One of my favorit classes at UHCL. Dr. Erdem is very funny and has a great sense of humor. Meterial covered in class was very interesting.

Erdem was a good professor, but was unreasonable re: subjective grading crit. I made As on both exams, but bcz of a grp mistake due to unclear rules by Erdem, ended w/ an A-, while other grps benefited from our mistake & got As w/ bad test scores.

This professor does not waste time. He gets in goes over the importance of the chapter. You must be diciplined and ready to learn. He is an excellent teacher but expects the student to do their part in regards to studing.

Overall, great professor. His class is challenging; however, he gives great insight into all aspects of marketing. He's also very friendly and is more than happy to share with you his passion for motorcycles.

This class was very challenging. You will need to spend plenty of time studing for tests and projects. Make sure that you spell check your work.....he counts off big time for errors. Personally Dr. Erdem is very nice and likeable. He makes you feel that he really does care.

hard class,hard teacher. you will gain much knowledge in his class. His grading is very hard, especially in grammar and spell check. He gives a lot of trick questions after your group's presentation. Be prepare, this is a required class for Marketing major and he is currently the only professor for this class. Good luck!

He is one of the most interesting professors. Great lecturer and really know's his stuff. His test are very hard and when grading your two group projects, he is very unreasonable and will count off for small mistakes.

Take this class very serious. Devoke study time at least once a week. Take good notes and read the text and you should do fine on the test! Good Luck!

He is a pretty good professor. His class did not seem that hard for me as long as you keep up with your work and make most of the lectures.

He is a tough, but really good professor. You have to go to class and work for your grade. His test are pretty hard so you must take it seriously. I learned alot.

He is an easy, funny & interesting teacher. Just go to class (in case of a "pop quiz"), pay attention to his SHORT, INTERESTING lectures and do your group work and you will make a very good grade!

He is a really nice professor but make sure you pay attention. Lectures are short but he is sure to have an exam question in there that you won't find in the book.

Funny guy, fun class. Short lectures. There is a pop quiz every now and then, and he uses trick questions. Homework is easy (it is a group project). I have not taken a test yet, but we chose our own test questions, so it is going to be all memorization. Highly recommended.

This is a basic Mktg course. You do group assignments and its is best to find a group where everyone participates. If you follow all the guidelines to your assignments you shouldn't have a problem. He is very knowledgeable of MKTG practices and his sense of humor makes it a great class to attend. I would take another class from Dr. Erdem.

This class is designed to be passed with an "A". This classes success will depend on your group. Pick a group or he will assign you. The biggest thing is to make sure all group members hold their own weight and should work smoothly. The course work is presented well and the assignments are not difficult. Test is designed by the students.

Okay, his accent is NOT hard to understand, so I don't know what that other user is talking about. WE chose the questions for the tests, and if you have learned to memorize and regurgitate (which you should have learned by now), this class is the easiest A you will ever make. Prof. Erdem is super nice, funny, laid back, and very helpful.

One of the easiest A's you can make. The class makes up the questions for the final. He does give pop quizzes but he will give you the answer to the quiz the week before...all you have to do is pay attention when he tells you to and some of his pop quizzes are attendace pop quizzes.

Easy A! Don't buy the book (buy any old edition). Attend every class (longest class last semester was 40 minutes). Make sure you have a responsible group contact when forming your group. Only one test which is the final that the students create. Prodessor is entertaining too. Definitely take this class when you have a heavy load as a buffer.

Very easy class and he only keeps you there 1 hour. He is funny and interesting! Im taking his next class! Students make the final and get a review to match it! did not really do any assignments.

Dr. Erdem is a really nice man. If you are wanting to really learn the information, take another teacher but if you want an easy A for requires classes take him for everything he offers!! You don't have to go to class but group work & end of the semester presentation is required.

Dr. Erdem is an amazing teacher! Although people have stated that you don't use the book, I view the assignments as a gateway to use the book! The assignments help you understand each of the chapters!

This professor is great. He is there to make you enjoy the class not trying to make you fail. There were Quizzes everyday but he went over them before he gave it out. And the tests were not hard at all. Overall Super class and great guy.

He kept the lectures simple enough and to the point that anyone can get an A or a B so long as they're listening. Lectures were made relevant and something anyone can relate to. If you pay attention to the homework, the test's an easy A.

Very straight forward class, everyone's divided into groups, so as long as you're pulling your weight, your grade shouldn't be below an 85.

The class was huge so sit up front if you want to hear the lecture. Pop quizzes are from the lectures so take good notes. Comprehensive final exam has 30 multiple choice questions from questions you create in your weekly group activities. You better be able to work well with others! It's part of your grade. He's funny & quite entertaining!

This was by far my favorite class. The professor keeps the class interesting. I would recommend sitting in front, he lectures are to the point and he makes the class laugh. Work in groups to come up with questions which might be chosen for the final. Quizzes are given on previous lecture, if you take notes you shall be fine. Good Luck

This guy is a great professor. Tells a lot of corny jokes but they're still pretty funny. I don't recommend buying the book. You get in groups of 10 and each member comes up with 5 questions from a different chapter and that will be your final exam so just find someone to share with. You will need to show up for quizzes.

Great Professor! Must attend for pop quizzes. 1 test only and questions are taken from your weekly homework! Take him you wont regret it!

Very entertaining and informative class, professor is knowledgeable about the subject and keeps the class engaged. Students are grouped together for class assignments, and you have to use the textbook for these assignments. Excellent professor and class.

This professor is great! Love his class and looked forward to class every week =)He summarizes the chapter very well. I recommend his class to everyone! He encourages you to do well in everything and uses real life examples you can relate to. I recommend sitting at the front of the class, you will love it!

Class was wonderful! Professor makes you want to class every week. Looked forward to going to class. Very simple to understand the concept of Marketing the way he teaches it. He summarizes the chapter very well and you are divided into groups for the homework. I recommend sitting close to the teacher, he always tells funny stories!

Teaching style is different then usual teachers. Work load is not a lot. Pretty straight forward and easy class. Professor has a sense of humor and uses good examples to understand material. If you do not like working in groups this class would not be recommended for you.

He is amazing! I would take him for any marketing class and would recommend others to do so if it's part of their degree plan. The final was a piece of cake if you studied all the questions and have been paying attention. Class only lasts for about 1.5 hrs. Attend the classes only b/c he will give easy pop quizzes and some are based on attendance.

Amazing teacher. Pretty funny. Presents material in a manner that is easy to understand. Study the weekly questions and attend class (you don't stay the whole time anyway) and you'll definitely get an A. Final is super easy if you've studied the questions. Would take him for ALL marketing classes!!!!

Very cool & chill prof. Sad to say he isn't the best at teaching, he's just very easy. Gives random pop quizzes that are worth 20% so try not to miss class. You make your own questions for the final, so just go over them. Lectures are pointless but on the real, take him. You shouldnt make less than a B+. Dont rentbuy the book go to the library.

one of the best professor at UHCL, very easy class everyone should make A in his class. Even a monkey could pass Erdem class, I would definitely take him again he only keep you in class for 10min.

A good class to take. Will only do a final exam, few pop quizzes so you must be present in class. Also group assignments which are REALLY easy to do.

Easy Class. Show up to class and beware if you don't, you just might miss a quiz. If you miss to many, well there goes your grade. Beware of group work. Do it and do it right, if not it'll come back to bite you at the end of the semester. Easy, but don't take that for granted, an effort still must be put forth. Grading is set up that way.

I took him for MARKETING RESEARCH - ONLINE 10 % - Intro discussion board 15% - V8 Video questions 15% - Focus Group Video Questions 15% - Paco Underhill Video Questions 15% - Battleship Article Questions 30% - Market Analysis Paper NO FINAL - I ended up with a 97% and did not touch the book once

Great professor, his lectures are always great. A big percentage of your grade is the group grade. Each week y'all create a 5 question test from the chapter. He chooses 3 groups each week. Which adds up to 150 questions in the end 30 of those questions will be the one he chooses for the Final Exam. Also BEWARE of POP QUIZZES it can POP UP ANY WEEK!

Professor Erdem is easily my favorite professor here at UHCL! He is incredibly knowledgeable, and he makes his class fun. I will be looking for more of his classes and taking him every chance I get!

If I could take him for every marketing class at UHCL I would. He is clear on what he expects from you, and he makes class fun! He does pop quizzes, but they are easy with only two questions. He will help you if you ask, and he is incredibly knowledgeable about marketing topics. Prof. Erdem is easily my favorite prof. at UHCL.

I love this professor! He is clear on what he expects and on the grading. I had to go out of town the week of finals and he made sure I was still able to do my final!! Gives awesome feedback on how you're doing in class. He cuts class a little shorter than usual, and is pretty funny!

took him online for marketing research. overall easy class but it takes 2-3 weeks to receive grades for assignments so be patient

I had online so if you take him in class it could be different. We only had 5 regular assignments. Getting an A is possible for sure tough grader. The assignments are really easy. The "final" is an 8 page essay if you try really hard you can make an A the paper is just very long.

I really did enjoy taking this course as my entrance course back into college. The professor was very understanding regarding student course loads and tried not to waste time with busy work. He was interesting and to the point with good real life stories/ examples to tie everything in.

There are few grades in this class so take that as you will. The class writes their own exam from the weekly assignments, so know your vocab and you'll be fine. All the assignments were done in groups so it made things easy. Having the book is key. Attend class just in case he gives a pop quiz. You'll always get out of class early anyways so go.

Dr. Erdem is the best. 5 pop quizzes which are two questions each and are easy! A group presentation which is also very easy! & he gives you the exact questions and answers on the final. Dr. Erdem is fantastic and cares so much about his students! If you can take him, take him!!!

He is super funny. group assignment every week: make up 5 test questions and read to class. These questions are what you study for the final (all of the classes questions)Pop quizzes count for 20% of grade. Just study what he writes on board. Easy A if you are there for pop quizzes. Overall very enjoyable class. Highly recommend

took this as a summer 5-week, super easy! consisted of 9 quizzes & 1000 wo paper which was opinionated. each quiz had a short lecture to watch before being taken. must watch, gives a specific password for each quiz that you need to get in. DON'T SHARE PASSWORDS w anyone, he knows if you've watched the lecture or not by tracking! no exams, take him!

Only graded on quizzes, which you must watch weekly videos, which were sometimes short, to get a password. take REALLY GOOD notes on his videos and the quizzes should be an easy 100, do not share passwords!! my only complain is that he can be a little rude, but its a very easy class if you work or are busy because it is very low maintenance.

Had weekly lecture videos that needed to be viewed the week of being posted in order to get the password for that week's quiz. Had 10 quizzes with 10 minutes to complete each with only 4 questions, one comprehensive quiz 20 minutes for 15 questions, and a student introduction. Quizzes 80%, Comp. Quiz 15%, Introduction 5%. Very straightforward.

Only 1 four-question multiple-choice quiz given on 1 day a week every week for whole semester and a final quiz at the end with 10 multiple-choice questions and that's it for the whole semester! Just have to watch his lecture videos every week before they are taken down before quiz and read the chapter. Questions are based on his lecture videos.

Taking this class for 5 weeks in the summer and it's super easy! 10 quizzes & 1 comprehensive quiz at the end. Videos are available the day before the quiz and are around 1 hour long (sometimes 1 hour & 30).The videos are super interesting and he gives out hints/answers for the quizzes. Definitely take him during the summer! Very responsive as well

Dr. Erdem is one of the best professor's I have had. I took him for 3 online classes and made an A in all. You MUST watch the video's and take notes. The book he references and I always purchased to follow along. Wish all professor's would teach like him!!

Easy workload. Watch his video lectures, take good notes, and read the chapters. One quiz per week, only 5 questions, 10 minutes total time per quiz, taken through respondus. The final consists of 10 questions. You have 20 minutes to complete it and you must review ALL your notes and re-watch all the videos.

100% online. You have to listen to lecture and take the quiz on the next Monday. No make ups if you miss it on Monday. Gives good information during lecture to pass each quiz (typically 5 questions). Helps to read the chapter as he usually drops in a question from the book. Manage your time well and you'll get a decent grade.

I was afraid to take Dr. Erdem prior to taking two classes with him however he is absolutely the best. Must watch lectures to pass quizzes. Quizzes are 5 questions with 10 mins, then 1 comprehension quiz at end of semester. Watch lectures twice and be sure to study notes. Erdem usually gives hints as to what will be on the quiz during the lecture.

Grading is based on chapter quizzes (5 questions/10 mins) and a final comprehensive quiz (10 questions). You either know the material or you don't—lectures are key. Pay attention, take good notes, and you can easily maintain a B. Summer course had 8 quizzes plus the final.
