Professor Robinson is a great!!! She is very passionate about history and is amazing lecturer. As long as you show up to class and write the notes, you'll be good. It's not the easiest class, but definitely not the hardest. There's quizzes and a chapter a read every week. She get's straight to the point during lectures and doesn't waste time.

Dr. Robinson is an amazing professor. You can tell that she really cares about the subject and she wants her students to learn and care about it as well. Attendance is mandatory and is figured into your overall grade. Even if it wasn't, I would recommend attending lecture because she covers everything that will be on the exams very thoroughly!

Doc Robinson is an angel. Super funny, incredibly intelligent. Put in the work and you'll be fine. Probably the most human of all of my professors. Get the textbook, you'll need it. Sit near the front. Make friends with her and her IA. She loves people who ask questions so show up to office hours. The class is kinda hard but Doc makes it worth it.

Professor Robinson was by far my best professor this semester. You do have to read because there will be quizzes but she literally tells you what is going to be on the quiz. She doesn't play when it comes to test time but she gives the best lectures. You do have to study but she makes the reviews so easy for you to use!!

I had Dr. R my first semester of college and she is still by far my favorite professor. She lectures quick gets straight to the point and then lets you go. She gives you all the information you need and at the same time keeps it interesting. Even for history. Super organized and on top of questions and emails. She's super cool. Take her class.

Her class was hard though, the class is writing intensive so you really have to understand the information to pass. And you have to go to class every day or else you will not pass, but if you go you'll most likely get an A.

A great but hard professor to take. Doesnt post any notes on TRACS so going to class is important. You have to take good notes in order to have the right information. Only a mid term and a final and then group projects mixed in with a book analysis and primary source document readings. go to class, take good notes, and study and you can make an A.

Hands down my favorite professor ever! I would take her a million times again. The C was my fault for lack of effort, but I know tons of people who made an A. She makes lecture enjoyable and notes are super easy to take with the way she teaches. Show up to class because her tests reflect most if not all of your notes. ID's and Essays make up tests.

Was this course hard? Absolutely. But she made the course interesting and prepared us for the exams as best as she could (without giving us the answers). Professor Robinson was one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures were so engaging; I found myself repeating random facts I learned to people around me. She creates the class so that the exams are only worth 40% of your grade; even if you managed to get a 0 on both, you would still pass. She was also very understanding and caring!

I have no idea what was going on behind the scenes, but the amount of work that she assigned was absolutely massive and I couldn't keep up for most of the time, resorting to basically isolating myself from everyone and doing nothing but the work in order to struggle to pass.

I had previously taken 1320 with her in person and I managed to get an A in her class. Her lectures are bearable and with a little effort an A is manageable. This semester I took her 1310 class online and it was literally a breeze. No need for any lectures just read the book and you'll be fine. Easy A. 10/10 recommend her online class.

Prof R is a great prof. She's understanding and flexible with your input & questions. There's a fair amount of papers, but that's normal for any history class like this and she seriously makes it as easy as possible. She records all her lectures and posts them after. If you take notes, it makes the midterm and final super easy. I'd def recommend

Professor Robinson was by far the best teacher i took this semester and was very online format friendly. When i say attendance is not mandatory is because she records lectures for you to watch later BUT you have to watch the lectures for the exams. The textbook is a mandatory book she assigns for an assingment.

Robinson genuinely loves history and tries to express her passion through her teaching. She is a wonderful, caring professor who tries to make the material as digestible as possible, but her lectures are your lifeline. Her GAs or TAs will grade your papers and they're not easy graders either.

Prof Robinson was really sweet! She chose to go online for Fall2020, and recorded lectures for those that didn't attend. She wanted us to be successful and really grasp the content. And I know she went above and beyond to do so. There are a lot of papers in the class, but it is a history class so thats expected.

Dr. Robinson is by far the GREATEST professor I have had at TXST. She spells everything out in the syllabus: all of her expectations, due dates, extra-credit opportunities, EVERYTHING. Also, she emails you back quickly whenever you email her. She is so responsive, and genuinely cares that you do well in her class. READ and you will pass.

Ive taken Hist1320 twice now and my first professor was horrible, but professor R. Was nothing like her. She was amazing, her lectures were engaging. The only textbook was an assigned reading (not long) that was pretty engaging to read as well. Only a handful of assignments, and if you go to office hours and SI sessions they help w/ your essays.

I love Dr. Robinson shes the funniest professor I've ever had and she really cares about her students. SHE WANTS YOU TO GET AN A !!! you just have to put In the work for it which is just showing up to lecture and taking notes because you are only allowed to use lecture material on her papers. Although attendance isn't mandatory, you need to go so you can get good notes because you use lecture material for tests, which mainly consisted of short answer questions and a long essay. History isn't my strongest subject, but she made the class fun and her lectures were very easy to comprehend. Her T.A. would give feedback for every assignment.

She makes lectures engaging, she gives extra credit for attending SI sessions, and she literally provides you with the sequence of which essays should go. Depending on which prompt you choose, she gives you the terms and people in sequential order she wants them in for your essay.

Professor Robinson was my favorite professor this semester! She truly cares about her students understanding of the content in lectures but also about their mental health. Robinson opens a lot of assignments on the 1st or 2nd day of classes, which is super helpful so you can get ahead! Always look at rubrics and due dates so you can stay ahead.

Dr. Allison Robinson is an amazing professor and I love her lectures. She posts the assignments at the beginning of the year and gives a day grace period. However the IA that grades the assignments grades extremely hard. It's hard to get an A in this class because of her so beware.

Okay, Professor Robinson is great. She gives 24 hour grace periods for all assignments including the final. She gives extra credit and is quite responsive to emails. The IA's who grade assignments can sometimes be a little picky with assignments but if you show up and engage with the lectures , you will more than likely get an A.

She gives a rubric, leaves a lot of comments on your assignments, hosts review sessions, and will look over your outlines before you even start writing your essay. Maybe if this spammer studied more instead of trashing good profs she'd do better in the class.

Class is all lecture; grades are a few assignments and a few essays. Robinson's lectures are enjoyable, and I don't like history. She has an upbeat and engaging attitude so paying attention and understanding is not difficult. Paying attention is counted as part of attendance. There are SI sessions and office hours to help students.

She is so kind and her lectures are actually pretty entertaining. To pass you have to attend class and take notes, because all assignments are based on lectures and YOUR notes. She does talk a little fast, she is aware of it but she hasn't done anything about it. Grading is a little tough, kind of nit picky and not many assignments are given.

Dr. Robinson has been such a fantastic professor. Attendance is mandatory, but she does offer half a letter grade added to your final grade if you attend with only 3 abscesses. The textbook is provided free by the school. The assignment is straightforward if you have attended class and taken notes. Overall an easy A and a fun class.

I had her twice now, this is how I got an A+ both times. you NEED to show up. write down a sum of what she says for each slide, and listen when she answers her own central questions at the end. do that you are guaranteed to get an A.

I absolutely LOVED taking Honor's American History through Memoirs. Dr. R's teaching style heavily relies on lectures so TAKE DETAILED NOTES. This class felt more like a book club than a lecture class; reading about history through the eyes of those who voices were silenced. Don't even think about copying/plagiarism (just quote something correctly)

I think everybody should take her if they can her lecturing style is above and beyond what u could ask for, I took her for both 1310 and 1320. Only thing is the SIs are unnecessarily tough graders and mine took points off for grammar when the professor said she doesn't take points off for grammar. I did far better in 1310 bc I had better SI

As someone who absolutely HATES history, this was honestly the best class I have taken so far in college. I took this class during the summer so experiences may be different. 5 question multiple-choice quiz every week & only 2 papers, neither of which were difficult at all. Attending lectures or watching the recordings is VERY recommended!

I loved this proffessor however I will say, the teacher aids do grade VERY hard. Even following the rubric to a tee will not get you an A. She advertises that there are no wrong answers and as long as you have a strong structures support to your claim you should be fine, but... this just isn't true.

She delivers good and entertaining lectures, which is great because you are only allowed to use your lecture notes on the written exams. Attendance is 20% of your grade, and if you never come to class you will be screwed. TA's do most of the grading and they can be a little tough with it. I actually found this course pretty interesting.

She is an amazing professor and makes history so interesting. The only thing is that an SI grades your papers and they are tough graders. I got one bad grade in that class from the first essay we had and it kept me from getting an A however every other aspect of this class is great!

When I had some family issues going on with an assignment due, I sent her an email and she gave me an additional 3 days to submit the assignment.

I think Mrs. Robinson is a really good history teacher, she mostly does powerpoint presentations but teaches in a way that I found was very easy to understand and learn. There are daily quizzes in her classes, but they aren't hard if you pay attention in class. As well as she gives you the bigger writing assignment weeks in advance.Highly recommend

Quizzes at the end of every lecture but they were super easy as long as you actually paid attention, we had a few writing heavy assignments but overall this was way better than my last history class and highly recommend

Her lectures are very easy to follow and engaging. She paints an easy-to-understand story of U.S. history, and doesn't require you to remember boggy things like names and dates. There are no exams; just take-home essays that you have weeks to complete. You can use your notes and the people around you on the in-class final. She very obviously cares.

Attendance is based off daily quizzes worth 5pts every day, if you miss class, you miss the quiz. She is very knowledgeable, funny, and kind. This is not a blow off class! There are multiple essays you have to write, if you are not a history major/minor/love history, maybe find an easier professor cause her class is a lot of work.

I really enjoyed Dr.Robinsons class, she is super funny and an amazing lecturer. She does attendance by submission of lecture notes and all of her assignment are only to be completed from your notes and what she provides you with, so it is super important that you take VERY detailed notes. There are no in class exams, all exams are take home papers

This is a very basic class that goes over stuff you've likely already learned, but Dr. Robinson likes to highlight contributions of people of color and LGBTQ+ people. Attendance is taken based on a seating chart and if you submit your lecture notes. There are a few writing assignments but if you read the instructions and put in effort it's not bad.

Her lectures are great! I actually looked forward to this class every week. She'll even read over assignment before it's due AND she gives SO much extra credit!!! I got a 102% in the class and really wasn't that hard.
