I had her for MICRO. I don't know where she pulls her questions for the test from because it definitely isn't from the book or the PP in class that she teaches from. She doesn't teach anything she simply reads from the slide and expects you to understand it and be able to apply it on a test. GOOD LUCK!

Good luck on passing. She never teaches and only reads from the powerpoints that she makes. She never covers everything on test and often what she does talk is not on the test. Also don't worry about checking your email to see if class is cancelled. She never lets you know ahead of time.

This teacher does not explain anything. Nothing on the PowerPoints are on her test. She gives you the chance to print your PowerPoints, but not all of them. Her lectures are her simply reading directly from the PowerPoints, including the pages she doesn't allow you to print. Her online class is even harder. Do Not Take.

I'm currently taking Thompson for A&P. I've never hated a class more than this one. I'm doing okay in the class only because of the online assignments that are easy A's. Ive printed out her power points, bought the lecture notes, and studied really hard for her tests but I still do very poorly. You never really know what will be on the test.

Her test go "off of the lecture" notes is false. You study for two weeks and still make a D on a test. Know examples of everything she talks about.

Mrs Thompson is really nice! Her class is not bad when it comes to doing the connect learn smart, moodle quizzes, and class participation. The test are very hard! she says study the lecture notes and quizzes, but they dont really help.

I would not recommend this professor. I had her for A & P II Lab and for the first exam she changed over half of the information at the last minute, which caused 75% of the class to drop. You can study the chapters in the text book, take notes, read the lectures, and ask questions. Unfortunately, it will not make a difference with this professor

Dont take this Professor if you are looking for a good grade. She graded really hard. I was less than one point away from a C but she had no sympathy for me. She seems like she dont care if you pass or not. If you miss a class you will be way behind!

You will have lots of homework, she wont open the assignments until the day before, so you cant complete them early. Did not give good lectures and the test are very difficult. I would not recommend this professor.

If you have another professor that you can take for science, please consider it. Her lectures are poor, she jumps from one subject to the next, her quizzes/exams may or may not contain things that you discussed in class. A lot of people retake her course study consistently, turn in assessments on time, and meet with her regularly. Beware!

PLEASE choose another professor if you can. Especially, A & P I or A & P II. This professor is a bit on an ego trip at times and grading is not done fairly. She'll lecture one way and test another. If you have a strong science background you may do alright, but if not then please be prepared to possible retake the course.

I would NOT retake this professor's course if it was free and I was guaranteed an A. The exam questions at times have little do with the material in the lectures, homework, and chapter reading assignments. A word to the wise, some people teach for the love of it, while others teach because they can't do anything else.

If you have a choice do not take.

She was gone a whole week (2 lecture days), and she moved quizzes and homeworks but refused to move the test date and told use we were responsible for learning the material she didnt teach in class WHICH WAS TWO LONG CHAPTERS! The class average on the text was an 60%. Dont take her Unless your trying to tech yourself

I would recommend not taking this class with Thompson unless you HAVE to. Extremely hard

I would say participation matters but it only matters so you don't get dropped from the class. There is little point in going since all she does is read off of the powerpoints. But says Lecture notes are the Bible, and what the test is on?? But yet barely talked over lecture notes. She is NOT willing to help her students and be reasonable.

I would rather stick my head in a hornets nest than take another class with Thompson. Her lectures are very basic but her tests are way more in depth than her lectures. She is disrespectful towards students and actually yelled at students in class. She also had the heat on in the middle of summer, I almost had a heat stroke in class.

I dont have anything nice to say about her. Just dont take her. Ever.

do not take her if you don't have to. She is not a good professor at all. She does not care about what you make, she's just there to get paid. She does not lecture at all, but expects you to do the online work and come to class knowing what's going on. The homework we have is pointless. Study the lecture notes, but be ready to teach yourself.

Super hard class. I studied nonstop for tests and still failed them. She cancels class A LOT! She doesn't lecture, she just goes over most missed on Connect. I swear the test material will be mostly stuff you never learned. She also gives a lot of homework and packets to complete. Make sure you have index cards.

DONT TAKE HER even if she is your only option, either take the class at a CC or wait until a semester when another teacher is available. Straight As, but a D in this class while studying everyday. Teaches the opposite of the test questions so study what you never learned. Basically all online and class is used to go over connects that you dont need

this is for 1017. literally puts models on the tables for lab and just tells us to walk around and look for 2 hours. quiz every class, do not miss and pay attention to the slides on moodle because that is what you will be quizzed on. dont bother asking her a question because she will tell you ask 2 friends and if they dont know then you can ask her

Horrible Professor. Her class is so difficult its not even funny. Her test are on all of her notes that she gives you and the extra little assignments she does barely helps. You MUST show up to class if you want to pass. you also must keep a watch on your connect because she post your SB assignments and you don't even know it. Stay on top in class.

Teacher does not teach. Makes a bunch of videos and expects you to learn from them. She is there only for a paycheck. Would do just as good as youtubing the content and teach yourself.

Not much instruction or help. Unpredictable assignment schedules. GRADED PROCTORED PRACTICE TESTS WHY THAT DOES NOT HELP!!??? Would not take again under any circumstances. Non major gened courses should not be this demanding or confusing.

If you can avoid taking this class. She is not helpful at all and nothing she teaches is actually on the tests.

Not a good class. Do not take. She does not look over the quiz/test questions so there are question she never went over or are on the powerpoint. Everything is done on Mcgraw Hill. Test and quizes are proctered. Lectures are boring and you get nothing out of it. You can barely hearwhat she's saying. She rambles about stuff are not on the test.

I just feel like a non-Bio major, so much of my time and energy shouldn't be put into a course I don't plan on using for my future. Also I don't think she checks the questions for her tests because they're online and not always graded properly.

DO NOT take her class, especially for a core-curriculum.

When I tell you I absolutely hated this class and professor so much. She single-handedly made me switch out of the nursing program. She was super rude to anyone and everyone. I would rather rip out my eyeballs, eat them, poop them out, and then eat them again than take this class or professor one more time

I can not explain the amount of anger I have because of this woman. Her class is unnecessarily hard for non-biology majors. Most of us here taking her class just need the credit, we do not need to have unnecessarily hard exams for a class that is nothing to do with my major.

Do NOT trust any of those 5 or 4 star ratings she has got. That is most likely herself giving her a high rating. I can not explain the amount of frustration I feel when I studied hard for my final exam, just for majority of the questions not being related to what we went over. Majority of my class got a 65 on our Final and I think that says enough.

She doesn't care about the well being of her students. Not willing to help at all. She always says if you study you'll pass her tests but the tests always are 100 questions when you don't have enough to study for those tests.

Her mandatory lectures occasionally consist of time wasting worksheets or pop quizzes and always involve hard to follow, incohesive explanations of concepts from smart-books we often have 2 days to complete. She teaches from lecture slides that we have no access to and are prohibited to take pictures of. Her class is difficult and not well taught.
