She's an awesome teacher. If you don't understand something, she'll go over it again until you get it. She is extremely sweet and cares about her students. I highly recommend her!

Ms. Saxman is always VERY helpful if you ask her a question. Math dosen't come easy to me but she really helps me understand it! Her enthusiasm makes me actually enjoy math. She is a great teacher!

Ms Saxman is awesome! I have always hated math and she gives you the tools you need to get an A! I read a comment in here about she says "go to the lab" when you need help. First of all, thats not true. She only says that if she is working in the lab which she has done in the past. Thank you Ms. S!

This was hard class to me but she was a really easy to get along teacher. her homework is a peice of cake her test are just about only 17 or 18 questions so if u miss one it hurts. doesn't care if u r absent too..

Amanda Saxman was an awesome teacher. Her homework is easy...if you choose to do it. She doesn't care if you're tardy...I was late almost everyday and she never said anything to me. If I enjoyed math I would've enjoyed this class more!

This Prof is awesome, she explains things clearly and you do NOT have a test every other day! She explains things so well, and she knows what shes talking about. Shes the sweetest and nicest person. However the only thing I dont like is the homework is online, but other then that shes great, and im taking her for another class!

She gives you a study guide before the tests so you know what to expect. ANd the final is based on all the tests that you did throughout that year. I just love her class taking it again

Ms. Saxman was awesome i am taking her class for fall 2005. She explains EVERYTHING! She gives you tests every other thursday and your homework is online and its due the friday after your test.So think about it you basically do math homework for one night how great is that! She breaks all the problems down so you understand them.

If you don't understand math and have to take this class, choose Saxman. She is great at explaining the concepts as well as taking time for you. I am so pleased to have her as my professor. I would take any class she teaches. It is well worth it!

I took her for Pre-Algebra and she was very helpful and sweet. Her explanations are clear and although she can go a little fast sometimes, all you need to do is slow her down a bit. She's a great teacher and very involved in her field. I am taking her again for Int. Algebra and am looking forward to it...she's awesome.

I had tap class with her and I thought she was a good teacher, however I found the class to be very easy. Great for beginners or someone who hasn't tapped since they were 3, but I don't recommend for anyone with a bit of experience. However she did try to accomodate with everyones levels but I still found it to be a bit boring. Easy A.

Ms. Saxman is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She goes over material fast but as long as you do the homework you'll be fine. I have a difficult time in math and I got an A in her class.. Tap!! I loved this class, never tap danced in my life and I made an A, and really feel like I learned a LOT. You MUST show up or you will fall behind! Sometimes went a little too fast, but if you are assertive with asking for help, she will give you the help you need. She works with your level. Totally worthwhile class! Little less "girl talk" tho.

She is a good teacher. The only thing is that she teaches too quick, jumps from one thing another so you have to study your textbook later on to really understand the material. But besides that she teaches fairly well.

Great teacher. Goes through required material in a timely manor and makes all requirements clear. Does not treat students like children, and does not like answering questions that were just asked a min ago. An overall stronger human being than most students are used to dealing with. Take her class only if you are serious about learning Algebra.

WELL HER TEACHING METHOD WAS NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY, HOWEVER SHE TEACHES VERY QUICKLY SO U REALLY HAVE TO STUDY AND DO YOUR H.W. DOSEN'T REALLY CARE ABOUT ATTENDANCE BUT MAKES HER TEST HARD WITH TOO MANY QUESTIONS AND YOUR HOMEWORK IS ONLINE BUT IMPERATIVE THAT YOU DO IT OR ELSE YOU MIGHT BE COMPLETELY LOST IN THIS CLASS.

Ms Saxman is a great teacher. Very helpful but she skips around too much especially when just giving notes. Like she'll jump from one side of the board to the other side and write something else then come back again and it might get a little confusing. You might end up reviewing your book a lot. Apart from that she's great and loves teaching.

She is a good teacher, however, you do go through the material very quickly. At times, you can cover three to four sections in a day, which can be difficult. She can be a bit brash and rude at times, but only if you ask a question she has already answered. She is very caring about her students and is always available for extra help.

AMAZING teacher. probably the best math teacher i've ever had. she is really funny which makes the class more fun. her teaching style is very step-by-step and makes sure you dont leave confused. the only thing is you MUST do your homework online and if you dont do it before the test day you will be lost. but she is awesome. take her!

She knows her stuff very well. Does her best to make you understand and gives partial credit for wrong answers on the test. The only bad thing about her is that she tends to be sarcastic. She tries not to but her facial expressions give her away.

Prof. Saxman is great. she explains, fast but she does a good job. you just need to be on top of the subject. answers your questions, but could be sarcastic with her answers. I dont have a great foundation in math I struggle in her class, I don't know if I'm going to pass.

Professor Saxman is an ok teacher. When she begins a section it's always confusing at first cause she doesnt introduce it she'll go right into an example. She uses the book a lot in class and it's helpful to have to look ahead. Overall she's pretty nice and easy going.

I love Amanda Saxman. She's the best math teacher I've had EVER. Math is my worst subject but she makes it work. She's a very visual person and really breaks things down for you. She repeats things too which is great. I love her so much that I build my schedule around her class. Take her for any math class.Communicate with her and you'll do well.

After reading some of the negative comments I really don't understand why anyone would complain, there is a lot of homework, but it's all on course compass, just like and other math class, she's very helpful, always asking if everyone gets it, if anyone needs her to explain more, and you don't necessarily have to go to class everyyyyday! :D

SHE IS VERY STRICT WITH DEADLINES AND IF YOU MISS A DAY OF THE TEST YOU DO NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO A MAKEUP TEST BUT YOUR FINAL EXAM CAN REPLACE YOUR LOWEST TEST GRADE.

She is a good teacher and she explains everything clearly. Her homework is not even required. It's just to help you but you don't ever turn it in. There are a lot of ways to get help if algebra is not your thing, and she is happy to help you personally or show you where to go. If you are not too lazy to try, you will pass this class.

Very good professor, really if you cannot take her course and get an A you really probably shouldn't be in college. One of the easier classes I've ever taken because of the teacher.

Great teacher. Has her for both intermediate algebra and college algebra i got an A in both. her class is very easy, dont be lazy. just pay attention, read your notes, and you will be fine. she tells u whats going to be on the test so just practice that.

I've read a few mixed reviews, and frankly, as a student who has test anxiety and who is not all that great at math, Professor Saxman helps me understand. She makes sure we all understand before moving forward and promotes the SPA because they can HELP! She is very concerned that her students do well-just communicate with her. She is awesome!!

Mrs. Saxman was really instrumental to my success in this class. I took this intensified class after being out of school for nearly 30 years and she made easy for me to pick right back up. She devotes a great bit of time before and after class to help her students understand. I hope she decides to teach higher math so that I can have her once again

As someone who had failed Int. Algebra the semester before, I was scared to take it again. I've never been good at math or have been a "math person". But in this class I stated understanding math concepts and problems I never understood. Prof Saxman is the best, she helped me through any question I didn't get. TAKE PROF SAXMAN!!

As someone who is terrible at math , I was worried when I took her combined math classes of intermediate and college algebra . She turned out to be a great professor ! As long as you study and pay attention her class with be easy . Would totally take her again . Homework isn't mandatory but it helps a lot !

This was my third attempt at this class, and loved every minute of it. Professor Saxman is a true teacher. there is no wasted time in this class. If you show up to class, and complete your assignment, you will pass this class with an A. It won,t get any better than this.

She provides you with a video every week and so many videos of problems being solved and explained that are super helpful. Webassign allows you endless tries on homework to get the answers correct and 10 attempts per question on tests. If you get As on all the homework and do decent on exams at the campus, you'll get an A. Super helpful!

I took Professor Saxman's online course and the content videos she posts are super helpful in the WebAssign work. I have had no issues with this professor and I feel I am ready to take on College Algebra! Highly recommend.

This professor gives you all of the tools you need to pass this class with an A. You need to be ready to put in the work though. She gives a ton of extra credit every week. I took her hybrid class and I am so glad that I chose her as my professor. She replies to e-mails fairly quick and is accessible outside of class.

I personally think she was an amazing math teacher she gives you all the materials you need to pass her class, she gives extra credit for the first two test and changes your lowest test score with your final exam grade. Her test are literally the chapter test reviews so there is no way for you to do bad.

Prof Saxman is the best and she is absolutely accessible at nearly all times for questions! The tests are a different format than homework/groundwork & it's definitely harder. She does hand grade them though. 3 Tests and they count for a good portion of the grade. All that said, I wish she was teaching higher math classes so I could take her again!

Not a bad class to take, there are about 2 group projects and exams to which you are required to show work for and if you dont, you receive no credit. Again its not a bad class, but if youre like me and hate math, Mathway will be your bestfriend because she gives a lot of math labs. Honestly if i attended her lectures i wouldve gotten a B

I really love Prof Saxman! She's sweet, helpful, and over all just a very good professor to have. There was quite a bit of work but it really helped me actually learn the material (coming from someone who has never ethically passed a math class). If you're a math super star maybe this would be over kill, but for anyone who struggles she is great!!

She's is super friendly, and down to earth. Knows algebra well and can explain well. Overall she is great.

She's a great communicator. If you have a question, you can ask and she'll get back to you quickly. Although there's a textbook for this class, it's free and she provides the link. The class is a lot of work, but it's not so bad if you get it done the day it's due or before. If you miss something, though, you'll fall behind.

She is a super sweet and passionate professor. Always helpful and understands how to explain things well when something is not clicking. Allows front and back sheet of paper of notes for tests, which is incredibly helpful if you use it right. She provides so many resources and is willing to provide anything you need. Makes math not so difficult :)

Very excellent professor, very involved and great group teaching style. My only complaint is the amount of homework work required each week, and if you miss a class it stings as attendance and participation are also a very large grade.

There is a lot of work but it isn't hard if you just put the effort in. There are 3 exams but there is extra credit on the first two and exams are no longer than 16-18 questions including the final. An exam is taken in 2 parts and you are also allowed to bring a hand written note sheet. Every class you will be working with others on a board its fun

I took this class online. Assignments were clear, and videos that she posted were great! When I emailed her for helped she responded quickly. She also lets you work as far ahead as you would like. I highly recommend this professor.

Took her in person and online again this class was clear about the work no buying a textbook, videos and many online resources provided you just have to go through the modules and do the work. There are 3 assignments due per week with a 2 day grace period where this is only a 10 point deduction. Professor is very sweet and always willing to help.

She wants you to succeed and understand.S he answers emails quickly. She allowed notes for exams, and provided helpful worksheets. Hard class, great professor.

Honestly if you take her class online automatic W. There is minor assignments due every 2-3 days but super quick and easy. Late work is accepted but you lose 10% per day. 2 quizzes a midterm and a final. No quiz has honorlock.

She's a really good teacher, always explained things if you needed help and responded to emails relatively quick. I'm actually taking another one of her classes next semester!

Very easy class, amazing teacher. She responds to her emails quickly and is very helpful and doesn't use honorlock. I took her in summer for half term and the work wasn't too much you just have to show your work for the midterm and final which is reasonable. 10/10 teacher i would take her again

Professor Saxman had a very good class structure, I took the class in a mixed mode so there was weekly assignments with the occasional bonus activity/quiz online. No honorlock. In class, it's very group work oriented so you get plenty of practice. Extra credit opportunities are clearly outlined at the beginning of the semester.
