Business Statistics is not easy. But if you do all the homework and attend his classes you will be able to understand the subject and do well at the exams. His powerpoint slides are very helpful.

Great Teacher. I took this class over the summer which was the worst!! We rushed through all the chapters in 8 weeks. Amar was very helpful. He made sure that we understood the concepts and formulas prior to each exams. His practice test are very helpful also his power point slides. Unlike Basil Chelemes, Amar explains & teaches in a way so that you'll understand, even if Stats isn't your thing. Explains carefully. Doesn't shove down your throat. Utilizes OL learning which is a big help. Has an excellent PowerPoint in class website. You'll motivated to put in an effort & be rewarded with a B+ or A!

Really surprised by the bad reviews. This is a tough subject, you have to put in the time, but Amar gives you every oppurtunity and resource to succeed. You probably don't need to buy the text book, the power points are super helpful and gives you all the info you need. At times there is a lot of work, but trust me, it is worth it come test day.

I had taken the business stats from 2 other professors at SLCC and they SUCKED!!! I finally took it from Prof Sahay and finally the light turned on. Yes he has an accent but if you pay attention that shouldn't be a problem. By the 2 stats class i was getting A+ on my test's and final. The best Stats teacher i have met.

The guy is a genius. Considering how difficult the subject matter is, he breaks it down to the basic principles and helps you build the necessary understanding required to pass the course - anyone who complains about him didn't study, go to class, or understand basic algebra. He won't hold your hand - why should he? Be responsible, you'll pass.

Amar's class is hard, but he is a phenomenal professor for the subject. He gives plenty of resources but you do need to study hard. He is willing to help if you ask for it but make sure you are there every single day and focused. With this being such a hard class I am happy I got him as my professor.

This class is a little hard but nothing unmanageable, Amar is a really awesome teacher who actually wants to help you any chance he gets,( if you can get away with it take pictures of the 10-20 pages he uses for excel homework and dont buy the book.) I would definitely suggest taking this course from Amar. We were able to take home 3 tests and that made it easy. He gives you all the formulas you need for the tests you do in class which makes it super easy. The final is just a chapter final so nothing too bad. I recommend taking this class from him!

Amar Sahay did a wonderful job teaching. I was skeptical due to it being a 50 minute class twice a week however as long as you review his PowerPoints and come prepared to class you'll get an A. You can't expect to cheat your way through class and pass. He gives you a practice test before the test and if you understand those you won't have issue.

Amar Sahay is one of the best professors that I've had at SLCC. Great in class examples. He's not one of those professors that tries to trick their students by putting in similar answers on quizzes/tests. He wants his students to do the work and succeed. Quizzes, tests, and step by step computer assignments. Very forgiving. I learned a lot.

The course covers a lot of material, concepts, formulas so it is hard but what makes it a good learning experience is all the work that Professor Sahay assigns because the more you practice the better you'll understand the material. Professor Sahay shows an interest in everyone's success so he is always open to questions in and outside class.

Yes, it was not an easy class, and I learned more from the book and materials from canvas, but still, he is a decent instructor if you can understand him during the course. I would recommend studying chapters before you go to the class so that you do understand what's going on. As time goes, tests will get harder.
