoyed having her.
Professor Collins, was an amazing teacher. Very clear and precise about what was being taught. If needed I would absolutely take her class again.
DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK
She was such a good teacher. She understands we are students and need this class to graduate. She made sure that she gave us as much opportunity as she could.
Cool as a breeze , everything you need.
She really helped me with my grades and being able to keep up with all of the assignments.
Great teacher. She literally makes it impossible to fail. So many extra credit chances. If you do the test study guides, you will pass the test. Lectures are pretty easy and labs are fun.
She was so sweet! She gave a lot of work and had long lectures, but it was manageable.
Dont buy the text book. Pretty fair and easy class!
Good professor, she is very lenient with grades and gives students a lot of extra credit to help grades.
She gives out a lot of online quizzes and hmwrk make sure u stay on top of things to pass .other than that it's an easy class
Pretty fair and easy class!
Easy going teacher
Professor Collins is a great teacher. Lots of extra credit. Hard not to pass the class, just show up and do the work and you will be good. Labs usually end early and go fairly quickly. Fun and enjoyable class.
Like quizes online
Prof Collins will go out of her way to be sure you understand every assignment clearly. Best professor ive had. I wish to be friends with her.
She will help you out as long as she can see you're trying
she is very patients and allows late work. There are lot of quizzes but and test are not hard
I don't like the subject Biology , but Professor Collins class was very fun and interesting. She's very considerate and gives a good amount of extra credit! She gives great outlines for exams to prepare you for them. Take her , you won't regret it!
Professor Collins put funny memes in her lecture powerpoints that keeps things entertaining. Just make sure you study for the tests and know a few jokes!
She gives you lots of extra credit, Take Her!
PRINT OUT THE POWERPOINTS! Doing this saved my semester! The textbook is not needed, I brought it and never used it once. She gives plenty of extra credit so there's always a way to bring up your grade! I HATE biology and I passed this class with an A. If I can, YOU can.
Smart and sexy. I could listen to her lecture about anything. Shes sassy and funny too. I hated bio, but I managed a B in her class. She has a way of making things interesting; great examples. And she's willing to help students outside of class time with questions. Lots of assignments, but she legit wants students to succeed. Love her.
Professor Acollins is so young. I thought she was joking when she walk up to the front of the classroom on the firt day of class. Shes like 23 younger than me! But she is smart and does not force it on you. I am glad i did not drop. I ended up passing micro and 119 she is awesome. Willing to help and slow down if needed. Would take again.
I like how extra credit was given throughout the class because I feel that it really helped people get their grade up. Also, Professor Collins will work with you if you have a problem with your grade or turning in any assignments.
very nice, can joke, offers extra credit, lenient with most work
Mrs. Collins was a great teacher in mu Human Body in Health & Disease course. I didn't technically need this class but needed a science so I chose this and I am very pleased. She was very nice, the material was cleary given, grading was fair and I learned a lot!
I like how she is right to the point with the material, however, you will definitely have to study. She is understanding of typical adult life struggles and works with you on it no problem. I enjoy that she is flexible with due dates considering we all have other things going on. Its nice to have a professor that isn't such a stickler about rules.
Professor Allison was a great teacher and I learned a lot of things from her. Thank you Allison, I would take your class again!
She is lenient and convenient with time. She's very laid back and cuts to the chase in her presentations. The information provided on slides are your focus points for quizzes/tests. Extra credit is given as well. I would enjoy another course with her.
Pretty great
she was very nice and energetic during class and labs, unclear at time but works to make sure student understand everything.
Professor Collins made my final semester a breeze. I was worried about it because while I enjoy science, biology isn't my strong suit. She gives you lots of information and quizzes/exams are no surprise at all. Everything is clear from the start of the semester right up until the end and there are lots of chances for extra credit to help!
Good class
She is an amazing teacher and makes it really easy to pass if you take advantage of the opportunities
Good teacher, helps you out when need be and is very flexible as long as you communicate with her. Gives loads of extra credit, so take advantage! Weekly Quizzes.
By far the best professor i had at HCC! She offers a lot of extra credit, is considerate, easygoing, and there for you if you have concerns. I was surprised at how young she is , she is super intelligent and has accomplished a lot her age. Take this professor, she really cares about her students and tries her best to help. She is Beauty & Brains
Had her for Bio119 this summer. 8 weeks of insanity. But she made it tolerable. I am talking her for micro in the fall. She knows her stuff and actually wants students to understand material for nursing. Highly recommended.
Very down to earth and respectful. I actually look forward to her class and lab. She cares about her students and their progress and is understanding when it comes to work, kids, and other activities that may conflict with the course. Class is no joke. 1000 points even during the summer minimester, but she makes sure you know your stuff. Exams ok.
Just had her for BIO119 and am currently in her Micro class. Great professor! I wish she taught A&P. I would take her for all my sciences if I could. She legitimately cares about her students having an understanding of the material, and give credit where she can on exams and homework. She's not an "easy" professor, you have to put in the time.
She is my favorite professor to date. Easy grader. Gives a lot of extra credit. I took her class over the summer (8 weeks) and i understood everything fully and we were always ahead. She is very caring and still says "hi" to me, by name, as if i was in one of her classes this semester. Tests are fair. Study groups help A LOT.
I would definitely recommend Professor Collins! BIO 119 is certainly not an easy course, however she goes above and beyond to ensure that you are learning and understanding! She provides study guides and lots of extra credit! Also, she works in the learning center is willing to assist you outside of class which has been super helpful!
Took this in the Spring with another professor and regretted it. Learned and retained more in Professor Collins' class than I have in most of my other classes. Tons of busy work, but it makes you study and apply concepts. She has great ways of helping you study and cool memes/ jokes for remembering topics. I'm actually going to miss her class.
This women knows her stuff! My favorite class of the semester, if not the best I've taken at HCC! Micro is amazing! Who knew how many microscopic things could kill us on a daily basis!? Ill miss this class! Wish she taught anatomy!!
Overall a great professor! Although the class was very work-heavy, it was worth it. If you're willing to put in the work, she's a great teacher. She actually teaches you and is willing to go over anything until you understand the concept. She also gives a crazy amount of extra credit throughout the year, up to 10 points on each exam!
She made a difficult class passable and understandable. Tough class and MANY assignments, but you know your stuff when your done. She has clever ways of presenting and making people remember info. 2nd exam sucks. Wish she taught Anatomy
Professor Collins was a great teacher. There were a lot of papers and worksheets but she's very organized and is there to help you succeed!
Lots of opportunities to make the grade you want. While there re A LOT of assignments, they help you with the course material. Teacher gives a list of possible essays before the exams. Write your essays, study the homeworks and the exams should be an easy A. She really tries to make the courses interesting. I'm not a science-y student, but did well
There is so much work in this class. Literally if you are planning on signing up for her class make sure this is the only class you take that semester. I am taking a few more classes and this is the only class that I have time for since I have been doing microbiology every day every night because of how much work she gives its better if u dont take
There are a lot of outside class assignments, BUT I actually learned and retained the material and really enjoyed the class. She's work heavy but super helpful and gives lots of extra credit to make up areas you may not have done well on. I enjoyed lecture and lab.
I am taking her microbiology this semester and I have never had to work so hard - there are SO MANY assignments, but I actually learned more than I have been in other classes. Her class is not a "chug-and-dump" course like most others. You have to learn and understand the basics and constantly build on them. Take her class. You'll be better for it.
First professor I have had that actually wants her students to be great nurses and cares about the education they get. Lots of assignments, but it's worth it. I was actually more prepared for the TEAS test after her class than after A&P. Talks fast, but makes material easily understandable. I actually kind of love micro now 3
I wish she taught A&P! I got into UMD's accelerated nursing program because of her! She helped me connect all the health science courses I have been taking and I finally understand how/why the body and the microbes around us interact! She's fantastic. Should be full time!!!
She is AMAZING! I can't wait to take microbiology with her in the fall. BIO119 is a mix of biology, chemistry, and physics and it's no joke. She is accessible during and after class and runs group tutoring sessions outside of class time. She gives study guides, but makes sure you know the background behind everything. Also, her clothes are fab :)
Great professor, lots of papers/homework, but its helpful and needed. She will help you if needed and if you listen. She gives lots of extra credit and uses an app to help you study. She gives several small papers and weekly homework, but her exam questions are mostly homework based and will help you pass. Second time taking her, and would again
She's honestly one of the best teachers I have had at HCC. She gives a lot of assignments but they do actually help to prepare you for the exam. If you study the homeworks and complete all the required assignments, you will 100% pass the class and actually learn interesting information in the mean time.
Honestly probably the best professor HCC has to offer, if you're having troubles, she is very approachable and is willing to sit down with you to help you out. There is some homework but it gets you ready for nursing school or more difficult courses. This is the only teacher you should take if you want to learn in this field.
Professor Collins is an amazing teacher! She assigns a lot of work, but as long as you do it and meet the criteria she is asking for you will do great! There are tons of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. She is very passionate about what she is teaching which makes class very interesting. I would recommend everyone to take her!
She loves the subjects she teaches and it shows in her classes. Lots of assignments, but it is a dense subject, that she properly prepares us for success though. She keeps you on your toes and knows when to throw in a few laughs to distract from the tedium.
Best teacher Ever!!! She love to teach and help you understand what you are learning
Amazing. I had no idea why a chem class was even relevant to my degree, but professor Collins made me see how chemistry applies to literally everything! She makes difficult and confusing topics (even math) kind of fun. She is passionate about science and it shows. She wants students to love it too. Can't wait for 119 with her in the fall!
The only professor I have ever had that actually cared about her students. I missed a bunch of class because of family and she emailed me, checked on me, and made sure I had what I needed to succeed, even when I thought I couldn't handle it. She is understanding and bends over backwards for students. Don't be afraid to tell her what's going on.
Her class prepared me for nursing in ways I would have never expected. It's not what I thought, there's a lot more to it -- biology, chemistry, physics -- and it's all connected. There's so much to know and understand, but "Prof Coll" makes it interesting, exciting, and relatable. She takes time to connect concepts to real life. She's excellent.
I loved her. She is an amazing teacher. I get excited when I see her around campus. It's weird. I said hi to her once and she continued walked. I don't really care if she was ignoring me. She probably doesn't even remember me lol.
Take her for prenursing! I mean it; your patients will thank you.
Some of her lectures are like TedTalks! I love her!
Shes a great Professor. She teaches the material very good and keeps you engaged. 10/10 would definitely take again ! Professor Collins is a great professor !! :)
Professor Collins is such so amazing!! I highly recommend her for pre-nursing!!!! She does anything she can to help you.
Shes such a great teacher. Very pleasant and actually makes you enjoy the subject. Highly recommend taking her if youre pre-nursing.
I loved her class. She is so funny and kept us entertained. Lots of ways to keep your grade up. Always answers questions and gives you help. Her dresses are adorable. I would take the class again in a heartbeat.
Amazing teacher! Gives you everything you need to successfully pass the course. Micro is not a walk in the park with some of the terms and lecture material, but so much extra credit & so many opportunities to bring up your grade! Is very easy to talk to and always willing to help!
Her micro is amazing! Take her!
Professor Collins made microbiology one of my favorite classes. Lots of assignments, but understandable as there is LOT of material. Had all lectures accessible through blackboard, and gave some class opportunities for extra credit.
I like Collins as a person but her class is SO MUCH INFO, it's insane. However, she does have good way of teaching to make this slightly better to understand. TIP: DO NOT TAKE BIO119 DURING THE SUMMER! you will need a whole semester to learn this material and craming it into 2 months was not enough time. And DO NOT skip class, you'll miss a lot.
I took her class over the summer and the material itself was a lot to take in, but she was available after class if you needed help! One of my favorite classes because of her honestly. I highly recommend her!
Professor Collins is amazing! She gives you a lot of work but is always available for help and will bend over backwards to help you as long as you're trying. Her lectures are amazing and can give you real world examples of why the information she is teaching is useful. I wish I could have her for every class.I would definitely take her again.
I passed the NCLEX because of her classes! Had her for CHEM010, BIO119, and am in BIO205 now. Her class is no joke, its very difficult - but I will be a better nurse because of her. She is a lot different than other professors - she actually cares about student success in and out of the classroom. She is awesome!
In her on campus course now, but she lets us use her online lectures to study. Lots of resources available on Bb, and she is available on campus alot. Really like her personality. Understanding regarding life outside of college (kids, military, job...) Wish she was full time so she could teach my other nursing prerecs.
I thought she was crazy since there are so many assignments like discussions, HW, research projects, case studies, lab reports, quizzes. But now I get it, the work actually helps me use what I'm learning. Advice is, don't wait until last minute. Ask questions. Take things seriously. She wants us to be the best nurses, not just okayish.
Very nice lady but her lectures were so fast and confusing. To be fair, that could have been my fault. But it seemed that everyone around me was always confused and lost as well. I know that people were constantly failing quizzes, tests, etc.
Literally the best HCC has to offer. I wish they would give her more classes. She is always available for questions and goes above and beyond to work with each student. I took online micro and she made time to work with me and other classmates on campus, even on weekends. She actually cares about students and their success. She even tutors A&P!
I have taken her for CHEM010, BIO100, BIO119, and BIO205! I honestly hated science before her! I am taking her for BIO203 in the fall too! And yeah, she does talk fast, but theres a lot of stuff to go through and she's always available to review if you have questions.
I cannot believe Harford hasn't given her more courses. She goes out of her way to make sure every student understands and can apply the material. She lectures, but there is a lot of out of the box stuff too. She makes you think, not all memorization.
One of the best prof at HCC. If you dont take her you will regret it. She gives a lot of assignments but that helps when you dont do well on a test. Offers a lot of extra credit. Very helpful with ANY questions. Love her. Tough class though
Do not take Bio119 OR Bio205 with anyone but Allison Collins!!! She is an amazing professor and truly cares about her students! She wants everyone to succeed and is willing to help you! Shes tough but caring and I wish I could take every class with her!
Collins is an amazing teacher! I had taken micro with a different teacher the semester prior. Did not understand anything. Emailed Collins from another class and offered to help me even though I was not her student! You will need to study for this class. Micro is not easy but she helps you understand the material! One of the best teachers I have!!
Hands down the best professor I had at HCC. She is so smart but not arrogant, great teacher, and makes lectures so interesting that I still remember some even though its been 2 years. The info is tough, but she organizes it well. I feel like she could be teaching at any university and HCC is lucky to have her. Shes clearly a dedicated professor!
Please come back to Harford. No one here is as amazing as you! We miss you. :(
