Very good, not exactly easy, but if you study, it is easy since she gives you a detailed study guide. Very fun and enjoyable class!

This is one of Sinclair's best instructors. Her classes are thought provoking and entertaining. If you get the opportunity to take any of her classes, seize them! :)

Super great instructor. You NEED to take one of Amanda's classes! The material covered is interesting, she presents it in a wonderful manner, and she's super cute and peppy. The study guides she hands out are fantastic preparations for the test, too.

The only way anyone would ever say anything negative about this woman is someone who WON"T come to her classes! The Tests were from notes and she did reviews before tests and gave DETAILED study guides- can't get much easier or much better- i had a BLAST with this class.

This teacher is great. She is prepared for class and she does a great job teaching the material. She is tough but fair. This class is awesome. I highly recommend this class and this teacher.

This class was a blast! I had taken other religion courses, but this one definitely takes the cake. I enjoyed how the material forces you to step outside your comfort zone and experience the mysticism of Eastern Religions.

This was a great class, she really makes it easy to understand the ideas behind the religions that we talk about in class. Test aren't horrible as long as you study hard for them. Great class, take it!

Very energetic and passionate. I took her for 'People & Religion' and she covers A LOT of material. Her exams are not the hardest I've ever had but they are DEFINITELY not the easiest either. You'll need to study quite a bit to maintain a decent grade in this class (i.e. an A or B). She mostly lectures with a few small group discussions.

Keeps the class awake, really out going. Brownie points if you're a movie buff. For Intro to Philosophy, she gives study guides for the exams, and there's a journal project that's really easy if you keep up with it. She went out of her way to make class interesting (art, plays, extra credit, etc.) and she doesn't take crap either.

Great Professor! I was sad when the class was over. She's very clear about what you have to know. You have to take a few notes but the notes are what's exactly going to be on the test. She gives you a study guide for the midterm and final. She seems really into what she's talking about. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

I took this in a 2 week miniterm. I am very UNRELIGIOUS and UNINFORMED...and I LOVED this class. GREAT teacher. It was even FUN, which seems impossible for a five hour a day class-I was sad when it ended. If I ever needed another of her classes I would take it in a heartbeat! The class was not EASY--but well worth the effort.

Amanda is very educated and knowledgeable about the subject that she teaches. She never lets her opinions interfere with any of the topics discussed. Her exams are detailed but if you pay attention and study they're not difficult. I think she's an AMAZING professor and a great person. I would highly recommended taking her.

Amanda is AWESOME. This isn't my first class with her. Make a friend the first day and exchange contact info, her midterms and finals are mostly based on the notes. She gives you a complete study guide. There are extra credit options. She makes the class fun. Uses a variety of teaching methods. She REALLY knows her stuff too!

Teaches information very well and tries to make it interesting. Information isn't that exciting but I would take her again and would recommend her.

Gives study guide, test is multiple choice and essays questions that are given at the beginning of each chapter. (only two chapters) she's fun, and hip yet still professional; young and very wise. she cares about her students and is very welcoming and friendly.

This was a very fun class to take. Ms. Hayden was a great teacher and really did try to make the class interesting. She brought in a few popular movies that are relative to the class. Not to mention, she is so cute!!!

Amanda is worldly, knowledgable, respectful, and open-minded. She teaches with ppt notes, videos, youtube, fieldtrips, music, books, and guest speakers. Ive taken both REL111 and 112, and they've really helped my understanding of world religions. Her tests are essay heavy, but she tells you what you need to study beforehand. EXCELLENT teacher.

Fun class. The readings from the textbook were mind-numbingly boring, but all of those readings are on the test. Amanda is a great, down to earth person who really knows religions.The portfolio takes time to do, but if you work on it here and there, it is reasonable. Easy A as long as you put forth effort.Extra credit opporitunities too.

Very interesting class with her as the teacher. She took us on field trips, had speakers, movie clips and fun discussions. She's young and slightly hippie, but really down to earth. Part of me thinks she gives a little too much work though because she's younger. But overall, I would take her again!

An excellent educator with an obvious passion for her area of experience. Backs up factual data with real-life examples. Classes are engaging and challenging at the same time. Also, super-cute in that psudo-goth-hippe-new-teacher kind of way. Too bad she's taken, sorry fellas.

Amanda is a great instructor. Rel 111 was an extremely easy class. The most difficult part of the class was the portfolio and the portfolio was not difficult. Amanda uses movies, youtube and a variety of different, yet, fun teaching methods. Amanda's class was engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it.

Eastern Religions. Awesome class! Amanda is passionate in her teaching. She really tries to convey her experiences in every sense of the word. I wish I hadnt taken this class so I could take it again for the first time. I would completely recommend it. This is easily one of the best teachers I have ever had. She makes things very interesting. She was very plesant to listen to and not to mention incredible to look at. :) Just don't fall behind on your portfolio and you will have no problems. I took her a while back and just wish I could find a reason to take another class with her. She is the devine reincarnation of Saraswati. She is the best teacher I have taken in my two years at college. I would recomend her to anyone who is going to be a teacher, because she is that good. She is an amazing teacher. This is my second time taking a class of hers and this time is was online. She is very easy and very willing to help any time needed. She is very good at emailing back too. I really recommend her for any of her classes.

Took eastern religions with her. Great teacher, you can tell that she loves teaching and that makes it all the better. Even if you think you have a pretty good idea of what religions are like, you should take the class anyways, you're still sure to learn something. It's not hard so long as you do the work and study for tests.

Took a REL course for an elective, was only mildly interested before it, by the end of that class I enjoyed it so much I took two others with her. Knows how to teach about religions without bias and can handle anything you throw at her on the subject, which is pretty impressive. Open-minded, fun, helpful, can't say anything bad about her.

Amanda is a wonderful teacher. I took Western Religions online and had a great experience. There is a lot of work, but Amanda grades fairly and quickly. She communicates really well and gets back to you very soon after you write her. I am going to take her for 2 more courses. Great instructor. Really knows the material and tells wonderful stories.

If you need a REL class this teacher is the one to take. I took rel 111 ONLINE during a MINI course which i was prepared to stress over since it was only 11 days. it was a breeze! the tests are cake, so are the discussions & u have one book report and a film summary. if you need a good grade & need this class take Hayden. always gives great feedbac

I took a mini-term Humanities class with Amanda and I was very happy with the course and the instructor. Amanda is quick with grading, gives excellent feedback, tells wonderful stories. It as if she is right in front of you with the way her course is designed. I had a great two weeks. I have taken her before and loved it, but this proves the rule.

This is the third class I have had with Amanda. She is one of the best professors I have ever had in many years of education. This class was fantastic. It was not easy necessarily, but interesting and extremely enjoyable. Amanda makes you want to learn as much as possible. She is fantastic! I am taking more classes with her in the future. TAKE HER!

Amanda is an amazingly powerful pedagogue. (Look it up, you're in college.) Her ability to remain neutral is astounding. She is not the easiest teacher, but you're in college and should expect to do some work. The only thing that can limit you in her class is you.

Took this course online - workload was immense considering it's a 3 credit course. Two forum posts per week, 3 quizzes and 2 exams. It wasn't hard, just took way too much time considering the credits. Would not take this course again. Would have dropped it if I wasn't in a hurry to finish my program.

I took Amanda's classes as often as possible. I enrolled in four of them, but I had to drop her philosophy class because it was too late in the evening and was cutting into my work schedule too much. I would love to be able to complete the class. She is by far the best professor I've had at Sinclair.

She is an awesome teacher. Right on top of things and replies to emails and posts grades really quickly (I took it online.) Would definitely take other classes from her. one of my favorite teachers here!

Amanda is awesome, she knows the material, she is very helpful. She tells you everything that is expected up front, she has grades posted in 1 to 2 days of the assignment being due. If she is teaching anymore classes that I need to take I am definetly going to take her. You will love her.

10 weeks in 5. The amount of work was normal for any class. I thought she gave me higher grades than deserved on my papers,she is very organized in her notes and expectations. Nice lady too, always encouraging when giving feedback. There is a bookreport, art project(watch movie), and you do have to go a service. Easy!

Truly a great teacher. I plan on attending another of her classes. And to the reviewer on 7/10/11, did you really expect to receive LESS overall work just because this was a 1/2 term class? Content is based on class, not time!

I took this course online, and Amanda Hayden was beyond helpful! Like any class, the work was a bit tough online, but can easily be done. She answered e-mails within the same day I sent them, and offered ENDLESS extra credit. I failed one entire portion on one of the exams, and still passed the class with an A. I highly recommend!

She has an awesome Eastern Religion's online course. It is structured well, interesting, and easy to follow. She doesn't have unreal expectations when it comes to grading. She offers plenty of extra credit. I had one post per week with one response. three tests, a book review (that is actually interesting), and a paper. Take it!

WONDERFUL instructor! Very personable and very active. Sent weekly email updates. Shared personal travel experiences that pertained to the lesson. Tests are extremely tough but she provides very detailed study guides!

Overall, this was a very interesting class. I enjoyed it very much. But it wasn't a breeze. You must read all assigned material in order to do well in the discussion posts and tests. She provides detailed guides to ensure that students understand her expectations. Amanda followed the syllabus and graded fairly. I recommend her courses.

ENG 1201 -Professor Hayden's expectations for her online class are clear. Exams can be tough if you don't follow the study guide. A lot of information on exams. Follow the study guide and you will do fine. Grades promptly and gives good feedback. Very understanding and works with you if you need help. I woud definitely take a class from her again.

REL1112 - Professor Hayden - one of the best at giving feedback & grading quickly. Encourages and answers emails & questions without delay. Exams are tough. Study all information on study guides and you'll be ok. Fill out Study Guide weekly instead of waiting until Exam week. Too much info to gather all at once. If you do this, you will do fine.

Even though it is heavy on writing and homework, this class was one of my favorites and she did a good job of explaining the material and going over what would be on the test.

This class was excellent & since I needed one more elective, I registered for another one of her courses. She was super fast with her grading & provides lots of feedback and extra credit opportunities. She has traveled a lot has shares her experiences to assist with the coursework. Overall excellent!

You will not be disappointed by this class! :) Mrs. Hayden creates a non-traditional classroom atmosphere. Very relaxed, students are expected to participate in discussions about material. Participation is one of the best ways to absorb the material, for tests and basic everyday knowledge :) Clearly, a genius teaching skill.

Best. Professor. Ever. You can tell how passionate she is about her career and teaching all she knows to her students. There are study guides for every exam that have everything you need to know- utilize them!!! She makes everything easy to grasp and offers a lot of extra credit. If I could take her for every class, I would. I definitely recommend!

For the class, all we had was three exams and a project, no homework. As long as you paid attention in class and looked over the study guide it's an easy pass. With lots of extra credit opportunities, and we took field trips.

Three exams, with essay and multiple choice portions, and weekly discussions. Dr. Hayden gave amazing feedback, and as long as you put effort into the class, you will pass. There is one essay, but it is an experience project, not a research essay, so it was interactive and fun to do. I would take another one of her classes in a heartbeat.

She is an amazing teacher and gives good lectures. She demands you be there in class on time, but doesn't take too many points away. Just read the material and you should be fine for her tests. She is also not too demanding when it comes to turning things in.

Professor Amanda is one of the most insightful professors I have had and I really enjoyed her class. Discussions are very important, so, make sure you are in class to participate. I loved that she was able to apply a lot of her lifestyle to the course material as it shows everything you learn in Environmental Ethics is not inaccessible.

Professor Hayden is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. I had her for Western Religions A term and ended up dropping my history class for B term so I could take her Environmental Ethics class, just to have her again. Her expectations are clear and if you do the work you will do well. Very responsive and intelligent. Loved her.

I had professor Hayden back in 2008 and still consider her to be a transformational professor for me. I had nearly failed out of a university and transferred to Sinclair as a final ditch effort. Hayden was a great teacher and was caring and understanding of someone nervous to take online classes. She also helped me learn a lot about environmental ethics, and now I care a lot more about Mother Nature.

Honestly a fun class. Reading every week and test every other week. Multiple choice test and exam test. Put in the work and you will get a good grade. She was nice and made the experience a lot better. There is an project at the end of the course but it was easy. I got a 100%.

I took Eastern Religions online with Professor Hayden and it was so much fun! The coursework is simple and easy to follow and she is a very very easy grader too. Take this course if you need gen eds/core courses filled and want an easy A!

Professor Amanda Hayden is an absolute joy of a professor. She is highly passionate about what she teaches, provides easily accessible ways to learn, and goes above and beyond what is required of her as a Professor voluntarily. Great professor, very clear on grading assignments. Beware though, most of the assignments are discussion posts which I'm not the biggest fan of. She only asks that you meaningfully engage with the materials, which wasn't too difficult.

Professor Hayden's REL1111 class is a delight. Her engaging lectures, fair grading, and interactive projects make learning a breeze. I'd recommend using Unstuck ai along with the textbook to ace this course.

I took Ms. Hayden for environmental ethics. I must say she is one of the most inspirational and impactful teachers I ever had in my life. She inspired and motivated me so much I changed my major to Sociology to try and make a impact on human society and the world as a whole. I would highly recommend taking her for any course you wont regret it.

Everyone was sad on the last day because her environmental ethics class was so awesome we wanted it to last forever. She is such an amazing professor and just a cool person, VERY passionate and VERY knowledgeable. Had Professor Hayden in one of my first classes back from being away from college for 5 years. Class was a breath of fresh air to take! She's very friendly to interact with and lenient/ understanding when it comes to grading and deadlines. Easily one of my favorite professors I've had, and hoping to take another one of her classes next semester!
