2 tests and a final. very easy. she's very energetic and very nice. bookwork everyday, ugh. quest hw 2x/week.
Dr. Hager centers her lectures off of Quest Modules. She assigns homework about two weeks in advanced and it is very easy to follow, in class she is not very good at explaining, but in office hours she goes out of her way to make sure you understand. She is has a very cute and empathetic personality which makes the class fun.
ridiculously unorganized. spent an entire lecture talking about the height of mountains. expect to learn everything on yourself because all you do during class is a worksheet. She does barely any examples, and makes a ridiculous amount of mistakes. Constantly asks the students "is that right?" More of an entertainer than a teacher.
Dr.Hager is the best math teacher I have ever had! She is very fun and energetic and enjoys teaching. She explains things very well, and although calculus is a challenging subject, she simplifies things and makes them easy to learn. She even goes out of her way to learn most of her students' names. I would definitely recommend her!
Dr. Hager is one of the funnest Calculus professors you can get! She makes lecture super entertaining and her tests are very easy. She makes you feel so comfortable, I was never afraid to ask any questions. If you want a fun and engaging calculus class, plus a good grade, take her!
Hager is one of the nicest happiest people I know. She really loves math and actually makes you want to go to class. I love that she remembers your name and is also pretty funny. Although the class was kind of difficult she makes it entertaining. Take her!
She's a funny gal. Her class is like a flipped classroom - learn through Quest modules and ask questions during class, something I didn't really like. She is super helpful and her tests are not hard at all. Quest and review worksheets are, but she basically picks the easier question types to put on the test!
One of the two best professors I've had in three semesters and best math teacher I've had. Highly recommended whether you have trouble with math or not.
She is the definition of a teacher who simply loves whats she does. She interacts with the students and tries to create and more open, and fun learning environment. I loved her. 3 test, one final, really easy to ace test if you do the online reviews she post, instead of being lazy like me and not wanting too and accepting a B.
Dr. Hager is awesome. She makes calculus much less intimidating than all other professors. I loved everything about her class except the My Math Lab software we used. Her tests can be a bit tricky as well but she will tell you everything you need to know in advance. She cares about her students more than any other professor I've met at UT.
I was in Dr. Hager calculus class and I didn't like her. Yes she is really cool and funny but she cant teach! Her first exam is really easy but her 2nd exam is awful! class average was a 40. third exam was alright. what was dumb is we were doing our homework on my math lab but she made a test quest based. Don't recommend her for calculus
Did not like her. She was a horrible teacher but a nice person. She does care for her students but she can't teach without confusing half the class and her test are hard (quest based). I would recommend another teacher for math. She comes of more of an entertainer than a teacher
Dr Hager is the best math teacher I've ever had and the best calculus teacher at UT. Thats all there is to it. She genuinely cares about her students and there was not a single day that I didnt look forward to going to class. I didnt even do all that well in the class, but I learned a ton .
Dr. Hager is great in her office hours! Tons of assignments and work though. Quest is unnecessarily difficult for how easy her tests are. She will usually let the class use note cards on tests if someone asks. She is a nice woman, knows her stuff, and is realistic about problems.
she's a horrible lecture and professor. I learned everything by myself. I would not recommend her prep for calculus class. waste of time and she's really annoying in class also.
Hard to understand lectures, she moves too fast through concepts without explanation.
She is awesome! take her. Her homework is kinda hard but she puts the easy problems on the test. take her!!!!
She is such a nice professor but her test are HARD! I would constantly work homework problems and still managed to make low c's on the test.
She's such a great professor!!! i would recommend taking her class! She is awesome and he quizzes and test are not that hard as long as you study!
She is a nice and bubbly person but she is not very good at explaining concepts and she also zips through the material way too fast for almost anyone to understand. The flipped classroom style that she uses is not beneficial because during class she does not actually teach but she only does practice problems which are not very helpful. Don't take!
Professor Hager takes pre-cal and breaks it down into simple terms that anyone can understand. At times her class seemed childish, but I came out with a solid set of algebra skills. She is very energetic and bubbly, like a cute little nerdy math lady. But don't let this fool you, she is also a bodybuilder in her free time! Great prep for calculus.
It was an absolute pleasure having Amanda as my professor. Granted, this class was not calculus, but still confusing at times. She was always helpful, explained things in depth and most of all was so warm and kind that it made office hours and class enjoyable. More professors should be like Amanda.
Dr. Hager is by far the best professor to take for math at UT. She cares so much about her students progress and will make sure the class understands the concepts. She's not doing the traditional "flipped classroom" like most math classes do. She actually teaches! Test can be hard only if you don't study!
Do not take this professor. She tends to rush through material way too fast and when a question is asked she gives a vague answer that does not make any sense. Also dont expect help on homework, she will not explain the problems in detail but will just give you a brief lib of what you did wrong... which does not help.. Not the best math professor.
she has a hard time explaining difficult concepts in different ways, but all in all she is an ok professor, she just needs more skill in the department of doing example problems that are easy and giving homework that is more difficult than the practice examples in class. don't take if you are a non liberal arts major, you won't be ready for calc.
We have a short quiz every discussion section, but they're pretty easy imo. The tests are not very difficult. It's pretty similara tiny bit harder than hw problems. As long as you take good notes, understand what's going on, and do your hw. . .you should be fine. I didn't buy the textbook.
I really enjoyed this class. Dr. Hager is a great teacher who really cares about her students. She will answer any questions and give good explanations. She interacts with students, and I was always very engaged.
She is a great teacher. Her exams can be hard if you don't study! Learn how to do every Quest homework problem and you should be fine. I would recommend her class, she's the best and nicest math professor at UT.
Great math professor, very friendly, very helpful. Lots of homework and tests are graded strictly but it's manageable.
Best math teacher at UT. Took her for Preparation for calculus and her calculus I class. Both very easy and her test are not bad at all! She's the best take her!!!
Dr. Hager is an amaaaaaazing Pre-Calc professor! Shes always perky and cheerful and gladly welcomes questions in class. She stops and explains concepts several times until a majority of the class understands. HW assignments are quest based and are fairly easy. Easiest exams I have take in my 19 years of existence. TAKE HER, DUDE.
Professor Hager is amazing! She is so sweet and her lectures are really engaging. She does a great job at explaining all of the material and you'll never feel lost because she's super open to questions during class. There is weekly homework, but it's very easy and she helps you on it the day before it's due. LOVED this class- so interesting! (:
Amanda is by far the best professor in the math department. She is so nice and cares so much for her students. Her exams are not hard at all if you attend class and do your homework. Exams are quest based with a few free response questions. I took her for M305G AND M408N and it was a great experience. She's amazing.
I was never good at math and what I love about Dr. Hager is her patience and passion toward math, she will never make you feel like a burden when you have a concern or question regarding the material! Her passion makes you want to learn math with her, even if it gets tough as long as you're willing to meet her halfway she will get you through! (:
Dr. Hager is one of the most nicest and greatest math professor here at UT. After failing two midterms (both grades in the 50's), I went into office hours and ask for help. Hager worked with me on concepts I was struggling in and how to actually study for a math class here at UT. Working with Dr. Hager, I ended up making a B- in the class.
Pretty basic math class. Dr. Hager was super nice and tried to connect with all her students. I even missed the final because of a calendar/canvas mishap and she ended up letting me take it the next day. She's pretty chill and usually knows what shes talking about.
Dr. Hager really cares about her students and is extremely helpful with the homework. You have a lot of ways to get in contact with her, whether it be through piazza, email, or online office hours. The material in this class is a nice refresher of high school pre-cal, and definitely prepares you for calculus.
Truly amazing professor. She definitely cares about her students and is willing to do anything to help them learn. She welcomes questions and is always patient in answering them -- even if the question has been asked 5 times already. She is so great! I wish I could take her for all my math classes.
BEST math prof ever. Enthusiastic, kind, and genuinely cares for her students! Not easy though. Makes you work for it, but her teaching style is easy to understand and her lectures are NEVER boring. Take Hager!!! I promise you won't regret it.
Dr. Hager is amazing! This class is not an "easy A," but she will teach you so much, you'll be so proud of the work you do! I have learned so much from this professor. My experience in Dr. Hager's class has proved invaluable to my life and I am so grateful I got to take her! TAKE HAGER!!!
Dr. Hager is an amazing person and a mentor. She will explain everything to you until you get the materials. Also, her exams and expectations are not hard at all. If you come prepared learning, complete your homework on time, and do what you are supposed to, you will be golden!
I absolutely loved having Dr. Hager as a math professor! Even though she teaches precal to a huge lecture hall, she is excellent at engaging the entire class. Even if you sit at the back, she will come up there and help you! She is truly amazing at teaching math. This class isn't easy, but if you will put in the work, you will be very pleased.
Dr. Hager is the best professor I had during my freshman year. There is a extra credit opportunity that is worth 1 % added to your final course grade by using Piazza frequently. On the last day of class, she gave us 2 points on our final exam just by showing up. She is an amazing lecture and really nice. There is HW due every week. I love her!!!!!!
She's good professor. Very helpful. There is homework due every Thursday but usually not too bad. Tests are easy as well, just stay on top of the homework problems and you'll be good and beware of the written section. She is always super happy in class and always seeks to help students in any way she can.
Two types of homework due every week, along with three exams and one final. If your final grade is higher than any of the previous exam grades, she will replace that grade. As a result, your final is worth 40% of your grade. She is a supportive teacher and encourages class participation. I would love to have her as a math teacher again.
Dr. Hager is awesome! She is so laid back, funny, and makes everything easy to understand. If you go to class, do the HW on quest, and do the exam guidance before each exam then you should be able to get a good grade. She wants you to do well in her class and I would take her again if I could!!
Dr. Hager is a wonderful person. She is so quirky and cute and has such a great personality. She genuinely cares about her students and their success in her class and will learn everyone's name. If you've taken a pre-calc or calculus course before, this class is very easy and manageable.
Professor Hager is an awesome professor! I'm not a fan of math but she makes it an enjoyable experience! It was in a large lecture class but it seems so intimate because of her teaching method. Hw due once a week, 2 lowest dropped. Reviews for all the tests. 3 tests and then there is a final. I would highly recommend her she is just fantastic!
I loved Dr. Hager! She is amazing and takes the time to actually learn your name. She's a real gem!
Dr. Hager is my favorite professor of all time! She was so charming and hilarious during lecture while still thoroughly going over the material. Her teaching style was clear and concise. She prepared well for the exams and even held review sessions. I don't have a single negative comment because she truly was a gem! Take her, you'll thank me later!
Amanda Hager is one of the best professor at UT. Her lectures are really simple to follow and she will stop and go over the material if you don't get it. The homework consists of quest and some book homework. 1 quest homework and book homework a week. 3 tests and a final. Study for the tests by studying the homework. Great professor!! Easy A!
Dr. Hager has 3 exams and a final. The format is half multiple choice and free response. The free section is worth more than the multiple choice. Final is the same with but allowed an notecard. She is very kind and actually cares for her students. She has office hours and is willing to help you if you have accommodations. homework is also in discus
Hands down one of the best professors at UT. Goes above and beyond for her students. Will help you no matter what and will always make people feel welcome. Her lectures are amazing also. 3 exams, 1 final. Easy quiz every week. Homework every week also. If you do bad on one exam, it doesn't get dropped. But your final grade can replace that exam.
Before taking Dr. Hager, I was in M408N and decided to drop it due to a horrible worthless professor Evelyn Schultz. I decided to go back and take M305G Precal. Best choice i ever did. Dr. Hager will really prepare for taking calculus here at UT. She was so nice, patient, funny, and caring to her students. Her exams are all fair. TAKE HER!!!!
I. Love. Dr. Hager. Seriously, I hate math and she made math fun. She explains things so well and her lectures are enjoyable because she makes jokes and great analogies to describe things. Take her!!
Professor Hager was AWESOME! She has a goofy and friendly personality, and made me enjoy/appreciate math. HIGHLY recommend.
Professor Hager is an amazing math professor. I had her for precal (with pre cal and calc experience already) and this class is not that hard. Ask questions and participate in class. Also use piazza bc it gives you a bonus point on your average if you participate enough. The tests are not too bad, just do the sample exams
Hager is one of the best professors at UT. She is clear, thorough, goofy, and very funny. If I could have her be my professor for every math class for the rest of my life, I'd be very content. It's okay to skip a few lectures here and there, but I'd recommend being there most of the time. Quizzes and tests are easy, but it's not a total blowoff.
Dr. Hager is a great professor that gives all of her students a chance to succeed. Even while she was pregnant she attempted to be as available and kind as possible. I would recommend everyone to take this class as their 305G class. It is great and Dr. Hager as a true passion for mathematics.
She is SUCH a sweetheart. This class was extremely easy as long as you show up to class and do the homework (which isn't very much). I put in minimum effort and was able to snag an A without any trouble. Cheers!
Hager is an absolute sweetheart and one of my favorite professors at UT. She clearly enjoys teaching math and wants her students to learn. Her tests are very doable and similar to her Quest homeworks.
Dr. Hager is an incredible teacher. She explains difficult topics very well. The quizzes during discussion are very easy, and the TA will cover the important parts before you take the quiz. I skipped one or two classes a week and just learned from the quest modules. She gives you a lot of prep material for the tests. Highly recommend this class
If youre a liberal arts major and are scared to take math TAKE HAGER !! she is awesome at explaining things in a humble way that makes her very approachable ! You dont even need to buy the physical textbook because all you need are the homework problems. She goes over everything in class and sometimes the homeworks too!
I LOVED Dr. Hager's class and wish she could be my calculus professor! She is super understanding, sweet, and caring. I took her pre-calculus class after taking precal AND calculus in high school, and I'm so glad I did! I *actually* learned from Dr. Hager and genuinely enjoyed going to her lectures. She is interactive and always trying to improve.
She's a very good professor and is very sweet to students. If you struggle with math take her because she will take her time to deeply explain a problem to you. She will show you why a certain rule is "illegal" in math instead of just telling you it's not possible. She is an AMAZING professor!
Dr. Hager has been on of my favorite professors. If you don't like math or have difficulties with it, take this class!! You will actually learn and enjoy it.
Attendance for lectures is not mandatory, but going is extremely helpful! There's weekly quizzes in discussion, but they're very easy and extremely short, if you go to lecture and take good notes you'll do well. She's very approachable and always wants to help students. Loved her!
I absolutely loved Hager! She is such a sweetheart, naturally funny, and teaches in an interesting way. Since all the exams are based on homework, I almost never went to class and still got a high A! Best class for liberal arts majors who are stressing about math, and if you do go to class, you won't have any trouble with the material :)
She's amazing. Had her for pre-calculus and it was a very easy A. Weekly quizzes at discussion, one gets dropped, but the quiz material is covered at discussion literally 10 minutes before. Take notes, do the homework, you'll get A's on all her exams. Great professor
Don't let me corrupt you, but I didn't go to a single class except for exams and squeezed a 90, and I'm not even "good at math". This did make the homework tough but she posts notes and videos and drops the 4 lowest! Though a pretty easy class w/ a good teacher, it's logic based and CONCEPTUAL so don't take this if you struggle with abstract ideas.
I made a 100 on every test even the final. Hager goes really slow through the topics and is very easy to understand. Only thing I didn't like about her was that she was a little TOO easy, kind of felt like I was in elementary school. High school level course in my opinion.
As a liberal arts major, I was totally expecting to struggle and barely get a B, but the class was AMAZING. Hager is absolutely hilarious, so despite the fact that lectures aren't mandatory (you get some hw answers at times, though), I recommend going just to hear her jokes. It's not your typical math class, though--concepts are very abstract.
Dr Hager is one of the best professors at UT. She genuinely cares for her students and answers any questions. If you are not good at traditional math courses, then this is the course for you. It isnt easy, but so much help is offered to you that its hard not to pass. Show up to class, its the respectful thing to do bc dr Hager is amazing.
She's the BEST teacher I've had. The class is fascinating and she is wonderful. I do think that although attendance is not mandatory, going to class or not will affect your understanding of the topics significantly, it is not information you can self teach or find online.
Professor Hager is amazing. She is so helpful-- by far one of the best professors I have ever had. The class can be tricky at times, but she genuinely wants to see you succeed and will do what it takes to help you!!
Dr. Hager is the best at making the material simple enough for anyone to understand. Attendance not necessarily required but you won't want to miss lectures because she teaches so well. If you show up everyday and complete the assignments, you will do well. The absolute sweetest prof I've had and her office hours are super helpful.
LOVED her so so much, highly recommend her. She made the class seem so easy and if you got to class and take notes you dont need the textbook!! She's really funny and relatable in class and will make sure every single person understands the material. Would take any math class I can with her, also wants you to score well
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hager! I took this class only because I needed a math credit for my degree plan, and this was the first math class I've ever enjoyed. She is so caring and her lectures are short and sweet. A lot of her class isn't "traditional" math, and she makes the concepts accessible and is always there if you need help!
Professor Hager is just the kind of person you want to be your professor during a global pandemic. There's just no way I could possibly convey her awesomeness. She's caring, her lectures are interesting, she's fun, and very accessible. She is by far the best professor I've had at UT and I'd encourage anyone to take her class.
I thought Hager was a great teacher, and she is very caring and understanding. I still struggled with the material, expecting it to be traditional math. This class is logic based math which isn't hard if you pay attention.
Dr. Hager was such an amazing professor. She makes the class easy to understand for everyone. I recommend taking math with her! She does give weekly homework, and three exams with a final. But she will always leave you prepared and goes over any questions on the homework before it is dues.
Hager is amazing. So caring and wants her students to succeed. Also takes the time to make sure everyone understands her explanations and will explain it differently if you don't. I've never had a more genuine professor. She made the online transition so easy and was always available for questions and to help us out. Would recommend her to anyone.
Weekly HW. Lectures are posted. She is so nice and actually cares about her students. Her/TAs are super accessible. The book isn't required but provides diff ways to look at problems/topics. Exams are all written and not bad. There are also 3 written assignments - GET A TA TO LOOK AT IT b4 submitting. Content is more logic/geometric than math.
Dr. Hager is one of the best professors I've taken. Her lectures are optional since she posts things online but if you really want to understand what will be in the tests and weekly homeworks, it is best to show up. The tests are written and are not difficult as long as you study with the reviews she gives out. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Hager is the best math professor you will ever have!! She teaches material in an interesting and exciting way, and will do everything in her power to help you understand the concepts. If you get the chance to take her M302 class, take it!!! She is just fantastic, and by the end of the class, you might find that you actually enjoy math!
There's not enough space in this text box to say how amazing Professor Hager is. Not only is she the best professor at UT, she might be the best professor in the history of the world. I've always hated math but she made it my favorite class. The lectures were always interesting and fun!! She really cares about all of her students! TAKE HER CLASS!!!
Dr. Hager is literally the best professor I've ever had! She is the funniest and more caring teacher I have ever had and is very loving towards her students. If you are looking for a EASY and BREEZY Math class then you definitely shoudl take Hager's course. Although it may seem at bit challenging at first, group projects and tests help a lot.
Dr. Hager is one of the best and coolest professors I have ever had. She truly cares about her students and is passionate about what she does. During the COVID-19 semester she was extremely understanding. The class is not extremely difficult but still very engaging. Whether you need a math credit or not TAKE HER simply because she is so awesome!
I'm not a math person at all, but this class is super easy! It's asynchronous so you can choose when to do your work. Office hours are extremely helpful. HAGER IS AMAZING!!! She's super accommodating and always answers questions in the groupme. She is also hilarious and always gives me a good laugh during office hours. I HIGHLY recommend this class
Took this class online because of COVID and it was the best decision I ever made. She made the class super interesting and fun and the work was easy to understand with the explanation videos she does instead of a lecture. Take this class if you can, I honestly wish there was a part II because I would take any class with her again.
*COVID, asynchronous online course* If you're not great at math and want to get M302 over with a great standing grade then Dr. Hager is the one. Every week there's a lecture or two, quiz, and homework, and everything is due on that Friday. Also, she and her TA's are VERY helpful with ANY questions you may have! Definitely recommend!
Stellar professor! I don't particularly like math, but I still enjoyed her class thoroughly.
SHE IS AN ANGEL! She'll teach u extremely advanced concepts and you won't even realize it. She makes hard things understandable--it's like magic! She's kind and patient like no other professor I've seen! Def go to office hours to get help with homework. Weekly homeworks+ some exams (very doable, just do your work on time & an A is achievable)
Dr. Hager is one of the best professors I've ever had at UT. I took her online async class last fall. If you need math credit, take Dr. Hager's M302 class! The office hours were helpful to ask questions and she went over homework questions each week. As long as you put effort, you'll get a good grade. I would definitely take this class again!
Dr. Hager dumbed complicated math concepts down but didn't make me feel like a kindergartener. She has this fantastic way of explaining things that you get it on the first try. Even the puzzles that seem impossible at first will become so clear after she goes through it with you once.
Dr. Hager is amazing and makes lectures enjoyable. The material can be kind of tough, especially the first few weeks of class,. However, going to office hours for homework helps a lot and Dr. Hager makes sure she clears up any confusion. Homework is due everyweek, but if you get her to check it before it is due you will get a good grade.
Dr. Hager is easily one of the best professors I've had at UT. She is extremely helpful when you have questions about the homework, especially during office hours!! If you need a math credit, definitely take her class. I can't recommend her enough!
Dr.Hager was amazing! Took her M302 class in the Spring of 2022 and had a great experience. She makes math for non STEM and business majors very easy. Tests were open note and OPEN INTERNET-- she even openly said we could call on other students for help! I highly recommend Dr.Hager for this course!
Professor Hager has truly been one of the best teachers/people I have met at UT thus far. I took M302 as a comm major for my math credit, and it was the best experience. Professor Hager offers her class in person, on zoom, and recorded, and the way she teaches makes you feel excited to learn and apply the skills she teaches.
Professor Hager is a wonderful person and professor. Her class was very engaging, and I truly learned so much in this course. The workload was perfect for learning the material, and I felt that if I ever needed help with a lesson, I could get it. I encourage anyone that has the opportunity to take this class to take it.
Dr. Hager is a really good professor and you can tell that she cares about her students. She was really good about making sure that everyone understands the material and will get good grades. Tt is basically impossible for you to fail this class if you go to lectures!
Hager is an incredible professor; intelligent, passionate, flexible, and always willing to help. The concepts are tricky with abstract geometry and brain teasers. However, she breaks them down nicely, and you will be able to understand them. Super flexible with attendance, and assignments are fairly short and easy. Office hours are great. Easy A!
Dr. Hager is the best! I need Intro to Math to complete a flag requirement, and she made it so easy. There were three different ways to attend class or learn the material, and everything was very well explained. She's very understanding, and eager to help.
Her Plan II Math class made math... actually fun?! She is always there to support her students, is super entertaining in class, and works hard to make sure everyone can succeed.
TAKE THIS FOR A MATH CREDIT! easiest intro to math class ever, i hate math and i loved this class. Hager is amazing, understanding and funny. 2 tests, usually open note, 1 hw a week, super easy, and 1 quiz a week you can re take however many times you want. she's really engaging and sweet and is flexible on deadlines.
I loved taking Dr. Hager's class! She's so easy to talk to and makes the lectures fun. She knows a lot of students aren't math people and she definitely caters to that. She's very busy with life stuff but does her best to make herself available for homework help. 3 exams but takes the 2 highest. Homework due every week but not very difficult
TAKE THIS IF YOU HATE MATH AND NEED CREDIT! This is the easiest math I have ever taken. Hager is a great professor and really funny. She knows most of us hate math and tailors class to that. Weekly homework, 3 tests. Highly recommend!!!
Professor Hagar was wonderful! She had engaging lectures and clearly explained all topics. She made herself easily available for any students that needed extra help and would often give us class time to go over homework questions. She allowed us to make a cheat sheet to use on exams. Lowest exam grade was dropped. Great professor!
I took this class through UT's university extension to get into ECH at UT instead of passing the Calculus AB/BC AP tests. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I do it again? No. I took 15 credit hours from UTPB and then did 408C. This class was HARD through its grading system. I still accepted the credit but now know to do 408D in person. [Fall 2022]
She is truly one of the best professors I have ever had. She genuinely cares about the success of her students which is rare. I highly recommend taking her as a math professor!! 10/10
She was an amazing professor! Although the class's content may be difficult at times she made it seem very easy. If I could take this professor again no matter the class I would. Genuinely, one of the best professors I have had at UT. Attendance to classes was not mandatory because she records them and posted notes for them online.
I loved prof. hager! she always makes lectures interesting & fun & her slideshows were so funny w/ her pictures she uses! She's very straight forward, as long as u pay attention to the material, u will have no problem in this class. Personally, I went to the lectures simply bc enjoyed them, but you absolutely don't have to go! Take this class!
Professor Hager is one of the few I had that really taught me how to understand math. She is attentive, respectful and is very good at keeping students interested in the topics!
I love Dr. Hager I wish she could teach every single class ever. She seems to be able to sense the class' mood about certain subjects and understands when things get difficult and will work accordingly. Plus attendance isn't mandatory at all.
Dr. Hager is simply amazing. She is by far one of the best professors at UT. She genuinely cares about her students' success, and helps them understand math in fun ways. She is very available outside of class, and her office hours are the best! If I could take her for every course I would!
Hager Slayyyys. Homework is due every week with roughly 12 questions. Half of them are discussed in lecture and the rest are easily answered in office hours. She is super funny and creates a great environment to learn. While most of her students are non-STEM she makes the class a breeze with only 2 Exams.
Dr. Hager's class is THE BEST. If you're looking for an easy class to take for your math credit, M 302 is the right one to take. Weekly homework assignments take about an hour, and attendance isn't mandatory, so it is really low maintenance while learning a lot! There is a midterm and a final, but you get a notes sheet, so it's pretty easy!
read the other reviews and take this class. enough said.
Very understanding if you don't understand the material.
Dr. Hager was amazing. She made the material interesting and easy to understand, and spent lots of time answering questions for people who needed it. Homework is easy and you get a notes sheet for exams. I would take another class with her if I could!
Professor Hager's class is a breeze - the weekly homework is manageable, and attendance isn't mandatory. Plus, she makes the lectures fun and engaging. I found Unstuck ai really helpful for exam prep in this class.
this class was super easy, engaging and really fun. there's one homework assignment due weekly, and maybe 2 or 3 mini quizzes to go with it (but you get as many attempts to do them and only your highest score is taken) even the homework is super easy, she gives us answers to half the questions. definitely take this class for your math credit!
hager is amazing. she obviously cares a lot and makes sure you understand the harder discrete topics. would highly recommend going to class, problems are given each day that help understanding. exams are straightforward and she makes it clear what you need to write down to do well. even gives study guides!
hager gives a lot of resources throughout the year (hw, textbook questions, in class practice, test reviews) for you to succeed. would recommend going to class as much as possible for proper understanding of the material. pretty content heavy after midterm 2, but doable if you keep up with hw and do the final exan review. overall, def recommend!!
Such a warm person. She is so kind, so passionate, and really wants to make sure her students learn and understand. Read the reviews, take this class for an easy math core.
Dr. Hager is the most involved professor I had during my time at UT. She is absolutely rooting for students to get an A in her class and makes it very possible to do so. Attendance is required once every week or so for the in person assignments, but I'd say to go as often as you can because she'll give hw answers in lecture!
