Amazing teacher. One of the best teachers I ever took. She explains everything clearly and when test time comes everything on the test she has gone over.

Took this class online in a session A. She's very clear on what she wants you to do, sends out reminders each week on what is expected for that week, and the quizzes are multiple choice and T/F. Quizzes are on the class notes and readings. Overall easy class and great teacher.

I found this class to be incredibly insightful. It was a seven week, online class, so we were reading two chapters a week. With the PPs provided, it made the quizzes (two a week, also) doable. The book that we wrote a paper on at the end was an entertaining and humorous memoir. Easy 'A' as long as you try to do well. Provides good feedback.

She is definitely a difficult instructor to please, but overall pretty fair. Martinez expects a lot from her students. You must pay attention to each aspect of the assignments/paper requirements. If you put forth the effort you should do fine. If not, then you will be in trouble.

Professor is a hard grader and demands students to really apply themselves. This is not a slacker course at all. Some of the course material was not explained all that well. Which lead to my "B" in the course.

This is my third course with Martinez. At first I did not really care for her style. However, I came to realize she is pretty straight forward in her requirements. You must put a great deal of effort into your discussions and assignments to pass her course.

she lays everything out for you in the syllabus, so you know exactly what you are getting into. there is not an excess of work- reading, discussion boards, and two short papers. if you put in any kind of effort into the discussion and do the work, u will get a good grade. she is not a difficult grader like some of the other reviewers have stated

Professor wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. Tests weren't overly difficult, but definitely know the material covered in the chapters. Study guide left a lot to be desired. Threatened to remove Hallway Conversations if we did not behave how she wanted. She's big on grammar and spelling. Mediocre.. not overly hard, but not extremely easy.

Not sure what all of the negative experiences were about. I read the reviews going in and I had my doubts but I'm glad I took her class. Tough grader but do the work and you'll do well.

I thought she was a good instructor, she sets clear expectations up front. Class and text were both interesting. She does provide good feedback and was pretty accessible via the classroom and email. Her grading was nothing out of the ordinary, just typical college level work. Emphasis on writing skills. Tests and assignments weren't difficult.

Professor Martinez is very good at keeping her online students informed with regular updates and assignment reminders. She is very responsive to questions and demands professionalism between her students during discussions. The tests are reasonably difficult, but not impossible. Study the PowerPoints!

She is a good instructor, grades fairly but she expects you to have college level writing skills. Text was interesting and not hard to read. Discussion board every week, two short papers, only three tests, none of which were difficult. Less than 400 points total so if you miss an assignment or test it will be hard to recover.

Very straightforward class. 3 discussion posts and 3 tests. one each week. The posts are easy and the grading rubric for them is understandable. Be sure to check your spelling. Tests are open book and the questions are pretty word-for-word from the book. Very interesting class!

Great teacher. Class consisted of 4 quizzes (20?'s in 45 min), 4 exercises, and 4 discussions. The book was easy to understand. The exercises were worth 60 points so don't skip any.

4 tests not super easy, 1 long paper and one presentation to the class. Its really not too bad. Just hate how she doesnt post the power points on BB so you literally have to write down each slide during lecture. Shes pretty nice though.

Tests aren't terrible if you read. There is mandatory attendance but I felt like I learned a ton from her class and she was really nice. We also had to give a presentation and write a paper, both on the same subject. She brought in some really incredible guest speakers.

Interesting class, that I would take again. I would actually take another class from Prof. Lindsey. The professor is fair in my opinion. Of course I haven't taken the final yet, but as of now I am at an "A". This is a masters level class, so she expects great writing. But it's nothing you haven't heard before i.e. APA format, references, etc.

This class is honestly not that bad. You do have to attend class and take notes because she will not provide you with the lectures online. You'll have 3 exams throughout the semester, 1 presentation, and a magazine to do at the end of the semester. Just keep up with your presentation and do your magazine ahead and you'll be fine.

The class was super interesting and I like her teaching style but the lectures dont prepare you at all for the tests. Definitetly need the book for this class if you want to pass. I would recommend only because I learned a lot from her class but get ready to read every night because exams are soley focused on the readings.

Amanda Lindsay was a cool professor, and she had really interesting lectures (if you're interested in criminal justice). She started with weekly discussion posts but those kind of faded out. Her exams were at home for my class and are open the whole class period. Take good notes and watch the films and you should be set.

She is a more quiet teacher but she cares about her students. She has weekly quizzes but they aren't hard at all and throughout the semester you work on a research proposal of your choice and she helps you along with it. You turn in sections every few weeks and she gives you feedback on them. I would take her again!

This was my favorite class this semester! The textbook was an easy and quick read, and was very interesting. She doesnt waste your time with lecture videos and the modules are clearly laid out. Each module last 3 weeks and has a DB, essay and an essay exam but you can work ahead. I loved this set-up as it allows you to rehearse the materials.

Awesome! The textbook for the class was great and the course assignments were based mostly on the book. There are some videos included to spice up things but they're not unbearable. Class won't be hard as long as you do your work and care.

I did not realize how many little assignments she had. There is a total of 6 assignments only 1 exam and 2 papers. Was a fair grader and responded to my emails fairly quickly. I would take her again I totally recommend her, especially for a 400-level course.
