She is awesome. Some gives clear instuctions on the requirements for the essays. There are 3 essays: a narrative, ethnography, and a film review. You can revise the essays to make a higher grade.
She is the best English teacher you can have! She is a very fair grader, and your grade will reflect on your effort. She tells you exactly what you need to do in the essays. Very helpful and knows how to teach!
AMAZING! Mrs Davis has got to be one of the best english profs you will ever have! Her class was a joy to go to bc she actually TEACHES you how to write a paper! She tells you exactly what she wants and if you have any questions she is great about getting back to your emails : day or night! I definitely recommend her!!!
Such a great teacher! She helps you with everything you have questions on, and is a very nice person. If you don't do so hot on your paper, you get a chance to revise it and get a better grade. No final, easy A
Great Class. I like her style. She wants you to write from personal experience instead of writing stuffy research papers. She can be a little misleading when it comes to instructions, so ask questions. Make her clarify it for you.
Very helpful teacher. I came into the class thinking I wasn't a very good writer, but she helped me be a pretty good writer. She's really nice and laid back.
Professor Davis' World Lit class was both amusing and educational. Quizzes were every other week, but EASY. Midterm and Final were EASY. Take a couple of notes and pay attention. Speak up! Her ONE written assignment was not difficult, but she graded fair. I made a 95, and most of the class got B's. She is personable, & enjoys a good laugh :)
Ms. Davis is extremely helpful. She will teach you how to write! If you are terrible writer, she will help you. Lectures and class discussions center around a book about Marcel Proust. Puts an interesting perspective on life. Not just dull research papers. You mostly write from experience.
Please.. Easy Class. Real Easy. Read notes, pay attention in class. I swear, if you don't get an a......then a b is the lowest you will get. Shes very nice. Trust me, you will be mad if you don't take her class. You betta take it!
She is a great teacher. The in class work that you do practically writes the papers for you. Easy A or B depending on your effort, just show up and read and you'll get a good grade.
Mrs. Daivs is one of the best English teachers I have ever had. If you do not understand an assignment she is more than willing to help. You have 3 essays to write and a few quizzes over reading. The quizzes are online, 25 questions, multiple choice. I liked her class so much I will try to take her again. Fantastic Professor!
I took this class online, there was a lot of reading but most of the stories were interesting. Professor is very helpful and fair. I would recommend her. Online tests are a mixture of multiple choice and
I liked her class, I liked the material more than I did her. I don't know what it was, but everything I asked her or said to her she responded rudely. She pissed me off in the beginning of the semester, and it went downhill from there. I did get an A and I guess that's all that mattered.
Her 2174 class is great. She is very knowledgeable about the material, especially the Victorian Era. She is very open-minded when it comes to differing viewpoints on a reading. Overall, a very fair class, but not always easy. She has a lot of notes for you to write down, so watch out for writer's cramp. Highly recommend overall.
I took her online course and I HIGHLY recommend it if you have a busy schedule. Everything is laid out and organized for you every week. Material usually given Tues.-due following Mon. Exams given (online also) Thurs-due Sat. You must read what's assigned and post to the discussion board, then take a quiz. It's easy, but you have to be dedicated!
She grades really fair. However, her tests are partly based off of class lectures and notes, which made me too scared to skip classes after I did once and saw the reflection of that on my test grade. Oh, if you miss an in-class assignment she won't let you make it up which is another reason I was too scared and almost never missed class.
I had her online class and loved it. She is very helpful, provides useful feedback, and the class is super easy as long as you read the requirements for each assignment. She grades very fair, and even lax as long as you put effort into the assignment. If would definitely recommend her to ANYONE.
I took her class online. I really enjoyed it, she gives you very interesting stories to read, not borring at all. You just have to make sure you do your weekly discussion and take the reading quizes. Do your reading and you will get an A in class.
took her online; easiest class i have ever taken. was still enjoyable; read 2-10 pages a week from great classic writings...good class for an a, not a great class for becoming a better reader, better writer, or connesieur of world lit. if you don't get an a in this class, you're...special.
I took her class online and it was the best decision I could have made! She is extremely organized, the reading is interesting and very manageable and she communicates frequently and well with students. If you have not taken an online class before, I would highly recommend her class. It is an excellent introduction to the online environment.
Love Mrs. Davis! She's very helpful and practical. I'm an art major and she really incorporates art into her lessons. I have taken her for 1101 and 1102 and will take her 2110 online. She is always willing to help her students and give you all the resources you need to do well. You learn a lot but she makes it worth your time.
Extremly helpful, very organized, and fair. I enjoyed her online class a lot, although a lot of work is required in order to get an A. For an online class, I think she is extremely responsive and easy to get in touch. A+ professor
Prof. Davis was amazing! I took her for 1101 and 1102! She is very helpful and will help you with anything regarding your paper if you just ask. Your grade conisits of usually 2 minor papers (that relate to the research paper) and the major research paper at the end of the semester. It wasn't difficult. I got an A. HIGHLY reccommended.
Mrs. Davis is really sweet and helpful. She is young so she tries to make class more interesting by focusing on the media side of literature so that you aren't writing essays the whole semester. Lot of in class discussion and a little light reading. I hate english but Mrs. Davis made is bearable for me, i even took her for world lit.
She is a great teacher. She uses different books that are interesting and easy reading. As long as you follow the assignments you should be fine. There is alot of writing in the class so if you don't like to write don't take this class.
Professor Davis is extremely nice and helpful. If you do the required readings and assignments, you should have no problem getting a good grade. If you need extra help, just ask.
Awesome professor. It will take a considerable amount of your time (online quizes, tests, group work). She is really helpful, organized, and made the class easy to handle. There is a small amount of reading. I would only reccomend dropping the class if you get stuck in a group that doesnt do their work as this will negatively affect your grade
Took in the Summer Online, so a lot of work due to short semester. Your grade depends HEAVILY on group! So drop if you get put in a bad group! Professor is helpful and quick to answer quesstions. Less reading than in full term. But very demanding.
Good teacher. Lots of discussions, group work, required reading and quizzes. Four units over the entire semester. Makes English fun!
VERY EASY & enjoyable course. Took it online-- grades consist of exams, quizzes, discussions, & projects. Most exam questions come straight from lecture! Very organized and clear professor. Books needed for class were very cheap too. So glad I choose her for online world lit! You won't regret it either.
Dr. Davis is the finest professor I have ever had. She is brilliant and appreciates various perspectives. She always made sure that we had all of the information we needed to be successful in her class. I took her 3x's! Take her!
BEST TEACHER EVER. Take her class.
TAKE HER CLASS! Wonderful material and fun discussions. She was very understanding when I was sick and had to turn in an assignment late. I love the way she talks about the material that may open your eyes and even if it doesn't, you will still pass the class. You would have to try hard to fail this class. OH and my class was HYBRID. DO IT!!!
Fantastic teacher! I loved attending her class and she talked about the material with her own passion that made myself and others want to learn it. If I get the chance to take another of her classes, I absolutely will!
Dr. Davis is a tough grader, but I still managed to make an A. Just read the things that are assigned and study. You'll do well. She is a sweet heart and really cares about her students.
I took the hybrid version of 1101. Professor Davis is the best teacher you can get. Very organize and helpful. Replies back to emails quickly. She will also take the time to explain things to you. I hated writing but she has taught me a lot and iv enjoyed it more now. She grades pretty fairly. Take her class if you want a good english professor.
I took Davis for English 1102 online. Easy A class! There is a quiz a week, but it comes directly from her lectures. Stay on top of your work and you won't regret taking her!
Focus was on poetry and having to memorize lines from poems and who wrote what.... which made the midterm exam extremely difficult. If you do the reading and show up to class you should have no problem passing the class. I didn't see where the teacher was all that helpful, and the class discussions had little to do with exam questions. ok class
Dr. Davis is awesome! I took this class online and I highly recommend her. She is very helpful and all her assignments are very clear and easy to understand. The tests Qs come directly from lecture notes that she posts. She gives a quiz each week on the novel or story we read. Even the stories we are required to read are interesting. Take her!
I admit, I was cocky before taking this class. I know that I've always been an excellent writer and didn't think I would learn anything new. I was absolutely wrong: Professor Davis shaped me into a much better writer and encouraged me every step along the way. She has a real passion for this job. You'll work for the grade, but it's totes worth it!
She is helpful and so sweet. If you do all of the assignments and actually put forth effort then you'll get an A. All papers lead up to final research paper at the end of the year. set up to where you can't procrastinated but its really helpful. quiz online every week. i took hybrid. take her! dont buy the books.
Great lit teacher, her grading is amazing. She tells you exactly what needs fixing and is really reasonable about taking points off... if i had fixed grammar and proofread i would have had an A easily. If you're not sure about your next lit teacher take her for sure!
Resonded to emailsquestions in an extremely timely matter! Assignments really got my mind going! Grades fairly. I would definitely recommend Davis to non-English & English majors alike!
Dr Davis is a very sweet, kind and helpful teacher who wants you to succeed. The assignments are very clear and not that difficult if you pay attention and take good notes. Quizzes every week on D2L which are easy if you read. The papers aren't bad as long as you are dedicated to what you're doing. Respectable grader, and will help you a lot!
Class was easy but was a lot of work. Weekly discussion posts & 3 responses as well. as weekly reading quizzes. 4 Tests at the end of each unit, no final. Books were interesting, didn't have to read them but helped for tests and quizzes. Responds to emails very quickly and is very helpful. Lectures are clear & tests are easy. Straight from lecture.
I absolutely love Dr. Davis I took her for both 19th Century Brit lit and Brit Lit from 1660 to present. If I could take her for all of my classes I would. By far my favorite teacher at KSU. She makes the material interesting and inspired me to think critically and analytically about the novels. I love how she incorporates history into the lessons
Online class was pretty easy. 4 books are required which are really cheap and also very interesting. Total of 4 discussions along with 2 replies to your classmates with each discussion. 4 unit tests and 2 journals. Oh and there is a quiz each week on the story you read which only about 5 questions long. Overall really easy class.
I loved this class! Short weekly quizzes on the readings, four tests and four discussion posts! The grading criteria is really clear and she's very helpful! There is a good bit of reading but it's all really interesting texts! I would definitely recommend her class to fulfill you literature requirement and I would take her again!
Extremely organized online class- all your due dates are clear. NO PAPERS! There are some required books you'll have to buy and there's a pretty good amount of reading. Online discussions and journals. Tests are easy. Just make sure you'll read and you'll be fine! Prof is very helpful and lectures are great. She makes the online format awesome.
Took this class online. Dr. Davis is fantastic. She is incredibly organized and clear in her grading criteria. I definitely recommend taking this class. If you complete the reading assignments, you will do well on the quizzes, tests, and discussion board assignments. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
She is a great online professor. Followed the syllabus to the T. You always need what you need to do to get an A and it is an easy class.
I took Dr. Davis for a world lit online maymester and I think it was the best choice I could have made for this class. She said it would be 5 hours of work a day but it only took me an hour to an hour and a half each day to get everything done. It was very manageable and easy. She grades fairly easy and provides extra credit. I definitely recommend
Whatever you do, do not take. One of the worst professors i have ever had. She barely grades and when she does its very subjective. just trying to screw you over and tear down your gpa. do not take. her assignments are so pointless and hard, do not even pertain to becoming better at lit.
An A is attainable. You HAVE to read the books to do well. Even with reading, the tests can be difficult. I feel like this class was a ton of busy work, and the learning outcome is small. However, this is a prereq for everyone, so if you just do the work you will do well. Do not try to go through the class without reading. It will not work out.
The books were easy read and weekly quizzes (they're semi-easy) are based on them so if you don't read, you won't do well. There are also discussion board posts, but not as much as I expected which is great since that's less for me to forget. She does grade kinda tough for writing assignments and the short writing part of the exams though.
Her hybrid course has pros and cons. You HAVE to listen to the recorded lecture or you will not pass her weekly quizzes or exams. No attendance. Haven't showed up since the first day. Responds to emails pretty quickly.
Professor Davis was an okay teacher, but I wouldn't take her again. The thing I really liked about her though was that you could always calculate your grade in the class. There are weekly quizzes, four tests, and two projects. She's a tough grader, and the tests are not on quizlet so make sure you read in order to do well on the tests and quizzes.
Professor Davis was a good teacher. Her class was straight forward and if you kept up with your readings and made sure you met deadlines then you would easily get an A. The quizzes are just over the readings and the tests are more directed over her lecture notes with some questions focused on the reading requirement that week. Just an easy class.
I thought a 2 week class was going to be really hard but it was actually manageable. It says 5-6 hours of work but I only spent about an hour or 2 a day sometimes less. Mrs. Davis is very organized and makes everything clear what you need to do each day which helped a lot. I would definitely take her and this class.
Professor Davis is very clear and extremely organized, it made the class much easier. Weekly assignments/quizzes but nothing too difficult. Four exams total. Two projects throughout the semester that require some creativity. Readings weren't boring either. There were tons of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester as well.
I def recommend this class. It is an easy A if you just do the work and its not that extensive. She makes everything pretty clear and is organized
Dr. Davis is great. Her syllabus and grading criteria were very clear. There are weekly quizzes, four tests, and two projects. You have to read the assigned readings to get good grades on the quizzes and the tests. There is some writing in this class, but not a lot thankfully. She also offers extra credit opportunities. Take her class.
easy A class!! lots of reading but I got away without buying any of the texts. she provides LOTS of opportunity for extra credit. 2 projects, 4 unit tests, and weekly quizzes. most of the answers are provided in the lecture notes.
She's really easy. I took her online two week class so there was about 30-50 pages to read each day. Her quizzes and tests are easy A's. She also gives 2 projects and you can easily get an A on both if you at least put forth some effort. She's very clear in her grading and in her syllabus. She also has a couple extra credit opportunities.
Lots of busy work. Quizzes on the lectures every week and usually a group discussion every week. You are always writing a paper. your final project is a long paper that you work on for weeks. She genuinely cares about her students though and is nice. She is a tough grader on essays, I've always gotten A's and high B's on essays until this class.
The sheer amount of discussion questions and responses you have to do is ridiculous.
You have a quiz over the reading almost every week. She has 2 projects and 4 exams but so far everything has been manageable. Definitely read her lectures because they help a lot on the quiz's and most answers can be found if you google them. She is great for an online English professor and passionate about what she does. GIves good fedback too.

I would've given her a better rating but she gave me a 50 on a project because she couldn't open the file I put for my visual. Instead of telling me she couldn't see as a normal professor should, she just gave me a 50. I am always involved in the class and in discussions. Her doing this made me uninterested in the class and her as a professor.
Professor Davis does make you work for an A. She is very caring towards her students, but was a VERY hard grader to me, even on discussion posts and I am good at English. There are weekly quizzes and discussions, extra credit, and papers. Stay on track and make sure you don't confuse the assignments and you will be fine! I still recommend her
This class was an easy A. I took it online and theres 2 projects, exams, and quizzes over readings about every week. She provides lectures that help understand the readings and are very helpful for the exams. I would take her again, great professor!
Her maymester course is great. I highly recommend to get this required course out of the way!! There are 3 test (mostly multiple choice, a few open response) 2 easy projects, and quizzes over readings (no lockdown/ no webcam). It took about 1 to 1 1/2 hours each day. Honestly just try and you will get an A! listen to the readings w audiobooks!!
She a great professor i would highly recommend her! Just read the material and her lectures and you will do great. She also offers extra credit throughout the year
if you need to take world lit, TAKE DR. DAVIS. i took her online and loved the class so much i wish it could have been in person. there is a 5-6 question quiz every week over the stories we read but they are extremely easy. there are 3 tests and all the answers are in the texts and her lectures. we have two projects that are also very easy.
Professor Davis is amazing! If you have the chance to take her, then please do! You will not regret it. She is super chill and answers all of your questions! The class I took was asynchronous, but she isn't a tough grader AT ALL! There were weekly discussion posts and quizzes over the lecture and reading from the textbook.
Amazing professor. Cares about her students and wants them to pass. Class is a lot of reading but it is short stories weekly. The answers are found in the notes and the class itself is not hard. 11/10 definitely would recommend!!
Good teacher and class. Not too hard, had two big projects that were easy and a few tests. Did have a lot of reading quizzes, so you have to read a lot of short stories for this class. However we didnt write any essays, but we did have discussion.
I worked so hard on my final research project and had three different people help read over it and make sure I had everything I needed and she still gave me a 51. Nothing like feeling good about something youve written for once and having a lazy teacher make you fail the class by giving you poor grades for no reason. Thanks a lot Dr. Davis.
I took her for a maymaster so, 6 weeks of course work in 2 weeks. The class should've been stressful but it wasn't because she is amazing. She sent her syllabus ahead of time and was organized from the start. We had quizzes every day for the first week and 3 unit test, and 2 very easy fun projects ! If you read you will pass ! Take her !
I took this class during a 2-week period and she was God-sent. Be ready to read but the stories are interesting, also watched 1 movie, 2 projects not super easy but as a college student you can get an A, and 3 tests. Do your best and pay attention and you should get an A! Responds fast to emails, lots of extra credit, and a kind professor!
Dr. Davis is one of the best Lit professors I've had. Not only does she pick enjoyable pieces of literature for us to read, but she also created amazing lectures to explain the main ideas of the texts. She told us everything we needed to know which was super helpful b/c sometimes I would lose focus. Super easy quizzes. 3 tests, 2 projects. Take her
Professor Davis is the best! The class is made up of weekly quizzes, 4 tests, 2 mini projects (super easy), and 5 discussion posts. She is super easy to reach outside of class and responds to emails quickly. I would definitely take her if you can!
This professor seems very nice. There is a lot of reading, and no essays, but rather two projects that are really fun. Its not a class for learning, but if you just need to get the credit over with, and you are okay with reading a lot then this professor is good. Her discussions are also very fun usually, and there is a ton of extra credit.
there's a weekly quiz on whatever story we're covering and 4 exams, but there is no lockdown browser for any of them. 2 projects that just require some effort for an A. There are discussions but you can just do 5 throughout the semester for full credit. Very easy class.
Took this class online for the summer (2 week course). 3 exams, no lockdown, multiple reading quizzes that are ways if you read and open note & no lockdown, 2 projects (put effort into it). We didnt have to but a textbook but we did buy a movie. I ended with an A. She offered extra credit opportunities as well. TAKE HER!
Took her 2 week may session class and it was very manageable, only 1-3 hours of work a day. She is very generous and offers extra credit too. Just keep up with the work and you'll do fine. Take her!!!
I loved Dr. Davis. She was very clear about her expectations and graded fairly. I usually hate english but she made it bearable. I would totally take her again for future courses. She was also very quick about responding to emails.
She is very fair, and give you a week to do the work. This is an easy A, definitely take her class.
Dr. Davis was the best choice for the last English class I needed, she gives easy quizzes each week over the text provided with just five discussions you need to participate in the entire semester. She is very understanding and the work isn't really hard, just put the time into it. The test is open note, with no lockdown, and no camera.
Dr. Davis is one of the kindest teacher at Kennesaw! Always there to help and although it was an online class, she has obviously mastered it. Quick with responding and the fastest grader I've ever seen, she is definitely worth taking. Tests and weekly quizzes aren't that hard and I felt like the course load wasn't overwhelming. Take her!
Dr. Davis is super understanding and made a content-heavy class pretty simple. You get a reading each week, a quiz, with 4 tests and 10 discussion posts where you choose 5 to complete. Tests and quizzes are easy if you do the reading, and not as much writing as I thought there would be. If you need an ENGL credit and hate writing this is perfect!
I attended a Maymester session with her, she made the lesson so simple. Our work was labeled by date, so you knew what you needed to complete each day. She was a lightning-fast grader. Normally, we received our grades for our assignments the next day. She also answered extremely swiftly to emails if you had a question, usually within 24 hours.
So easy and and interesting class to take. The discussions are fun to do, and she gets the grading turned back to you pretty quick! Take her if you can!
Great professor! No essays, no final, no absurd amount of work, 8 discussion posts (only required to do 4), weekly quizzes, 4 tests (no lockdown or webcam), 1 easy project & a quick grader. Take her if you can!
I took Prof Davis' online ENGL1102 class and it was pretty easy. Obviously, as an English class, there was a lot of reading, but honestly for some of the harder/longer works you can use spark notes. Easy reading quizzes and just one project. I recommend her!
8 discussion posts (only required to do 4), weekly quizzes, 1 easy project. She can be a bit of a tough grader, but she will answer any questions you have.
Good online teacher, pretty easy work load. Theres a lecture and a quiz each week but very short. Only 4 discussion posts but you have to make conversation with replies. The tests are open note, will be hard if you don't actually read the text, so you have to read. Only 1 major project.
Ms. Davis is a great teacher. Responded to emails fast and wanted to help you on any questions you have. Gives tons of extra credit. 8 opt-in discussions in the semester, but you only do 4 for full credit, do all for extra credit. Quizzes almost every week, 4 tests, no final or midterm. NO PAPERS.
This professor is a good option if you plan to put in the minimum, and a great option if you invest even more. She gives awesome feedback on the semester project, making it very clear she fully reviews it and understands it. This course required easy annotation of 6 out of ~12 readings, and participation in 2 out of 6 easy discussions + a fun proj.
Dr. Davis was amazing! Her class is super easy if you read the readings and read the lectures before taking quizzes. She's very reasonable with grading and assignments + gives great feedback in a respectable time frame. I would take her again!!
Easy course-load: Weekly reading quizzes over short excerpts, two discussions, four unit exams plus annotations, and one project. She is great and will keep you updated!
