i think she only teaches the labs, which isn't very important to know but it's good to know which teacher gives a easy A class in a easy A class. She's pretty clear on the lectures before lab and is not aloof when it comes to asking for help. I was late for class for 20minutes one day and she only took off a few pts off my workshop instead of 0.
She, without any exaggeration, is the best chemistry professor you can ever had. She is as clear and talented as Sal Khan from Khan Academy. Going to her lectures is not a waste of time. She does experiments in the class and will relate everything we have learned to real-world applications. She is funny, approachable and excellent. Excellent Class!
She is by far the best chemistry teacher. She's very nice and approachable. Just keep up in class and tests will be easy. She's a little hard to understand, but that's about the only negative thing about her!
She is THE best chemistry teacher ever! I've been to all the other chemistry teacher's lectures and none of them are as good of a professor as her! She makes chemistry so easy to understand and actually interesting! Don't take any other professor for chem except her!
Great chemistry teacher! Going to her class is really helpful - don't skip, it really is worth it. She is entertaining, funny and very sweet. Loved chemistry for the first time because of her class! Thank you prof sra!
Dr.Sra changed the way I looked at Chemistry. Her lectures are a true treat to attend. Most of all she is very approachable and extremely helpful outside the classroom as well. She goes above and beyond and does workshops for students on a regular basis. I definitely recommend her. I regret not taking her for Chem I.
Dr. Sra is an amazing professor. She cares about the success of her students. Chemistry was a difficult class, but she explained the material really well. Her accent was minor and didn't affect her ability to communicate the information. I loved her personality. She's really funny and witty. I definitely recommend studying and going to class.
Probably the best science professor I've ever had. I took Sibert initially but had to drop since I was doing terribly. Dr. Sra goes through every problem and explains the concepts easily. I was actually able to go back and solve Sibert exams without any trouble. She also holds workshops! The class is not easy, but she is always there to help
Had her for lab and her workshops were good reviews and she explains things thoroughly. Also heard she is an excellent lecturer and has good notes, which help to enforce concepts covered in tests. Seems intimidating at times, but really is just part of her character. She is friendly for the most part and funny too.
Sra was a great teacher! She was super helpful and held workshops that really helped me understand the class better. Chemistry is not an easy subject but she does her best to explain problems the best she can.
Chem 1 at UTD isn't that bad, just read outside of class before exams. Sra is cool and she does a lot of practice problems in class so just pay attention. She also does reviews before exams, so go to those if you need extra help. And her accent is pretty chill
Dr. Sra is a very nice professor and very helpful during labs. She has a bit of an accent but nothing to worry about.
She presents material out of order, this makes taking useful notes difficult. Slides uploaded online are not exact copies, this is an issue because she often goes through them too fast. She gives incorrect info on what the test will cover. She doesn't respond to emails. She uses new terms inconsistently, which can make them harder to grasp.
She is a great professor by far my favorite this semester. She also has a very sassy side to her which is quite amusing.
The class overall was good. It just the powerpoint notes online doesn't really match up with the powerpoint she uses in class. Do some in class experiments which are really cool.
Dr. Sra is usually a good lecturer, though she tends to spend too much time on easy example problems. She is sometimes very rude to people who try and leave lectures or show up late, and class frequently runs late. She sometimes gives insider info as to what will be on the exams, which is helpful. She has many technology problems that waste time.
Dr. Sra is a great professor, she is always there to help, and she held weekly optional workshops to go over homework and extra homework which was really helpful. The test was held on Tuesday nights and her workshop was also on tuesdays right before the exam which is an awesome way to get some last minute studying done.
I took Dr. Sra for Chem 2 lab, because she unfortunately didn't teach lec this semester, but she was just as helpful in lab and always open to answering questions about what we were doing. Great professor!!
Business major taking chem. why? i ask that even today
Sra wasn't even my professor but I talked to her more than I did my actuall professor. She's very nice and very helpful. I hear she gives homework, but she prepares you cery well for the class. She's also very funny. I love her
Dr. Sra is super nice and an outstanding lab professor. She is definitely a stickler in multiple areas (primarily lab behavior & tardiness), but makes up for it with her willingness to accommodate and help. Labs are fairly easy and if you read the lab, you should have no problems.
Dr. Sra moves WAY too fast and doesn't care if you can't catch up with her. She is very funny, but not the best professor. If you can't learn something within forty seconds, you're screwed. Also, her accent is difficult to understand during lecture.
Dr. Sra is an amazing professor and I would take her again. Yes, she does go fast in lectures, but if you are paying attention in class and keeping up with your reading outside of class it shouldn't be a problem. Also, she is ALWAYS there for her students!
Dr. Sra is a great professor. She really knows what she's talking about in the lectures and simply knows how to teach well. Tests were from the department but are not too tough. Still not an easy course, however. You'll need to study a lot if you want a good grade.
She was nice enough to only make us take 1 quiz & give us easy in-class assignments. She did a relatively good job explaining things, but the tests were tricky. If I had more time, I would have done better. Beware of mental errors. I didn't use the textbook very much, but it seemed to me that those who did, got better grades. Do your ALEKS online.
Fast pace class due to how much material there is to cover, but I really enjoyed her lecturers and felt she prepared us well for the exams. Not a class you can slack off in, but not terrible either
Dr. Sra is probably the first professor I had here at UTD who didn't make me feel like I'm losing my mind over stress. Here explanations were clear, the in class assignments fairly easy, she extends ALEKS if needed and has a review session a few hours before exams for last minute questions. The review is usually almost a replica of the test.
I had her for lecture and she was okay, but for lab she was great. She and her TA were very understanding and laid back. They don't yell at you for mistakes and they encourage you to learn. Explained labs well and did her best to ensure everyone learned and made a good grade. Take her for lab!
Dr. Sra is a great lecturer and very helpful towards students. If you put in your fair share of work and then some, she will help you succeed! Fair warning: I highly recommend SI, PLTL, and her weekly review sessions. Overall, this class is designed where the lectures are just not enough for you to succeed.
Dr. Sra is an incredible yet tough teacher. She recommends homework from the book-DO IT. It is SO USEFUL. She cares about students individually, is beyond intelligent, and is a great orator. Her class is never boring and she provides many options for extra help from office hours to online hours on the weekends. Hard course, amazing teacher.
Dr. Sra is amazing. She is funny and informative in lecture. Seems pretty no-nonsense but I mean this college, so it should be. DO THE PROBLEMS IN THE BACK OF THE CHAPTERS. Seriously. It's the best way to study the content for the exam. She does online office hours where she will answer pretty much anything you throw at her. My Fav. UTD Professor.
Really awesome professor. If you go to her lectures, get the review questions, and practice practice practice the back of the book problems, I don't think it should be a problem. Very kind, helpful, and relatable teacher. I'm really glad I had her. If I could, I would definitely take her again.
Dr. Sra is amazing! I was scared at first, but after a few labs, I realized what a gem she truly is. Show up to workshop and pay attention, and she will go over most of the workshop worksheet with you. She is really nice and hilarious too. I would love to have her for lab again or even for lecture.
Dr. Sra is an excellent lab instructor. She thoroughly covers material and calculations during her workshop, walks through the lab procedure before going into the lab, and models new techniques for students before having them use them. Her lab is organized and she takes safety seriously. She's also pretty funny. I definitely recommend her.
Good at explaining concepts and adds helpful real applications to lectures. She's very caring but proud of being rude. She's self-righteous and harsh when she feels disrespected e.g. when students leave early, affecting your grade. Don't take if you like to multitask in class.
She's an excellent professor, I learned chemistry thoroughly and in short amount of time. But, as a nonmajor, it wasn't pleasant dealing with her. I felt like I was back in high school because of how she treats her students.
You either love or hate Dr. Sra. I find her to be very genuine and wants students to succeed and will do anything in her power to help you. She can be harsh, especially if you're slacking off or on your phone. Calls people out in class which can be quite uncomfortable. However, she is an amazing chemistry professor and I learned so much from her.
Hated the online program ALEKS, but it's required; very tedious and didn't benefit me whatsoever. The exams she makes herself are very difficult, so I wouldn't recommend taking her on an off-semester (taking gen. chem. 2 in fall). I did terrible on her exams but got an A+ on the final which was made by the dept. Lectures felt heavy and rushed.
Great professor, funny and energetic makes hard material a little easier to understand
Good professor overall. Exams aren't too difficult if you pay attention in class, do the review sheet, and do the practice exam. ALEKS sucks though, very tedious, but that's in all Chem classes at UTD, so I guess can't fault her with that. She'll do in class assignments (completion) on days she knows people will skip, so make sure to show up.
I absolutely adore Dr. Sra. I took her for gen chem 1 in the spring and this summer she was the instructor for the gen chem 2 lab. She's an amazing professor in general but especially in lab, she's outstanding. She's so down to earth and funny and makes chemistry fun, and not as difficult as it can seem. TAKE HER SHE'S A GEM.
Dr. Sra is an excellent professor who does a great job teaching students. She can be a little rude sometimes but as long as you pay attention, take notes and do homework, this class should be a breeze. She is always willing to explain things more into detail if you ask her and she always helps outside of class as well.
Honestly if you want to do well in this class attend everything that she has to offer. For us, every Friday after class she would have a workshop in which she would further elaborate on what we learned in class. Also, prior to every exam she would host a review (very helpful and sometimes had questions from tests) and go over previous tests. Easy A
Dr. Sra is truly an amazing professor. She is very caring and she is always ready to help her students even if the office hour conflicts with your class schedule. If she would teach O'Chem, I would have definitely taken her again. I recommend her to anyone. She will give you enough resources to help you do well. It's up to you to use them wisely.
Dr. Sra is a very caring professor! Her exams are somewhat are based from the slides, but can still be tricky and hard. There are pop quizzes during class, and she's very serious when it comes to teaching. Going to her office hour will help and she is very understanding when it comes to students' struggle in the class
Dr. Sra is so caring! She always tries her best to help students do well on their exams. If I remember she was once at library test review with 30 students to help answering their questions the day before the exam! Seriously the best professor in the gen chem department!
After taking Dr. Sra's class, I'm happy to say that I got not only an A+, but a newfound love and appreciation for Chemistry. Dr. Sra is a wonderful professor who makes herself readily available as a resource for her students. Go to class *and* the optional workshop! If you put in your very best effort, you will succeed in this course.
Don't just go to class, go prepared. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't go you will not do so well. The tests are a 7/10 in terms of difficulty and there is a tiny curve. She is a caring professor and wants you to succeed but you must earn it. Go to her office hours if you're confused about anything. Repetition is key in this class.
Dr. Sra is one of my favorite professors. She is very caring, helpful, knowledgable, and all her tests are based on what she talked about in class-- not the book. If you want to do well, go to class and ask her questions if you need to. She has office hours all the time and on Sunday's she has online office hours which is so helpful.
I love Dr. Sra. She's funny, entertaining to listen to, and caring. She clearly explains the concepts and often clarifies difficult things. She sometimes gives surprise in class assignments on low attendance days so show up! She has practice examples in class, holds reviews, and posts old exams so use those to prepare for each test.
Wonderful professor! The class itself because its chemistry is difficult to comprehend, however, she really helps students understand the subject and is good at explaining things. She can be a little condescending when answering questions, but oh well. She is still a wonderful person and professor.
I had Dr. Sra for General Chemistry II and Quantitative Chemistry and she is such a good professor! She always explains concepts and calculations if students are confused and is willing to meet students outside of class. I highly recommend taking her.
Professor Sra is one of the best professors that I have taken. She clearly explains the material and is lenient on the completion of Aleks. There are 4 tests and one final which are fairly doable. Study outside of class too and do practice problems because it will help.
Sra is an absolute sweetheart! Attendance is for a grade, but not mandatory. However, I recommend going to class because she goes over examples that usually show up on her exams. Her weekly workshops are the key to success. You can tell she truly enjoys teaching chemistry and she's easy to talk to outside of class. Take her for chem!!!
Dr. Sra wants you to do well in her class. You are provided with all the material at the beginning of the class. She is very easy to talk to. The only way that you could fail this class is if you do not try.
Professor Amandeep is a fairly good professor, however, the class itself is a little difficult. It's participation heavy, as well as homework heavy. Homework is done through ALEKS, which if you don't have the time for, it's a struggle to finish. Her tests aren't necessarily difficult if you put in the work, and she holds plenty of workshops.
This professor is a solid choice. It is pretty straightforward if you show up to class and pay attention to lecture (and are also present for in-class assignments) then you will get a good grade. She covers the material in depth and answers questions well. The tests are pretty heavy and test mainly your math ability related to chemistry.
I will be honest, this class was difficult. It requires a lot of time and dedication. Dr. Sra is phenomenal. She truly cares about your success in the course. She holds weekly workshops, not many professors take time out of their schedule to do that. She is always available outside of class during office hours or by email (quick to respond).
The online homework(ALEKS) suckssss. It's not necessarily terrible if you have time to burn, but if you don't have time and you're always in a rush it's frustrated. Do good on the pre-test for ALEKS so you don't have to do as much of it. Dr. Sra is a GREAT professor though, but you do need to study for the course. Take all the practice exams!!!!!!!
Very solid lecturer. Posts previous years Exams to give you plenty of practice. Grades fairly. Do ALEKS, show up to lectures, and actually pay attention, and its an easy A.
Sra is the best. Shes structured the class super well, is really accessible outside of class, lectures well, and has a great sense of humor to boot. 10/10 we stan a queen of chemistry.
Dr. Sra was the best General Chem Professor I had taken, from the beginning she set up the class to receive an A. She provides different practice papers and is available 24/7 if you have questions. She did weekly review sessions on Fridays with different practice questions and rented out the Math Lab hours before the exams, to answer questions.
It looks like most of the other reviews on here are misleading so let me lay it down how it really is. The professor is nice and can be funny, but the material covered is crap and she tests you on different problems than what are covered in lecture. The stuff is hard as it is, why be rude and change thing to make our lives miserable! She is no good
Dr. Sra is actually a likeable professor. I would say that she doesn't know how to teach though. The exams are not like the lectures. We just took an exam and it was bad which made me come here to see her rating and I need to inform others so they know what they get intoo.
Dr. Sra is a wonderful professor. She tries her absolute hardest to be available at all times to make sure we get the review we need before an exam. On testing days, she basically reserves her whole day to answer any questions you have but you do have to study and work at it to get the grade you want.
Dr. Sra is an entertaining professor given the course she led. Though the classes were very note-heavy and seemed rushed, I think this was a consequence of the 50-minute length of the class. Dr. Sra explains topics in a conceptual way and works with students to ensure they understand the material. Do be warned that she does random in-class quizzes
Dr. Sra is one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures are clear, she's available for office hours, and she provides many resources for her students to do well. Gen Chem 2 is not an easy class at first, but if you ask her questions, review the tests, and do the practice exams she posts, you should do fine. I'd definitely recommend her.
Definitely one of the best professors you'll ever see. Her lectures are very interesting. Always try her best to help her students. Past exams on very helpful when it comes to the actual exams. I've never done the chapter HWs (optional) but I do think those past exams that she gave will be enough for you to get prepared for the actual exams.
I took Dr. Sra for Gen Chem II and she is by far one of the most caring professors at UTD. She always held weekly workshops and a review before tests; she takes the time to answer every student's questions. Definitely take her!
Amazing lecturer. Explains every concept in great detail - her teaching style makes even the most complex topics very simple to understand and apply. Her exams are quite tough and they really test your understanding, however, I think it's a worthy sacrifice for taking this professor. Very friendly/funny and is very accommodating. Highly recommend.
Dr. Sra is not bad. She does care for her students and the material is okay. I can imagine this is a tough subject to teach, but the exams can be a bit scattered. If I had to take again, I would risk it and take a different professor who would probably be a bit easier. Overall, not bad, caring, if you have not other choice you be okay.
Wouldnt take any other chem professor. Dr Sra explains the material extremely well and posts material in advance. I enjoyed this class a lot
She does a great job teaching, and does not mind answering questions. She genuinely seems to care if we understand and learn the material. She responses to emails timely and is reasonably flexible when you are having difficulty with an assignment. I did attend most classes synchronously. There is value in attending her exam reviews.
I have taken both CHEM 1311 & 1312 previously with different professors, and did badly in both. I retook both classes with Dr. Sra and it was a completely different experience. She teaches the material very clearly and wants her students to succeed. If you have the choice, definitely choose Sra over any other professor.
General chemistry is already a tough course but Dr. Sra makes it so much easier. Her teaching style is clear and concise and she does not make you feel bad about asking questions. She is very friendly and creates a great learning environment. She holds multiple teaching awards and it is easy to see why. She cares about the success of her students.
Tests are extremely hard; however, Dr. Sra makes herself available to help you whenever you need it. She will go over exams or work out practice problems. She does workshops and test reviews as well. She spends a lot of time helping students succeed. If you just do Aleks you will not pass.
Professor Sra was amazing! Probably one of the best online classes I have had. The class was not easy, but it was the material, not the teaching. In order to do well in the class, make sure to participate and pay attention. There are so many opportunities for practice, utilize every opportunity she gives you and you should be fine!
Dr. Sra was very friendly and understanding. The pre-lab lectures were informative without being boring. She was very understanding, and was willing to allow labs missed due to extenuating circumstances to be made up online.
Dr. Sra is a very reasonable prof and even let us decide when assignments would be due based on what worked best for the class. Almost all exams were open book & online, she gave lots of practice problems too. Her lectures were recorded due to covid and can be long, but they're interesting if you have time. Def take her for quant if you can!
Tough subject, only an okay instructor. Don't let these weirdly good reviews on here fool you. You will not have a good time in this class and I wish I would hvae taken this at community because of all the hours spent for a poor education. Might as well spend less money at community for the quality of learning your getting anyways.
Professor Sra teaching Chemistry had some hilarious moments, but her lecture is always the greatest when learning something new. She takes time going over how to do the work, most of the homework is on Aleks, and me taking two years of Chemistry in high school, this class gives me a bit of a refresher of what each topic is. Just don't fall asleep.
Attend her workshops! They are usually very similar to the actual exams and help alot in general!
She was a solid teacher but she completed skipped over the whole first unit and assumed we all had perfect memory from high school chemistry and was able to do everything. Also if you take her in the spring she assumes you already took it in the fall so she will still skip chapter 1 and expect you to already know everything.
She is an amazing teacher and wants to see all of her students succeed. The only issue I have are her exams. Her exams are all free response with 0 partial credit. I felt that she taught the information very well and allowed me to feel very prepared, but it was hard to demonstrate my level of understanding due to how poorly her exams were formatted
The material is difficult so it's hard to teach it in a simple way that is understandable. However, the professor did not teach it in a understandable way. The exam were online which made some of the answers hard because of the different way to applying the answer onto a digital box. The professor does not make the material easier.
Dr.Sra really is a great professor. While the material can certainly be challenging at times she give you plenty of reviews to ensure you understand the material. She also offers workshops after class to explain the problems worked during lecture.
Prof. Sra is good and informative with a good sense of humor, but her exams can be very difficult. They are short, but they don't provide a lot of given resources for you to work with to solve for what is asked.
She is definitely passionate about chemistry which makes her good at explaining concepts. The HW can sometimes be a lot (and usually takes a couple hours), but you have a week to complete it. It is also great practice as the exams are similar to the HW problems. She also has workshops if you need more help. I definitely recommend taking her.
Dr. Sra is amazing when it comes to lectures, but her exams are very heavy. Most of them are majority free response, so no room for error. Also, she just changed the way she takes attendance (supposed to be online and available for 24 hrs) to now in person and on paper, so go to class!! there are around 14 hw and modules on ALEKS - hard, but doable
Dr. Sra's exams are horrible. Very intense and almost completely free-response. She randomly changed her attendance policies mid sem. If you have any circumstances that aren't life-threatening, she does not care to help. Lecture wise she did explain things decently, but I did not feel comfortable asking questions in class or office hours.
Can be condescending, but she does more than enough to provide you with the resources needed to do well. Exams are stressful, hardly multiple choice. Is willing to give extensions and is lenient with curving on exams. Posts recorded lectures and workshops which was huge for me. Workshop is key for exams. Math heavy class. Aleks is still a thing.
Must come in person.Records the lectures on TEAMS but gets mad when people join it &is muted half the time.Attendance is usually an online assignment but randomly makes it a physical paper so come in-person.Will stop the class&call you out if ur late.Good lectures, hw is long but doable.Helpful workshops after class. Can be lenient, lots of resources
she is quite nice(mostly) and tries to keep her lectures interesting with jokes and other stuff. has frequent workshops and office hours, and will give you extensions on homeworks if you ask. she does get quite behind on the material, however, causing you to have homeworks due over material you havent learned. but overall a good professor.
Dr Sra gives excellent lectures and presentations on the concepts taught in class. She is caring, has a fantastic sense of humor, and makes the class enjoyable. The ALEKS can be tedious, but she also gives extensions. Dr Sra also has many valuable resources that help students be successful in class. Overall, I highly recommend this professor!
Dr Sra is an amazing very helpful professor. I highly recommend her. She gives amazing lectures with occasional instances of humor. She is very accessible outside of class. Mind you Aleks can be tedious, though she gives extensions as long as you attend class. She also gives a lot of helpful resources. Use these resources if you want an A in Chem.
I absolutely adore Dr. Sra. She's so easy to talk to and she explains the assignments and grading so well. There's absolutely no confusion about the class expectations. Her lectures never felt 75 minutes long because she's so engaging and really funny. I'm so glad I took her for quant.
She doesn't really know how explain the material in a way thats comprehensable. Not only was I not going to have a 70, but both of my lab parterns weren't either. We took her course off season in the fall and I wouldn't recommend.
EXTREMELY DIFFICULT CLASS! If you can take this course with a different professor please do it. Extremely convoluted lectures with equally as difficult to understand exams. Exams are majority FRQ, and nothing like any material she provides so you go into them blind. Already a difficult class and she prides herself on making it more difficult.
She gives a lot of work, but that is to only ensure u get good practice and pass. While her exams are mostly FRQ, I would recommend taking this professor over the others because she is accessible outside of class, gives plenty of resources for success, gives extra credit, no final exam, replaces lowest exam grade, and no ALEKS modules other than HW
Dr. Sra is a great professor - her lectures are engaging, and she provides lots of helpful resources like workshops to prepare for exams. The material can be challenging, but using tools like Unstuck study alongside the course materials can really make a difference.
This was truly a frustrating experience. The lectures were unclear and there was no genuine effort to engage students. This class was unnecessarily difficult not because of the subject, but because of poor instruction. I would not recommend this professor.
Tests felt random, with MCQs vs. FRQs. Exams were online with no partial credit, so if you got mostly FRQs, good luck. She offered ways to boost your grade, but tests hurt. The average was 50%, and she said I should be proud of a 70. Extra credit helps, but you must attend in-class assignments and ace take-home quizzes.wait for on semester if u can
I found her teaching style hard to connect with and the exam prep unclear. The study reviews didn't reflect the exams, but the ICAs matched closely—something I only realized after poor early results. I can't personally recommend her, though I know some students did enjoy her approach.
I feel like this professor is a little underrated i really enjoyed her lectures and she was a really good teacher. Her grading is lenient and at the end she gives extra credit.
Amazing chemistry professor, easy to get an A as long as you go over her workshops
She is an amazing professor. Her exams are at the testing center, and not bad at all. Her workshops are the most helpful tool. She has two extra credit opportunities for a 5% grade. Always answers emails super quickly, even on the weekends. No cumulative final either. Would recommend her!
I pass streets without looking because of this class.
Theres a lot of differing opinions here. This course isn't too hard if you practice well. I was worried at first since she told me to do every textbook problem to pass. You don't. Focus on ICAs, workshops, and review material, as exams are very similar. Skip lectures if you want; practice problems and understand graphs to do well. Fair class.
Dudes, when I tell you I love being in Dr.Sra's class, I LOVE being in her class. The rating are diverse because people are confusing the class with the prof. The class is difficult for sure but Dr.Sra makes it 1000% more bearable, her effort and want for her students to succeed is immeasurable which makes her one of the best professors at UTD.
I wouldn't recommend her class. She moves too fast and is hard to follow. When students ask questions, she responds in a way that feels condescending, like we should already know the answers. Because of that, no one wants to ask questions, and overall the class is just difficult.
had her for lab and she may come off rude or harsh but honestly she's a great teacher and learned a lot from her workshops before lab. always demonstrated hard concepts like titrations in class and made sure her students did well. she was super funny and fun to be around so don't be afraid to take her.
No matter who you take this class is going to have a lot of content and require studying. She provides a lot of resources outside of class and if u do all the review material she gives for exams, you'll be prepared.
Dr. Sra comes off as a little toughie, but I think she's tired of students who don't care or try. Go to class and do the workshops and you'll be more than prepared for the exams. If you just do the homework and re-read notes, you'll fail the exams; invest time in the workshops and if you can't make it, watch the recordings.
Great professor! Very inspirational and friendly. Easy to reach, and lenient on grading. Tech savvy too!
Absolutely the BEST professor out there! Would 100% take her again. She cares deeply about her students. I had her for gen chem I and II. Always flexible and understanding. Content is difficult but the professor is amazing!
Dr.Sra made chemistry a survivable class! Her tests are extremely hard and mainly free answer but her grading is generous. She breaks the tests into individual grades which helps with the damage. She also offers multiple extra credit opportunities.I failed 3/4 tests and still made a B+ in her course.
Dr. Sra quite literally saved me from failing. She has great study resources (workshops) and recorded lectures. She's super super easy to reach and quick to respond to emails. Enjoyed her as a professor and grateful that she dropped some grades at the end of the sem. Would def choose her out of the gen chem profs, up there with Huang.
Dr. Sra is generally very flexible and a generous grader. Despite her exams being so difficult, they're also designed as partial credit and very doable if you use most of the material that she provides. She curves, drops scores, and provides extra credit to improve your final grade! My best exam score was a 65 and i passed with a B-.
Dr. Sra is an amazing professor! Her lectures are engaging and you can tell she's passionate about the course material. She is also very generous when it comes to giving extra credit, curving, and dropping at the end of the semester. She is also very accessible outside of class and answers her emails very quickly. Overall 10/10 would take again!
Professor Sra is an okay instructor lecture-wise because she tends to overexplain easy topics and rush through more complicated ones, but she records all the lectures and workshops. She has plenty of resources that allow students to do well, and I would focus on the ICAs, workshops, and lecture notes as that is what shows up on the exams.
Dr. Sra is a good professor. She cares about students passing and having good grades because she knows there's a lot of pre meds in her class. She gives 5 points of extra credit at the end of the semester and curves quite heavily. Just make sure you par attention or you may get called out in class.
genuinely the best professor I have ever had. she cares so much about our mental well-being, along with understanding the material. HW heavy and attendance heavy, but even that is flexible. it's so on you if you dont do hw or extra credit because she gives so much flexibility. the only prof i enjoyed going to class for.
