Great teacher and really cares about you becoming a better writer and doesnt assign you to write essays because she has to. She helps you with each essay and will help you with anything outside of class. You definitely have to put in the work but she really cares about her students success.

She is a strict grader giving B's to good essays and A's to excellent writing but she really wants to help you do good in the class. Class average is a low A.

Good class, somewhat difficult if you're not used to writing a lot, but the lectures were good and the textbook is interesting. You do have to present a 5 minute presentation for the last day of class so be wary of that. Most of your grade will come from the major writing assignments, and not much emphasis is put on the final.

I absolutely recommend taking this class! Super helpful and caring and the lectures are very engaging. Class has a few major assignments that take a lot of work but it's all doable and no tests. One thing to look out for is the late work policy. Didn't know that early enough so my grade took some hits. But would definitely take this class again.
