You have got to take this class with Professor Norwood! She is so smart and she is still cool even though she's a professor (lol). She lets you write essays about things that interest you, not the usual boring stuff. And I hear she's in a band, too! That rocks!

If you take Eng 155 take Professor Norwood. She truly deserves all 5s. She's especially clear and helpful, always there. If anyone gives bad rating for this professor then they're just stupid.

She's bomb. SO nice and genuinely cares about her students and their interests. She pushes you to do better in the class and is extremely helpful when you ask for ways to improve. I wouldn't say her class is hard, but you are challenged to do well, you do have to put effort into her class. But she makes it really enjoyable. Take her if possible!

One word; AWESOME! Sure, there's a lot of work in the class, but this isn't high school folks; accept it! She's the best professor a student could have. Not an easy class. But, she is an awesome professor. The only professor that I actually learned something from. Lots of work, but in the end it is very rewarding as you gain the necessary knowledge for business writing applications. She teaches in a practical and realistic way for real life business writing. She is awsome! Kinda strict because she wants you to learn. Her essay assignments are useful! I love her! She lets you revise most of your papers easy homework and lets you get into groups. Shes willing to help you in her office hours.

I took this class online and it was not to bad. There is a lot of work due. You either have a a discussion post or paper due every week. If you can stay on top of the work and remember to do it, its not that bad. However, working in groups is a challenge. She says to pick a good group but you never know what you really get until its already to late

Truly a terrific instructor. Enthusiastic, engaging and thoughtful. She will make you work, but you actually learn something in this class. Great course to prepare for the WPE. Allows open dialogue in class and encourages group workshops for peer reviews. There's moderate amounts of online work; if you do all required assignments you will get an A.

Professor Norwood was a great professor and I would recommend her any day. We worked with the new Eng115 course so we had a little wiggle-room to play in but overall she is nice, unless you do not turn in your work. I didn't read the whole book assigned, but it was really good, and I still got an A. Must do all the assignments to get an A.Take her!

Professor Norwood was amazing. I took her for freshman seminar and she is so down to earth and really wants you to succeed. I loved going to her class and she makes the sometimes boring and repetitive material really interesting.

Nice and helpful? Yes. But for an online class, she gave way to much work. Assigning group projects is a huge hassle when its an ONLINE class. Also, making us make a video resume? Unnecessary and time-consuming. After talking to friends who had different teachers for this class, I realized she assigned way more work than she had to.

She was really kind, nice, and fun. It was an easy class and she doesn't grade strictly. I highly recommend her, she's awesome.

Prof. Norwood is an awesome professor! I thought three five-page essays was going to be a real challenge, but the exercises she assigns before them gets the ideas flowing weeks before and ultimately makes the essay writing process much smoother. Do all the work the best you can and you will be rewarded. Highly recommended!

This professor is just amazing. She teaches with passion, and understands what's it like being a student. Her teaching style is straightforward, clear, and serves the purpose of the course. I would recommend her as your first choice for any class. Just know you just have to do your part, I got a B in the course, due to procrastinating.

Excellent professor. She's clear with her instructions, which can be tough with an online class. There's a lot of assignments so if you aren't a good writer it might be tough, but she will make you a significantly better business writer if you take her class. She's also very helpful if you have questions and is quick to respond. Highly recommend

Course syllabus is clear and professor is very helpful and replies to students quickly. Weekly discussion posts, biweekly individual assignments, and video resume which you will share with entire class to get picked into a group proj which is the final. no final essay, just a 4 part final project.

Really great class. All the topics relate to the business world and she's clear about her grading policy. No tricks. Very helpful too. Best class at Northridge.

Proff Norwood is one of the Best English Proff at Csun. She is very energetic and makes the class environment fun! You just make sure you turn stuff on time. If you are debating, take her on Campus class than online. She is simply Awesome :)

Part of it's online moodle discussions, not hard but you have to remember them. one assignment per week. a lot of group work, so you better pick a smart hard working group. very nice, helpful, and clear. great teacher

I have never taken an online class as interactive as hers! I felt more connected to this online professor than many in class professors. She shows genuine interest in teaching and I loved her lectures. There is a workload for her class so just keep up. Trying to improve her course would be like trying to fix something that's not broken.

Great professor! I wish I would have taken in person. Norwood is very organized and clear on the assignment. I took it online and she made it easy to follow directions and is really interested in helping students. Towards the end you have a group project that you work on for the final. I recommend taking her, she's great!

I really enjoyed this class. I had this class in the mornings she gives amazing lectures and the class is very engaging. There are no tests. You only have to write two essays and one of the essays is your final. But you do have to do weekly moodle discussions and other easy assignments. Take this class if you do your work you will get an A.

Ms. Norwood was one of my favorite teachers. She is always in good spirits and cracking jokes. She makes all the assignments clear. I liked that there wasn't any testsexams in this course. Be prepared to do group work; choose your group wisely because you'll be with them for 7 weeks. There was one group presentation.

For an online class, Professor Norwood was very organized. She was good at responding to emails and any questions or concerns. You must work hard to get a good grade, it definitely will not be given. Take the time to write a well thought-out and correctly formatted paper and you will be ok.

Norwood is a great writer, gives clear direction, and is always in a great mood. She truly cares to do all she can to make sure you do well in class when you reach out to her. Assignments can be long, but they help learn good writing skills. There are no exams and no finals, al lot of reading, participate online, and writing assignments.

She is probably one of the most caring English 306 professor out there. Generally speaking, you will be writing 4 essays and the last two are kind of long, but not that long with other professors. She's very compassionate and would understand any of your situation as long as you go to her OH. I improved my English writing too! TAKE HER!

The best English professor ever! She's very helpful and friendly. The coursework isn't too heavy but you have to put in work. I've always hated taking English courses but I'd definitely taker her again! Teaches everything very clearly.

I took her hybrid class and I do not regret it one bit haha. She's an amazing teacher but since it is half online, you have to be good at independent studies. Her lectures were really entertaining and funny. She uses a textbook that she wrote herself which is kind of amazing and allows you to interact with the material at a more intimate level.

This is the most passionate prof EVER. Took this class online, so many papers, but if you enjoy writing it won't matter. This class has taught me things that I am actually going to use in my career. Such as writing executive summaries, proposals, etc. She cares about her students, will answer all questions, and will actually help if you need it.

Great professor. Took the hybrid class and all assignments given helped with the upcoming papers she would have us prepare. As long as you read the textbook she provides, you'll be fine. Very easy class, just make sure to participate and turn in everything on time.

Professor Norwood is great, especially her textbook which she provides at no cost. Beware of due dates though, sometimes the actual posts are due on Monday when the due date reads Sunday (for responses). Other than that, she responds to email very quickly and is very understanding.

Spring 18. She's a nice professor, she tells you what she wants. Do the discussions, do the papers and you will pass. But if you are looking for a class where you want to work hard and learn then choose another professor. Easy class.

Appreciated her sense of humor. Textbook is written by her so it's free which is great. Just pay attention to the deadlines because they could sometimes get confusing. The assignments were pretty easy and we had one group project. Overall, a really easy class.

Great professor always answered my emails and gave me great feedback. Clear grading criteria as well. Several essays in class but they were not difficult.

Took this class online so there are discussions you have to create and reply to just with any online class. Papers are peer reviewed and include narrative, analysis, argumentative, and a blog for the argumentative one. Professor Norwood is good with providing comments on your paper!! Overall, I enjoyed this online class.

I took an asynchronous course with Professor Norwood and it was my favorite course of the semester. She is incredibly understanding and gives excellent feedback on your work without making you feel like you did something wrong. Although I did not get to actually talk to her once, she was my favorite teacher for the semester. I was excited for class

Amazing prof, she seems so happy and excited to teach. If you think this is an easy A class, however, you're wrong. Multiple reading/annotation assignments a week. Only one weekly meeting but heck of a workload until the next one.

Professor Norwood came recommended and I don't regret taking the course. The bulk of the course was made up of: discussion posts, exercises, and 2 short story assignments. There were other assignments toward the end but the above takes priority. This class teaches how to be a better writer in general but Professor Norwood makes it fun.

Pretty easy course because it is taught by an amazing professor. She does not overload us with homework. Her class consists of daily free writing a little homework and does not have a midterm but as a final, we do a report which is announced a month before. Highly recommend!

I loved taking this professor, she's got good ratings for a reason. She's extremely open-minded and clear in her criteria. Very accessible. Makes the class interesting even though it's a lot of work. I would highly recommend taking her. She's great!

There is a lecture every meeting, she encourages participation and asks questions. Her homework is based on the lectures so they are pretty easy. Her homework included writing E-mails and memos, and there is a final that's a report which you need to do and present with a group. She grades pretty easily on presentations and gives good feedback.

Highly recommend this class. Words don't do it justice ironically but she is an amazing professor. She helps out a lot when asked. Just know that there are a lot of activities where you have to socialize with your peers in the class. Otherwise, it's pretty easy once you put in all the hard work.

This class was a requirement, but she made learning material really fun and clear. She brings in real world situations and engages with their students and answers questions. I would take tjis class again if i could.

Very good professor. Able to make the class fun and interesting, while actually learning something. Learned about the basics of writing in the professional sense. Also had a group research report as our final. There is also a lot of extra credit along the way

This class was pretty easy overall but you had to put in the work. Professor Norwood took her time with grading to make sure we all got good feedback that would help us improve our writing. I learned something new each time I showed up for class and I feel like my writing greatly improved.

Prof Norwood is a genuinely great professor. She cares a lot about her students and often tries to engage in a more personal relationship with her class. Her lectures are mainly on topics you need to know for assignments such as formatting for a report, etc. Assignments might be long but they are pretty easy.

I had this professor for my English 205 class, and her class was not difficult at all. She is very sweet and does not have students pay for a textbook. She provides multiple extra credit assignments. No final exam or midterm. Overall, this class is an easy A.

v easy course. 300/1000 points are from 1 project at end of semester so pick right group!!! a lot of extra credit! most assignments are easy points & almost always an alt. assignment if u missed one that's deducted 10% from the og assignment. course related to “real business world.” very friendly + real professor. not lecture heavy.

Very fun class and pretty entertaining tasks. Prof. Norwood is amazing and clear towards what is expected from students in the class. Always there for her students and provides fair and clear feedback towards assignments. Love this class.

Professor Norwood was the most interesting professor I have ever had, she would be pretty enthusiastic and had a lot of jokes. I like when she would incorporate her humor in the lectures. Also happy to say I learned a lot in this class. I would walk in her class actually looking forward to learn.

Professor Norwood was my ENG-115 (Approaches to UNV Writing 100) and I got to say that she is one my favorites so far!. As long as you communicate with her, everything runs smoothly. In terms of lectures and academics, her lectures are very straight-forward with hints of jokes and light-heartiness. If you are looking to take her courses, do it!
