She is so different than any teacher I've ever had! It is very refreshing. Be ready to work though. But don't worry you will have fun at the same time! She is hilarious!

Hands down- the BEST public speaking teacher!!! I went into that class totally shy and afraid to talk to people, and then came out of it totally confident and more outgoing. She showed me things in myself I didn't even know were there!!! Definitely take her for public speaking- she's the best!!

I expected to go in and be flat bored and talking about dumb topics. WRONG! I've never had more fun! I don't think I've ever learned before! You talk about things you care about and are NEVER bored. Teachers don't care like her anymore. Ms. Horrell, "rock it out!"

I took Intercultural online a few semesters ago and have been trying to get into others since. I learned and I didn't even know I was doing it. She's tricky! It's a lot of fun and very useful. Practical and creative. In my opinion, sweet as hell.

She invests herself in you. You do a lot of activities and a lot of work, but I can't tell you how many time class made my day. You get out what you put in and so far, I've learned so much.

She is a very helpful teacher! She makes the class fun! It is an easy A, and she wants you to make an A in her class! It was defintely one of my favorite classes ever! I highly reccomend Ms. Horrell because the way she teaches is also unique and you will learn alot from her and how to speak pubically!

This woman is an amazing professor! She will make you love public speaking. I know that sounds so odd but it's so true. She will force you out of your comfort zone and will make you comfortable with speaking to people. If you have to take public speaking or if you just want to take it, she's the one to take for this class. Best professor ever.

This class was an experience. I never expected to walk away learning so much about myself and how I view others. She embodies the lessons that she teaches: empathetic listening, self esteem, communication, etc. I loved her class and loved her! Her favorite quote: "Will it be easy? Nope. Will it be worth it? Absolutely!"

She is a covert genius. She will know more about you than you do by the end of the first class. She asks two things of you trust the process and be honest with yourself. She will never tell you to read the book; but if you follow the syllabus and read week to week you will see that she is. When the girls call it no makeup Monday your doing it right

Ms. Horrell is amazing! She's hilarious and really connects with her students. I learned a lot about myself throughout this class. The only bad part is she doesn't give study guides for exams, so I didn't feel as prepared as I could have. But overall, the class was great.

I'm proud to be a Horrellion. Who's with me? She's a communications wizard and her personality is magnetic. You'll work harder in her classes than you ever thought possible. It is worth it! Take her! I'm ready to "go sparkle!"

On the 1st day of class it was obvious that she absolutely LOVES what she does! She has a passion to make sure that you succeed in and outside her class. Horrell was intimidating the first day she walked into the classroom. It took about three class periods for me to realize how much she cares about our success. She challenged me and forced me to open new doors in my life. Her class made me a comfortable confident public speaker. If you like a challenge and seeing results, take Horrell.

I took Mrs. Horrell for Public Speaking in 2016. The first day of class I wanted to drop her and get a professor that was not going to scare me. She is truly an amazing professor. She will push you to your limit and step out of your comfort especially if you are shy and quiet like I was. She believes in all her students and wants you to succeed.

Ms. Horrell seems intimidating at first however, she is just setting the bar high for you to surpass her expectations. She will continually give feedback and help you out until you arrive at the point where she sets you free without any more help. Everything she does is for the betterment of yourself and your grade.

Make sure to always be on top of things.A good grade is possible but she does not cut slack and she will push you hard.

Ms. Horrell's class will challenge you to be the best version of yourself, not just in college, but also in your future. Tough but really worth it

She was the best teacher I have ever had. She really cares about you and wants you to improve. You will do well in her class if you show up on time, try your best, listen to her critiques and read the text. I have personally really grown as a person since finishing her class and I learned a ton, so thankful for the opportunity to take her class.

I absolutely LOVED her, she does make you work for it and sometimes it get challenging, but she does it to help you grow into a better speaker. If I could take her again, I would for sure!!!!!

Ms. Horrell is the most caring and hilarious professor I have ever had. Get ready for an exposure of various learning styles made to challenge you, but to also grow from. This class will expose you in the spotlight which can be very intimidating at first, but well worth it in the end. You will be ready to take on the world after surviving her class

You know teachers that teach because they love it? She is not one of them. Literally look for any other public speaking teacher. She doesnt seem to understand that this is just a mandatory class not a high level speech and debate class.

I thought I would hate this class but she made me like it. She really boosts your confidence and you really improve as a person in this class. You will learn a lot and it is worth taking. She is funny and builds a relationship with everyone. I would take her again, she is a real confidence booster.

Absolutely the BEST! Her teaching style and vibe is unmatched.

She will challenge you but her teaching style is one of the best I have ever seen. She helps build your confident and you have a closeness to the other students in your class. She does offer extra credit through motivational quotes and class participation. She is very good at what she does and by far the best teacher I have ever had.

Public speaking is difficult, but Ms. Horrell will help you and give you everything you need to succeed in her class. She also holds workshops to provide help with your speeches. I highly recommend going to those, they will help you with any problems you have with your speech. In this class, you must put in the effort, you will not pass otherwise.

This class is very different from public speaking. Be prepared to participate and contribute to group and class discussions. The bonds you will create with your classmates are incredible and sometimes you won't even feel like this is a class, but a big hangout session with your friends. This class is extremely fun but DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!

Ms. Horrell was AWESOME! Probably one of the best professors I've ever had. I was so terrified going into public speaking and I had no idea what to expect. Be warned; her personality is a lot. But she's also one of the most caring people I've ever met. She genuinely wants you to succeed and makes it a fun and interesting class.

Mrs. Horrell is absolutely amazing, recommend 100%, an amazing learning experience. I am so shy & thought Public Speaking class would be awful=NO. This is the class that I wished to be in. She is enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and targets all student's learning styles/methods=provides clear instructions. Not hard class but put in work.

she's great. i was nervous to take her bc of how many people were obsessed with her, but its because shes that nice. if you're anxious she will absolutely work through it with you, and she can accommodate you easily as long as you let her know whats up early. you'll get assigned a day to bring an inspirational quote, set a reminder for it.

The class itself isn't difficult. Ms. Horrell is able to make the class a little less stressful with her positive attitude. The hardest thing is getting in front of everyone for a speech.
