Very great teacher, very helpful and her class is fairly easy. She is a little dorky but I loved her! We never looked at the book once, homework is always online.
AKA Ms. Amanda Nunley, she is the best math teacher I've had thus far. She goes over the material step-by-step and she will also help U one-on-one during her lab hours. I had to buy the math PKG because you could only use the calculator that came with it, no others. I didn't even unwrap the book cause it is avail online in the MyMathLabPlus.
I have dyscalculia and have always struggled with math. She went out of her way to make sure that I learned and succeeded. Amanda Nunley (now Sartor) is a fantastic teacher.
Mrs. Sartor is the best math teacher I've ever had. I wish I had her in high school. She explains everything clearly, step-by-step and makes sure U understand it. I hate math but Mrs. Sartor made it bearable. She is a great teacher :-)
She is so nice and very helpful. The guidelines for her class really keep you in check and help you to succeed. Mrs. Sartor cares about her students and truly wants to help in every way. Great teacher that I would definitely recommend.
Wonderful teacher! My favorite part of the class was the fact that she understood people make small mistakes when under a lot of pressure during a test, therefore she always gave credit for trying. She was very clear with her instructions and gave a lot of opportunity for extra credit.
MRS. SARTOR IS SUCH A SWEETHEART! SHE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING AND SOMETIMES HAS HER MOMENTS OF "AHHA MOMENTS"!!! PLEASE TAKE HER! SHE PRINTED OUT MY PRACTICE EXAM!!!! SHE STOPS IF YOU DON'T GET THE MATH PROBLEM! I AM TELLING IN THIS IS THE BEST ELEMENTARY CLASS EVA!!! :)
Mrs. Sartor is the best math teacher for any of the math courses! She is a good teacher over all and i recommend any student to take her class
Great teacher. Willing to answer questions in full detail to make sure everyone understands the concepts. Just signed up for her MAC1105 and am looking forward to it.
Mrs. Sartor is an excellent math professor. She explains things very clearly and is always willing to help. Attendance is not mandatory, but you better not fall behind in the homework because it's paced weekly. Definitely recommend her for any math class.
Professor Sartor is an amazing instructor. This was my third time taking Pre-Calculus and she was the first teacher to make it make sense. This is not an easy course, but she makes the learning easier than any math instructor I've had to date. She teaches you so you can pass the class, but also focuses on the next level. Highly Recommend.
Very good teacher and will keep explaining stuff as long as you need her to! homework is online and open until the end of the semester, most quizzes are take home quizzes and tests are easy if you study! Attendance isn't taken and you can watch the lecture online, but class is worth going to. Dont buy textbook, just access code for homework
Prof. Sartor is the greatest math teacher Ive ever had in my life!!! She makes math understandable and doesnt mind explaining it again when you dont get it. Dont waste your money on the book for this course, it will be available on the MyMathLab program.
Awesome math professor really knows how to break it down into understandable terms!
Great Teacher!
IF YOU SUCK AT MATH DO NOT TAKE THIS WOMEN!!!!!!! The homework and all the tests are a pain if you dont understand none of it and how to do it. She does not teach in class! She gives a worksheet then walks and answers a few question. She expects that you know the material already when she is supposed to review it first.
By far one of the best math teachers I've taken! HW is on a weekly bases. She does allow a "one time, no questions asked" excuse to reopen the HW. Some quizzes are in class but are very short, like 3 questions. Her test are not that hard and she does grade pretty easy. I took her for both college algebra and precalculus, got an A in both classes.
She was very nice. I emailed her and she responded quick. The first and last Test she added partial credit to the test where the answers could have been right and the last week opened the quizzes and homework so I could bring up my grade, which is the reason I ended up with an A. I hate math but I pulled an A out of this class.
Work in MyMathLab is due twice a week. There's a quiz every class on the material that will be covered after the quiz. There seemed to be a lot going on and if you aren't organized, its hard to keep it all straight. Her lectures are hard to pay attention to because there's no participation and she has a monotone voice. Would not recommend.
Prof. Sartor is a great teacher. Her lectures are straight forward and easy to follow. She answers emails quickly. If you put out the effort, this class is not that hard and there are plenty of opportunities to pick up points.
I took Professor Sartor's 8 week course and I will say that it was time consuming, but very easy. Her lectures are so thorough that you can use your notes for the online homework assigned each week. She allows you to make up work as long as you have all the work that's due the week you ask done. All in all, she was the best math teacher I ever had.
Provides partial credit on tests and exams, which is really beneficial. Provided lots of helped when asked. Offers many opportunities to improve grades.
I had her class 3 times a week it was also a summer class so there was a lot of homework, she did allowed us to catch up if you needed. there were quizzes everyday but open notebook. She was a caring professor i would definitely take her again!
Really sweet woman, very helpful lectures every class period. A lot of homework but her tests are always way easier than the homework so you'll be very well prepared if you do it. If you finish your homework early she lets you work on any past assignments that you want to improve your grade. I am usually hopeless at math and even I did well.
Highly recommend! Made Calculus tolerable. She sincerely cares about her students. Open notes quiz every class that really helps you remember the material. Very lenient grader- generous with partial credit. Gives extra credit too. Her exam study guides are three times harder than the exams. Favorite math teacher so far.
Best math teacher I've had. Professor Sartor teaches but makes sure that the entire class understands at the same time. There is a small quiz each class but its open note so its almost a guaranteed 100. 3 or 4 in class tests that are easy as long as you know the material. Would definitely take her again
Amazing teacher, you have to work to earn your grade, a lot of homework, some tests, quizzes are easy if you study, very caring and understanding
Really nice teacher. She allows you to work on past assignments to help improve grades if you finish homework early and tests are checked for partial credit also. The only complaint I can say was that there was a lot of homework with 3-4 lessons a week and a quiz over the lessons every single week. Homework took over a lot of my personal time.
She has really helped me with my math skills, she explains things very well and is always there to help you.
This professor did everything she could to help you get extra points in any area. She let you sometimes redo homework or do extra credit before a test. This professor cares about your grade and you passing the class. She sent us weekly reminders. As long as you do the homework the tests should be easy.
I HATE math but I LOVED professor Sartor. She gives extra credit and opportunities to work on past assignments .I was afraid to take a online math class but honestly after spending 4 weeks in a class room with out access to the online program, I dropped that course and took sartors online course. Best decision ever finished with an A :) TAKE SARTOR
Amazing teacher! Very understanding and does an awesome job making sure her students are prepared and comprehend the topics!
This was a 8-week online class which requires a lot of your time due to there was a lot of homework assignments. She provides great links to assist her students with understanding the material. You have to do the work and know the material to be successful in this class. All her test are "proctored" which means you will have to go to the campus!
I was never good at math but took her for algebra and precalc, got a A and a B online class. She is a great online teacher allows you to earn you grade. There is a lot of homework that comes with both classes, but it helped come time for the test. I would take again!
Precalculus Algebra. Lecture is mandatory because you might not know some topics later on the course. Try to get 100% on online homework and online quizzes. Her tests were easy if you take notes from lectures and ask questions and all. Her word problems worksheets are good resources for tests and the final exam. No makeup tests.
Probably the best professor Ive had. She explains it very well, she does extra credit & really wants you to succeed.
DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! She doesn't explain things well. She doesn't do any class particpation and just drones on. Im weird and I love math and usually am confident in it. This class seems impossible and nearly every day I have to struggle to stay awake because her voice is so monotonous and she never asks questions to get students involved.
Professor Sartor gives a quiz before each class and it is counted as attendance, it is an easy way to get extra points just by showing up to class. Her tests are straightforward and she gives credit for effort, even if the answer is wrong. Her lectures are very insightful and helpful, she uses a lot of examples. She gives great study guides.
I have struggled with math my whole life and made an A in Prof. Sartor College Algebra Class. She gives great lectures, makes it easy to understand and gives partial credit on test and on in class quizzes. Make sure online HWK and Quizzes are at 90%+ when due and you will not fail this class. Great professor all around, I would totally recommend.
Professor Sartor was not a bad teacher. She is extremely mono toned and hard to sit through. However, she does do a good job of answering questions and explaining things. She does give in-class quizzes every class but are usually note-based. There is always homework, and you can only make it up if you've done next weeks homework.
If you know college algebra don't take this class. I found myself sitting and staring at the board the entire class. I didn't take any notes and got A's on the test. There is a quiz every single class but you can use your notes. She is very good at explaining different problems.
I highly recommend this professor. Her lectures are very clear. You can easily make an A if you listen in class. She does not give that much homework either. She is very kind and will help you solve problems before class starts. I highly recommend this professor.
I would not suggest this professor to anyone and have no clue how she has a good rating. She is the worst professor I have ever had. She is very condescending when you ask any questions and her response rate is awful. When she does respond its very vague and unhelpful. No notes allowed She does not care about her students. Worst professor. Beware.
She really does break down everything in many different ways, she does care about her students and always takes questions before and during class. The only downside is MathLab (the online site to do HW and quizzes) is kinda stupid. But overall shes a very good prof and its recommended to show up everyday cause she uses class time wisely.
This class almost broke me. Took the online 12 week course and there are 5 homework assignments and 2 quizzes due each week. It takes me about 8-10 hours a week to complete everything. It's insanely time-consuming and MyMathLab is not very helpful. There's just too much going on in this class for me to actually learn the material.
Prof. Sartor is great. Take notes during lecture, do your HW and you will pass. great HW grade will balance out any bad grades. In Class quizzes but you can use your notes. Finish assigned HW for the week early and you can fix any old quiz or Hw with a low grade. Passed with an A and I hate math.
I took prof. sartor for MAC 1105 so I decided to take her again for MAC1140 online 12 week. this class is not easy to take online. About 4-5 HW assignments a week (due every sunday) with 20 questions, very time-consuming, each question can have 10 parts. Quiz every week due tuesday. Extra credit discussion from practice test. 3 test including final
Mrs. Sartor was a really caring professor that I respected, it was my first ever online college course, and I would say my experience was very good. The entire class was not the most difficult, and it everything was clearly laid out with instructions, along with lots of chances of making up past work.
Prof. Sartor was one of the best I've ever taken. I did this course online and it wasn't difficult. Final Exam was VERY easy. She also gives extra credit and I ended up with 101% at my final exam. She opens up old homework for you, if you have a +70%. I highly recommend this professor. Take it and you won't be dissapointed.
I took Professor Sartor online during 2020 Spring. She offers a short extra credit discussion for every test, has about 3-4 hw and 1-2 quizzes a week. She always answered every email really fast and answered every question I had. She also offered so many resources to learn the lessons! Highly recommend her if math is not your favorite class.
Probably one of the best math teachers Ive ever had. Theres a quiz every class but she lets you use time after class if you arent finished, the study guides help a lot and she grades lenient with partial credit. she assigns homework every night from the textbook but its for your own practice and it helps a lot. Breaks down lectures very well.
Mrs. Sartor is wonderful! Clear, amazing lectures and very helpful during office hours. Open note, in-class quizzes that usually help your grade and prepare you for the exam. Homework is optional, but also helps you with the tests. She also offered extra credit, and replaces your lowest test score with your final if you score 80%+ on the final.
Mrs. Sartor is superb! Clear, amazing lectures and very helpful during office hours. Open note, in-class quizzes that usually help your grade and prepare you for the exams. Homework and quizzes were on MyMathLab with unlimited attempts on the quizzes. Gives you one free pass if you accidentally miss a homework assignment by the due date. Easy "A."
She was the worst professor I have ever took. She gives so much homework with very little lectures an then the test are horrible. She never responds to emails and when she does she doesnt help. I wish I would of dropped this class when I had the chance. She doesnt care about her students.
She doesn't leave anyone behind and asks if you are following her after every example in class. She gives extra credit, and if you use the resources she gives you, you'll do well. She makes studying really easy by breaking up the studying into extra credit assignments every week. She really wants her students to understand what she teaches.
Love how she asks everyone if they understand after examples in class. And love how she has a nongraded practice test each week which allows me to really learn and not stress about the grade. And has a youtube playlist of practice questions.
Would highly recommend to other students, she has websites/YouTube playlists and many other helpful ways if you get stuck on a question. Amazing teacher who actually cares about teaching and her students. If your considering her or another professor pick this one cause she is good.
Mrs. Sartor is an absolutely amazing professor. I won't lie, there is an insane amount of homework but if you can make a schedule and stick to it, it's not as bad as it seems. She takes her time to teach and goes over everything you need to know. She is super sweet, understanding, and gives you chances to redo homework and quizzes. 110% recommend.
Professor Sartor is fantastic, there is a lot of work, but I've found that to be true of all the math classes I've taken. Uses Pearson and provides TONS of lecture examples and gives extra credit opportunity every week. She will also allow you to go back and retake old tests/assignments to improve your grade. Would take her again in a heartbeat!
There is a lot of homework, but its bearable. Does give lots of extra credit too. Lectures help a lot, lots of examples during lectures.
She is such a great teacher. I really struggled in her class but she gives extra credit every week if you finish your weekly assignments by Friday. She also gives you notes during the lectures along with making youtube playlists for the tests. There are three big bests and each quiz is due on Mondays.
I want to start of by saying she was one of the best and nicest professors Ive ever had, I used to hate online classes but she made it a breeze, everything was set clearly from the start. Offers lots of extra credit opportunities and her lectures were to the point. I wish she was available for Calc 2 and 3 I would take her class in a heartbeat.
I had Professor Sartor for MAC1105 and she was not the best professor. Between never informing students what time our final exam closed on Sunday to always experiencing difficulties with the math program she used. Whenever I would contact her for help she would take forever to answer her phone or email and when she did it was never helpful info.
If I could give her an 11/5 I would. One of the absolute best. Kind, forgiving, and understanding. No question the most resources I have ever been given in an online class. Work hard and she will do everything she can for you. Am going to take her for every class I can. Literally stopped a panic attack for me during finals. Just a phenomenal person
She clearly explains what the topics are for the week and what to study. Her lectures are clear and she always asks if anyone has questions. She provides a multitude of resources for you to pass. The practice quiz are identical to the quizzes so make sure to practice.
I have 3 kids, work 2 jobs and I decided to go back to school at 32 years old. Professor Sartor made the class so easy. The math was difficult but Sartor was there for me and helped me anytime day or night. You can tell she cares about her students and she wants them to succeed. I couldnt have done so well in the class if she didnt encourage me.
This professor is the worst you could've ever encounter. The program she uses is a disaster and she only grades her quizzes based on the scratch paper. Her methods are lengthy and useless she will exhaust you body and soul. 100% NOT RECOMMENDED if you want to learn something.
Professor Sartor was AMAZING. She made calculus easy with how thoroughly she covered topics. Tests and quizzes are straight forward, and she offers plenty of extra credit. I HIGHLY recommend taking her for any math class she is an option for.
Easy class, she gives out notes so you can keep up with her during the lecture. There is a lot of extra credit that counts toward tests.
Very good teacher, I was able to pay attention to in class for the most part and she explains things very well so I didn't have to study much outside of class. In class quizzes every Tuesday. Takes the time to provide her students with any resource they could possibly need to get an A in her class. Would definitely take her again.
Professor Sartor is amazing. Very understanding and forgiving. Quizzes each week but other than that attendance is not mandatory and she does have her lectures pre recorded which I found very helpful bc I could pause and take notes. 3 tests in class but If you follow her material and take the practice quizzes/tests you'll be fine. Hw not graded.
This is a late review however I've took 3 courses with sartor and this was my final one. The online courses have graded hwk meanwhile on campus it just comes down to you. I prefer taking the course on campus in spite of the long commute. I learnt a lot and she is great since you can discuss after class with her or in office hours and it helps. -cz
Really good teacher always has tons of videos to help you and gives fast responses. Will always let you go back and finish late assignments for full credit. Extra credit every single week for tests. Some weeks there is a lot of homework, but within the time frame it all makes sense. Make a schedule for yourself to stay on time!!
Professor Sartor has a very lenient grading policy for exams (partial credit for scratch paper) and offers extra credit assignments each week. It's obvious that she wants her students to succeed. With the way she sets up her class, all you have to do is get through the assignments and study the practice tests and you'll be fine.
Professor Sartor was awesome. I usually struggle with math, but I ended up learning a lot from her online class. She has extra credit and allows you to go back on assignments to make your grade better. She always answers fast as well! Highly recommend!
If you're not good at math, take Professor Sartor. She offers very generous extra credit assignments and grades your exam scratch paper for additional partial credit. This really makes a huge difference. She's available to help with questions outside class, and she even answered questions on the weekends. If you want to do well, look no further.
Prof. Sartor is a great professor and understands the subjects she is teaching. She is available to help before/after class and she allows late work. She gives opportunity for extra credit every week. Although there is a lot of homework, I feel this is normal for a math class and it is beneficial for you to complete in order to pass the tests.
I took her A7-week class. She is super sweet and truly cares for her students. A lot of homework and quizzes. Overall this class requires a lot of studying. There are 2 proctored exams, and when it comes to testing times, she will allow a sheet of paper with the formulas as a help. Get ready to study. Overall an amazing professor.
Amanda was amazing! Lots of homework but her lectures are extremely helpful! She also allows help sheets during tests. Quizzes are unlimited attempts. Take her and you will not be disappointed! She was also easy to reach outside of class and was always there when I needed help.
Prof Sartor is the kindest, most relatable professor I've had. I took her for Calc 1 and she made the math reasonable and relatively understandable. She made her class available online for people who could not attend everyday. 2 tests and 1 final. Can use calculator on exams. Try to get all points on HW as they count for a mass amount of points.
She has a slow-paced way of teaching, which is not my personal preference, but it is helpful for those who prefer this kind of learning pace with math. She cares about her students, so if you have any questions or concerns, don't be afraid to take it up with her. Despite the slow pace, her lectures explain the concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
She is a fantastic professor. Her lectures can be a bit slow paced, but she gets her points across clearly. She answers questions and concerns in a reasonable time. She is very generous with the extra credit, and she tries her best to help her students out to get a better score overall in the class. You will have a great time being in this class.
This class was well made, with plenty of resources to help you succeed. As I took it online, my experience may have been different, but I still believe that Professor Sartor is an understanding and fair educator who knows what is necessary to succeed mathematically in life and college.
the worst professor I've ever had. She is very rude and unhelpful her assignments are all over the place. the tests are watched but you get no help You can't even have notes that isn't cheating. And not only that the study guides are nothing like the test and they are half your grade so the homework helps with nothing. just dont.
Best math professor I've ever had! She's amazing at explaining things and if you don't understand the lecture, she has a youtube channel and a website for you to watch. The tests are not bad; she has a few practice questions uploaded on her youtube channel that are really similar to the actual test.
Honestly, loved Sartor. She was extremely accommodating towards me when I couldn't attend in person due to a last minute situation and was understanding of it. Never had difficulty contacting her. Definitely cares about the student and teaches well and had other resources to also use that can better prepare for tests.
Professor Sartor is an amazing professor and I liked how she records her lectures so if you aren't in class you can still watch the lecture to see what examples she did and to solve them. There is a quiz and every week but if you miss an assignment you can email her and go back to do it. Practice test discussions are extra credit on exams.
She is an amazing college professor. Deadlines do matter in this course and make sure you do the extra credit. They will help boost your test grades. She response in a timely manner and will help you. There are three proctored test so just make sure you study and take good notes. I would recommend printing out the notes and watching the videos.
I enjoyed taking this course, the class was a little trying at times only because I have been out of school for 10 years. She responds quickly and the workload wasn't super heavy even though I took a 7 week accelerated class. Would definitely take her again.
Professor sartor was amazingggggg, she takes lectures slow and really makes sure you understand what she's talking about. So much extra credit it would be crazy to not do well in this class. Shes always available to answer questions and explains everything clearly. I really do wish she's available for every math class I need to take.
The lectures are guided notes with mostly following examples on how to solve the problems without much opportunity for students to practice questions themselves during class and outside of homework. The techniques taught in class were understandable. Compared to the lectures in class, Pearson made Calc MUCH more difficult. (Screw Pearson, honestly)
She's literally heaven sent as a professor. I would've gotten a better grade but I had a lot of personal issues during the semester. She was very understanding and compassionate. The Mac 2311 is already difficult but her teaching videos and homework make it doable. It's very easy to get in touch with her at all times. 10/10 experience
She Is a Very Good professor! I loved that she gave us a lot of extra credit for exams, and they really help bump up your grade. She was very nice, and I would recommend you take her class! Easily a 5/5!
Professor Sartor is an outstanding math teacher! Her lectures are well-organized, engaging, and easy to follow. She ensures that every student masters the material and thoroughly reviews every possible question type that could appear on the test, so you'll feel more than prepared for your exams.
Her course was easy. Definitely study a lot for the tests, though. The homework was tedious, but you can redo it until you get 100% same as the quizzes. Just do the practices and extra credit assignments.
Professor Sartor is extremely nice and caring. I took this class before with Paula Risko last fall (who you should avoid at all cost), but Professor Sartor feels like a breath of fresh air. She records the class and uploads it online if you can't make it to class. I'm taking her for college algebra next sem. Recommend her sm
this professor is amazing and SUPER understanding if you have issues especially if you have any sort of learning disabilities!! she gives a good lot of extra credit assignments and even lets you do test corrections, teaches in a way that is comprehensible and not over-complicated!! i deffo recommend this prof!!
Amanda is an amazing math wiz. She is so caring for each of her students and their success in math. She always makes time to get help and provide resources as well. There is 3-5 modules a week, with an open note quiz at the end of the week and offers late 25 late passes for them, 3 tests and a final. If you struggle with math, take Prof Sartor!
I think that this teacher was great, considering that I usually never enjoy math classes. She was always available and friendly and cared about you passing the class and always explained the material in a simple way to understand easier. Great teacher would take again.
