Took her for Intermediate Algebra. Amber does a great job of explaining each step of every problem. She never skips steps while working on the white board. Her tests are fair and represent the covered material without trying to trick you. One test was a bit too long for the 1 hr limit, she agreed and made fair allowances. Lots Ex. Credit(for math)

Amber is extremely helpful and goes out of her way to help you understand. She is friendly and easy to talk to. She makes it easy to ask questions and does not put you down if you do. I would reccomend Amber to anyone taking a math class. She is excellent.

She's such a nice lady! As long as you go to every class, like you should anyway, the material is easy to follow. The hybrid class is so awesome becuase you can keep increasing your score and homework isnt due until the end of the class. She's really helpful

I personally did not like Mrs. Holtz, she was really annoying to me, however this class is very easy. I was bored because I has already learned everything in that class before, but she would be a great teacher for someone who has a hard time in math. She will answer any questions you have very thoroughly.

I had DESPISED math before I lucked into Amber's class. This woman knows how to teach. She's focused, articulate, and doesn't bog the class down with irrelevant material. I was unable to fit her into my schedule this semester and after 1 day of classes I already know it was a mistake.

I am horrible at math always have been, like panic attack bad. I started out in pre algebra. So when I finally made it to college algebra I made sure to look up a good teacher. Holtz is amazing her teaching is super clear and she doesn't move too fast through the subjects. She gives you options every class to ask questions over the homework. Great!

I really enjoyed taking from Mrs. Holtz. I am not a math person, but she made Algebra very accessible for people like me. She definitely wasn't an "easy" A, but if you participated, made good grades on quizzes, and made sure to keep up with the homework, you will do really well in this class! She was awesome.

Mrs. Holtz taught one of my favorite classes. In High School Algebra sucked, but she made it easy. She taught us every minute of every class, there was no going home early. She also likes early morning classes. As long as you go to class and keep up with the homework it should be an easyish A. That's what I had. Tests were moderately hard.

She's awesome for college algebra. she does have a lot of hw assignments. there is pop quizzes and you need to be there. Sometimes there is something new and you have no idea how to do it other than view examples. would take again.

Mrs. Holtz explains things so clearly. Take notes and do the homework. Even if you aren't a Math person, you can make a great grade. She gives help and answers questions. Very much available to the students. Would definitely take again! Only 4 tests. They aren't super long (she makes them herself!) Definitely take her!

She's an phenomenal teacher. I'm a student that needs mathematical things explain 3 different ways. Luckily, she can explain math 5 different ways. Her teaching skills are very compatible with my learning skills. Also, we used MyMathLab and that really helped me too. MML is picky and annoying but ultimately it helped me. She's great. Take her!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking Mrs. Holtz for Finite in a 5-week Summer Course. As someone who struggled in my first attempt at Finite with another professor, that says a lot. Her class is not homework heavy, she is available to ask questions, her tests are not overwhelming, and if you do the home reviews, you will pass with flying colors.

AMAZING!! If you show up to class & show her you care about your grade she is more than willing to bend over backwards for you. She replaces your lowest test grade, gives bonus for review completion, & takes out two quiz grades. If you're stuck on a HW/quiz problem she allows you to text her and she will happily help. This professor is really great. I have failed college algebra 4 times before her class. Homework is not bad at all. We do everything in my math lab and tests are taken in my math lab too. This system worked great for me. Her tests are really easy. All the questions on the test are just like the ones on the review, and in the same order Too!Musttake

Mrs. Holtz makes math class fly by. Her lectures walk you through every step and welcomes any questions you might have. Her tests are short and she will replace your lowest test grade with your final. She loves her job and it shows. I had her for College Algebra and I will take her for any future math classes that I can!

took 8 week course online. seemed like quite a bit of homework but it was just because it was such a short frame of time. gives extra points on tests so if you put the correct formula and do all the work but somehow end up with the wrong answer she still gives you plenty of points. She communicates well and reminds you whats due. Extra cred 2

I failed my first attempt at College Algebra due to an awful teacher. Then I took it with Amber and I easily passed. Hands down an amazing teacher. Do the homework if you want or just nail down the exam review material. Easy class.

I thought I would be fail college algebra, yes the material is hard and you have to work for it. But she explains everything so well and if you get a 80 or better on a test review she'll use those bonus points at the end of the semester if you need them, she drops your worst quizzes and replaces your worst test grade with your final

I had taken college algebra multiple times and decided (why, I don't know) to take an online, 8 week course. Professor Holtz was easy to communicate with, gave good feed back and over all wants you to pass. She awards partical credit on exams which helps so much as well as drops two quizzes. Overall I really like her and I PASSED!

After attempting finite two other times I took Mrs. Holtz and I finally understood what was going on. She is a great teacher, will take questions as she teaches. You will take notes every day but that wasn't a big deal to me. We switched to online mid-semester because of COVID and she still went above and beyond for her students.

She is a really good teacher honestly, but if math is something you struggle in do not take it online. I wish I had waited until quartine was over to do a math class. She is probably amazing for some students, but it was just really hard for me. There are 4 tests. Good test reviews. She takes away 3 quiz grades. I would take her again in person.

Shes a good teacher, but she just writes really fast to keep up (she slowed down when the class asked her too). Theres quizzes with about 7-10 questions and she lets us retake it up to 5 times.

I can honestly say professor Holtz is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. The way that she lectures and explains things is so clear and easy to understand that she made Finite Math tolerable. I chose 3 for the level of difficulty only because of the class content. If it wasn't for her it would've been much more difficult.

Professor Holtz is by far one of the best Algebra I teachers I have ever had. She has made things that I have struggled with so much easier to grasp and understand. Her Algebra class was pretty easy. Best part is if you missed a class she would record all her lectures and post them to canvas the next day, so you could view them. She was awesome!

Professor Holtz is a super sweet woman but a super tough teacher. She will not budge on her deadlines and dont even think about asking to make up a quiz. She goes through lectures pretty fast. Shes super helpful, has a bit of time after class to help. Few extra credit opportunities. Never miss a class or youll fall behind an ungodly amount.

I LOVE Professor Holtz. I'm lucky that I got to take her for college algebra and finite math. Some students say lectures get boring/she can sound condescending but I only had good experiences with her. The class was hard at times, even as someone who loves math, but I found this course to be very rewarding. Just do the homework don't procrastinate

I loved this class! It was easy to follow along, as many attempts as needed for homework, and tests were based on the homework. If you do the assignments you will get an A on the exams.

Professor Holtz is an Incredible teacher that I would 100% take again. She gives out bonus points on tests and test reviews. She teaches the content very well and explains everything if you do not understand. Professor Holtz is a fun professor who will joke around with us in class. Also, learn what "Cardinality" means and how to draw a sailboat!

I loved this professor, I struggled a ton with the tests, but if you manage your time well you'll do fine. If you struggle with math as I do, you should set aside an hour a day or a few hours every day. Don't fall behind and you'll do well. She's very knowledgeable on the topic. If you're wondering if you should take her, I would 100%

It's a lot of hw and a lot of quizzes(online) but as long as you do both and understand the material, you'll do great on the tests. You need to show up, participate, and do the hw and you'll do fine.
