She is no longer late for the classes,and she now gives you a grade for attendance+participation. She is very organized and standard, teaching from the book,gives you a chance for extra credit.Study book and don't forget to participate, she loves that you are proactive and have a voice and opinion.

She is very nice and professional. Knows her stuff and gives you great examples to make the class easier. I don't know why people were saying she is always late- she was never late in my class. Also an easy test (right from the book) and great videos to make the material more tangible.

Very good professor, especially when compared to most. Her tests are not hard, multiple choice and come straight from the book, all you have to do is just read. Gives extra credit unlike most teachers. which can make that letter grade difference. I recommend that people take her; even if you struggle that extra credit can make a huge difference.

I didn't like her class in the beginning, but it's not so bad. read the pages, and study the vocab and you'll be fine. she gives good extra credit and is extremely knowledgeable on the subject. She doesn't expect everyone to know as much as she does. Take notes, come to class, READ, and you'll be fine.

Ms Gerson would make an excellent high school teacher, but conducts her class at a juvenile level for college. She reads her lectures from the text book and requires students turn in vocabulary words for each chapter. On the plus side, she gives a lot of extra credit opporunties, and encourages class participation.

This professor is great. I got and A and I only studied her notes. Advise: Be sure to write all of her notes. Her notes are 95% of all the tests. Quizzes are a review for each test. Also, try to be on time for her classes, she will give you points for it, or you will lose points if you miss class. She is very helpful. Great teacher!!!

She is absolutely nice!but She requires a lot of reading!!! her test are not too hard. Everything is multiple choice but you have to write a response paper which are basically "what did you like on the chapters" and that sucks!You have to work if you want an "A" but you will like her.Extra credit available.

Prof.Gerson's class was very straight forward..no unwelcomed surprises on tests. Her tests came directly from the book and her lectures/power points. She is goofy. But she is very nice and she teaches psychology well. She takes off points if your absent.. but she posts all of the notes that she goes over on i-collge (loved that). This class is all about memorization.. if you study all her notes before quizes and exams, you will most definitely pass with an A.

Very, smart and experienced individual. ALL we did was take notes ALL class period to much to write. HARD TO PASS!! TEST AND QUIZES ARE HAARRD!!!!! I got used to her by the end of the semester , but would never take her again I struggled but a lot of my classmates did just fine.

Professor Younkins is an awesome professor! As long as you do the readings, homework and participate in class you will do well. Her lectures are interesting and fun.

Professor Younkins is by far my favorite professor so far. She is upfront about class grading criteria and the test/quiz questions are straightforward and right out of the book. Study guides are also available along with class slides. She is also really nice and easy to follow.

Pretty strict on phones and laptop usage but as long as you participate, having your laptop won't be an issue. Amazing lecture and a genuine educator! She offers two extra credit assignments that go towards tests. Attendance is mandatory because she grades you on that. I recommend anyone to take this professor!!! 10/10

However, you must learn by yourself IN DETAIL of each chapters. 3 quizzes, 3 exams, 3 response papers how you think after learning, and 1 hw. 2 extra credit chances. Lots of vocab. Great class. Lectures are with Powerpoints so they are easy to follow. Quizzes and tests are all multiple choice. Prof gives studt guides. The three papers are pretty easy too, 500-750 words. Put in a little effort and you can easily make an A.

Her lecture are very long, but they are worth it, because that's basically the test and quizzes. 3 response paper, 3 quizzes, and 3 test.

Very good professor. Clearly explains things and is clear about what will be on the test. She goes into great detail during lectures so don't skip and pay attention. This is an easy class at all to get in an A in if you study and the studying isn't even that extensive. Just make flashcards over the key concepts and you should make A's on the tests.

I loved professor Younkins' class. She knows how to engage her students with each lesson and is very insightful with each topic covered in her psych class. Love her class! Lectures are engaging and she loves answering any questions you might have during class. All quizzes and exams are multiple-choice and she gives a study guide for each chapter to go off of. If you attend class, read, and study the key terms from the guide , you won't have a problem passing.

Great! I really loved Professor Younkins class and would highly recommend her to anyone who's curious to learn about psychology. I excelled in this class and appreciated her lecture style. The only critique I have is that I do believe it is a bit unfair to have attendance count for 10% of our grade and I wish she encouraged more class discussion.

I loved her class so much but you do have to read to get good grades on tests, she's really understanding and nice. She gives some leeway with grading and you do have to be comfortable interviewing people for her assignments.

Mrs. Younkins is an AMAZING professor. She's great in lecture and is really good about answering questions. I 100% recommend her if you're taking Psych 1101. Professor Younkins was the best professor I had during my time at GSU perimeter. You know when you're taking an exam and your mind goes "This was NOT taught during the lecture."?; I can 100% guarantee that is not the case for her class. She goes over anything and everything that will be present on every exam/quiz. She's an amazing prof.

We had 8 discussions, 8 quizzes, 2 test. All you have to do is the work.

She reads off PowerPoints but adds many real-life examples that make concepts easy to understand and interesting. We had a few quizzes and 3 tests all multiple-choice mainly based on vocabulary from the textbook and some examples from the PowerPoint given in class. Overall an easy class, she is very lively and makes the class fun, would recommend.

Highly recommend! The workload's not bad: some discussions, a few quizzes, a few tests, and an extra credit essay. Grades for attendance but it helps your average.
