After reading the comments about Mrs. Donn I feel like she has gotten a bad rap! I took her class and LOVED every second of it. She does have an accent, and she doesn?t teach in a traditional way but, if you just roll with it, participate and do your best? You will get an easy A. Many have mentioned that Professor Amaka Donn is not the best teacher for political science due to her strong accent. But, I think she was a very wonderful and out spoken professor. Her class was not difficult at all, in fact her exams are easy. All you have to do is study the chapter exam question and answers she will provide you with!

2 debates, 1 group presentation 3 exams + the final, and a few reports that she might use for extra credit. Seems like alot of work but she gives you the study guide with all the answers that are gonna be on the test and gives you the study guide and answers for the final. May have a thick accent but you get used to it

When in Professor Donn's class she is full of knowledge when it comes to political science. And knowing that she comes from another country but really loves the U.S. and the zeal she has when speaking about America, makes me rethink my Americanism.

I'm not sure if it was just for the class I took or if it's something she does in all her classes but she hold class rep elections in her class and really respects input from the student.

Prof Donn is p cool. Her lectures are fast paced but nothing too bad, just listen. Presentations and debates are easy, just know what you're talking about. Good overall. Accent can be a pain sometimes. Slideshows were way too fast, but she slows down if you ask. Had her during the election and she was hilarious. She was intimidating at first and you can easily get your ass handed to you, but respect was mutual. The biggest problem was probably her explanations for the assignments was very vague.

I had Professor. Donn for Political Science 101, I would have to say that this was my favorite class out of all of the classes that I was taking for this semester. This professor will make you work for your grade. As long as you out in the work you will get the grade you deserve. Really study/read the chapters and do the weekly news headlines and you will do fine. She's fair when it comes down to grading, I was not expecting to get a good grade in this class but I did. Much respect to Amaka Donn.

She goes by the rule book! If you can follow rules & be responsible for yourself, you can pass! Yes, she is a little tough but actually very nice. She does have a thick accent but email her! She always responds and with 24 hour or less. I disliked her at first but at the end really enjoyed the class. Also, NO TALKING AT ALLL!!!! I mean, at alll!

It was very hard to understand professor donn but i have to say she has plenty of extra credit opportunities she will not remind you of the extra credit but do it and you will pass even if you fail all your tests with a 62 out of 100. I got a c and failed all my tests( but hey you can do way better if you read read read. Teach yourself. Loved her

Professor Donn Gave 3 papers and 3 presentations (debate) chapter summary in a group. I believe there is three test. In lectures summarizes the chapter it's not very exciting. Asks you to read the textbook for the test. Will ask you the next time what you remember.

Accent can be difficult to understand which causes confusion, but overall a very high quality teacher. I really don't think she read any of the assignments turned in, the tests were probably the only challenge, aside from that the written portion was a cakewalk. If she teaches another class I need to take I would be willing to take her again.

At first shes difficult to understand. But I took her during 8 week summer courses during COVID. So our classes were 3 hours and 15 minutes long. But as long as you showed up and take your tests and half way attempt the essays youll pass!

Prof Donn. Expects you to participate in class, she will ask questions of the previous chapter, she will not remind you of when homework is due, since we are adults. I learned a lot with her and enjoy her class.

Professor Donn is amazing. Very sweet, caring but you need to participate. Read the book, do your work and youll do just fine on the tests.

Good teacher with not a lot of work. Doesn't like to repeat herself so make sure you are aware of what's due and when. Easy grader with 2 quizzes, exams, one research paper, and weekly headline topics. Not hard to pass, just do your work and show up. Not stressful either, in my opinion.

She an amazing professor, always asked if anyone has questions in class. Just do your work and you'll be fine.

Professor Donn was awesome!! She believes in what she teaches and wants us to learn and be informed. Lectures are not too bad, make sure to read syllabus and youll be solid. Easy A.

she is an amazing professor, doesn't give much hw but you do need to turn it in on time for full credit. She will remind you over and over what is due no excuse why to miss an assignment when she constantly reminding us about them. I recommend her to anyone looking for a good pols instructor. She is funny and makes what she teaches relatable to us.

I got a A+ in this class really easy just a reminder do all your assignments in single line space, put your crn code, and use your school email.

Professor Amaka Donn is really knowledgeable about the course. The work is straight forward you just have to make sure you pay attention and take notes and you will pass. Also do you're work ask questions if you don't understand.

Good teacher, pretty much all the assignments were in essay format outside of the exams. If you know how to stay on top of your work this class works for you. Has a research project that involves attending and asking the city council a question so just keep that in mind if you're shy or very antisocial lol.

The syllabus holds all your work, quizzes, and testing info. Prof. Donn is available if you need her, but mostly hands-off. Read your chapters and do your work the class is an easy A. You must attend a city council meeting. I attended virtually. You do have to write a few one-page papers. They are in the syllabus so you can start anytime.
