She is so young and hip. She makes jokes and is really sweet. I got almost 100% on the tests from studying the powerpoints she gives&doing the practice tests for the chapter in the book. Reading isn't necessary because of the powerpoints. She is really clear what will be on the test. She makes the class relatable and interesting. Love her!
She is very sweet, kind of rushes through the power points but don't worry because they are straight from the book! She does a review session before each test and it makes it really hard to get lower than a B! fun video project and always has our grades posted! only 3 test multiple choice T/F and matching
She is a very nice teacher. You will definitely learn a lot. No presentations. Easy in-class assignments that can be done individually. Easy A! She talks fast so be an active listener when writing notes. Book is very long. So just study only her lecture and ppt notes. Easy A. Do the practice quizzes on mind tap to help for the midterms.
You learn a lot of interesting material. You have a couple of in class assignments, a video project, and 3 tests including the final. She provides a review for each test. I would study off of the stuff reviewed in class and got an A or B on each test. TAKE HER
AMAZING PROFESSOR! she is the nicest professor I have ever had. She does anything she can to help out and will give out a lot of extra credit if you continually show up to class. She gives you plenty of time to work on the easy assignments and is extremely helpful. I would recommend her thoroughly. Not to mention she is absolutely GORGEOUS.
She is absolutely the sweetest thing ever! Her assignments are very straightforward, and if you attend lecture regularly and do everything you're supposed to do, you will definitely get an A! The only thing is her lectures are mainly her reading off her Power Points that she posts on Beach Board, so you could probably get by on your own.
Prof Sauceda is so sweet & young she could pass for a student! Class was simple and straightforward. Attendance isn't required but be sure to go before the test date as she'll review important material. Didn't use the book besides for in class assignments and still got an A. 2 midterms+1 final and a couple at home assignments. Interesting class. :)
Really easy class. Just do the homework and classwork. Test are really easy and she offers extra credit.
Super easy class and she posts all the slides online. Sometimes offers extra credit pop quizzes so there is one perk of going to class. She always reviews for her tests prior and tells you exactly what you need to know. Very laid back lecture and loves talking about food. She always finishes lecture 20-25 minutes early too!
I felt like this class had a lot of content, but it was still pretty easy to get a good grade. 2 midterms, 1 final, online quizzes, take-home and in-class assignments, and 1 video project. Sounds like a lot, but she's a good professor. Just make sure you actually go to lecture. You'll definitely learn a lot
Amanda is one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. The lectures are always interesting and she always lets the students out around 30 minutes early. Very easy class, Amanda is hot, and she is really nice and doesn't care if you go to lecture.
I enjoyed this class. Although sometimes i felt like i had to teach myself. I read the book briefly and studied her slides and i got A's on all her exams. Exams were pretty easy. She offers a decent amount of extra credit, and gives you study guides.
She's an awesome teacher! Tests are pretty easy if you go to lecture and study the notes from the powerpoints she does. She gives out a lot of points for homework projects that are super easy and take like no time at all. Easy A, she's super nice and will help anyone to succeed, and it also helps that she's really attractive.
Easy to skip because all her powerpoints are posted online, but she gives pop quizzes on days when there was barely anyone in class. Her lectures are long and dense. A lot of extra credit is offered. The day before the test she goes over all the material that will be on it
She is super nice! Her powerpoints are very brief but she does review before every exam and tells you what exactly will be on the exam. She gives super easy projects and a lot of extra credit. Pop quizzes when people don't show up but she sometimes lets you take them in small groups. Also a couple in class assignments.
DONT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. all info is in the powerpoints. gives reviews before exams so as long as you study them, you'll get an A. projects are super easy. easy grader. random, in-class activities so show up to class, the extra points definitely help at the end of the semester. overall, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND
This class was easy and fun. Prof Sauceda made all requirements and grading criteria clear and easy to understand. Assignments were easy, lots of extra credit was offered. Take this class, and take it with her.
Sauceda is one of my favorite teachers! She's really funny in sarcastic way and her lectures hardly ever last the full class period. She gives pop quizzes at the end of some lectures that are really easy, as long as you paid attention. And the work load is completely doable. Definitely take Sauceda!!
The tests are pretty tough, which was surprising. If you aren't a science-y person, then you'll have to work at it. She doesn't give you a study guide and the tests have questions that all interconnect with each other (which makes it tough 4 studying). She isn't the best at explaining things.
Amanda is a great professor for 132, take her if possible! 2 midterms, 2 online exams, and 1 final that is not cumulative. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities and lots of take home projects that are easy points to help boost your grade. Random in class assignments and 6 pop quizzes. Lets you out like 20 minutes early most of the time.
Amanda is sweet and very lively. She levels with you and makes her lectures seem very casual and very tolerable. She is passionate about what she teaches and helps relate what you learn to your everyday life outside of the classroom. Def. would take again.
She's sweet, genuine, relaxed, honest, funny, cute, pretty much just dope in general. Pay attention in class, do the online assignments, and you are good to go ) Lots of extra credit and random days when class is optional.
Amanda is one of the best teachers I have had at CSULB. She tells you exactly what she expects of you in each assignment and grades fairly. She is hilarious and an amazing lecturer. I learned a lot about nutrition and I had fun at the same time. She also offers extra credit.
I highly recommend to take her class. Class is not too difficult and you want to study for the exams. She does assigns homework. Also, go to class! She gives pop quizzes. Overall, great class and get ready to do some work!
This professor is relaxed and funny. She's very young so she's more relatable than most professors. For the most part I recommend her class; it's essentially an easy A. She isn't flexible with deadlines (seriously, don't miss them) but gives EC opportunities. Her PP slides tend to only list topics and don't include details so that's a downside.
Awesome professor! Super chill and down to earth.
I had her for a hybrid class and it was pretty easy. Her lectures are online so you can rewatch it to take notes. Tests are pretty easy since she goes over what's going to be on the test. She also gives you extra credit opportunity.
Honestly its an easy A and it covers physical science without lab ge, so definitely take it with her. She is very laid back and knows what she is talking about. Only met once a week and lectures are online as well so you can refer back to them. Trust me you will not regret taking her, she is pretty cool and gives lots of extra credit opportunities
Really down to earth and funny professor. Class was kind of easy. Make sure to come to class and watch the lectures online. Also, pay attention to due dates! ALWAYS check online when things are due, missing an assignment will knock down your grade in the class greatly. No assignments come from the textbook but it's nice to have to study out of.
I took the hybrid class so we only met once a week. She is a super down to earth and funny prof and she made every lecture interesting. A lot of extra credit is given nd she tells you exactly what is going to be on the tests so it is almost impossible to not get an A. Loved this class and definitely would take her again!
She's very funny and chill. Passed her class with an A and never bought the textbook. Simply just show up to your lectures, take good notes and do good on your weekly quizzes (just 10 questions). We only had 3 tests and she does a review. She also posts the lectures online so make sure to watch those before the tests. She makes it interesting.
Honestly, I am not the biggest fan. I took her hybrid.. it was ok but i don't feel like it was worth it. I feel like all I did was memorize stuff and spit it out on the exams..a bit monotonous. I suggest taking a diff instructor for this class. If you need this GE, maybe a diff prof can make it more interesting and worth your time.
This class was very interesting. I would take her again if I would have to. Class is not hard and she shows that she cares. please take her because you wont regret it.
Easy GE class and very cool professor. plus she's bomb
Sauceda is really sweet. I took her hybrid course, and easily got the A. If you do everything that she asks, you will get full credit. There are weekly online quizzes. She'll give extra credit to the people in class if attendance is low. I learned a lot and was genuinely interesting. Recommend 10/10.
I took this as a hybrid class. Her lectures showed how much she enjoyed the topic which made the class interesting and easy to learn. There were several easy online assignments and few in-class group activities. Near the end you have to make a two minute group video. Definitely recommend taking her.
Took her hybrid class. You have weekly quizzes but everything is online so you can get away with not reading the material. Attendance is mandatory because she does in-class activities every week that goes into your participation grade. Super easy class. Quizlet will be your best friend!!
I took her hybrid course and it was great. Online quizzes each week, 3 major tests, and a couple of easy assignments. Met in class once a week and one online lecture a week. Very approachable and open to class discussion. Group activities done in class and she always dismissed us 30 min early. Great experience and quite easy.
Very easy hybrid class! I totally recommend her. You do not need a hard copy of the book but you will need the connect for it because that is how a few assignments and your weekly quizzes are done. Meeting in class once a week was pretty great too!
I took Amanda's hybrid class. If you are looking for an easy A class I would defiantly take her course. Since it's hybrid you do teach yourself like 50% of the time but trust it's not hard just read or look over the powerpoints. There are online quizzes every week, 3 exams, a video project, diet analysis and in class you work in groups a lot.
I made this class C/NC which was really helpful. The class is super easy. 2 exams in class, 1 final online. A few mini projects but they're really easy. I suggests going to class because we have in class activities which are easy points to get. This professor is really easy. I recommend!
Take the hybrid class, really really easy. Meet once a week in class, she lectured a bit, small group activity, then finished early. If a lot of people are absent on class days, she gives extra credit. Online work is through learnsmart and takes like 10 min. All tests are multiple choice, straightforward and basically covered in study guide.
You have to show up to class bc although she's nice & easygoing she's not stupid, she will do in class group stuff (super easy) to see if people go. also, she gives so many opportunities to pass the class. i started off with an F bc i failed all the exams but ended up with a B bc the final was online, EASY NUTR132 CLASS TAKE IT!
RECOMMEND!!! Took her for hybrid class, she's really understanding and clear with her grading criteria! Also suggest going to class, she does in class group assignments for really easy points. Always work in groups. Lot of extra credit offered. Only 2 midterms, and 1 final. Tests are a bit harder, but reading all her notes and book will help!
Loved her! She's so relatable and funny. I took her hybrid class and recommend it. You have to buy the textbook on Connect which was like $90. Online assignments due every week (so easy everything is on quizlet). Lecture and group work are in class. Easy A GE take her!
You can definitely get an A in this class as long as you complete the online quizzes and come to class for group assignments (which are very easy). But make sure to study and review before tests because they can be very specific.
Just show up to class to do group works and do the assignments online. Would take again.
I enjoyed her hybrid class a lot. Meeting once a week was nice and class usually ended early bc she gets straight to the point. She's very enjoyable when she lectures. Only con was paying for the textbook/Connect. Make sure to READ the textbook for her exams bc they're specific. Many extra credit opportunities and weekly assignments on connect.
Professor Sauceda is honestly really caring and passionate. However, there are a lot of things you are graded on. There are 2 midterms in which you seriously have to study and read the book. The final is online, but you also have to study for that. There are weekly quizzes and diet analysis. Go to class!!
This class is so easy. Quizzes are online and 95% of the answers are online. Going to lecture is mandatory or you'll lose participation points. Exams are exactly like the study guide. I never took notes or looked at the book. Just do the study guide and study off of it. The final is online, it was harder than the two midterms. EASY A.
Average teacher. Average class. Took her hybrid class and it was a little tough on me but its very easy to pass since the answers are found online. I do suggest to study for the tests as they do help to learn but simply to pass. Two in class tests and final was online. Rest is online meaning quizzes and Diet Analysis (something I struggled on)
Attendance isn't really mandatory but there are many in-class assignments which basically makes it mandatory. I would have gotten an A if I didn't skip so much. Weekly homework and online quizzes. Homework is typically worth more than quizzes. 3 tests. You can get extra credit from in-class stuff.
This was a hybrid class. Class once a week. Quizzes and tests are all done online and answers can be found online. Entry tickets from readings completed by every class meeting.
All tests are online and answers can be found online (QUIZLET). Entry tickets (3 things you learned from each chapter) are turned in at the start of every class. Responsive to emails. Gives extra credit. Attendance is req bc of activities in class (EASY). You can't really fail this class because everything is handed to you.
One of the best professors I've ever had! I recommend taking her hybrid class. You only meet with her for one day and attendance is not mandatory but you have entry tickets due which is how she takes attendance. You do most of the work online. All of the tests, quizzes, and homework is due through Connect so make sure to purchase the book.
Amanda is a super chill teacher. For the hybrid class, you must show up to class in order to receive points. The online homework is super easy, and is accessed through the textbook. Exams are online and easy, but you should still fill out the study guide and make sure you understand what you have learned. I thought the class was interesting.
This was a hybrid class, so most of the homework was online as well as the quizzes and tests. There was only 'entry ticket' (fairly easy) and lectures in class. The entry ticket was basically to check in that you were there and were not difficult at all. She provided study guides for every exam which helped a lot. Textbook is about $90 (required).
Super easy class. Would watch movies on my laptop but showed up to class for credit. Poweroints contained everything needed for tests. Everything is online. Would def take her again if I could!
Easy class and good professor. She is ontop of it when it comes to the schedule and assignments, gets grading done really fast. She explains things pretty well. Lectures are decent. Assignments are straight forward. She is real chill and easy to talk to! Only bad thing about this class is having to buy the textbook
I thoroughly enjoyed Amanda the ENTIRE semester, even when we switched from hybrid to fully online. She always made herself avaliable, compensated for the sudden transition, and even gave free extra credit just to be nice! Her class isn't difficult but you do need to study if you want good grade on the exams because they are VERY specific!
Amanda has done everything in her power to make this class as easy as possible. The way everything is organized on beach board is very easy to manage and she will always send reminders when homework is due once a week. The class is over all an easy A. I would recommend her just do your homework because those are your main points
She is a really good and caring professor. Sauceda always sends reminders of assignments and exams that are due, she also gives out extra credit which is so nice. As long as you do the assignments you'll pass the class. This class is an easy A and you don't have really have to show up for class because she posts slides and pre-recorded lectures.
Great professor! Really tried to make online classes flexible and easy to manage with a busy schedule. Very clear on assignment grading and short/informative lectures.
Professor Sauceda was literally my favorite professor this semester. Had her morning class, she really likes to engage with us and doesn't like to just lecture and talk for the whole hour (usually dismisses early). Hw is really easy and she offers like 4-5 extra credit assignments. Only downside is you need to buy the online textbook.
She is such a great teacher and is really passionate about what she teaches. She really cares about her students too and it's impossible to not get an A. There is lots of extra credit throughout the semester and there are weekly assignments but they're not really hard. I recommend taking her because she is honestly the best
The lectures were extremely comprehensive overall the it was such a clear and easy class because all the work is already set up online you can totally skip ahead without having to be at the lectures, I think I went like twice but shes so caring on my final I had a technical difficulty and she reopened it for me when I emailed her at like 9pm.
She is so kind. If you missed an assignment and you gave her a good reason, you can redo it. All of her exams and quizzes are easy.
Dr. Sauceda is amazing!!! She is very kind and understanding if you need extensions or help. The exams are mostly lecture-based but the questions are not difficult to understand. She offers plenty of extra credit throughout the semester. There was about 1 homework assignment due a week, but most were very easy and did not take. Loved this class!!
Make sure you do your homework on time and you'll do fine. The tests weren't hard. There is homework weekly.
A few discussions and a couple of online assignments. She's passionate about the class, but it might be tough if you dislike any chemistry or biology. Tons of extra credit, but if you do the assignments on time you won't need it. Exams are also pretty easy.
I would recommend her if you are trying to complete a GE course. Most of the work was done on an app/website which costed about $68 and provided you with the exams, assignments, and textbook. Her lectures were pretty interesting and ended fast as she would try to get you out of class a bit earlier which was great.
Class consists of 1 online hw assignment a week due Fridays at 5 pm which are easy. Late work is 50% off so don't do work late it'll affect your grade a lot. 3 Exams all taken online & r very similar to lecture slides gone over in class. Attendance not mandatory but recommended as my class only met 1 time a week & we always got let out early.
I learned more in her class than the BIO 207 class I was taking. Really easy course to fulfill a GE. This class consists of 1 homework assignment weekly (easy) and 4 online exams completed on your own time. My class met once a week but was not mandatory. She gives a TON of extra credit opportunities, mostly to those who attend class.
super easy and fun class. professor sauceda is nice and a great teacher. only a couple of assignments and 3 tests are online. interesting and straightforward class. i truly enjoyed this class. just pay attention and take notes for an easy A!
ngl this class was harder than i thought it would be. she's a great teacher and the lectures are fun. i read maybe two chapters of the textbook before giving up on the reading. watch out for her tests though. there's only two tests and she gives study guides for both, but a lot of the questions on the tests aren't covered on the study guide
If you take NUTR 132, 10000000% recommend you to take her. Coming from real feedback.
Prof sauceda was great. This was a half online/ half in person course, and it was a super chill class. There were weekly assignments, but very manageable. In person lectures were also engaging. Also super nice and funny! I recommend.
This is a good class for someone who needs to meet their requirements. showing up is important for points but the class is really short+only going thru slides so... :// Its a pretty easy class just know that the study guides arent really accurate for the exams, other than that, the assignments are easy enough
she is the sweetest! took her class for the E requirement and i don't regret it. such an esay class with little to no hw. she lectures for like 30-40mins bc she doesn't like talking for so long. attendance isn't mandatory, but she gives random participation tasks in class. we went to the beach kitchen for two presentations, and free food!! 10/10 :)
Take her! She's funny and very nice. Always gives extra credit. Online textbook that you need to buy it's like $70. Three tests are all online. Barely gives homework. Very easy class.
She is a good professor but kind of unwilling to work with students. She gave a lot of extra credit which helped but I was on the verge of getting bumped up a letter grade (89.9) and she said nah. Makes sense but I tried, overall great, fun, easy class.
This was an asynchronous class, so she had us do hw after class and read before the next one. Pretty easy in general, just complete hw and in class participation and it'll be an easy A. The prof is really sweet and has engaging lectures.
Professor Sauceda is fantastic! Her lectures are concise but informative, and homework is very reasonable/minimal. She is very approachable for questions and offered a few extra credit assignments in-class
Asynchronous class but was very easy to attend. Always be present as she does a paper assignment at the end of each lecture that goes towards your participation. Overall not a hard class a little boring during the lecture since she reads off of slides. Homework and tests are doable as long as you do them before the deadline.
One of my fav professors I've taken at CSULB. This class is easy with her, and the way she explains things helped me understand and enjoy learning about nutrition. Highly recommend taking NUTR132 with her at some point!
