Dr. Guardiola was an awful professor. She seemed super helpful in class if you asked a question but she was very rude. When emailed for help, she said that she was an advisor as well and had no time to help her students, to ask a TA. She taught the basics but never gave in depth explanations for tests, notes were useless. I self taught for exams

She doesn't know how to teach. You basically have to google everything & figure it out for yourself. I was the type of kid that could sit in class & just absorb information & didn't have to study. She can't teach material in a good manner for anyone to learn and she tries to cram a lot of material in a 50 minute lecture. Take Young or Navaratnam.

Guardiola is overall a phenomenal person. She is very easy to listen to because she is very lively and energetic towards the subject, which is nice because the class is lecture heavy. On the other hand, she is often vague and does not clarify things as they should be. She often contradicts herself and her quizzes/exams ask for applied knowledge.

She's a lively and energetic person which makes it easy to stay focused in class. Unfortunately she can be vague during lecture's and this can lead to confusion on specific and important topics. I have unfortunately taken Professor Guardiola for both of my freshman semesters. I had taken AP Bio in high school so the first semester was old knowledge. This however let me see how the way she presented information was awful. Analogies that made no sense, numerous mistakes on quizzes, lectures, and even tests that she (we) noticed and fixed.

She's a good person, but in her class, you are essentially teaching yourself AP bio.
