Cool Prof!!!!
Class is straight forward. Come to class and take notes to study for the tests. (Book not needed if you take notes.) Willing to help you out and tries to add in things that make the material relevant. I would take her again for another mkt class.
Very easy class, never went and still made an A. Tests are all multiple choice and purely consists of textbook terms. All you have to do is memorize the terms and you're guaranteed an A every time.
DEFINITELY take her if you have to take this course! She is SO easy and wiling to help and you don't have to go to class to get an A, just read the book...tests are straight out of it! yay!
Didnt go to class. And didnt study til 2 days before the tests. She gives out study guides that are extremely helpful. I got an A.
Makes class really interesting. She's extremely helpful, and attractive which is a plus.
AMAZING! She made me fall in love with marketing even more than I liked it before! Explains everything VERY well makes the material relevant to us b/c she's younger and knows whats still going on. Lots of sports references which is good for guys. Pretty much makes you get a good grade and helps you out as MUCH as possible. I wish I had her again
Cooper Fine is awesome!! Made me so glad I became a marketing major after I had some doubt due to general electives. Go to class, but if you don't it's not a big deal because everything comes from the book. She is always willing to help you in any situation and is definetly very relatable. Grades fairly. One of my favorite teachers ever!!
Awesome. Very personable and a great lecturer. The class is easy -- you really don't even need to come to class but you do need to study. Everything on the tests comes from the book but she gives out study guides. I would DEFINITELY recommend her!!!
Pretty easy introductory class. Most material tested is straight from the book, which is pretty easy reading. I went to most lectures and got an A, but I know other people who didn't go at all and got As. Only a little material from lecture not in the book was included in tests. Class made me really like marketing.
Good Teacher, makes lectures interesting. Has powerpoint slides giving you all the info straight forwards. Lectures are not mandatory. Tests pretty much come straight from the book. Not a hard class.
the best teacher i have ever had at clemson university. she makes everything clear and willing to help. She gives out study guides before the test. You dont have to go to class, but if you do go it will be enjoyable. TAKE IF POSSIBLE!!!
She is young, laid back, and is very understanding. She's def available to help you if you have questions about anything or if major emergencies come up. Her lectures are straight PPTs but she includes YouTube videos and things that make the course interesting. I got an A in the course and would most def take another class taught by her.
AWESOME TEACHER! She is so nice and understanding. Lecture is actually enjoyable, but it's not mandatory that you go. She lets you go to whatever lecture time of hers you want so it doesn't really matter what time you sign up for! She shows lots of cool videos and tests are not hard at all! TAKE HER!!!
LOVED HER! She is one of the best teachers I've had at Clemson- she got me excited about being a marketing major. Go meet her- she will help you out with looking for internships and stuff. You don't have to go to class but do- its really interesting and fun and applicable to life. Tests aren't bad, not too hard to make an A.
Great teacher! I recommend her to anyone! Class is not mandatory but it's interesting and fun to attend. Her test come straight from her PowerPoint.
The best professor! She is young and makes the class fun. Her test are straight forward and she gives you a study sheet. You have to study to do well. The true or false always got me. Take her if you can, you might just change your major!
i am international student and i liked the class.
I have a crush on Amanda (Oh So!) Fine she is smart
This class is pretty straightforward. Attendance isn't mandatory. However, some of the things she covers in lecture aren't in the book, so I suggest you go to class. Also, she's actually really funny, so lectures aren't boring. I recommend this professor. :)
Attendance is not mandatory but you will miss a few things that will not be in the book. Her tests are practically straight definitions. She gives tons of real life examples and is very interesting! Optional final is a plus as well!
LOVE HER! very interesting and best lecture class ive taken yet. If you don't go to class, find someone that did b/c although class is not mandatory she makes sure to through a few things in her lecture that is not in the textbook. tests are straight-forward. easy A if you study
Learned a lot, no homework, just take notes.
I found the class difficult, I took notes and read the book, studied for hours and wouldn't even make Bs on the exam. However, I think it's just the course, not the teacher because Amanda was very engaging, related to the students, and interesting to listen to. MKT 301 is no walk in the park, but Prof Fine makes it a lot more tolerable.
Absolutely loved her! I'm not even in the business college and she made this very interesting. As long as you complete the study guides you'll do fine. Attendance isn't mandatory but she doesn't post the powerpoints so you should go... she keeps it interesting though! I made an A by just spitting back definitions and the study guide pretty much.
The only reason why I showed up to class is because she is so hot. It is a pretty easy class, as long as you pay attention in class.
Ms Fine is super passionate and very interesting! I was never bored in this class and although attendance isn't mandatory I would absolutely go because you get notes you need and it's never boring. Your grade is 4 best out of 5 tests including a cumulative final so do well on the 4 unit tests and you're golden. Easy B but you must work for an A!
I loved this class! She makes it super interesting and even though attendance isn't mandatory, I always went. Class notes were used a lot on the tests. Made an A on 2 tests, B on the other 2 and ended with an A in the class without taking the final. Definitely take her!
Amanda Fine is a great teacher that brings a lot of practical work experience to her job. She genuinely cares about all of her students and makes the course work interesting. The class is not an easy A by any means, you have to show up and take good notes as well as do well on the end of the semester project, but definitely a great class.
You will take a lot of notes in this class but it is truly not that hard. Mrs. Fine is a good teacher who keeps it interesting and is pretty relatable. I definitely recommend taking her.
Really great teacher. Keeps material interesting and is always helpful. Very experienced in the subject and always makes classes interesting. Highly recommend taking her for any class she teaches.
No textbook, which is highly frustrating. Exhaustive articles are required reading instead, and are barely used on exams. Exams are far trickier than they have any right to be. Interesting class, she is really nice, but the multiple-choice exams were difficult. Group project at the end, fairly easy, just make sure your group members contribute.
Great professor. really knows everything about sports marketing. really helpful with the final project. read the articles and you should get an A
super hard. Not an easy A
I LOVE Mrs. Fine. She is very knowledgable and is inspiring in her success. You aren't graded on attendance but if you miss a lecture, your test grade will suffer. I have made As and Bs on all of the exams so far. If you put in the effort, you will do well.
Definitely cares about her students and relates to them well. Her examples are so understandable!
4 tests and an optional final, all multiple choice, no homework. Lecture notes aren't online, but it follows the book 70% of the time. She's an AWESOME teacher but the class is dry and boring, like any intro class. She gives study guides before each exam that tell you exactly what topics will be on the exam, do them as each chapter ends.
Cooper Fine is a great teacher. You HAVE to study for her tests. Get the book, read the chapters, take good notes during class, start studying early. Her tests aren't bad if you are prepared. She makes class interesting even though her lectures are always the whole time.
Very vague test questions. She makes the tests more difficult than they need to be. A lot of very specific course material. Be religious about it.
Fine is a great teacher. She is very enthusiastic about the material and you can tell she really cares. She gives great review sheets. If you study these for each exam, they are very easy to get an A on and therefore skip the final exam. She also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. One of the best classes I've taken at Clemson.
I got into a bad habit of skipping class and just getting notes which I do not suggest. Lectures are kinda long but she's very fun and applies her knowledge from working for professional sports teams. Do the chapter study guides after each week and studying would be a breeze. There's 4 test and a final, only 4 count for 25% each, no hw/attendance
Fine is a good professor. She is very upbeat and interactive with the class. She shows us exactly how the class relates to the business world and tells us about her experiences within the corporate world. Her lectures aren't mandatory, but you should go or somehow get the notes. The book helps some too if you just glance over it. Would take again.
One of the nicest professors I have had at Clemson. Going to class isn't mandatory but some material for test are only taught in class and power points are not put on BlackBoard. If you do the review sheets you should make a pretty good grade. There's a lot of vocabulary and processes you will need to remember but overall I got a B on every test.
Professor Fine was the most organized person I had ever met. Tests were graded and on blackboard by the end of the day. Attendance isn't mandatory, but some of the test material isn't in the book. She gives review sheets for all the test. If you study those you'll get an A every time. Don't go to class and you'll probably still get a B
Professor Fine is my favorite professor I've had at Clemson. I don't want to skip class because she makes it so interesting that it makes me really enjoy going. She's really experienced in sports which is cool that she has so many personal stories about what we learn. Tests are pretty easy if you pay attention in class and study. No homework.
Tests are hard. In her lectures she brings up examples not does not define the definitions of words- Super frustrating. There are quizlets for her tests to study that help. There are easier intro-teachers and I would recommend them. The tests are hard and not specific. STUDY for her tests!!! I didn't and realized I needed to after the first few!
She is a really chill person, however her lectures get extremely boring 30 min. in. To get an A in the class you basically have to eat, breathe, sleep her class. Must study A LOT!
Take notes during lecture, study notes and you'll do fine. Reading from the book reinforces lecture, but she will tell you exactly what will be on the test. She has a lot of experience in sports marketing, so it is interesting to hear what she has to add to lectures.
Without a doubt the most enjoyable class I've ever taken. Looking back, I really wish I would have been more involved with the class.
Cooper is one of the best professors I've had at Clemson. She relates all the material to make it easier to understand. Her test are a little difficult but if you follow along and study the study guides she gives you, you'll do fine! 10/10 would recommend!
Mrs. Fine is a great professor who obviously knows her stuff and is passionate about helping students. She's been teaching this course for a long time so she has it organized to the T. She's great about entering test grades and responding to email quickly.
This class itself is a little meh, however that makes Professor Fine shine even more. She takes very simple even redundant material and bring in her own material making the class actually worth the opportunity cost. Fine is extremely caring, always responds to emails. She is definitely worth getting to know personally. Test questions can finicky.
No homework just tests and a few extra credit stuff. Interesting lectures tho, you will need to take notes or find a solid quizlet
I found her lectures boring to follow because she has a tendency to ramble a lot. Her test questions come directly from the power points and book definitions; however, you really have to understand the material because most of her test questions are application based and can be tricky. Really understand her notes and you'll be good.
amazingly smart, kind, only gives 4 exams and thats all your grades.
Amanda Fine made me hate my major. I want to change my major because of her. There are other professors who teach this class so I recommend taking them over her. She's annoying and brags about her life the entire class.
Attendance is not mandatory but you'll want to go to class since test questions are taken directly from powerpoint notes. She uses real life examples and videos to relate the material to the real world. 10/10 recommend
Lectures are long and boring. Tests are harder than they need to be for an intro marketing class. She is very enthusiastic about marketing, which is great but if you're not interested then its very boring. Go to lectures and take good notes. Study notes and terms in order to do well on exams. Understand the concepts, don't just memorize the terms.
ACF was tough, but I am glad I took her class. She has impressive work experience and it makes the class interesting because she can apply a lot of things to her experience. She wants her students to do well and will make time for you to get help if you just reach out. She was energetic & fun and made me enjoy going to class!!!
Prof Fine is really an incredible professor. She is super prepared with the material and takes time to explain everything with personal experiences and interesting examples. Tests are unreasonably hard which sucks since they are the only grades you get. Extra credit helps a little but be prepared to study.
Mrs. Fine is extremely passionate about what she does. Unfortunately, the lectures aren't the most interesting. I studied a long time for each test and did mediocre on all of them. She gives you things to study, use them, if I hadn't, I would have failed. Test questions are difficult and don't always reflect what was on the study guide.
This class is the most boring class i've had at Clemson or at any level at education. Fine takes material that could be somewhat interesting and makes it incredibly dull. You're better just reading the textbook cause it's way more interesting than her lectures. Try to find a different teacher.
Amanda is great. Her lectures are actually really interesting to me. The people who think her tests are difficult took advantage of the fact that she doesn't take attendance. Go to class and write down her ppts with her explanations and review it the night/morning before the exam. Do the study guides. I finish the exams in 20 min and get an A.
Im going to be honest. This class might not be for everyone, your entire grade is made up of 5 exams (only 4 count and the lowest is dropped), but Coop is absolutely amazing. She is one of the nicest professors I have ever met, and she actually cares about you. I have this class as an 8 AM, and it is by far my favorite. Take her class, it's awesome
I absolutely loved her! She's very enthusiastic about the material and super engaging, but while attendance isn't mandatory, I'd say you need to show up to do well on tests, since some extra material is only given in lecture. She has a lot of examples, everything is very clear, and her study guides cover everything you'd need to know for the exam.
My favorite teacher at Clemson so far!!! Genuinely cares about her students and has very engaging lectures. Gives 5 exams and drops the lowest, therefore you can exempt the final if you're already happy. Offers 3 chances for extra credit :) Definitely take her
This professor was honestly my favorite last semester. She made everything very interesting and gave real world or personal examples of everything. My only downfall of the class is that I am not the best tester and the class was graded based only on tests. I feel like homework would have been beneficial to my test scores and overall grade.
By far one of my favorite professors I have had. She loves her job and provides so many real-world examples. She loves what she does. Her course is not terribly difficult, but you do have to do a good amount of work to ensure a good grade. She makes the course fun and interesting, I actually loved going to her class and looked forward to it.
Amanda Fine is such an amazing teacher!! I love going to her class and the material is actually really interesting. The only things you are graded on are tests so that makes the class a little bit harder, but she is so accessible outside of class and explains everything so well. I totally recommend her as a teacher!
AMAZING! LOVE HER! vocab heavy. pay attention in lecture.
Amanda is a great professor and makes herself accessible outside of class. She cares about her students and realizes your a person not an ID number. The only downside is that the only grades that you receive are four of the five tests that you take and these tests are relatively hard. She does offer you extra credit though.
LOVE HER! The material is boring and class is long. But she is so intelligent she brings in a lot of real world experience & examples so class is bearable. She wants to see you do good! Extra credit offered 3x. You can exempt the final if your happy with your grade. Tests r hard so do well on the first few so you can exempt. VOCAB & read will help
ACF is one of the best professors at Clemson. She cares so much about her students and their success. She gives great feedback and takes her time to go over your test with you to help you better prepare for the next one. I pulled a couple all-nighters studying for her tests but in return exempted the final with an A. Her final is also optional!!!!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is available outside of class and makes the lectures so interesting where you want to learn. If you go to class and pay attention you will do well. 10/10!!
Great energy from this one. She knows her stuff and is passionate about it. Her tests are fair so you'll get a good grade as long as you review the class notes and know your vocab. The book is only useful for the vocab terms so if you can get that from a friend and save money you'll do fine. Go to class to learn better, but a friend's notes suffice
Coop is great! Keeps it simple and straight forward. You'll know exactly where you stand the entire time and you have a few easy extra credit points handed to you. The tests are moderately hard, studied lightly before tests and came out with a high B.
Amanda is a great professor and really knows the material she teaches. She is the most caring and generous teacher hands down. Her class consists of going over powerpoints that are somewhat interesting. Take good notes and you will be fine on the exam. Also, reading the book and her study guides are helpful.
She is a great teacher in my opinion but the material you learn in class isnt all of what you need. I never skipped her class and studied every day but still got C's and D's on tests. Her tests are very hard for an INTRO class. Better off taking this class online.
This was the worst and hardest class I have ever taken at Clemson. I had a 4.0 until I took this class. I studied a week in advance, never missed a class, and read each chapter in detail. I went to her office hours and she told me she is a good teacher and I simply do not know how to study. I would never take one of her classes again.
I've taken almost every class Amanda Fine teaches and she is AMAZING. If you are interested in marketing, she makes the class so fun. You HAVE to be in class/watch and listen to online lectures to get references she makes to the material. She doesn't grade on a lot of things but the exams are relatively easy.
A great professor. She has a lot of real-world experience and shares a lot of stories with the class. With COVID she did record lectures to her notes so I didn't get to know her very well. I would definitely recommend this class and professor to others. She offers some extra-credit and has a review guide for the tests.
Amanda Cooper Fine was a great marketing professor and knows a lot about what she is talking about. But, the tests were extremely difficult for me and my friends. You HAVE to study in advance. The tests are the only things that make up your grade, no quizzes or homework. You need the textbook to understand vocabulary terms.
Your grade is only determined by the exams, so you must watch the lectures and read the textbook for the vocal/concepts. She used a lot of personal and real-world examples in her lectures which was helpful. Use her review guides for each chapter when studying for the exams and don't slack on the vocab, and you should be just fine.
I'm not the biggest fan of marketing but this class wasn't the worst. I didn't bother reading the book and instead wrote down everything on the slides and what she said in class. The tests are a little more difficult than you'd think and she expects you to know the material well and the lists of steps in order. I found quizlets that were helpful!
Graded only on exams. The exams are super hard, these are not exams you can study the day before on and pass. The lectures are hard to watch in one sitting, as they are long and can be boring if you are not interested in the topic. Ms. Fine is willing to help you but you're not aloud to ever see an old test you've taken which can be frustrating.
The only material that amanda gives out are the review sheets, which are NOTHING like the test. Ive known the review sheets and vocab words by heart before the tests and still manage to BOMB. I dont know what kind of introduction class this is. Ive looked at my roomates marketing exams from other professors and its what yours should be. Do better.
A literal angel from heaven, she was so fun to have and I plan to have her for all of my mkt classes! If you get the concepts its a breeze but if you struggle in the subject I can see where it would be hard. I only ever studied the day of the test and got a B in the class!
She is a really nice professor and very interesting to listen to! The only negative is that she does not give out any homework so the four tests are your only grades for the class. Do bad on one test and your grade is heavily affected.
Good professor but the whole class is made up of just 4 exams and a final. The tests are very difficult with lots to memorize and information to retain. She is very sweet and easy to reach though.
Professor Fine is a very sweet and caring professor, however, her tests are unnecessarily difficult. Regardless of the time I spend studying, I seem to completely bomb her tests. You are only graded on tests so if you bomb one, good luck getting your grade back up. I really did not enjoy this class as it was impossible to study for/ do well in.
Fine is so sweet and caring but the fact that there are only 4 exams that count towards your grade is kinda crazy. I love the material and class but the exams were difficult for no reason. I feel like if there were more grades, then the class would be better.
Attendance was not mandatory tests were easy as long as you memorized the vocab from the book you should get at least a B on each exam
Loved her and her class! Her class was the reason I changed my major to marketing! She makes the class very interesting, you can tell she cares about her students, and offers one on one meetings after tests where she explains what you got wrong and why, and then offers advice and study tips so you excel on the next test! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I really enjoyed Professor Fine's approach to lecturing. She made the material accessible and interesting and had a lot of personal and relevant examples. The tests were difficult and based on a lot of memorization which made the fact that our grade is only based on tests worse. She did give an opportunity for extra credit (4 points on a test).
Only graded on exams but incredibly clear expectations about what you need to know for them. Really passionate about what she does, take her if you can!
Professor Fine thinks her class is the only class that matters. Only graded on 4 tests and optional cumulative final so good luck if you dont do well on the tests. The tests are not hard but they are tricky. SUPER SPECIFIC questions. Way harder than an intro class should be. Other MKT 3010 professors are not like this so take someone else!!!
YES, loved her. Grades come only from exams. It is a difficult course, but if you study hard and go to class you can definitely get an A. She is so passionate about the material and truly cares about her students. Really hoping I get the chance to take more classes with her.
Your grade in Prof Fine's class is made up of 8 open-book quizzes, which are pretty straight-forward. Her lectures are really interesting, and she gives a lot of examples to help you relate to and understand the material.
I absolutely love Amanda. She makes the content super interesting and easy to follow. She's super flexible if you need help understanding content or reviewing quizzes. She wants to help her students succeed as much as she can. There's only 8 quizzes that make up the semester grade. She gave us an option for extra credit and the final is optional.
She used to be based solely on four tests and that's where a lot of bad reviews will come from. She changed it to 8 quizzes Fall 2021 and made it more flexible. Good professor
This class is a series of interesting readings and podcasts. Your grade is based on participation, 2 tests, 2 essays, and a final project. Professor Fine is hilarious and genuinely cares about her students. I've asked her for advice for both in and outside of the classroom and she has been so helpful. 100% take her if you can!
Professor Fine truly cares about her students. This class was pretty reading heavy, but class was totally discussion based. If you get the chance to take a class with Fine, do it. You won't regret!
In Fall 2021 she switched from a test format to 8 quizzes, which makes the class easier. The quizzes are 25 questions in 20 minutes, open book, online, everything. The answers aren't online, but you can typically find them all if you take good notes TYPED on a doc and command F during quizzes. The final is optional & replaces your 2 worst quizzes
I didn't know how fun marketing could be until this class. I get by in this class just fine with the 8 quizzes that make up your grade. She cares about the students and wants to see us succeed. She is very accomodating and an overall fantastic teacher.
talks about herself too much during lectures and quizzes are in extreme detail
She is the best. The class is very easy as long as you take notes. The quizzes come straight from the powerpoints. Your whole grade comes from 8 quizzes so as long as you take notes your fine and it is an easy A.
Professor Fine and is super nice. I always found her lectures engaging and fun. Her quizzes are hard, if you do not take notes. If you take good notes and write down what she says you'll be fine.
Absolute GOAT. I couldn't recommend her enough; she cares about the material and her students. She's ridiculously knowledgeable and wants to see her students succeed. Take any class ACF offers!
the whole class is graded on 5 tests and the only way to get the material is to take notes on every single thing she says in class. the lectures last the whole time every time and it is hard to tell what matters most. she can definitely get off on tangents that do not apply to the material at all and some lectures are very all over the place.
DO NOT TAKE IF YOU ARE NOT A MARKETING MAJOR. There are various professors that grade this class much easier than her. Don't get me wrong, she is a fabulous teacher, but if you are looking for an easy A DO NOT TAKE. There are only 5 quizzes and you have 35 minutes for 40 questions and they are not easy to find. Got a higher grade in STAT & ACCT...
Super sweet person and knows how to keep students engaged. Go to class because 5 quizzes make up your grade and everything you're teste on will be on a quiz. She also doesn't post her notes! She knows what she's doing and has a lot of experience at a young age!
I wish I had taken her for more courses. She was a very interesting lecturer and really cared about her students. She was engaging and remembered everybody by name. You are graded by 3 open note quizzes (which are basically tests) and 2 short papers. Optional final paper. Easy class and very enjoyable and interesting.
I've taken two classes with Professor Fine. She's great & would genuinely recommend her to anyone, but she does grade pretty tough so maybe not the best if you're looking for an easy A. In both of her classes, I finished less than 0.5 points away from having an A. However, she does provide GREAT feedback and reasoning for grading the way she does.
TAKE HER! attendance is not mandatory but she does not post the slides so you you need to go to lectures but they are super engaging so its not bad at all. everything on the exams comes straight from lectures and all the exams except the final are open note. LOVED THIS CLASS.
This class was graded by 3 participation grades, which were equally divided among three sections of the semester, 2 papers, 2 exams, and a final project. Obscene amounts of my time were eaten up because of readings assigned for discussion. For exams, it was incredibly unclear what information would be on them. Bottom line: don't take this class.
One of the best professors at clemson. Grade is determined by 8 open note quizzes that can be challenging if you didn't pay attention in class. Overall great professor, interesting lectures and amazing person.
Prof Fine was one of my favorite professors from this past semester. She is very caring and her teaching style is very enjoyable. All quizzes are open notes but are timed so make sure and study beforehand. The Final is optional but if you take it and score higher, two of your lowest quiz grades (8 total) will be dropped.
Professor Fine is absolutely amazing; meeting with her outside of class was so helpful, and I could tell she really cares about helping her students succeed. Her experience in the marketing field is super interesting, test content is made extremely clear, overall I couldn't recommend her enough for MKT 3010!
I really enjoyed taking 3010 with her. Attendance isnt taken, but she doesnt post notes and she pulls exam questions straight from what is discussed in the lecture. Exams are timed, 40 questions in 35 minutes so def look over notes before. Overall easy class, just take detailed notes and youll be fine.
Professor Fine knows her stuff and has very interesting lectures. She also realizes her class is an intro class and just wants the students to do well. Only graded by the 5 or so exams, but copy the slides word for word and you'll be fine. Exams are open internet but timed. Definitely recommend.
She is a super engaging professor who you can tell is extremely passionate about marketing. You definitely don't need to put a lot of effort into this class. 5 exams, as long as you attend class and pay attention you'll get an A. Extremely nice and good about office hours. Definitely a great professor.
The only complaint I have is that the exams are the only assignments she gives. That's ridiculous. There is an optional final that is 175 questions (is that mind numbing?) so ig there's hope? Anyway, she's great but if you miss class, you miss the material. Team up with your classmates - she loves participation in class too.
100% of grade is Exam based and the entire class is just a lecture. It's easy if you take good notes because the exam is straight from the class slides. However, if you miss class you're screwed because the slides are not posted. Fine is super nice and makes an effort to connect with students. Go to class, take good notes, you'll get an A.
MKT 3010: Class is completely based on exams (open note), no homework. If you take notes based on what she is say not just the slides you will do well. She also met with me very quickly when I had questions. One of my favorite classes.
Take Amanda Fine for this course! She is the nicest. You have to attend lectures though as she doesn't post any of the slides / material she goes over-- but if you have a friend in the class you should be fine. The your grade is only made up of exams, no homework, but they are open note and easy if you took notes on the slides and what she says.
I love her. She knows so many people in the industry and brings in a lot of people. I will say her tests are very specific so make sure to write down what she is saying rather than what the slides say.
LOVE HER! She gives real life scenarios to prepare students for the future & is willing to meet students. Make sure to go to class because she doesn't post notes & her tests are based on what she SAYS in class not just the notes. Tests are extremely fast but open note. WRITE DOWN HER WORDS NOT JUST WHAT IS ON SLIDES. No assignments. 100% recommend
6 quizzes, open notes, but timed so there is little time to go over your notes, so you need to study. She speaks kinda fast, so be aware. The final is optional but will replace your lowest grade. Personally, I'm not a good test taker, so it's a bit tough for me (I'm not a Business major either). Though I will say that she is a really nice teacher.
I would definitely take this professor. The class is not difficult as long as you show up since she doesn't post the lecture slides on canvas. I have really enjoyed getting to know the material and hearing her stories from past career/student experiences.
Only graded by 6 quizzes but they're all take home. Very easy to do well and set a good foundation for marketing in this course
LOVE LOVE LOVE her. Attendance isn't mandatory, so a lot of people don't go, but her lectures are actually so interesting. I honestly looked forward to going because she's so engaging. I learned so much too. Quizzes are online at home and final is optional. She is incredible.
Really energetic and passionate in lectures. Quizzes were online and open notes but timed, though not too hard. Kind of wish she'd post the slides she uses for lectures (at least at some point if not in advance), but would recommend.
Professor Fine was so funny in class and was pretty upbeat. Class isn't mandatory and your whole grade is only 6 quizzes and they are online. Should be an easy an and I would take her again. Loved this class!
Very easy professor but also a fun professor. You really don't even need to go to class and you will still do well
BEST PROFESSOR AT CLEMSON TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!
If you can take this professor for any course please do!! She is the best so knowledgable and caring towards her students. You can miss class and still do well.
I loved professor Fine!! Attendance was not mandatory. Our only grades were quizzes every couple of weeks so make sure you do well on those. You can find information for the quizzes from notes taken from her lecture and the textbook (which is free and she provides the link to). This class is an easy A with professor Fine!
Fine was a great prof. Lectures aren't mandatory, but she makes them very interesting and it will be much easier to the the quizzes which are essentially exams if you do go and take notes. It's a straightforward class and I'd recommend.
One of the best professors I have had. Her teaching style helps you retain more information than the typically slide shows and you can tell she is truly passionate about teaching. Your grade is made up of 6 online exams 25 questions 20 minutes. The most challenging part of the course was just making sure you finish the exams in 20 minutes.
Professor Fine was the best. Her class was all based on 8 weekly open note quizzes, no exams, about the lectures from the week. She doesn't post the lectures so taking notes were key to success. Her lectures were super interesting, often relating to her previous jobs working in the sports world. She is easy to talk to outside of class.
Great professor overall. During her lectures she goes over a lot so be prepared to listen and take lots of notes. She cares about her students and wants them to do well so don't be afraid to go to her office hours and asks her questions. Her material is interesting and she uses a lot of real life examples so that it is easier to understand.
LOVE HER! She makes lectures so engaging, that you actually want to go to class. Attendance isn't graded, but she doesn't post her slides so you need to go to get the notes. 6 open note quizzes (25q in 20 min), and you can retake one of them at the end of the semester. She is always willing to help and really cares about her students. Take her!!!
This professor is an elite choice. Her class is structured perfectly in terms of only taking quizzes and all of which are online based off notes from in class. She doesn't post notes online, so attendance is definitely recommended, but aside from that it is super easy while also making it entertaining to learn. Great person, great professor
My favorite professor at clemson! She really knows what shes talking about and can relate course topics to real experience which makes class super engaging. Three exams and two projects. The projects take time but are honestly fun to work on. TAKE THIS CLASS!!
Absolutely LOVED this class! She doesn't post notes, so need to take good ones. Class/exams were mainly focused on guest speakers who were interesting and gave great insight into the industry. The prof was always available outside of class to meet and answered emails fast. Can tell she really cares about her students. Def recommend, one of my favs!
This class is so so easy. I took the honors section and it is literally just a recorded presentation that takes 5 minutes to do and boosts your grade. Attendance isnt mandatory but she doesnt post the notes so you kind of have to go to do well on the quiz. Her lectures are really interesting and she uses lots of real world examples.
Attendance not mandatory but notes are not posted. 6 open note quizzes. Hardest thing is being able to answer all 25 questions in 20 min so dont fall into the habit of not studying because its open note. Exams require thinking and won't just have questions you can look up in your notes. Amazing professor, doesnt just read slides and super engaging
Every class is a lecture, but she explains concepts incredibly well with interesting real-life examples to exhibit the value of marketing in all industries. She is incredibly understanding and will always be a resource for students beyond this course. Just attend class and take good notes, and you will do great on the 6 quizzes. Take her if you can
The class has eight quizzes taken outside of class, each worth 12.5% of your grade. Attendance isn't required. You can easily earn a B without ever going to class by quickly doing the quizzes with Chat. To get an A you need the notes so Chat can give better answers. Super easy class, and the professor is very nice.
Love Professor Fine the class is all lecture based but she makes them engaging and fun with relevant marketing examples. She makes an effort to talk to students outside of class and easy to reach. 8 open note quizzes, easy A if you study/attend lecture. Attendance is optional. Honors section has 4 easy online presentations that help grade.
The class is all lecture based but she makes them engage with current marketing examples. She makes an effort to talk to students outside of class by grabbing coffee with students and easy to reach. 8 open note quizzes online with no camera, easy A if you study/attend lecture.
Love her so much! Took this class with 400 other people, and she still personally knew my name and dreams after college.
Professor Fine was great! She really cared about the students and despite a big lecture hall, she tried talking to everyone. Class is really easy and only lecture based. We had 8 open notes quizzes throughout the semester and you can exempt the final. I would highly recommend taking her!
Professor Fine's class is very easy and very lecture heavy. Attendance is not mandatory but she refuses to send out the notes if you miss a day. I emailed her once when I couldn't go to class after going to class every day before that and she refused to send me the notes. There are 8 quizzes, online, and they are your only grades for this class.
Only eight quizzes throughout semester, attendance is optional and really not necessary, the class is mostly common sense. The lectures are engaging and fun, but in a large class of 400+ students, it doesn't hurt to miss a day or two.
Nice and fairly engaging. Attendance is not mandatory. Stopped going to class by October and still made an A. Take home online quizzes with lockdown browser and no camera.
