Very interesting class. Ties the material to real life. Offers lots of extra credit. Do it. The tests require a lot of thinking. Gives the info with a lot of humor - you will laugh a lot while you learn. I was nervous speaking but she talked us all through it and we did the two speeches.

I got an A! She was so nice and I loved going to class! Do the work and pay attention and you will do great. She is helpful and wants you to do well. Everything she teaches applies to real life, loved her teaching style!

She was amazing! I enjoyed her class so much, very nice and caring. A few classmates were very disrespectful. Speeches were not prepared on time and didn't follow instructions, (7 min. does not mean 7 min. PER slide)non smelly food was allowed, so a girl actually brought sushi and smelly soup! Some were late or texting. Wish she kicked them out!!

I loved this class. I waited 30 years to take it and I was petrified and basically if I can do it, anyone can do it!!!! Take her she is really nice and funny!!!!! Class goes by very quickly....two speeches ---- you can do it!!!!!

Meyers is a FANTASTIC speech teacher. She goes above and beyond when she teaches. The rubric clearly depicts what you need to do to succeed with your speeches. There is a substantial amount of little assignments and quizzes, but they are mostly turned in online and can be taken more than once. She makes learning fun. Highly recommend.

Dr. Meyers is a good teacher but she gets of topic a lot. You have to listen carefully for good info as it is mixed in with other non important family and outside world type things. Good teacher all in all. Even if you don't take a business speech class, this one is good anyway.

Great speech professor for shy or scared students. She makes sure the learning environment is comfortable and humerus. I took her for a May mester and was pretty nervous, but it ended up being well worth it. Show you're trying and you're on the road to an A or B. Don't see how you could get anything less than a B. Definitely take Mrs. Meyers!

I took this class as a Maymester course and could not have been happier with how it went. Mrs. Meyers is very helpful and insightful. She keeps the class interesting and took the time to get to know each student even though the course was only two weeks long. She is also very funny. I highly recommend this class.

I love her! Still keep in touch. I hate public speaking but she made it fun and easy! Easy and fun class. It's more like a time to hangout and listen to cool stuff, rather than just another class. I would take her again in a heartbeat. Very smart and wonderful woman.

Even if you have stage fright, she will break down the science of public speaking so that you are confident in your ability going into the first of two speeches! After we studied fear and why we experience it going into a speech it makes it so much easier. Everything you learn in this class is very applicable to everyday life!

GREAT teacher, I wish she could teach all of my classes! But, if you're a student who doesn't show up or doesn't pay attention, you'll get on her bad side, and that's not a good thing.

Professor Meyers is an entertaining and engaging lecturer. She assigns a LOT of homework, and while most of it is easy, expect to have something due almost every class period. She also switches between turning work in online and in class a lot, which can be confusing. All in all love her lecture style and personality, but not a fan of her syllabus.

Meyers is by far one of the best professors that I've had. Making the class entertaining with her outlandish topics, it was definitely one that I never missed. There is a lot of such busy work thats assigned but it is incredibly easy and self explanatory. It's an easy A if you pay attention moderately and show up to class.

She uses the text book but provides the pages so you don't have to go buy the book. I was in constant communication with her through email, she was a fair grader. I am a kinetic learner and I found her teaching style beneficial. I remember tons of the content because of how engaging she was. Participation is key in taking her class. Loved her.

Meyers is a really good teacher she gets a bit scattered but she will always fix the problem just let her know about it. She is super friendly and easy to talk to. I would definitely take her again! She also provides you with the textbook she doesn't believe in making students pay hundreds of dollars on a book so she'll give you the links for it.

Professor Meyers will push you out of comfort zone, but will be right by your side the entire time. I completely blanked out during my final speech, but Meyers helped talk me through it since I asked her to read it the day before and still gave me an A, so don't worry!! This will not be a typical speech class; this is a class on becoming a leader.

You will learn about communication, and techniques to give better speeches. And Life Hacks. You do have to do a little work, but any help you may need is provided. Best TCC Professor I have had.

I took Prof. Meyers for Maymester. Best decision ever! She definitely knows her stuff and will teach you so many life hacks! She genuinely cares about teaching her students how to think for themselves. There is work to do but it isn't too hard. As long as you actually TRY you will be fine. Got a 100% in her course. TAKE HER COURSE. Trust me.

Have trouble with public speeches then you should definitely take Professor Meyers. She does a group speech project first then a partner project and finally working your way up to your own individual communication crisis project. These steps helped with overcoming fear of public speaking and I gained extensive knowledge over the business world.

You're guaranteed to giggle once during class meetings. Assignments are not difficult at all, you just have to do them. Her class is just very enjoyable

I really enjoyed her class and learned a lot about 'real life' things that most teachers do not teach. The only thing I did not enjoy was she is all over the place and have no real schedule. It is nice because there is a lot of leeway with assignments due, but with that sometimes it never gets turned in because there was never a clear due date.

Professor Meyers is unconventional in the way she approaches teaching. I absolutely love it. She cares about people as a whole and strives to make sure they leave her class with practicals to apply in life and in your career. Show up to class, participate, do your work and you'll do great. Take this class, seriously.

My only regret was taking her as a summer course I honestly wish I had her longer

I asked two questions on separate occasions, and she said one was stupid and rolled her eyes at the other. Kind of hurt my feelings, but they were her honest first reaction. I enjoyed this class still, shes fun, funny and has a lot of motivational stories. I enjoyed the class overall. Shes frank, not a lot of people are.

Awesome professor. Works with you on late assignments and there are opportunities for extra credit. Would definitely take her again.

This is one of the best classes I have ever taken and Ms. Meyers is the best Prof I have ever had. She talks about real life issues and you will be a better person in general and in the work force after her class. She can be a little bit unorganized and there are lots of assignments but SO interesting and valuable. 10/10 would take again :)

She is so fun! One thing I will say is if you do not participate you will not pass. This was a Business Comm class and it was so diverse! The assignments were not boring, grading criteria was great, and her email response time is never long! Super helpful on any and all projects, speeches, and assignments.

Participation matter a lot, as long as you try in her class and she sees there's no way to fail. The assignments are interesting and were not that difficult. She made sure to give good feedback so if something was wrong you could understand and correct it. As long as you actually do all the assignments you're good. She is also very accessible

Took as a wintermester course. There was a lot of work, but be mindful wintermester is 2 weeks. She is clear as to what she wants from your assignments. Has the remind app to ensure that she responds quickly to your questions and concerns. Great teacher. Would definitely take again if I had to.

I had prof Meyers for my 1st semester at TCC. One of my best teachers there. There was little to no homework. We had like 4 speeches/presentations, but you could get exempt from the last class presentation and the Final exam if you enter the speech contest. EVERYTHING was open book. Glad I took this class. W Professor.

Prof Meyers is great. This is who you need to take for this course. Prof understands that we are all human and real life stuff happens to everyone. Communication is key with her. Don't fall behind because it'll be hard to catch up.

I took this class my first semester in college and by far its the easiest. Put in the effort and you'll get an easy A. The workload is average. Professor Meyers is so understanding with students and is hilarious.

Professor Meyers is one of the greatest educators I've ever had. I feel so privileged that I was able to have her this semester. You learn about communication obviously, but she does so in a way that's atypical from your normal speech course. Like you learn actual life lessons in there. You also learn to give a mean presentation. Impossible to fail

I loved having her as a professor. Attendance is mandatory as there are a few grades for in-class activities, but she drops the two lowest ones. She is very lax on late work, even allowing you an extra week to turn work in, and very accommodating and even sent me what we did in an email on a day I missed class.

Amber Meyers is one of the most caring, thoughtful and intelligent professors I have met. When my father was in an accident and became paralyzed she worked with me to turn in missing work and cared about my own well being. The class was always clear and concise and Professor Meyers made sure everyone could understand the work. 10/10

I learned so much from Professor Meyers in Business Speech. Her lectures were amazing and not boring at all, there were 2 group projects that were required in order to pass the class but they were both in groups which I liked because it made it easier. Please take her for SPECH-1321!! She made the summer semester so much more enjoyable.

Prof Ambers Meyer's class is very easy everything you see in the homework is what you learn in class so if you pay attention in class the assignment will be very easy, l recommend this class to anyone who wants to take it.

Definitely an interesting lady for sure. Has a lot of good stories and is very nice and passionate about communications. She is very easy to reach outside of class and gives out bonus points for catching any errors she makes. Not always super clear on assignment parameters, but if you reach out and ask she will help you.

I loved learning with Dr. Meyers! Her lectures are very engaging. Her lecture about motivation when learning about the science of persuasion shifted my mindset, in a good way.
