I had her for a summer class. Easy, helpful, and nice.

She is great!!

This teacher is one of the best I have ever had. Will break it down so simple there is not many questions needed. Great with going over homework and test. Whatever she give you for a pre-test you will have those type of problems on the test. Excellent would take her for all my math classes. Words could not say how good this teacher really is.

This teacher loves math and teaching. I am mathmatically challenged and she was able to explain the concept well enough for me to keep up. She gives alot of homework but allows you to redo your missed problems for full credit. Her test are not easy but you should be able to pass them. I hightly recommend her for any math class. Nice and helpful

Best math teacher I have ever had, She makes sure you understand things and explains things so you will understand it. She wants you to do well. She does give homework every class and you do have a homework quiz the next class, but she will work any problem out from your homework that you didnt understand. I strongly recommend her.

I have taken her for a couple classes and she is by far the best Math teacher at Kingwood. She explains things in ways that are easy to understand and truly wants you to succeed. I strongly recommend her for any level Math.

I had previously taken this class and failed, but she explained things in a manner that was easy to understand. She also never made you feel stupid for asking a question as some profs may do. If you are mathematically challeged like myself then I highly recommend her. I would definitely take another one of her classes.

AWESOME teacher! i hate math, and i dreaded having to take college algebra but she explains things in a very simple way that doesn't make you feel dumb. you have a quiz each class, but it's over the homework and you get to use it. she will help you as much as possible if you ask. highly recommended, especially if math is not your best subject.

She is a good teacher, however she does not give multiple choice, you have to write out all the prbs. If you are a math dummies, and like multipe choice dont take her. I was told some teachers let you have a cheat sheet for math, she doesn't

Professor Mestayer was great! All her notes were online so when i missed class i just looked at the notes. She gave us very comprehensive reviews for the exams. for the quizzes, just take notes and youre set. homework was not required, but if you do it you will have no problem passing. she gives a few opportunities for extra credit as well

I absolutely hate math and when it's explained to me, I feel angry and frustrated. This teacher was able to explain everything in such a way I could understand everything! The only reason I made a B and not an A+ was because I'm a slacker and didn't show up to class all the time. She's great. Take her!

Took her for Elem. of Calc in summer- EASY CLASS! Great teaching style (goes over examples that reflect hw and tests) and posts online. 4 exams (test reviews are reflection), quiz every day over night's hw (very simple), and a final. She is a very clear teacher, young, and very kind. Got an A.

Prof. Mestayer is an amazing and gifted teacher. She has a great talent for simplifying math on every level. Very organized, very professional, cares about her students, and posts grades incredibly fast. She even gives you your current average when she returns your graded tests. Awesome educator!

Great teacher and very organized. Took for a summer course,so everyday was something new. If you were absent she posted all class notes online grades and posted all quiz and test grades within 2 hours of taking. Teaching method is very clear, goes over and answers any questions about hw, quizzes and tests. Awsome to talk to outside of class as well

Don't except to come into this class and mess around because you'll fail if you do that. But do your work and you'll be fine. Most everybody in class passed.

Great teacher!I was not looking forward to math at all since it is my worst subject.I took math online because that is how i learn best and her notes are so detailed and simple that i felt as if i was in class!I highly suggest take her for your math.I stand by that so much that i have already signed up for her 0308 and 0310 classes!

She was by far the best techer i could hace chosen, i took 0310 with a different teacher and had to drop the class. she is very clear, many opp for extra credit and always responds to e mails. already enrolled in her college algebra course

She was good at explaining the material during class. I liked how she posted the notes on MyMathLab. I got a 90 in her class. Do not skip her class, the lessons are important because her methods of working problems are often clever and helpful. I suggest her for anyone taking 0310 or 0314.

I took her fall 2011. she is so helpful she writes all the steps down. I am very good in math..when I have a good teacher. For those who are bad in math, she will explain and explain until you understand.

If you struggle with math this the place to be! She puts the lectures online so you can watch it again if you miss something. She grades quickly so you know where you stand. She goes out of her way to make sure you understand. If I had more math to take I would work my schedule around her! I HIGHLY recommend.

this was the best class ive ever taken in my life. if you just do the homework the night prior to any quiz or test you will get a 99 as i did. if you miss a class, she records EVERYTHING so its like i was there. she is good to look at too, but the way she explains things makes her awesome. take it, do homework, get good grade.....easy.

Amazing teacher! She loves to teach & is very nice. She will go over a problem if your getting get it the first time. She will show you how to do problems by doing shortcuts & will help you to remember how to memorize ways to solve the problems. What helps alot too is her recording the lecture she gives & putting it online to review if we need to.

She is a rare breed of math professors left. I love her class! If you struggle at all in math, I highly recommend her. I'm taking her minimester in May for elements of calculus w/business apps. Do yourself a favor and take her! #awesome

Great teacher.Although is online you feel like is in class room, because she records her lectures. The way she explains the math problems is very understandable.Study her study guides, and do all home work and quizzes, and you will do great in this class. You don't need the book, just my math lab access code.

Prof. Mestayer has been one of the best math professors I've ever had. Even though MyMathLab is utilized for coursework and quizzes, she provides you with her own study guides and test reviews. Each exam is taken by hand instead of on the computer so she is able to provide you with partial credit on some of the test answers.

Very clear when giving lectures and making sure every student understands how to solve a problem. Her notes are amazing. When I walked out of class at the end of the semester I felt more knowledgeable in math than I did when I graduated high school.

If you are afraid of Algebra, then this is your Professor. I had to take Intro, Intermediate and College Algebra in one year for my degree. I was not looking forward to it as math in general makes me dizzy. Didn't matter- she has the most organized way to learn and PASS if you pay attention and do the homework. Extra credit on each test helps.

Mrs. Mestayer teaches in a very organized manner and will stop to help you understand if you aren't getting it clearly. She makes sure that you see each problem worked out step-by-step. Every class she assigns homework but nothing that will take you hours to complete. She does record attendence so be there. GREAT TEACHER!

The class was really easy. You can easily make an A if you do your homework and study.

I failed 1314 once and dropped it twice taking it online was a big leap for me, but well worth it. Her notes are exactly like the homework and her review mirrors the exams. Homework was not an overload, quizzes you get 3 chances to take, 4 exams total all proctored. I forgot to mention how much I HATE MATH! PLEASE TAKE HER

Mrs. Mestayer is an amazing professor who truly cares about her students. She is available anytime and is more than willing to help. Her notes match the quiz and the quiz matches the test. Do the homework, show up for class to take notes, and you'll pass.

Her class was honestly easy for me. She always posts blank lecture notes that she will teach off of in her lecture for you to print out and follow. If you miss a class she uploads filled in notes into mymathlab so you don't get behind. She ALWAYS answers your emails when you have questions within 24 hours. All homework is on mymathlab.

Amazing professor ! Pretty easy and right down to the very last word on the syllabus. Do the homework and view lesson videos and you're in good shape. You get 3 chances to get a good grade on the quizzes and the exams are not timed so you can take your time. Use time efficiently and you're good !

Professor Mestayer is one of the best professors I have ever had! I took her for Math 1350 and 1351 and loved every minute of it. She draws you in and makes her lessons understandable as well as practical and almost always gives fun projects that you can use in the future in your own classroom (education majors!)

I loved this class. I will be taking her again for the next math. We would do a few homeworks and then take a quiz and after two or three units you would take a test. Do the reviews and you will do fine!!

I am taking Professor Mestayer again for 1351! I tried this course at Lone Star College Montgomery with a different professor and ended up dropping. This course made so much more sense. Professor Mestayer is very organized, and has notes, test reviews, lecture videos, and worksheets for every chapter. She also emails about hw due dates regularly.

I was extremely nervous to take an online math class but it was a breeze. Now you do have to do all the work and study but it's easy if you just do the work. Professor Mestayer is the most caring teacher I've had. Her lectures are videos; they're about 20-30 minutes long depending on the topic. She clearly states what she expects on the tests. Her emails helped me stay on track with assignments. Tests can be taken at any campus. Overall, I enjoyed this class and will be taking her for 1351.

I took Math 1350 online with Professor Mestayer. Her lectures are all very organized and they're lecture videos EVEN BETTER! Watch the lectures, do your work, put in work (just like any other class) and you'll get an A. By that I don't mean shell give it to you, you will def have to earn it! (just like any other class)

There should be no reason you don't turn in an assignment because she sends out a million reminders. Her projects were super easy and she always gave extra credit on them. You also have 2 easy projects and everything is on mml/D2L. She's so nice & sends reminders often through email!

This Professor is one of those who you will never forget. Not because of her personality or great hair, but because she is a phenomenal teacher. She breaks things all the way down and makes sure you understand. Her lectures are full of detailed examples and thorough explanation. I genuinely wish she taught every subject. TRUST ME ON THIS!

One of the most caring and interactive online professors Ive had in two years. Continuous communication with reminders of upcoming homework, quizzes, projects and test deadlines. Very responsive to any emails with questions or concerns. The coursework is heavy using ConnectMath, but her online video lectures and test reviews are awesome.

Took her for both parts of 1350 and 1351 both as online classes. She is truly amazing, she lectures real specific on her videos step by step.

I never though I could take a math class online but Prof. Mestayer is amazing. She has videos on how to do the work step by step. All homework and quizzes were done on MyMathLab and test were on paper that can be taken at any LSC testing center. Print out the work, watch the videos, do the homework and fun projects and test and ace the class.

Prof Mestayer is my favorite & I'm taking her again next semester. 1350 isn't your typical math class, it's basic math & how to teach it. Helpful video lectures. Light workload: 1-3 sections/week, minimal questions per section. 4 tests that you take at the testing center. 4 fun projects. Walks you through test review, nearly identical to test.

Theres a lot of homework due for each chapter but it really helps you do well on the tests. I took her for both 1350 and 1351. She posts her lectures for each chapter on mymathlab and answers questions well. She really cares about her students and I highly recommend taking her!! I just bought the mymathlab code instead of the whole book.

This class was completely open from the start. With the exception of tests (could use review) and the projects. Very easy. 3 tests, 3 projects. I was able to complete all the homework in about 6 weeks

This is my second time taking Professor Mestayer, and I loved her class that much again! Her D2L is organized, and she does her best to remind you of upcoming due dates. It is an easy A if you follow the checklists and see her during office hours if you need help. Her video lectures and notes are so helpful as well. I highly recommend taking her.

Class was easy but there was a lot of homework. 2 to 5 assignments every week. 3 tests and 3 projects. Tough grader on projects. If you are confused she answers everything in great detail. Posts videos for each concept to ensure understanding. I never understand math but this professor made it easy. Take the class if you have time to do homework.

This professor was amazing!! She has videos that are very clear on how she wants the problems worked out and it helps! There is homework for every lesson and activities but they are not hard as long as you paid attention to the videos! She even has checklists that help remind you when everything is due! Professor Mestayer was amazing. I took her for 8W1 Math 1350 and 8W2 Math 1351. Print out the worksheet provided and follow along with the lecture lesson vid. MML used. Tests were proctored (webcam/lockdown) but you can use the test review during. Responds to emails in a timely manner and cares for students. Take her. I loved it.

This is my third time taking this class bc its been so difficult, but Professor Mestayer made it so much easier! She has many help vids that have step by step instructions on how to solve problems. If you need additional help she always answers emails and replies back in a timely manner. She has clear test reviews and follows the syllabus. 10/10

Online class, had her for 1350 and 1351 at the same time. Definitely doable but takes some work. Extremely organized class. Excellent detail and help for instruction. Easy to contact. She has made this class nearly perfect. Just an incredibly helpful, intelligent, responsive, and organized instructor. Recommend 10000%

I love this professor! She has a very clear syllabus and she follows it to a T! I took both math 1350 and 1351 with her and it was a breeze, for a mini-mester course it was great. I definitely recommend her if you'd had trouble with math. She has so many how to videos and offers even more if you're still confused.

I took her 1332 and co-req 0232 class for an eight-week semester. Easily the best math teacher I've had in a long time. She's great at explaining and her methods stick. The class is already easy though. Just touches subjects you already know. The only reason I didn't get a 100 is because I didn't turn in the homework on time. It's an easy A.
