She's an extremely rude and unhelpful teacher.

This woman was probably once an interesting and dynamic teacher. However, at this time she is overwhelmed with personal problems which have overtaken her ability to teach AT ALL.She loses tests, can't remember which chapters she assigns, leaves the room during quizzes, frequently leaves the room several times during each class session.DO NOT TAKE

She is wacked OMG you take a test every class and you only learn from the test if anything. I don't know how I got an A+ but I learned more from a 5 min clip on Youtube about a subject she was teaching. then she misses classes. She needs to go DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS she did not show up half the semester and now no credit.

Had her last semester. She had a bad habit of not showing up. It was cool at first, but then she started giving us exams on the material that we were supposed to cover the previous class. She is a very sweet women, but I really did not learn anything in her class because all we did was take tests and leave.

Not recommended. Lacks everything a proper instructor should have.

This professor is probably the most unorganized "professional" I have had in my four years here at Worcester State. I am currently mid way thru the semester and couldn't tell you one thing I have learned in this class, which is sad because it has the potential to be very beneficial for this major. It baffles me that she has a legitimate job here.

An easy A, but at the cost of your sanity. You either sit there and do nothing or work on meaningless group exercises. Gives vague instructions yet gets angry if you ask *any* questions. Expect 1 to 2 quizzes a week and 1 online discussion a month.

If you can skip having this professor for your whole academic career, then please do. She isn't a harsh grader, but she is harsh with comments. She is very specific when it comes to papers, so if you follow the guidelines you will do fine but they are just outrageous. The way she comments on papers is rude and she isn't organized on the syllabus.

If you don't have to take her don't. She hardly teaches but expects you to know what she wants out of you. She is rude and condescending in her feedback and unhelpful if you have a question. She does not know how to operate Blackboard so finding assignments is difficult

Very difficult course that I wish I dropped, or at least had a different professor. No feedback is given on assignments. Expects you to look to the syllabus or the writing center for any questions, and to use email as a last resort. I am in my 3rd year and have taken online classes before, but I have never failed so many assignments in my life.

Worst professor I've had here so far. She doesn't care about her students, she doesn't let you contact her by email outside of class and doesn't know how to work blackboard so you'll never know if you're failing! She expects you to automatically know everything. Don't take her.

Absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had in college. Unorganized, rude, unhelpful, and passive aggressive. Critics who call out her poor teaching and organization often have their names put in emails sent to the entire class. Extremely strict. Do not take her classes if you can avoid it.

Professor Carroll from the start seems like a cool and wacky professor that will provide and interesting class. She is anything but. By far the worst professor in the department, awful does not begin to describe her. She doesn't teach but still gives group projects on chapters that are never mentioned in class. Seriously, do not take her classes.

Shes very bad professor. She doesnt know how to teach, also she never explains anything in the class. She just wants as to do the tests without her explanation. I will never take classes with her again.

when you email her she is very vague she never answers questions, i have emailed her soo many times and she doesnt respond clearly i had her for an online class and i was so lost and confused i dropped the class. good luck if you have to take her not the best online teacher!

Your entire grade is based on 3 tests and 3 journal summaries. Her tests are really hard and cover a lot of material. Maybe she used to be a great professor but she has gone downhill.

Don't take unless you want to fail . Hands down the most unfair when it comes to grading and workload. Nothing is ever good enough. Horrible experience and worst class I have ever taken.

Very difficult grader, gives grades back very late, sometimes months after the assignment was due. Also is very difficult to reach, especially over email.

This professor personifies the old adage, "Those who can, do. Those who cannot, teach." Her method of "helping a student" comes in the form of hir reciting theories and studies that are marginally related to any issue the student may or may not be having. Also, not very timely for a professional.

It's not that he "tells a lot of stories" it's that her entire class is stories that are only about 50% relevant. Test questions are majority text based but a few are based on stuff she throws out in class between stories. The class requires a bit more effort on your part and isn't EXTREMELY hard unless you're an auditory learner like me.

A test every single week, which are very confusing, a confusing group project is required. Lots of work, this might be the first class I fail at Worcester State and I am 8 classes away from my BA.

This "proffesor" is the most arrogant person I have met in my life! I feel sorry for her as she seems to have inferiority issues! Please dont take this professor LOT of homework, reading and thinking. It is just a class not a "PHD" course

Gives many quizzes with very little time to prepare. She takes off many point if you get the right answer not doneHERway. Unfair particpation grade.

Unable to answer questions independently of syllabus or "department." Graded work was returned timely and complete but singularly focused on formatting. Limited feedback on completed work aside from grade. Not an unfair grader.

She is rude and dusts off people the have opposing opinions to her on. I didn't learn anything at all from her. The only way I gained any knowledge on this class was by reading the book.

By far the worst professors I have had in my college career. She's the type of professor that sets her expectations high but will not give you the guidance needed to succeed and meet those expectations. She also spends most of the class at the Starbucks on campus, which is very frustrating to someone spending large amounts of money to attend.

Does this first year lecture as though you're a 4th year chem major. She doesnt explain things and just assumes you know how to do it and the class is just a review.

Late to every single class. Pretty obvious that She doesnt wanna be there. Very condescending and says borderline racist, ignorant things. People didnt like asking questions because she gives horrible feedback and doesnt try to actually help. Hypocritical how she grades highly for topics that she personally likes but her topics never interested us.

She's very arrogant. Her high pitched teaching voice gets softer as class goes on. She speaks a strange version of American English that's not always clear. I would avoid her classes.

She ridicules you for not knowing answers or getting things wrong. She laughs right at you. Makes attendance mandatory but doesnt actually teach you anything during the lectures.

Fast unclear lecturer. Will not stop to answer student questions or slow down. assigns a ton of homework which is not helpful for her tests. tests have nothing to do with lecture.

If you have her as a teacher, drop the class immediately. She makes a class thats suppose to be something fun into a huge project and has high criteria when it comes to grading your work. She will also criticize your work in front of the whole class.

Horrible professor, I wouldnt not recommend taking it to anyone. You can study your butt off for a test and still get a F or D. Class averages for exam are usually a high F or D. For the midterm grades she only submits her test one grade so it makes your grade looks awful.

way too much homework due in little time. final is on campus, hopefully ill be able to pass. i just recommend taking a different teacher and definitely on campus.

This teacher gave no curve. The material was not based on the text book !!! Attendance is mandatory 1 point off your total grade if you come in late or absent. avoid if possible.

She act like she is teacheing middle school or high school with all her rules

She isn't clear in her teachings and if you need an explanation she will say the material is high school and you should know it already. You will have to self teach and stay in the tutorial every waking chance.

What you learn in class has very little to do with the tests. You must learn all material on your own and be expected to memorize the book. Also, asking question are pointless in this class.

Going to class is a complete waste of time. She reads the powerpoint and adds nothing to it. The powerpoints are very comprehensive.

Exams are difficult to understand, many questions difficult to understand in lectures, Grades are always low for everyone.

Make sure you aren't accidentally enrolled for an online course; this happened to me and it was terrible. Shih's more than willing to help students out however She can, but I have no idea how well she actually teaches (though, his English can be unclear). Her tests never quite match the study material, so be on your toes for quizzes and exams.

This professor was horrible. She asked us to have the books on the second day of class. I even told her that I ordered my books online and they wouldn't come in another 4 or 5 days. She said that I should go to the bookstore and get books at the bookstore.I have no comment for her English ability.

On the 1st day of class my younger sibling approached her to discuss his learning disability. She immediately had an attitude, refused to help and did not believe him even though he has a file listing what his special needs are. Also, she wanted them to have a book immediately although she had not listed any info in the bookstore. Withdraw!!!

Very difficult class. Each test is very different - one test would focus on drugs and the next on the disease process. My only advise is memorize the book and know every single drug in it.

Very disrespectful, nasty, and flat out shouldn't be working in this field. She criticizes you for small mistakes, adding words in all caps to hit home how idiotic she thinks you are. She also blames you for her own mistakes, claiming a link I sent her didn't work despite me pasting it in my browser and it works flawlessly.

She not only is a terrible professor but also a terrible person, will go out of her way to let you know how stupid she thinks you are. Should absolutely not be in this field and haven't heard one good thing about her from a single other student. If you can avoid having her as a professor or as an advisor, do it.

She is so rude for no reason. She makes everything difficult and confusing, and if you miss one day for something even if it should be excused, expect to have issues with her. I know multiple people along with myself who have went to the president with complaints.

Alta should not be teaching. She has no respect for her students and I know so many people who have complained about her. She constantly belittles her students and makes it difficult to ask for help. I honestly have no words how to describe her. The whole class filed a complaint about her because of how unprofessional she is as a professor. No self-respect whatsoever. I barely learned anything in her Intercultural class even though we did all her assignments. Avoid her at all costs!
