Professor Douzart was not always that pleasant. her grading is somewhat biased and sckewed. Just when you think you are on the right track with her, she cuts you down. I was disappointed with her but I learned alot during the class.
Good teacher. She is one of the best I have had. You must come to class though.
She is a very good teacher. She helps her students and she is always ready to work with you. A+
SHE'S FREAKING ANNOYING !!! WORST TEACHER EVERRR ! SHE DOESN'T RESPOND TO EMAILS... && OMG SHE IS SOOOO NOT HOTT! SHE PRETTY MUCH FROM DAY 1 KNOWS WHO SHE'LL LIKE AND WHO SHE'LL HELP...
very fun and dedicated professor. i really loved her class
I feel like I've learned more in this class than my entire schooling career. She makes it fun and interesting. I dont particurally like the woman- but I have to give her credit- she is a great teacher. Be prepared for a lot of african-american based discussions and such.
She is awesome. I loved her winter class. She is sooo dedicated, so enhusiastic, she wants you to understand, so she will spend some extra time to explain. Great!
She is a great teacher. The tests are easy as long as you take time to study. I will definitely take her again.
She rarely lectures, instead has you get into groups and teach her, which is BORING. I didn't learn anything in this class that I didn't teach myself by reading the book.
She's great and very fun to learn from. If she see's that you are trying to pass her class, she will help you anyway that she can. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had!
A very Intelligent and Passionate woman about her lectures, she makes history fun, she cares about U. A good grade is possible as long as you show U REALLY want to, and do the required work. BE ON TIME, she will appreciate it, She may give you some extra credit at the end of the semester. Show respect to her while she is lecturing. You'll do great!
EASY class! Her lectures are okay, not the most entertaining in the world but gives you what you need 4 the test. Be on time! Gave extra credit @ end of semester for being on time. She seems a little bipolar, just respect her old school style & you won't get on her bad side
Don't do it... she is all about one subject, which if you take her you will understand... she doesn't care for your opinion even if she is wrong, which many times she was, her test are stupid, i just did not enjoy her at all and i was glad i only had to spend 3 weeks instead of a semester, don't do her government either... thats all i have to say.
one word...HOT! I love professor Douzart throughout the time i was in her class, i enjoyed her lectures and never felt like i was being preached to unlike my previous History teachers. Very passionate about her work. As long as u come to class, take notes, and listen you should make a crystal A. Very easy. But attendence mandatory. No book Required
She starts as a boring professor but later, she gets interesting. She tends to have some mood swings but she tries to make things fun. Tests are based on lecture and some on the book. Be sure to take notes although she can get boring. You have to do a presentation and the students are getting the information from them. It's either you get it or not
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES. She is the RUDEST teacher I have ever had. Is completely unwilling to help students and incredibly ignorant. The class is easy, but I STRONGLY recommend another teacher if you are going to take history online. I cannot say enough horrible things about this professor.
Professor Douzart can be moody and rude at times. But she is so easy! You have 4 tests, 4 writing assignments, and a presentation. The tests mostly contain vocabulary. The writing assignments are your own opinions. This class doesn't require much studying. Just do a little bit and you'll make an A.
Professor Douzart is an enthusiastic, fun teacher to have. She does not give homework assignments in class, and the work is not difficult. But you will learn things you never knew. I love this class!
At first I thought she was cool, but then she became very rude. She talked down to us like we weren't knowledgeable because we are students. Her class is easy, just read the book basically. If that's cool with you, then go for it, but just be aware that she can be a total... meanie.
She was the nicest teacher at the beginning of class, but towards the middle of the semester she got so rude and treated everyone like idiots.
Very energetic. Kind of confusing at times in regards to her attitude towards students.Very passionate & funny when she says that some of the men in history would be her boyfriends. Be on time, and read the chapter before class. Always dresses nice, and always prepared for class.
I took her history class last year, i agree with some other comments. She was very upbeat, energetic, funny etc, but she constantly made comments making sure everyone knew how smart she was, and she could make you feel dumb at times. I never saw her get mean, but sometimes a bit rude.
I took Dr Douzart last fall in 2008 for History 1301 made an A.I took other lecturers before but never made an A in History. She is very educated an excellent Professor with zeal to teach and make sure her students excel.I aslo took her in spring semester for Native American History.
This teacher was very rude but at the same time she was patronizing. When the students had presentations she would interrupt them. But her class and tests were very easy. Still, don't take her class!
Easiest Grade ever, you can get an A if you actually study or a C if you don't either way you pass. She is a strange person though, very strict on her office hour policy, she won't even talk to you right after class
I am in this class right now as I speak, and this professor hasn't taught anything yet. My class ends at 12:10, and it is currently 11:46, and she JUST started the lecture. I was interested in world civilizations and world empires, and she has claimed that she is changing this course to a course exclusively about Native Americans. VERY ANNOYING.
EASY CLASS! I went to class every day, didnt pay attention at all and still got an A. shes a bubbly personality and will help you if you need it. you have to be dumb not to get an A
She's pretentious, patronizing, condescending and downright rude to students as the semester wears on. She has an almost idiotic adherence to some sort of "classroom decorum", refusing to speak to students about pretty much ANYTHING during class, instead inconveniencing them by having to go out of their way to speak to her regarding assignments.
Dr Douzarts class is very easy but you must pay close attention to the guidelines and the syllabus regarding grades! She does NOT like answering questions of any kind during or after class only during her office hours which is extremely inconvenient. She is VERY RUDE and not helpful but if you are looking for an easy A go for it!
1.Do not take this teacher. In the beginning, when everyone else is complaining about how evil she is, you'll see her faults, but you may be that one person to defend her. That will change. 2. She is evil. 3. She believes she knows everything and that she is always right. She is probably the rudest teacher you will ever come across.
This professor is honestly the absolute worst I have had in my three semesters at Richland. She does not like it when you ask questions in class, instead making you visit her during her inconvenient office hours. She is not only rude, but condescending. Most importantly, I learned nothing during the entire length of this course. Just don't do it.
Since somehow my previous comments on her were deleted... Worst professor I've had. I'm in class to learn and in 2 semesters learned nothing unless on my own. VERY easy A, but it's a worthless A. Makes factual errors but doesn't want to hear debate. I can't imagine that more qualified professors are not on the market.
I have attended her class for the first time this semester and all she does is constantly remind us of how "smart" and "educated" she is, she acts like she is the president of the United States and she needs to be put on a pedastool, she is two faced trying to be the "cool" teacher yet she is very rude
Teacher did not understand there was a technology problem with the online class "link broken" error message that tech support was unable to resolve, she was not computer literate & argued with me about the cause of the tech problem. The problem was not within my control therfore I withdrew from the class. Syllabus unclear as to exam due dates.
-Pompous and rude prof. Dates conflicted on syllabus and when it was brought to her attention she scoffed and ridiculed me. Without apologizing, whe amended the syllabus. The class essays were nearly impossible since there was not textbook (she used something she put together on-line). I made an A but didn't learn much - just played the game.
Useless teacher. Don't know why people like her still exist. Avoid at all costs.
WORST TEACHER I'VE EVERY HAD. SPENT MORE TIME HEARING ABOUT HER THEN HISTORY. SHE'S RUDE,ANNOYING,POMPOUS,KNOW IT ALL,& JUDGMENTAL. OFFICE HRS ARE RIDICULOUS. SHE DOESN'T RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS. GRADES ARE DONE ON SATURDAY AT LIKE 11 PM YET SHE GIVE YOU 24 HRS TO DISPUTE THEM AND WHEN YOU GO TO HER ON MONDAY ITS TO LATE. DO NOT TAKE HER!
Professor has an obvious passion for History. Very thorough on lectures. Exams are straight forward. Excellent class. Took all 3 History courses with this professor.
Dr. Douzart is tough and a no nonsense instructor. Bottom line if you follow her instructions you will be fine.
She is rude and doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner. She gives 3 page papers as the exam which she post on monday and the paper is due the next day. She requires you to check in everyday DO NOT TAKE HER.......................
Fun and awesome teacher! Wants the best for her students!
Great Online Instructor.. Exams are super easy, no need to spend hours reading.. Discussion Boards are easy as well, If you don't like history and what a good grade, TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS..
This proffesor is a no nonsens teacher...be aware you have to sign in every day and she does NOT respond to your personal emails. However she will send a mass email letting evryone know to REFER to the Syllabus...instead of adressing my concern.Like that was helpful to me?The assignments are alot of the same stuff. read the post questions and itsok
This professor is very intelligent and very sweet. I took her class online and was very easy. All you need to do is study the material given, complete your writing assignment on time and check in every day.
Took the online course and was completely satisfied.
Daily Mandatory Log In for Online Class. Weekly discussion Boards with 2 responses. Oral History Projects. Reflection Essays. FOUR hard exams for 30 mins. Strict deadlines for assignments. Points deducted for wrong spelling/Grammar. FIVE voluminous writing assignments (1600 words minimum). WELCOME TO HIST 1302 my friends. Have Fun. Pray Hard.
Echo of previous statements regarding Dr. Douzart, she requires WAY too much. Daily check-in, she will say "Written Assignment 6 questions." But then there will be 5-7 questions within the question, that she will say MUST be addressed. She's not very helpful, not friendly, and typically curt in her communications.
Very strict...don't miss a homework, don't miss a deadline, no makeups, no extra credits.
Great teacher, I was a super Genius in her class so It was very easy. Never really studied for the tests if you pay attention and just take some note you'll be set. RECOMMEND!!! HOT!!!
I took her online class, daily check in, you do have 5 assignments to do which you can write by scanning whatever event. Her tests are 20 each questions so far and I recommend doing the test with a group.
She is a really good teacher. TAKE HER!!!TAKE HER!!
If you just do the work, you will be fine. She is a really nice teacher.
Awesome first impression! This woman is very intelligent, accomplished and a true pleasure to be around. Very down to earth and passionate about history. Which in return has sparked my interest for a subject I hated! She is funny! Charasmatic, and I find myself wishing we were BFF's. Could learn a lot from this woman. Definitly recommend!
Dr. Douzart was an awesome professor & I highly recommend her! Took this class online and it was an easy A. Her test are easy as well as the discussion boards just look at the notes
Although I made an A+, I do not recommend this class. A large amount of her information was wrong, so to do well I had to put the wrong answer down on a test to receive credit (I check my facts with both the book and Google). She was rude to other students who asked albeit obvious questions. Interesting when info. was correct, otherwise frustrating
Tough grader, no second chances. Not understanding , no compromising and no compassion. This is just a paycheck for her Huge mistake in taking this course. A lot of the information is incorrect. The quizzes are filled with trick questions. I love history but after taking this professor I am going to be careful who I chose next time.
At the beginning of this semester I was actually very excited for my history class. So, when I walked in to class the first day I was so excited for a fun exciting learning experience. What I received, however, was anything but that. The professor treats you like a kindergartner, dis-respectful, and all around not worth your time. Deserves a zero.
I loved professor Douzart! She does a great job explaining her assignments and even gives you a study guide. Definetly recommend her
Lectures are fun to attend. Don't speak while she is speaking; she will call you out in front of 125 students. Overall, easy A class.
This was the easy and fastest class i have ever taken and i got an A. I actually enjoyed learning the material and retained alot of History from this Winter Mester class. I highly recommend this as a winter term or may term for an A as long as you read and study. Tests are only 20 questions with one hr time limit which is amazingly easy. Oh and to top it off you dont have to buy a book
Teacher isn't the best at responding to emails, but the online class is super easy. Not many assignments or tests. Easy A plus if you do the work. Don't expect much from the professor though.
This teacher assigns SO much work!!! DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! Well unless, you have literally no life and all the time in the world to do ungodly amounts of work. TERRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! you've now been warned.
Grading criteria is clear, but doesn't seem to adhere to own criteriainstructions.
The easiest online class ever. Professor isn't very helpful, but since it is online, it was easy to get an A. Do the work and pass. And don't expect help from professor.
Took the online course. If you do the work you will get an A. Responsive, but doesn't like the communicate via email... Online Textbook!
I took Online class and I got an A, but during entire semester the only email we got was welcome to this course. No extra credit,no help. To be Honest this instructor has very retard policies that makes you hate this course.
Great teacher it was fun i took online my 1st ever and i found it very interesting you write papers upload them and also have to interact with classmayes by reading their papers and comment not a hard course the feedback from others reading your work really gives you a different prospective an appreciation for yourself
The class was very easy, make sure you constantly check blackboard for updates and due dates since they are not posted on the syllabus. I only got an A- because I didnt check for a due date. Super easy to get an A in this class!
Super easy class. 5 tests, 5 writing assignments. Do your work and you'll get an A. Tests are 20 questions and you have an hour to do them, so they are not difficult. Also, textbook is online and provided!
She's really good with emails. Writing assignments are time consuming but not difficult. Tests are always 20 questions. No quizzes. The online class has participation within the discussion board. I would recommend her. She'll always remind you when things are due just check ecampus daily. Book is online for free!
This is a pretty easy class. She is very good at sending reminders of what is due plus there is a syllabus that says it all clear. There's 5 exams and 5 writing assignments which are about the readings you will do from the online book that she provides you with. Just do your work and you'll be fine!
It was fairly easy except the writing assignments which just took time to complete. She grades those pretty strictly (ex. counting points off for spelling errors etc) but she always great with reminders and gives excellent feedback. Make sure you're citing your sources correctly & not plagiarizing and you will get an A.
I was not looking forward to this semester because I hated American History. Dr. Douzart's assignments kept me interested throughout the entire semester. It was pretty easy. I expected it to be a little harder than it was. Be prepared for a lot of reading.
I took this class online, easy isn't even a word had 4 exams only 20question and 5 discussion boards
Great professor. Very professional and nice. highly recommend. No need to buy a book, gives a free one online
This professor teaches mostly online. I wish she taught campuses courses this term at Richland. Easy class. Just a few assignments and tests. Free online textbook. Just make sure you read the syllabus and email policy and complete the work and you will do fine.
I truly enjoy taking this class online with Professor Douzart. I didn't have to buy any textbook because it was available on ecampus by the professor. I got a bit lazy on the discussion board and that cost me my easy "A," but nevertheless I passed with a B+.
I really liked this class because it was fairly simple. The tests are short and you have a decent amount of time to finish up everything. The best perk about this online course is that the textbook is provided, so all you really need to do is skim a little and you'll be fine. Make sure to remember to complete all tasks regarding discussion boards!
Dr. Douzart is great. Read most of her comments. She's fair and works with students. Read the assignments and do the work and you will be fine. Make sure you read her syllabus. If you don't pass the you are either lazy, ignorant or you are not serious about college. This professor is one of the best.
I took her 5 week class over the summer and it was amazing. There is a syllabus quiz, a discussion board each week (4 total), and 2 tests (each are in 2 parts). If you're new to Richland, like I was, than the website might be a little confusing but it's quick to learn. Dr. Douzart is great with sending out reminders and grading quickly!
I took her spring class and she was wonderful. There is a reason why I see she wins awards and why her classes fill up. She really cares. I went to meet her and asked for a letter of recommendation. She wrote my letter and I got into a university. If you have not met her, you need to meet her. This woman is inspirational and she is a great !
Dr. Douzart's class is amazing. Just read the majority of the comments. The textbook is free and she provides assignments and exams. Just make sure that you read the syllabus and do the work. Do not slack off like I did, but I was able to take advantage of the museum credit which helped me. Don't be a slacker and you will do fine.
I took her online summer course and now taking her summer II course. Her class is amazing. The writing assignments are posted during the first week and there are two exams (2 parts each) to assist you. There is also a syllabus quiz to assist you with learning how to navigate the course. I wish I could take her for another course.
I think it's almost an insult to rate a woman of this level of caliber but she really is great. A woman with her degrees and experience shouldn't even be at this place but you can tell she enjoys what she does. The online course is great. I took her also this spring and decided to retake her.
I took her summer online course and it was good. Now if you are new to online courses, it is important that you read the syllabus and take the quiz. Don't just think you are going to get extra credit all of the time and take the easy way out. However, she is fair and professional. She is one of the professors that I will take again.
I agree with the majority of the comments. She really is very good at sending reminders of what is due plus there is a syllabus that says it all clear. I took her summer online. There are exams and 4 writing assignments which are about the readings you will do from the online book that she provides you with.
I completed one of her online courses and currently taking the second one online. The textbook and online course is amazing. Thank you Dr. Douzart for this class!
Dr. Douzart's class is great. There is an online textbook provided and syllabus quiz. Take the quiz and do the museum opportunity. It helped me. The films provided are good too.
great teacher easy A
Great professor! I took this course online and I loved it. No book required, offers extra credit, assignments are very do able. I would HIGHLY recommend this professor!
She wrote several of my letters of recommendation. If you miss out on assignment, it's your fault because she sends reminders and helps you. So if you are lazy and not prepared, please don't bother taking her because she is a great professor and you can tell that she really cares about what she does. Her campus course was great.
She is great. If you fail her class it's your fault because she posts assignments on the first day of class. Just read the majority of comments and do the work and you will be fine. Her courses are not easy but if you do what you are supposed to do, you will be fine.
I just completed one of her online course too. She offered extra credit. I must admit that I did work as hard as I should have but I still try to do the work. I met with her during office hours and she worked with me. Thank you Dr. Douzart!
I just completed one of her online courses. She offers two writing assignments. This was a fast class but The textbook and online course is amazing. Thank you Dr. Douzart for this class!
Wow. Thanks Dr. Douzart. I met with her during office hours and I am glad that I did. I struggled in the fast track course and she sat with me and discussed the course. I am so glad that I met with her. Thanks for an amazing course!
I just took her fast track online and struggled at the beginning. But I worked hard and called her to make sure that I met the requirements. It helped. I will take her again for winter term. I could have received an A, but it was my fault because I missed the assignment. She is a kind professor.
She is great. I met with her during office hours and she worked with me. I am so glad that I met with her. I could have failed but she worked with me. Thank you Dr. Douzart!
I concur with the majority of comments. I also contacted her by telephone when I was struggling in her fast track course and I am glad that I met with her. Thanks for an amazing course!
I just got off the phone with her and met her this week because I was having some personal issues. I met with her in her office. I was nervous but she listened. The online course was great. Just do the work and you will be fine. I loved her course. Free textbook and provides the assignments on day one. Thank you Dr. Douzart!
Doesn't give too many assignments, she leaves the textbook available online for FREE
Dr. Douzart class consisted of only 5 grades which can be tricky if you don't give your best in all the assignments. However, the assignments are pretty straight forward. Dr D, also was very kind to boost up m grade to an A since I was only two points aways. YOU NEED TO TAKE HER.
She's a really great professor. The only thing that bothered me about her was that she rambled a lot and couldn't stay within one specific topic. And she does a lot of group activities during class before the lesson and they should take 10 minutes and they take 30-40 minutes which leads to her being upset that we can't get out of class on time.
Great professor. I enjoyed her class. She is really nice and met with me after class when I needed help. I was able to do well in to course.
I didn't like history or wasn't considering continuing my college education until I took her class. Her lectures are fun and engaging. But she also met with me to assist me with pursuing my college pursuit by discussing my career plan.. Great lady who really cares about what she does.
She took the time to talk with me and helped me improve myself. Before her class, I was good with earning a C as long as I could get through the course. Now, I do not want just to get through; I am going to excel in my education and my life.
This professor is inspiration. I enjoy her campus class. The girls I sit by always talk about what a phenomenal instructor she is. We feel like we are physically transported to the period in time we are learning about. I sent her an email about this to thank her because she meets with me during office hours when I have questions.
I took her online course. I like the fact that she sent weekly reminders. I am grateful because she allowed me to resubmit my writing assignment after meeting with her in her office and discussing my personal reasons and concerns. I let her know who pleasant it was meeting with her and for being so understanding.
This was my first time taking an online course and I was nervous. I did not want to email my concerns and I was afraid to meet with her, so I called her to discuss my challenges. I am glad that I did. She worked with me to assist me with navigating the course and I am glad that I met with her. She even wrote a letter of recommendation for me.
The course was pretty simple. There is no book. She provides reading material online. All of the assignments are basically writing assignments and discussion boards. All of the tests are essay questions. If you read the material you will do just fine.
I just completed her campus course. I wish that I could have taken her for other courses. She became my favorite teacher ever at the end of the semester. I really loved how nice and caring she was to of all her students and I loved her lectures because she made them fun.
She made me want to want to come to class and want to learn about history. Some of us cried on the last day of class. You can tell that she is passionate about teaching.
I took her course and met with her during office hours during the semester after having some difficulty. There were some challenges that I had and she took the time to meet with me and even provided helpful guidance in the course. At the end, I told her thank you for your time and I really enjoyed having this knowledge about American History.
I took history one and two with Dr. Douzart and I made an A in both. I took history two in the summer one session, and I took another class at the same time. This class is easy if you read. The book is online and free! The class consists of four exams and two writing assignments. Read two units, do the writing assignment, exams. Pretty easy.
she is a chill professor for history !!!
She's awesome it's easy online it just time consuming doing the assignments she offer extra credit! I will definitely take her!
If you follow the directions and do the work, you will get an easy A. She gives 2 writing assignments and 2 exams. For her exams, I looked up the answers for MC and the essay portion is exactly the same questions you answer from the writing assignments, so if you do the writing assignments, you will be fine.
I took one of her 14-16 week courses. We had a quiz, reflection, exams and assignments. She took the time to assist me with some issues that I was having in the course. I learned how to take better notes and learned how to cite work because of her class. I am grateful for Dr. D.
Dr Douzart is great not only because of her lectures and her online course but because she takes the time to help her students. She recently helped me with a situation that I was struggling with. I am a former student. I had dropped out and now returning to school.
Super easy class, took the flex term class and only had 2 discussions and 2 exams! I would recommend her for an easy A.
I took her for HIST 1301 16 week course. There were exams, a reflection piece, and writing assignments. We also took a couple of syllabus quizzes. I was able to use her study guides to assist me with the class. If I had questions, she responded. I struggled at the beginning of the class, but I used the class resources to help me with the work.
Took the class online (3 week flex term) course outline VERY clear. Text book online free! Consisted of two writing assignments in which you pick 5 of 8 questions. Read the text book and it will be EASY! "4" test, highly RECOMMEND you know the answers to all the writing assignment questions just because 1 will be on the test (worth40points)
I loved this online class - well, as much as someone can love history. Professor Douzart was excellent and provided great material to learn from (free online textbook/videos). Two writing assignments (5 paragraph-answer questions each) and four tests (each an hour, multiple choice and one paragraph answer each). Sends weekly reminders. Take her!!
Dr. Douzart is a wonderful instructor. She took the time to call me to assist me when I was struggling in this course. She was kind and talked to me over the phone. What a great lady.
I took Dr. Douzart for History Online at Richland College. This course was 4 weeks. The textbook and study materials are provided online. The syllabus is posted with assignments, reflection, syllabus quiz, and exams. She emails and post weekly reminders which helped me stay on track. The textbook also includes history films. Good course. Nice lady.
Great instructor. She wrote my letter of recommendation for University of Texas at Dallas and I am currently taking classes there. I didnt think I would enjoy History but I do after taking her class.
Textbook included. Took as an online 4 week summer course. Lots of reading, videos, 2 tests (non-cumulative). Two writing assignments. One extra credit project, but I did not do because I was happy with my grade. Professor was responsive and helpful.
Great course 4 weeks flex term online. Easy A if you follow the syllabus. She is not regrading, so make sure to get those due dates on time. Her instructions are clear and she grades fast. 2 exams, 2 assignment, discussion boards, extra credit. Taking her HIST 1302 over Wintermester online.
Easy A if you follow the syllabus. Make sure to get those due dates on time. Her instructions are clear and she grades fast. 2 exams, 2 assignment, discussion boards, extra credit. Took both 1301 and 1302 with her A+ . TAKE HER YOU WONT REGRET IT. Free textbook included.
Took as an online class, during a summer flex term (4 weeks). Prof Douzart was helpful and caring. There is lots of reading (free digital textbook) and videos. 2 tests, no final, 2 writing assignments, 1 extra credit opportunity. Prof was responsive to emails. Liked the class.
I had a great time participating in the online course. The class was very informative and the professor was awesome. I would definitely recommend the class to anyone.
I took HIST 1302 as an eight-week flex-term. The instructions for the course were a bit disorganized but easy enough to manage. Overall, the course was easy and interesting.
Good class. There is a syllabus provide that includes all of the instructions. The professor posts and emails announcements and reminder each week. All of the threads are identified organized with the textbook included. I was able to do well by following her syllabus and clear instructions.
I just finished the history course. Dr. Douzart was helpful and caring. Im so glad I emailed her for help. Great course. I like how the course is very organized to help you bc it includes videos and textbook. I was struggling and she emailed me to assist.
Great professor. Just got of the phone with her. I was dealing with a health injury. She called and gave me an extension. She took time to assist me. What a great lady. You need to meet her. Most of her classes are online, but I had her on class campus and recently online. What a great lady!
She is very easy but she absolutely makes you learn something in her class. She has 2 writing assignments and 2 exams that are 2 parts to the exam.
I personally met her on campus and asked her for some tutoring. She gave me her card and later found someone to assist me with history tutoring on the campus. Nice lady.
I liked this professor, she gave good feedback for the essays we had to write and it had clear grading criteria so follow that and you will be fine. The tests were easy as well, answers were online but even if you did not look them up you could easily pass them by just reading the textbook. Overall easy class.
Great Professor do your work and read rubric for the assignments and you should pass.
A great summer online learning experience. Not overwhelming and just enough work to help you understand American history. She has a simple way of teaching and you learn more than you would in a fall or spring course. I would definitely recommend her. She is the best! Do the work and get an easy A.
I took this class online. Her homework is very easy as long as you do the reading, there is an opportunity to do extra credit. DO IT EVENT IF YOU THINK YOU DONT NEED IT. Her lessons helps you develop critical thinking as well as learn more about the past events. Her lessons also include videos. If you do the work, you will pass this class.
Her online class took about four weeks, be careful the due date; it need a lot of reading and typing. I'm slow in reading and thinking, so it is a good practice for me.
I would not take her again online, she puts you accountable for instructions that is not organized and not give enough time when there are technical difficulties. Does not reply on emails right away. It's an easy class but not a friendly flexible online course for FT working students.
Great instructor. Responds to emails wtihin 24-48 hours. Follow the syllabus and you will do well. She responded to my emails and questions.
I just finished her class. She was a good professor to me. I took her four week online course which is a fast past course. Follow the syllabus and do well. Just follow the directions and you should do well. I called her and thanked her over the phone for her assistance.
Dr. Douzart is one of my professors who I asked to write a letter of recommendation with me. She worked with me on the history club so I was able to get to know her personally. She was great.
Yes. I worked with Dr. Douzart previously in the history club. She was great with the club. I also took her class. She recently wrote me a letter of recommendation for a scholarship and job. I am now off to pursue my career because of her guidance.
One of my favorite professors. I worked with her personally on the history club and decided to take her class. I was able to get to know her personally, not just online. She is great. I would also meet with her and call her when I needed help.
Professor Douzart answers emails, you will have to read and watch videos their interesting will not need a book its online you have to send emails the way she requires but its no biggie you do the work you pass you dont you wont its up to you not test heavy, she also returns phone calls to assist you, I will be taking her Hist 1302 online class
Dr. Douzart is one of the best professors out there. If you ever wondered perfection, she is its incarnation. There is a project at the end of the class whereby you choose a museum to visit. That had been one of my best souvenirs.
Great Professor, easy grading, easy A just do the homework, lots of reading the videos make the assignments much easier and the videos are great, textbook is online took this class fast track 4 exams Discussion Boards are very simple I took both Hist 1301 and 1302 you will not fail unless you choose not to do the work you will not regret this class
Dr. Douzart took the time to assist me when I had questions. She is quick to respond to emails (24-48) hours. I plan to take her again for HIST 1302.
I completed Dr. Douzart's HIST 1301 and HIST 1302 course this spring. She was wonderful. I think that I would take her fall course in another subject. I was most impressed with the course design that she used including the textbook and videos and the fact that she posted frequent reminders to help me stay on track .
I was about to fail this course, but Dr. Douzart reached out to me. I should have contacted her, but she reached out to me. I plan to take her again.
I completed Dr. Douzart's fast track course. There were assignments, exams, and other completed work. I was able to navigate the course design using the films and readings. I enjoyed the course.
Dr. Douzart is great. If you failed the course, then you are lazy. Do the work and you pass the course. She sends emailed reminders and helps you to repost. She even worked with me.
DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. SHE IS A HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!!!!
I completed Dr. Douzarts fast track course. Theres lots of reading but I stayed patient with the course. I stayed on top of my readings and followed the syllabus. There are two assignments and tests to complete. I enjoyed the class. She was responsive to my emails and helped me to redo an error I made.
Dr. Douzart is one of the best. I completed her spring course. I am going to leave detailed information because some ratings are not true or detailed. If you think she is bad, then you are lazy. She sends weekly reminders, grades fairly, provides the required syllabus, includes writing assignments and exams. She emailed me when I needed help.
I was so unprepared. I thought I knew everything. Boy, was I wrong. I am glad I took this course during the spring. She provides a free textbook, assignments, tests. I learned so much from the syllabus assignment. I thought that I could write and knew stuff, until I took Dr. Douzart. Thank you for learning and being patient with me.
I was able to navigate the course design using the films and readings. I enjoyed the course. Make sure that you stay on top of everything because this is a fast track course. I did. She also took time to send me reminders which was helpful. I stayed organized by using the syllabus and weekly announcements.
I took her HISTORY 1302 and she is an easy teacher. I recommend to take her online she has two writing assignements which are very easy and four tests which is VERY EASY. I got a 98 and took her in summer. I recommend to take her if yall have the chance. EASY A+
Take this course if you want an easy A. Best History prof ever bro. Took her 3 week course just had 2 writing assignements (answering some questions) 2 test split in 2 parts each. Bro easy work. Not difficult at all. Periodt
Easy A. the textbook units are short and informative and her assignments take an hour at most. Graded by few EASY things, just do everything. CITE all your work, do discussion board posts to safe assign AND reply to a student and to her by 5pm. No way you can make a B in her class. She's very nice about sending reminders too.
If you do not like history This is an easy A. Goes by the syllabus due dates. took her 4 week course. what to expect in this class is that there are 9 assignments. 4 unit exams, 2 writing assignments, and 3 discussion board. Will definitely recommend.
Took Dr. Douzart for HIST 1&2, exact same format. Interesting material. Two initial assignments related to student success (required, but work like extra credit to boost your grade) then four exams and 2 writing assignments (they prepare you for the exams) 2 questions "reply to instructor" on the discussion board after posting assignments. AMAZING
A great teacher!
Great professor. All readings are provided in summary form as well as informational videos. Just submit 2 writing assignments of 5 questions each for an easy A. Exams are very easy if you read the material. Extra credit is allowed. This is a work at your own pace class, so you can even knock it out is 2 weeks or less!
Dont remember this class but I passed with an A so it mustve been easy. Definitely take her. if I passed, yall will pass too cause....
Dr. D is great. Textbook provided online. She also took time to send emailed reminders for assignments and exams which was great. I stayed organized by using the syllabus and weekly announcements.
Just 10 due dated with this professor, only thing difficult were the writing assignments . If iIpassed you can too.
This professor is amazing! She is very organized and gives you all online access to every assignment from day 1. As long as you stay ahead of assignments you can pretty much work at your own pace. I would absolutely take any class from this instructor again. I hope all my future online instructors are as organized as well as she is.
I was able to navigate and manage Dr. Douzarts course using her announcements and syllabus. I used the films and readings. I enjoyed the course. She also took time to email me reminders which was helpful.
Great professor! She is very easy going and super understanding. Easy A/B, you would just have to put the time and effort. No hw, besides reading and taking notes for the 2 writing assignments and the 4 test you need to study for.
The only problem/issue I had with this Professor was that she did not give specific (for each day) reading assignments, but overall I did enjoy this class. There are four tests which cover each unit, so it is not that bad. The other major thing was a PSA project, which was not that hard.
Took her summer course. The were four exams and they were easy! A lot of answers can be found on the internet. We had two writing assignments. Super easy! She is very understanding and kind. I would recommend her. Easy class!!!
Dr. Douzart's summer course was great. It was a 4 week course so there was a short term to get the readings done but I was able to do it. The syllabus includes the outline for the course and she provides access to all of the writing assignments and reading materials day 1 of the course. You just have to organize yourself and use time management.
Check the weekly announcements for reminders about readings and what to do each week including the readings and assignments, read the syllabus for everything, and course materials and you will do fine.
the class itself was easy, just 4 tests (closed book), 2 writing assignments & a PSA. the textbook is free, just you need to make a schedule for the readings. I didn't get along with the prof because I would email her with questions, she would reply and go off on me for emailing her out of hours and not answer anything. Her "hours" were 1 hr a day!
This instructor does not teach campus courses. I took her online course that meets 100% online. There are no in person meetings for her online courses. I completed all of the assignments. Just complete and read the syllabus and complete the work. I was able to complete the work.
I completed this online course. This course meets online. There are no virtual/in person meetings I think due to COVID. I completed the 2 assignments and 4 exams. Great course. I am taking the next course.
One of the best and easiest history courses. I took another history course and this professor is by far better than the previous one I took. I completed her assignments and examinations. The study guides helped. Use the syllabus to assist you with deadlines. You can also work at your own pace. Great and flexible professor. It is online.
This is an online course. There are no in person meetings. I was able to work at my own pace completed all of the assignments using the syllabus, units, threads. There are 2 assignments, 4 exams and a museum assignment for extra credit. Great instructor.
After taking HIST 1301 with another instructor, I am glad that I signed up for Dr. D's course. This was an online course. No in person meetings. There are no office hours. Just a virtual course. She responds to emails and provided feedback. I am glad that I took this course because I was able to successfully complete it.
This history online course was great. I was able to complete the work at my pace using the syllabus. This is a virtual course. She did not teach on campus or have campus office hours. I enjoyed her course and wish I could take her in person. Great professor.
This was an online history course which meets online. I was happy that she posted all of the work on the first day of the course (which most professors do not do). I took both her courses. Great professor.
Great course. I took her online HIST 1301 and HIST 1302. I was glad that I took her.
This is an online course. There are no in person meetings or classes. This course is organized in a way that I was able to pass and I was glad because I was nervous about taking history. I was happy that I took a history course like this because I did not know anything about history. This is the course to take.
I took her 1301 and 1302 and she provides all of her information on day 1. Most professors I took do not do this. I was in the hospital and she worked with me to complete work on time. I am glad I took this course. I wish she taught other courses.
I completed her class and it was great. I was glad that she offered all of her work online during the first day which most professors do not do. I tried to sign up for her HIST 1302 and it is already full. I will try to take it later. This course was online.
Just do the work in the syllabus and you will do fine. This is an online course that meets online only. There are assignments, exams and a few things that is graded. Just do the work and you will do fine. I followed the syllabus, the guidelines, and course materials and did well.
Just follow the syllabus and course information and you will do fine. The course I took was online. The textbook, assignments and exams were all online and I was able to complete all of the work in 4 weeks. The course is manageable and you should be able to complete.
If you do like history, this course is for you. Goes by the syllabus due dates. took her 4 week online course. there are unit exams, writing assignments, and discussion board. Will definitely recommend.
You have all online access to every assignment from day 1. Most of my professors did not do this. As long as you stay ahead of assignments you can pretty much work at your own pace. I took her for 1301 and 1302. I was successful in both courses.
I was able to pass both HIST 1301 and HIST 1302 and I am glad. I am glad I dropped the other professor's class and took her course. The course is manageable and I am glad I passed.
I made an A in this course. I enjoyed the course and I hate history.
I was nervous about taking hist 1301 because I do not know history, but I am glad that I took this course. I made an A!
Great course. Everything is available on the first day. I was able to get a good grade
I took both HIST 1301 and HIST 1302 and did well in both courses. All of the work is posted day 1. There were writing assignments, unit exams, and other work for the course.
She is an amazing teacher. Took her for HIST 1301 and 1302 during the summer. You do not need to buy the book she provided it for you. Read the textbook and submit all your assignments on time. Her instructions are clear and also gives extra credit.
The professor Amazing. Very organized and clear construction. Will take this Professor again.
Douzart is very lenient when it comes to due dates; gives adequate time to complete assignments. Tests are straightforward and easy to ace if you read the textbook and are attentive during lectures. Plenty of extra credit opportunities come from in-class participation and answering extra credit questions.
Dr. D is the best. I met with her during office hours because I missed dates during covid and she helped me make up missed work.
Awesome class. Just finished her HIST 1301. Plan to take HIST 1302
She is an amazing teacher. You do not need to buy the book she provided it for you. Her instructions are clear and provides assistance online.
Took her for HIST 1301 during the Fall. Textbook provided. Read the textbook and submit all your assignments on time. You should be fine.
Professor Douzart's class is straightforward and easy. There were only 10 assignments for a 16 week course, one of them being extra credit.
Dr. Douzarts history 1302 8 weeks online course was a breeze. only 9 assignments-1 syllabus assignment, Two writing assignments, 4 Exams, and 1 PSA assignment for your "final". easy on grading, take this class if you want an easy A.
Took the online course. I Followed the syllabus, read the textbook, and complete discussions and other stuff for the course. There were weekly announcements that are posted to help you with reminders.
A good professor! If you want to pass a history II course you should definitely register for her course.

Good course and prof. I was dealing with some major personal issues and I was able to complete the course. I reached out to her about my issues and I am glad that I took the course during the summer because it was four weeks and I was going thru alot. I was able to complete the course.
Douzart made learning US History 1 simple and straightforward. I took her 8-week class and had 2 writing assignments, 4 exams (no lockdown browser), 1 writing project, and a syllabus assignment. She provides the textbook so you don't have to buy it. Lots of reading but as long as you do it then you'll make an A.
100% online class. Four major exams encompassing the material. She provided study guides for them. The test questions can be a little tricky so read over them carefully. Assignments I found simple, there were two writing assignments and another project about a topic of your choice from a list. Extra credit was also offered. You watch videos also.
I had been having difficulties and several personal issues this term. However, Dr. Douzart helped me during this very difficult time. I was able to complete the examinations, writing assignments, and discussion board posts for this course.
I loved this professor so much as well as her lectures. She is really sweet and understanding. There are 3 writing assignments in total and they are spaced out over the course. She gives extra credit for participation. There aren't a lot of notes she tries to make sure you are able to jot down the notes without a lot of writing. 10/10 recommend!
She's a wonderful professor and gives LOTS of extra credit! But her Exams are difficult, not open book, and no study guides. No matter what you get on your exam though, it's easy to pass with all the extra credit she gives. She's enthusiastic, passionate, and loves her students. She can be a bit strict with emails, but super friendly face-to-face.
Excellent professor for this course and I enjoyed this class very much. Definitely recommend
Professor Douzart is among the TOP 3 Professors I have ever taken. First of all her class is incredibly easy. She waves a lot of assignments if you just attend class. 5 week course. Two writing assignments (long and tedious), two tests (each two parts so technically four), and two syllabus assignments. Extra credit offered. Prof gives feedback and is lenient with first-time mistakes. Responds to emails quickly. Clear grading criteria. You can knock the assignments out daily and just relax the rest of the course.
Really easy just 2 writing assignments and 2 exams and the reading is very manageable and you actually learn something. Take this professor.
