These people are idiots - she is a great teacher -Bio is NOT an easy class to begin with and she gives you typed out notes and explains things over and over - you have TONS of opporunities for extra credit. Yes she is hard to understand but she does try, you actually understand it after a while. Biology is hard regardless - she makes it less hard!

She is nice and friendly. She has tried her best to explain difficult concepts and terms in Biology. She gives a lot of extra credit. It is helpful since she reviews what we've just learned in the class all the time. Making note cards right after every lecture would help a lot. Don't wait until the last minute to do so.

She is a little difficult to understand at first, but she grows on you. She is VERY nice and really does offer a lot of extra credit. Her tests are all multiple choice and she offers extra credit on those as well.

Amee Is Wonderful I failed BIO 2 times It is a very hard class.. However Amee helps you learn and wants her students to succeed doesnt talk down or think she is better then her students.. Very Helpful and offers so much extra credit.. High recommended!!!!

Great teacher! This class was not easy. Ms. Mehta is fairly new to teaching and has a hard time controlling the class. She did get better towards the end. She is very nice and willing to help anyone, but you should be prepared for a lot of studing in order to do well. A little hard to understand at first, but by the 2nd week it was totally fine.

She is a good teacher. the people who say that she is mean or all this other crap w/e she is a fair teacher. her clarity is a hard but you do get use to it after a week or so. I passed her class and she was very helpful to me when I had questions. she even went off on the side to anwser my question. she is young and does know her stuff.

AWESOME TEACHER! This is my second class im taking with her and i hope next semester she will be teaching microbio...she knows the material really well. She is a little hard to understand at first but you get used to it. She also gives plenty of opportunitys for extra credit.

You could tell she was out to help us. I took her over summer which is crampt. What made it hard was not so much the material but that she was learning it with us. She is extremely helpful.

Dr. Mehta has been a great instructor so far. She is always in tune to any concerns by the students, and enjoys teaching. She reviews the material and though it is a difficult subject, any student up for the challenge will be in good hands. She encourages extra credit at times, energetic and willing to help anyone.

Shows great enthusiasm for subject. Provides resource material on Angel. The only "real" challenges are the 6 exams and 2 lab practicals (900 of 1200 pts). This professor is simply amazing and so nice. She may have an accent, but she explains very well, and if you still do not understand, she will find other ways for you to catch the concept. She makes biology easier, although we all know it isn't a easy subject and you still must study to do good. I wish she taught Bio 2.

The skinny: 4 tests and final, lab quizzes but she tells you what to study & not hard, homework not hard either, writing essays, Tests and lab practical are completely off her notes so MEMORIZE those! Busy class but worth it. Great Teacher, very understanding, loved every minute of it!

She gives you lots of chances to earn points, reviews important material multiple times, sticks to the text and her notes so you know what to expect, but you have to study! 5 exams, daily lab quizzes & homework, & 2 lab exams. i took this class as a hybrid, it was a very tough subject but Mrs. Mehta was very helpful, she answered emails in a reasonable amount of time. she gives study guides for chapter tests and lab practicals and does anything possible to help you achieve the grade you want in this class. i would definitely take her for every class she teaches.

If you want to feel as if you are taking a walk in the world of a eukaryotic cell, then this is the teacher for you! Class attendance madatory, pay attention, take detailed notes, and study hard. She truly made this subject one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever encountered.

This class took up MY WHOLE LIFE. No lie. There are 8 exams- 6 tests, 2 lab practicals. 15 Lab reports, 12 quizzes, 4 hw assignments, etc...Needless to say, I was studying all the time to get an A in the class. She's very nice and helpful though. MCB is just tough in general. Lots of studying is needed. Didn't use the text book, just lab manual!

Prof. Mehta is the best Science teacher I have taken! It's true: She gives you the Sakai notes to use as a guide for her Exams. I still used my book as a reference and the pictures helped too. She is understanding and will help you when needed! She did her part as a Science Prof.....she got me interested in the Mircobioloy field!

Professor Mehta is very passionate about the course and truly cares that every student succeeds. Be aware, the workload is EXTENSIVE (at least it was for the summer session) so you will need to study from day 1. Her lecture tests are based from her notes and she reviews prior to lab practicals. I studied every day to get an A!

On the first day she came in wearing an "I heart parasites" shirt and was excited to teach! Micro is interesting and labs are FUN. Professor offers chapter notes to follow the lesson useful for exams, connect HW where u can also find the recorded lecture, adopt a microbe(monthly journal entries & presentation @ the end). All the extra work allows you to accrue points for your desired grade. TAKE HER SHE IS AWESOME & knows her STUFF!!!!

I loved my time with Professor Mehta and I will most definitely miss her. I love her enthusiasm in class and she always comes in with a positive attitude. A couple of group projects are done with this specific microbiology teacher. They are worth it and will help your grade. Lots of lab quizzes but they help you prepare for the lab practicals.

Just like in biology, she showed each and every day that she genuinely cares about her student's education. She is very passionate and wants you to understand the subject. Its a tough class, but she makes it fun :)

Honestly, I found the lectures to be agonizingly long and there was a lot of work, but it was worth it. She was great at explaining difficult concepts and provided many helpful resources, alongside her clear passion for the subject and genuine care for her students. Best professor I've ever had and completely changed my academic trajectory.

Her powerpoints and the master's biology are all you need to succeed in the class. She gives many extra credit opportunities and explains concepts very well. She also has pre-recorded lectures that help me. Biology is a lot of information thrown at you, it should be taken into consideration the amount of time you dedicate to this class. take her!

Professor Mehta was excellent, she offers her students multiple different resources, encourages active learning and provided the class with many different resources to help you master the material. She was friendly and was always willing to help answer questions and provide assistance in both the lecture and lab.

I took this course Spring 2023. Ms. Mehta is an outstanding professor and always looking out for her students. Making sure everyone understands the material and if not she offers alternative study labs and practicums for her course. Requires a lot of studying and taking notes. Could have improved my grade if I did not work so much.

The reviews are not fake! Professor Mehta was the best professor I've ever had, and I completed 4 years at UCF before taking this class. She genuinely makes an effort to get to know her students and cares about their success. Material an be difficult, but she does an amazing job and I was shocked at how manageable the course was. Take her! She is amazing, gives out tons of extra credit, wants to help you, 4 unit exams, 2 practicals, 1 final, easy if you read the book, I got a 100.99%. It's a bio class be prepared to work, she makes it hard to fail but you still need to put in the time. If you need this class though, take her.

Not enough good things to say about Prof Mehta! Her study guides are broad but very accurate. For labs, memorize the guide and you're 100% set. For lectures you should study the textbook and study guides. She gives so many random extra credit points, that I wouldn't have gotten an A without. I would take her for every single science if I could.

Prof. Mehta is simply amazing - passionate, caring, and truly wants her students to succeed. While the material is challenging, she provides great resources like study guides and extra credit to help. Unstuckstudy was a game-changer for my study prep. I'd take her class again in a heartbeat!

Passionate, very informative and gives lots of sources to help you succeed. The labs are alot of memorization but easy to do. The quizes were not that hard, make sure to study. Exams are very straight to the point, but applying your knowledge is crucial, does quiet a lot of extra credit and is flexible with you.

Professor Mehta is probably the best professor for Bio. She talks a lot, but it's clear she loves what she does and is very passionate about Bio, which makes the class a lot more fun. There's quite a bit of EC opportunities, and it's not hard to get a passing grade as long as you pay attention and do the Lecture HW. She's really amazing :)

I love this professor she is amazing and I'm taking her again for microbiology. I will say biology is very coursework heavy so be careful scheduling it with your classes. She's very caring and really wants and encourages you to do your best and pass her class.

This professor is amazing I took her for biology also. I love her so much she is so so sweet and understanding and will work with you, communication is super easy. 1000% would take her again if I had any more classes needed. Class is clear with all points and calendar marked out for you just show up to labs and lecture and you'll be fine.
