He mixes up my History 1301 class with his other 1302 Class. He also comes to class and hands out the wrong papers. Its ridiculous! Use it to your advantage tho... thats my best advice!

He is an okay professor but you need to literally record what he says because he will switch his words around even with due dates and he doesn't give a crap. so take this class but record every word as insurance.

Professor Baines is very knowledgeable of history. If you haven't been in school for a very long time I recommend catching up on your history before taking his class. You have to reach the chapters to follow him because he's all over the place. Mr. Baines class was enjoyable. He gives opportunity for extra credit so complete it, it helps.

Awesome guy, not the greatest teacher though. His lectures were all over the place but if you read the text you should be fine. He really does care about the students. He gave me an A where I probably deserved a B.

He is by far the worst professor I have ever had. The lectures are all over the place and he constantly leaves out important information. In order to have a chance at doing well on the exams you have to read the book. He does offer extra credit and grades that very easily. He makes a big scene when students miss class.

Took this course over summer. Used the 5th edition of the textbook. Most test question can be found online on quizzlet. DONE TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE. You have to read every chapter otherwise you may miss a lot of questions. Gives EC through writing papers based on books that will be assigned in class, this is not mandatory.

I took his course over the summer. Really nice guy but lectures are a waste of time. He gets off topic a lot but he does give questions from the test. The rest of the questions come from out of nowhere. He did give a lot of extra credit opportunities and I managed to get a B. But i wouldn't take him again. Sweet person but TERRIBLE TEACHER.

He's a good guy but is lacking in the lecture dept definitely read the chapters. He gives solid reviews for the tests so nothing is a huge surprise. He graded easy on the essay, overall not much to complain about.

The tests questions were exactly the same as the practice quizzes on the book's website. Unfortunately I didn't figure that out until about mid-semester. The lectures were amusing, but didn't help as much or got off-topic. Use the practice quizzes and you'll pass no problem

Best professor at HCC. Just do the work, listen to exactly what he says in class, go back and read the chapters and youll pass. Hes not trying to make it tricky or difficult for students. I will take him again 10x

He's good, he just talks too much and tends to drift off topic during lectures so then I would space out when he would ramble on and by the time he would get back on track with the lesson I would start paying attention again and by then would of pretty much missed half of what he had been saying. If you good at reviewing the textbook u will be ok.
