Very nice and funny professor. Lots of assigned readings, but sparknotes usually covers everything you need to know for reading quizzes. Participate in the class discussions because the more discussion your class has, the less likely she'll assign future reading quizzes because she thinks everyone's keeping up with the readings. Take her!

Professor Lewis is AMAZING. She may be a little corny at times, but she is great teacher. She is definitely NOT a tough grader. Attendance is really not her main concern but she gives a lot of in class assignments.

She is passionate about the subject which allows the class to be engaged. She truly cares about what students have to say, and this is not really a class soley focused on grades. She's a fun professor, helpful, and so straightforward. As long as you do what she says, it's an easy A. I passed with a 99 and that is just because I read.

I loved Dr. Lewis's class! Each class had great discussions about the texts we had read. There were a few pop quizzes, but they were mostly free writes just to ensure we had read, and she only gave them if she suspected we weren't reading. Pretty tough tests, but not a harsh grader at all. Participate in class and it will be fine!

I absolutely loved Professor Lewis. I was sad to see she wasn't teaching English 1102 because I was definitely going to take her again. We only had 4 papers the entire semester, and the rest of the grades are in class assignments, half of which we worked in a group on. She is very positive and extremely nice. I highly recommend taking her for 1101.

She's great! I had her for World Literature and if you read all her power points, its an easy A on her tests. She puts all her stuff on D2L and is a really great teacher.

I rarely use the book in her class, share a book between two or three people. She's funny, interesting and gives amazing feedback on how to fix your papers. We do in class peer review, and she speaks in a way that is extremely clear. There is no bias, and she's amazing. Good luck!

Professor Lewis was awesome for my first English class for college. She loves to do powerpoints and is willing to help you on your paper if you ask her. She is awesome professor!! I wanted to take her again, but her class filled up quick!!!

Took Prof Lewis' online for ENGL1102 and I definitely enjoyed the course. Just do the work on time and the class is an easy A! Had topics that were very thought provoking and if you had trouble, she responds in a timely manner. Not too much required work for an online class, but we had assignments due every Tues/Sat.

She is fantastic! Available via email or discussion posts. Will review and provide feedback for individuals, if requested. Absolutely take her classes. I am searching for more myself!

Amelia Lewis is AMAZING. She makes me enjoy English when it is my worse subject. Definitely an awesome online class yet I'm sure she's great in class too. Not too hard of a grader but she makes sure you don't slack off. :) She's so helpful & if you send her your drafts, she will review them.

Doctor Lewis is a great professor. She really wants you to do well and is always willing to help. UTILIZE HER OFFICE HOURS! I am not a particularly strong writer, but she would read my entire draft and critique me which made me a much stronger writer. I learned how to write well in her class. If you can take her, take her!

Professor Lewis is by far one of my favorite teachers Ever!! Going into her class, I was never required to write papers and I felt that was my weakness. However, she cares for all of her students and provided help during her office hours or by email to look over ever single one of my drafts. We had 4 papers and a participation grade almost everyday

I took this class online and it was very easy and laid back. She has a routine, every Tuesday and Saturday things are due which include paper proposals, peer reviews, open note quizzes, or essays. It sounds like a lot, but online was definitely the way to go. No exams!!

I took this class online and Prof. Lewis was just an all around great professor. She had essay topics that were actually interesting to write about, gave great feedback on essays, and was available outside of class. She also provided a lot of extra resources if writing isn't your strong suit. Definitely an easy and chill course to take.

If you get the chance to take Dr. Lewis DO IT. You have 4 papers across the semester, you are always fully prepared to turn them in. A few discussion posts & other writing prompts, easy if you make sure to read the articles. She gives great feedback on papers & is always fast in responding if you need help & will work through assignments with you.

Easy and fun, little to no writing, lenient attendance policy and actually doesn't hate students. Knows her stuff.

Dr. Lewis is a great professor! I took her for ENGL 1102 online and it was honestly a really insightful class. There are four papers, and for each paper are mandatory peer reviews. In between are HW assignments due each Saturday and Tuesday. It wasn't a lot at all and I took this class with a full schedule. I would absolutely take her again!

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. NO TEXTBOOK FOR THIS CLASS. There are 4 papers, occasional 10 question quiz, a couple of free writes and discussions, and some peer reviews. The peer reviews are all dependent on the type of classmates you have, but Dr. Lewis is always willing to help with your paper if you reach out.

She's really interactive with students and is always in a cheerful mood. I never got bored in her class because she doesn't dwell on lectures. She gives ACTUAL feedback on papers to help you write better. She's super reasonable and enjoyable. If you hate literature i'm sure you will gain an interest in it after her class.

Dr. Lewis is absolutely amazing. You go over readings in class so you really dont have to read prior and she gives you a few assignments in class that as long as you do it you will get a 100. I took the hybrid class so there were online assignments every Friday that were super short and she gives 100s on everything. If you can, TAKE HER!!!!

Take her if you can! She is, by far, the best literature I have ever had. She is so caring and wants her students to succeed. Her grading is very lenient and classwork is graded based on an attempt. 3 test (half MC half take home essay), weekly online activities, and final project that is basically anything you want to do.

Took her online. Pretty straight forward and easy! A few papers but nothing too difficult or out of the ordinary english class. Dates are spread pretty well so its a easy class to keep up with! She responds super quickly as well. Definitely would take her for an easy A!

this is my first online class experience and it was amazing!! due dates are tuesdays and saturdays. there are 4 units and each ends with a major assessment like a paper or project. clear rubrics and very helpful feedbacks! she has a groupme and it doesnt take long for a response. overall, this class is very straightforward and id highly recommend

Amazing teacher! it was a hybrid class, so we met on Monday's & Wednesday's and had an online assignment due on Friday's by midnight. There are no essays, and the tests are very easy. 3 tests and about 30 multiple choice and a written portion. The written portion is due by Friday (about a week to do it). You get 5 skips before starting to get 0's.

Dr. Lewis is a very nice and caring professor. Readings are all posted to d2l and are either short stories or poems. Course material relates back to real world issues. There are 3 exams that consist of a multiple choice section and a written section. She assigns a final project where you can practically do anything within reason.

Dr. Lewis was one of my favorite professors this semester. She cares about her students and her teaching. She is always available outside of class to help you with papers and she will even read them for you first before turning it in. She also lets you write more about what you love towards the end. For sure take Dr. Lewis!!

Usually online classes are hard to keep up with and can be confusing, but professor Lewis was so clear on her expectations and does not overwhelm you with work. Only had for half a semester, she was a replacement of the original professor. she did go easy on us but overall her energy is amazing and she is so sweet, you can reach out to her and she will reply within minutes.

Professor Lewis is great! Her class isn't full of papers to write with very specific topics to write about like some professors, most of the papers have such a broad topic that you really have the freedom to write about what you want which really makes passing so much easier and there isn't tons of homework assignments either! I loved this class mostly because Mrs. Lewis was so good at giving feedback. Her paper outlines are very clear and explanatory as well as her lectures. I cannot say one bad thing about this class because it did teach me a lot. I would 100% recommend you take any of her courses.

What a great professor, prob the best one for ENGL at KSU. The lectures are very engaging and she actually lets the students be a part of them rather than it just being the professor running their mouth the whole time. All assignments are interesting and she grades very fairly. She does take attendance but this is a class you will want to come to.

Professor Lewis is amazing! She's a wonderful educator and an even better person. If you are lucky enough to take this course expect great feedback and fun assignments. She really goes out of her way to make the class engaging! I highly recommend taking her course it will be the best English class you've ever taken.

Wow is this class easy. Seriously, just show up to class and you get free participation grades. There was only two papers: unit one response and final research paper. The papers were so easy I had to worry about exceeding the length instead of meeting it. Very kind and cares about her students.

A great professor, and I mean great! Lectures are very engaging and allow students to really express their thoughts. By far one of the easiest and most fair professors I've had with grading. Participation will make you thrive in this class so be sure to show up as often as you can. She does take attendance but does give you free days to miss.

Attendance is mandatory but she gives you 6 freebies to use during the semester and the work for your missed days get exempted. She does not give test and you only have 4 papers during the semester. There is no final exam it is a final project.

GREAT professor. Lectures are interesting and material isn't the "basic" American Literature Books. Great Grader who offers feedback. Gives extra credit & is very flexible/accessible. Genuine professor who cares and wants to help you succeed. Also 3 1-page writing assignments instead of exams! I would 100% recommend.

VERY easy class. English composition in and of itself is a bit of a joke, but online it's even more straightforward. As such, this class is an easy A. If you are able to write even semi-comprehensibly, you will be fine. Just be sure to write about what she wants to hear.

She is the best Lit professor I have ever taken. The class mostly consists of reading short stories and then discussing them in class. She is very energetic and made me feel highly engaged in the class. There are some pop quizzes, but they are rare and easy. Most grades come from essays, which are not too hard.

Dr. Lewis has easily been one of my favorite professors by far. She is very nice and is a very easy grader. You will more than likely get an A on an assignment just for answering the prompt questions. There aren't any right or wrong answers on majority of the assignments. She just wants to see your thoughts and ideas. Lectures are very engaging too

This is the best english professor ever. TAKE HER. She is so nice and will go above and beyond to help you. She gives discussions or free- writes that are so easy. 2 Response prompts which gives you options to choose what you want to write it over. We discuss more than just writing, like movies/tv shows. The final is a project which is really easy.

Only one research paper the entire semester. The whole semester and each unit is just how to write a research paper. You do parts of it as you go along and are given a lot of time to do it. A lot of completion/participation grades that take no more than 30 mins. The lectures are short and to the point. Easy A.

My favorite professor that I have ever had at KSU. I took this class online in Spring 2023, and she was absolutely amazing. Not only did she organize her class extremely well, but she also showed great communication through group me and announcements. This made her class feel so much more personable. I look Engl 4580 with this professor. There were a few "papers" throughout the semester. Most of the grades come from discussion posts and free writes. She was a very nice professor who offered some extra credit and allowed for movies/tv show episodes near the end of the semester which was a nice break.

She is one of the best English teachers I've had. Her class consists around focusing on one final paper that you work on throughout the semester. There are smaller assignments that help you write your paper. She gives great feedback and responds relatively quick over email. Definitely recommend this professor!!

Dr Lewis was the best! She was super understanding even if you made a pretty big mistake in your work and would let you redo it. She understands that us students have lives outside of school and is willing to work with us to keep us stress free. Workload was barebones. Discussion here and there and essays were short and easy. Amazing teacher. She's very friendly and chill with her work. She practices free write and allows us to write with more feelings and our own words. The class is primarily made up of free writes, major assignments (plenty of time to prepare), and reading checks. I took the hybrid version of the class and both the in-person and online components we're very well organized. Her emphasis is on creativity.

Great professor, probably one of the best at KSU! She allows 7 UNEXCUSED absences with NO penalty. Super caring and understanding, as well as replies to emails fast. I would take her a million more times if I could. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

She was a great teacher; she is really nice and understanding if something comes up and miss and assignment just let her know and she'll more than likely give you a pass but don't make it a habit. You do a lot of essays but it pretty easy and she gives you ample amount of time to do them at least 1-2 weeks. would highly recommend.

For ENGL 4580 - 20th Century Lit. Great class - new material, fun final project. This was my last elective but loved this professor, highly recommend, take if you can!

I took the World Lit may-mester class. Easiest thing ever. Lots of short essay and discussion posts, but totally doable. No quizzes. Lewis gives so many options to do for your final project. Made a 100 as my final grade. Take this class over the summer. You won't regret it.

Overall great teacher, very interactive. Biggest tip is to do readings just in case of a reading quiz (they aren't hard though). Allowed 7 free skip days and any work missed during those times are not counted against you. Also extra credit.
