she was terrible! doesnt explain a thing- when u ask her to she just tells u to teach it to urself and look it up in the textbook... her accent gets really annoying and just adds on to the bad atmosphere in the room... DONT TAKE HER CLASS!!!!

OHh man.. So boring in her class..she spends time on things that are irrelevant. She should just teach ONE problem and make sure we all understand rather than a million and not explain it right.

She teaches one section of the book a day, if you don't understand, she moves on. Cannot relate to students, cannot fully engage students in the subject, especially if math does not come easily. Simply, avoid her at all costs!!

She literally rushes through every topic without any regard for whether the students understands the material or not (we never did). In a nutshell "DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS", otherwise your GPA will suffer.

If you like every single class in literally fast forward, then by all means take the class. About 3/4's of my class dropped including me. Never wanted to attend, so if you can avoid taking her class

She just can't teach. Doesn't check webwork so don't bother doing it, no extra credit and no curve, though most people fail her tests. Said her tests would be like the manual but they turned out like the book. Don't listen to what she says because she'll only confuse you more. Be sure to study on your own. Drop the class if you can. I wish I had!

Half of the answers to the problems we did from the textbook (they're found in the rear of the book) we're deemed incorrect by Professor Rocha. The textbook does contain some errors, but they are VERY FEW. By solving problems incorrectly a great deal of frustration and confusion was generated. DO NOT TAKE HER. TRUST ME.

DO NOT TAKE HER. I had a 4.0 until I got a D in her class. She provided no help at all and even though I spent the entire semester in the tutoring center trying to learn pre-cal, it didnt help AT ALL. Nothing I did helped me in the class because she was TERRIBLE. DO NOT TAKE HER!!

Professor Rocha is a very good person but a very bad math teacher. Do not take her if you do not know calculus proficiently. She will confuse you. Take her if you know the subject and want to breeze through. Exams are extremely difficult and different from material she teaches.

WORST professor I have ever met. Does NOT know how to teach. Although she may be an intelligent person, she has no clue how to pass her knowledge on to anyone. I failed the class. She not only teaches really bad but doesn't help the students at all. I had the perfect attendance and did well on the exams but I guess I failed the final and she did not give me extra credit for anything. It is very sad because I wasted my time attending her class and have to take calculus again this semester. Don't take her!!

Out of about thirty five students at the beginning of the semester there are less than half still attending class and the majority of those students are looking to just pass, myself included. I wouldn't recommend taking her class unless you want to watch your GPA decline or retake the course because you failed it.

Worst teacher I have ever had dating back to kindergarten. I've gotten lower than an A- once in my college career and it was a B in an online course that I regret taking. I failed this class. She knows everything about math but knows nothing about how to pass it on. Was in a study group and we would all leave class having no idea what just happened

Horrible. Hard tests, doesn't explain or teach anything particularly well. Homework is useless if you don't know how to do it since she will only go over about 5% of it with you. This was my second time taking this class. Her first exam(85), second exam (55) I was late and I couldn't finish it,finally the third exam(98)they were easy, but I had to go to tutoring and do every single problem that was assigned in the homework sheet. She is a tough grader, I was only .02 away from getting a C- and she refused to average it out

This teacher knows what she's teaching, but makes a lot of minor mistakes and can't explain anything for the life of her. I would never recommend for anyone to take her class if they had the option. I am addicted to my textbook because it's the only hope I have for the department final.

She gives 3 exams and there is a departmental final. She rarely gives extra credit for work shown on the exam. She doesn't know anything about math herself, as she makes numerous mistakes herself, and complains that the textbook has wrong answers. Half the class dropped her, as clearly she doesn't know how to teach, nor answer students questions.

The worst professor I've EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. She pretty much doesn't prepare you for the final exam. She is horrible about explaining the steps to her students. She is always in a rush.Don't bother even trying to ask her for any type of curve or what so ever. Her grading policy is based on 3 exams and the final. NO curve. NO extra credit. Nothing.

Prof. Rocha is a very nice lady, however that doesn't change the fact that she CAN'T. Her lectures are more confusing than helpful. I didn't pay attention to her lectures, I went 2 tutoring 3X a wk and was able to get a B+. I studied for hrs every wk and I doubt any1 would be willing to put that much time n effort into 1 class. The Professor is horrible. Calculus is such an interesting subject and she just ruins it. Makes even simple calculations look so difficult. Her tests are fine. Just like the final manual but her lectures are of no help. the webwork tutorials are much better.

She is the absolute worst professor in all of Baruch. She cant teach for her life and she makes so many mistakes. Most of the class was spent correcting her mistakes. I'm not good at math and I was hoping she was good. My friend is a math genius and she is stuck with a C. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS UNLESS YOU WANT TO FAIL.

The difference between C+ and B- is narrow especially when you take 3 tests, fail the first, get A on the second, 100100 on the third and still get C+. If she was nice she would consider trying to give B- Instead she ruined my GPA (even this semester I had all A's. A professor to AVOID unless you want to slamchop your GPA!!!

Absolutely awful professor. Can't understand most of the time, always messes up the notes on the board. Exams are very hard, and doesn't offer extra credit. Her teachings are different from the textbook. If you can, AVOID taking any class with her, unless you want to watch your GPA fall.

I should have read her reviews before taking the class... One of the most unhelpful professors I've ever had! Her lectures are confusing, no curves or extra credit, avoids questions (her response will have nothing to do with your initial question), makes mistakes. Absolute worst teacher I've had in all my years of learning. Took her for MATH2207. Math is something I've always excelled in and got a D+ in her class. Absolutely ruined my GPA. She is awful, constantly getting things wrong and having students have to explain her mistakes to her. She is just dreadful, cannot teach to save her life. Avoid her.

Worse lecturer ever. I had an A average all semester with just the final grade to go in and I got a B+. She only uses grades from 3 exams during the semester, no homework anything else so you must do well on the exams. Her exams are also much easy compared to the final, like they are 10 times easier which makes you unprepared for the final exam.

I would not recommend her to anyone she does not know how to teach. She loses track of her work, moves very fast, does most math in her head so you cannot follow along and if she does something wrong it's your fault. In class she did the same example twice and got two different answers. She does not understand how to teach. Please, DO NOT TAKE HER!

She is a very nice person, I liked her as a person. But as a teacher, she is not good. She does not know how to teach, does major steps in her head and does wrong in the calculations so the class have to correct her. Worked hard, had a B average, didn't get enough help for the final, failed and got an F in the class.

She is a very nice lady, but she is just an AWFUL professor. A true shame that someone like her is in such a prestigious school like Baruch. She moves at a very fast speed, and most especially doesn't explain topics clearly, and even when she answers questions, she doesn't answer them clearly either. Save yourself, and don't take her.

I took AP Calculus my senior year of high school so I was at an advantage coming into this class. However, the occasional times I do look up at the board to see what she is teaching, I notice that she does important steps in her head, that you wouldnt be able to realize unless you already knew how to do the problem. Homework is optional.

Failed the final as I wasn't prepared for the test with her teaching. Honestly would not take again. A nice lady but does not go over the material well. If one were to look her up it does seem like she is well accomplished in the field of mathematics to a certain degree but it clearly does not translate to her being a good teacher of mathematics

Seeing a rating of 1.3 from the start was very discouraging but it clearly reflected on this professor because she CANNOT teach. Someone would ask a question and she would not understand it or simply brush it off and answer it with something unrelevant.

Its simply not a good class. Shes confusing and this is a class where the steps need to be demonstrated carefully and precisely because this is CALCULUS!!!!! She cant do it. She gets confused, the system in how she teaches confuses her own self and claims to always want questions asked but often dismisses them when she takes up to much time.

If you took Calculus in high school, you're fine might need to review matrices. Otherwise, HOW DOES SHE HAVE A PHD? She doesn't remember formulas, and no, it's not to get us to say the formula ourselves, she legit forgot. Also, she can't do basic math either(?)

She doesnt know how to teach and gets mad if you correct her or point out any error. Her ways of teaching is confusing and jumping back and forth. My SACC tutor was 100 times better than her. She never answers your emails and doesnt have extra credit. Taking her class was painful and extremely difficult even thought I spent hours practicing.

Pls dont take her so i had her during covid when we suddenly switched online. She gave no lectures and sent us ones premade on the baruch website( which is super bad quality) Tests r hard and she dont really reply to ur emails takes so long..... and dont need to do hw

If you love yourself, don't take this professor. I literally am doing her homework and went to write this halfway through to warn any innocent students to STAY AWAY. My god, this is CALCULUS and yet she literally doesn't explain half of the steps when she's doing an example. It's almost like she's reading from a textbook.

Im so-so at math so my grade often times depends on how good my professor is at teaching. In this case, this is the absolute worst Professor Ive ever had. Her teaching style sucks because she often skips steps when going through problems. AND she has a horrible attitude. God forbid you ask her to repeat something you didnt understand. STAY AWAY!

Wow, this was my first professor in Baruch and boy was it a rude awakening. Probably the most clueless professor I have taken, lectures make no sense. Calc is already a hard class, she can't even teach. Prepare to go to SACC for actual learning purposes. Thank God this class was online or else I would have failed. She never answers questions.

You're better off having Drake teach you calculus.
